Con el presente trabajo pretendemos brindar una mejora al área de Gerencia de Supervisión de Contratos” derivada de la “Secretaria General Permanente” de INVERMET del seguimiento y control del contrato. Considerando la problemática que tiene lNVERMET (Fondo Metropolitano de Inversiones), en la cual es preciso realizar algunos cambios para que la labor que allí se ejecuta se haga con una mayor efectividad para los servicios de planificación, supervisión de operaciones y reportes. Mediante este proyecto se obtendrá un sistema web que ofrezca ser un centro de participación donde los usuarios y el área intercambien información que retroalimente a ambos, para su fortalecimiento, todo esto de una manera más interactiva y en un solo lugar. Facilitar al usuario el registro de los datos de las fichas de contratos, obligaciones, garantías, seguros y penalidades. Permitir llevar con el sistema el control, seguimiento y conformidad de las obligaciones del contrato y penalidades, mediante alertas. Permitir consultar y generar reportes de las penalidades y obligaciones pendientes del contrato. In this paper we provide an improvement to the area of Management Oversight Contract "derived from the" Permanent Secretary General "of INVERMET the monitoring and control of the contract. O advento da tecnologia da Internet, juntamente com a World Wide Web, popularizaram e permitiram uma grande expansão e demanda por aplicações web. Por executarem em um ambiete heterogêneo e complexo, as aplicações web apresentam várias características que as diferenciam dos sistemas tradicionais. As particularidades dessas aplicações tornam o fator qualidade essencial para o sucesso dessas aplicações. Alguns requisitos de qualidade, como usabilidade, confiabilidade, interoperabilidade e segurança devem, então, ser validados. Para assegurar a qualidade desejada, são necessárias executar as atividades de Verificação, Validação e Teste (VV&T). Dentre elas, as mais utilizadas são as atividades de teste. Os critérios, estratégias e ferramentas de teste precisam ser identificados e avaliados para se estabelecer uma relação entre os custos e benefícios entre elas, a fim de guiar a escolha de cada uma durante os testes de aplicações web. A realização de estudos experimentais para realizar essa análise beneficia tanto a academia, nas atividades de ensino e pesquisa, como a indústria, nas atividades de seleção e aplicação de critérios, estratégias e ferramentas de teste de aplicações web. Para que os resultados obtidos estejam acessíveis, é proposto o desenvolvimento de um portal de conhecimento que disponibilize de maneira sistemática o conhecimento obtido sobre critérios, estratégias e ferramentas de teste de aplicações web. Esse portal tem como objetivo oferecer às organizações um ambiente compartilhado de conhecimento, a fim de proporcionar a existência de um ciclo de criação, troca, retenção e reuso do conhecimento / The development of internet technology, along with the World Wide Web, made popular and allowed a demand boom and expansion of web applications. Web applications present some characteristics that differentiate them from the traditional systems, since they execute in a heterogeneous and complex environment. The particularities of these applications demand quality as an essential factor for success. Is this way, quality requirements, like usability, reliability, interoperability and security must be validated. To assure the desired quality, it\'s necessary to execute the activities of Verification, Validation and Test (VV&T), where the most used are the testing activities. The testing criteria, strategies and tools need to be identified and evaluated to establish a relation between the costs and benefits, in order to guide the choice of each one during the tests of web applications. The carrying out of experimental studies benefits the academy, in the activities of education and research, and the industry, in the activities of selection and application of criteria, strategies and tools of testing web applications. Moreover, these results need to be accessible to make available information to the interest people. This work presents the development of a knowledge portal, to facilitate knowledge sharing in a systematic way, with information of test criteria, strategies and tools for validating web applications. This portal intends to offer to the organizations and academic institutions a shared environment of web application test knowledge, in order to constitute a knowledge creation, change, retention and reuse cycle

The purpose of this thesis was to come up with a new architecture for an existing web based planning and administration tool at Ericsson. The main objective was to create a new architecture with a proof of concept implementation. To find out how the existing tool were being used we interviewed people with different roles within the company. We made observations as they performed their day-to-day activities in the tool. We then designed and implemented a new version of the tool. We came up with a database design that handles a very dynamic use of data types. On top of the database we created REST API to allow data to be easily consumed by a web interface and other internal systems at Ericsson. We also showed that the architecture we ended up with performed well even with a lot of objects in the database. We did also come up with a solution to allow people to work simultaneously with the same parts of the system without overwriting each other’s changes.

The complexity of Web sites are increasing and transforming into Web applications that contain business logic, interactivity, transaction handling and states. This phenomenon forces the Web developers to adapt more traditional software engineering techniques to keep the Web applications error free, maintainable, reusable, well documented etc. Many Web developers do not use any engineering techniques at all and design mainly to create as fashionable applications as possible with no regards on the application?s functionality. This results in applications that are hard to maintain and with poor functionality. The purpose with this thesis was to see if the use of a more traditional software engineering technique, namely the Unified Modeling Language with the newly added Web Application Extension, resulted in a Web application with good design regarding the maintainability of the application. To investigate the maintainability of an application, the maintainability was further divided into three sub criteria: extensibility, reusability and documentation. These three criteria were then applied on a case study were a Web application was designed. From the analysis of the final design, using the three criteria, the maintainability was derived. The result of the entire investigation showed that the UML WAE had a good support for extensibility, fair support for reusability and very good support for documentation. From these results the main conclusion was derived, that the use of UML WAE resulted in good design regarding the maintainability. However, the result is limited to our case study and the design created in that case. The result may have been different if the three criteria had been applied on a different case. Another aspect to consider is that the quality of a design is often dependent on the knowledge of the persons that carry out the design.

