No. of bitstreams: 1 Ana Lúcia Nunes Pereira.pdf: 1764700 bytes, checksum: 7690156c519f4d7366e5c0ed751f86da (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-10-23 / Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPq / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The aim of this research is to analyze the supervised curricular internship in non-school educational services and their contribution to teacher training. The question posed was: Which is the formative contribution that the supervised curricular internship in non-school spaces brings to the teachers in training from the pedagogy course of the State University of Bahia (UNEB)? The general objective was to investigate the formative contributions that the supervised curricular internship in non-school spaces enables to teachers in training from the pedagogy course of UNEB. The specific objectives were: to analyze the articulation between curriculum, culture and the formation in the internship in non-school educational services; to identify, in the political and pedagogical project of the pedagogy course from UNEB, the elements that define and constitute the internship in non-school educational services; to analyze if the internship in non-school educational services contributes to the formation of the students of the pedagogy course from UNEB. The theoretical reference is based on the conceptions proposed by Afonso (2014, 2001), Bauman (2012), Brandão (1995), Contreras (2013), Chizzotti and Ponce (2012), Marcelo Garcia (1999), Gohn (2013,2010), Grundy (1991), Haddad (2016), Pimenta e Lima (2004), Freire (1967, 1980, 1983, 1987, 1989, 1992, 2000, 2002, 2006, 2013), Feldmann (2014, 2009), Gimeno Sacristán (2007, 2002, 2000, 1999), Vásques (2011), Zabalza (2014). The analysis of the authors' ideas allowed understanding the context in which the supervised curricular stage develops in non-school educational services, as well to enlarge and interpret the data produced. This is a qualitative research, developed in two independent stages. The first stage was the bibliographical and documentary research. The second one was an investigation of the phenomenon, to understand the vision of the subjects involved in the formation process. Considering the importance of the data collection instruments to the process of a research, to this phase was selected the observation and the semi-structured interview as methodology. The subjects of this study were 30 training teachers and 05 Professors that coordinate the curricular internship, all of them belonging to the State University of Bahia. The results showed that the internship in non-school spaces is important to enlarge the performance of the pedagogues, as a space for the construction of training and humanization and also explained the distance between theory and practice in the development of their actions. It is expected that this research may encourage others studies in the field of the internship in non-school spaces to the teacher training / O estudo se propõe a analisar o estágio curricular supervisionado em espaços não escolares e suas contribuições na formação dos professores.

It is based on authors such as Fazenda (1991), Bianchi (2004), Abdalla (2006, 2009, 2011, 2012), Pimenta (2009, 2013), and Freire (2013), in order to understand the training of the professors, the knowledge required for the educational practices and the Supervised Internship (SI) in the training of Bachelors of Tourism. And, to conceptualize sustainability and the environment, authors of the likes of Lemos (1999), Rodrigues (2000), Ruschmann (2000), Sachs (2007), and Melo (2011) were used. This is a two-stage qualitative survey, as per Lüdke and André (1986) and Bogdan and Biklan (1994). At the first stage (2nd half/2012), a questionnaire comprising open and closed questions was applied to 21 students. At the next stage (2nd half/ 2013), semi-structured interviews were conducted with six students who graduated in Tourism and, to deepen the data (1st half/2014), interviews were also made with three more. Data were analyzed and interpreted based on the content analysis technique (BARDIN, 2007; FRANCO, 2012), which allowed two dimensions of analysis to be identified: Academic training and the Supervised Internship practice. The results enabled us to identify: In the 1st dimension - academic training in Tourism - two analysis categories: 1st the challenges of training for Tourism and for Environmental Education and Sustainability (EES); and 2nd the potential of training toward the EES; and in the 2nd dimension - the Supervised Internship (SI) practice -, plus two more analysis categories: 1st internship challenges and difficulties; 2nd the potential of SI for EES. The contributions made by the SI to EES in training students taking the Tourism course were thus presented, highlighting: 1st the need for closer ties between theory and practice in the various course components aiming to strengthen these students' skills and abilities; 2nd the importance of SI providing better grounds for this theory/practice coordination, debating environmental and sustainability issues, and 3rd the valuing of an education geared by action and for action, which has in the internship the germination stage for new paradigms that can sustain and transform training, whether initial and/or continued, for these students and/or professionals working in the area.

O enfoque da promoção da saúde nos projetos de extensão universitária na área da saúde / The focus of Health Promotion in the university extension activities in the area of health

Silva, Ayodele Floriano 31 March 2011 (has links)
Conclusão: Os projetos de extensão são importantes instrumentos na formação de profissionais aptos para atuar com a perspectiva da Promoção da Saúde junto ao Sistema Único de Saúde / Introduction: The extension is one of the powers of the university. It is believed that the extension projects are a training tool for professionals able to work in the perspective of health promotion proposed by SUS. In this context, the focus of Health Promotion to look at these interventions in health is relevant for evaluating the potential of such activities. Objectives: To analyze university extension activities carried out in three units of USP - Faculty of Medicine, School of Public Health and School of Nursing - under the focus of Health Promotion and know the perception of teachers and students on the contribution of university extension health professional training of participating students. Skriftpraktiker i gymnasieskolan : Bygg- och omvårdnadselever skriver / Literacy Practices in Upper Secondary School : The Writing of Construction and Health Care Pupils

Westman, Maria January 2009 (has links)
The aim of the dissertation is to demonstrate and explain the place and function writing has in all subjects in two vocational classes in a Swedish upper secondary school. The material has been collected through ethnographic field studies in construction and health care classes over one school year. The material consists of literacy events, where pupils write, and the context of situation and text are noted. In theoretical terms the study takes a discourse analysis perspective, where writing is seen from within different frames. Writing is analysed based on an ideological view of literacy inspired by New Literacy Studies using the context of situation and text with the aim of describing different literacy practices in both classes. The material was classified into three different situation types, two school-initiated and one non-school-initiated. The first school-initiated situation type is orally-governed, the second writing-governed, while it is less clear how the non-school-initiated type is inspired. In the writing situations we investigate the writing activities that are used, while texts are analysed based on text acitivites. Writing and text activities are used together to explain the writing competences that are used in the writing situations. The conclusions are that writing gets little space and attention in both classes. The health care class writes in more situations and also writes longer texts than the construction class. Literacy practices differ between the classes. The health care class demonstrates one school-governed writing practice, while the construction class moves between two different school-governed practices. The literacy practices in the construction class are similar to the writing usage that can be found at a building site. Writing is used in both classes mainly to structure and store knowledge. The non-school-governed material also shows differences between the classes. Here too more writing takes place in the health care class. The function of the non-school-governed writing is to communicate and inform through writing.

Profesinės mokyklos suaugusiųjų mokymo skyriaus informacinė sistema / Information System Of Adult Training Department in Vocational School

Kriaučiūnienė, Sigita 17 January 2005 (has links)
The process of IT integration into labour market vocational training in smaller regions of Lithuania is very slow because of the shabby budgets of vocational training schools and low computer literacy of the staff. This is the main problem, why information systems in these institutions are not created and used. Thus, almost all documents, related to the administration of labour market vocational training are filled in manually. With integration into EU, the number of trainees from labour market raised tow-three times in Lithuania and time costs of vocational training administration increased as well. To reduce the time costs of vocational training administration, information system of vocational school adult training department is created. Guidelines for users of created information system are also presented.

Brandmannautbildning på distans, en het fråga : om utmaningar, motsättningar och förändringar vid implementering av distansutbildning / Firefighter Training at a Distance, a hot topic : on Challenges, Contradictions and Changes in the Implementation of a Distance Training Mode

Holmgren, Robert January 2015 (has links)
In recent years, distance courses combining online studies with physical meetings on campus have become increasingly common as an alternative to regular campus courses, even in vocational training programs with extensive practical skills components. This thesis is focused on the implementation of distance firefighter training in Sweden and the ways in which this intervention has affected training activities and participants, as well as on the impact that historical and contextual training aspects have had on the implementation process. Based on a sociocultural and activity theory framework, a longitudinal, comparative study was made of the distance and campus study modes, focusing on those challenges, contradictions and changes resulting from this intervention that have had the greatest impact on the students’ learning processes, the instructors’ teaching roles and the basic training program as a whole. Four data collections were made over a period of about five years. The data consisted of interviews with students and instructors, observations of practical exercises, logbook notes and general documents pertaining to the training programme. Three phases were identified in the implementation, viz. an introduction phase, an extension phase and a consolidation phase. The introduction phase was characterized by a focus on instructor-driven approaches where the instructors’ traditional one-way knowledge transfer approach to teaching was gradually re-assessed, which made possible the introduction of a technology-supported, more process-oriented and student-centered course design. This resulted in the distance students beginning to take greater individual responsibility for their studies than the campus students, who proved to be more dependent on the knowledge imparted by their instructors. The extension phase, during which other instructors, usually with little experience of technology-supported teaching, and additional student groups were included in the distance training, was characterized by a normalization of the changes brought about during the introduction phase, meaning that, to some extent, they tended to shift in the direction of the traditional knowledge transfer and practice-oriented approaches of the campus training mode. This tendency can be attributed to conflicts between the instructors’ conceptions of the online learning environment and their views of how vocational training should be conducted. The manner in which they dealt with these conflicts can be summarized as quiet resistance, manifested by reduced online presence, less support to the distance students and a continued focus on their commitments on the campus program. Over time, this appears to have resulted in the distance students adapting their study strategies to the dominating attitudes in the training program and spending less time interacting online. Although these patterns also occurred in the consolidation phase, it would appear that during this phase the distance students developed their own goal-oriented and self-directed learning strategies. An important conclusion of this thesis is that the traditional attitudes commonly found in the firefighter profession had less impact on the distance students’ learning processes than on those of the campus students. Furthermore, it was found that the implementation of the distance mode was a catalyst that brought to light conflicting views about the program’s goals and core content, and contributed to established attitudes to teaching and learning being challenged. However, it also contributed to some extent to changes in the approaches to teaching. Finally, the thesis demonstrates that the gradual changes in course design and the division of responsibility between instructors and students in the technology-supported distance mode resulted in the students becoming more goal-oriented, more focused on exercise preparations and better able to participate in exercises in a manner that deepened their understanding of the complexity of exercises.

Empirical studies on human capital and natural resources

Dömeland Narvaez, Dörte 20 December 2006 (has links)
The first chapter of the thesis on "Empirical Studies on Human Capital and Institutions" presents estimates of returns to education in Germany and analyses the determinants of educational choices. The second chapter uses estimated returns to home country experience of US immigrants to provide empirical evidence that trade increases on-the-job human capital accumulation even in less developed countries, thereby resolving the theoretical ambiguity whether trade increases or decreases learning-by-doing. Similar to trade, GDP per capita, a high average level of educational attainment and stronger quality of policy and institutions are found to be positively associated with on-the-job human capital accumulation. The last chapter analyses the effect of natural resources and aid on institutions, providing empirical evidence that contrary to aid, mineral and fuel abundance tends to be associated with significantly lower quality of institutions if ethnic fractionalization is large.

The dialectic of inclusion in education: a possibility against a backdrop of contradictions "A case study on the implementation of the policy of inclusion for students with disabilities in education network Faetec"

Bianca Fátima Cordeiro dos Santos Fogli 15 December 2010 (has links)
This study is based on a reflection about the implementation of an ongoing policy of inclusion, which proposes vocational training as a possible means of inclusion of students with disabilities in society. This is a qualitative research, developed by means of a case study with an ethnographic approach, coupled with field experience acquired in our practice with the school system Faetec. The locus of investigation was the Inclusion Program, because it is the administrative body responsible for implementing the policy of inclusion in the school system. The procedures used as instruments for data collection were participant observation, document analysis, open and semistructured interviews and focus groups. We sought to understand the limits and possibilities of the implementation process of a policy in action with aiming to the removal of barriers to learning and participation of students with disabilities. For data analysis, we used content analysis. The data collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers in charge of the Inclusion Program and also in a focus group revealed the challenges and the real conditions of the institution in relation to: admission policy for students with disabilities to network education Faetec, fuzzy concepts about the inclusion in the institution, human resources-related aspects of teacher education, accessibility and the need to support the educational inclusion. The study revealed not only the contradictions, but the complexity of the inclusion process experienced in the network, particularly in the context of institutional culture. The study highlights that the process of inclusion in education is developed in Faetec into a possibility, still presenting itself immersed in a scenery of contradictions. It points to a need to expand the studies in the cultural area, since this dimension proved essential. Lastly, we emphasize the importance of considering the training of teachers in an inclusive perspective and dialogue and the role of schools and educators in attendance to student diversity, with a view to their human and professional.