Vi ser en förändring i hur vi använder applikationer. Från att tidigare varit associerat till en dator och begränsat till ett par operativsystem finns de numera överallt. Fler plattformar innebär att man måste utveckla en applikation till var och en av dessa. Detta gör att utvecklingstiden och kostnaderna ökar och efterfrågan av crossplattformlösningar i form av webbapplikationer har därför ökat. Vi tittar närmare på hur det går att använda sig av HTML5, och övriga tekniker som en modern webbläsare har integrerat stöd för, för att utveckla webbaserade applikationer. Vi tar reda på om det finns några hinder eller begränsningar i detta och om det finns några fördelar i att använda webben som plattform. Resultatet indikerar att med de nya tekniker som är på ingång kan man utveckla webbbaserade applikationer med prestanda motsvarande Java eller C#. Nya tekniker är ständigt på ingång. Genom att uppdatera kunskapen om dessa, tillför vi ny kunskap om hurvida HTML5, tillsammans med dessa nya tekniker kan utveckla webbaserade applikationer som är kraftfulla nog att börja ersätta plattformsspecifik programvara.

The report deals with the experiences and results that arose during the development of the webapplication Bakkassen, a web shop where visitors can order pre-portioned ingredients to bread andpastries. The main objective of the report is to answer a question about how to design a usable andtrustworthy web application. A market plan and a survey was made to determine the target audienceand what features that should be implemented on the web application. The agile work methodologyScrum was used during the development and the work resulted in an easy understandable interfacewith colors chosen with care. The study shows an example of how a usable and trustworthy webapplication can be developed, but because of the limited scope of the study it is hard to draw anygeneral conclusions. / Rapporten behandlar de erfarenheter och resultat som uppkom under utvecklingen avwebbapplikationen Bakkassen, en e-butik där besökaren kan beställa hem portionsförpackadeingredienser till bröd och bakverk. Rapporten syftar till att besvara frågeställningen om hur enanvändbar och förtroendeingivande webbapplikation kan utformas. För att bestämma målgrupp ochvilka funktioner som skulle implementeras gjordes ett förarbete i form av marknadsplan ochenkätundersökning. Utvecklingen följde den agila utvecklingsmetodiken Scrum och resultatet var enwebbapplikationen vars struktur ämnade att underlätta för användaren genom ett lättöverskådligtgränssnitt och färger som valdes med omsorg. Studien visar ett exempel på hur en användbar ochförtroendeingivande webbapplikation kan utvecklas, men några generella slutsatser är svåra att drapå grund av studiens begränsade omfattning.

The aim of this masters thesis is to create a customized visualization web application of consulting services statistics. This to allow users to get an overview of time management through clear visual links between developers, customers and tasks. The design of the application is based on literature in usability and information visualization as well as a usability test. This thesis work resulted in a JavaScript based web application using the web framework CakePHP which follows a model-view-controller architectural pattern with visualization components implemented in Javascript.

Detta examensarbete har gjorts på uppdrag av Compare Testlab på Sätterstrand, Hammarö. Målet med arbetet var att definera en uppsättning frågor och punkter som ska vara med i ett lättviktstest med inriktning på säkerhet. Efter mycket studier av böcker och webbsidor kom vi fram till att det inte var så lätt som vi trodde att definera ett allmänt säkerhetstest för mjukvaror eller applikationer. Efter samtal med uppdragsgivaren bestämdes det att arbetet skulle begränsas till webbapplikationer.Internet används mer och mer för varje år som går och det dyker upp nya webbapplikationer i snabbare takt än gamla försvinner. Många företag är beroende av webbapplikationer för att kunna bedriva versamhet. Även andra företag och organisationer, som inte är helt beroende av webbapplikationer, har ofta nytta av dem. Denna rapport behandlar vissapunkter och aspekter som man bör tänka på vid ett sådant test. Dessa punkter inkluderar till exempel autentisering, säker kommunikation och attacker mot webbapplikationer. / This work has been done on behalf of Compare Testlab that is located on Sätterstrand, Hammarö. The purpose of the work was to define a set of questions to be considered in a light-weight test with a focus on security. After a study of literature found in different books and at web pages we came to the conclusion that it is not as easy to define a general security test for software or applications as we thought from the beginning. Hence, after talking to the employer it was decided that the work should be limited to web applications.Internet is used more and more for every passing year and new web applications appear faster than old applications disappear. Many companies are dependant of web applications to be able to conduct business. Also, other companies or organisations that are not totally dependant of web applications often have good use of them. This report investigates some points and aspects to be considered in such a test. These points include for example authentication, secure communication and attacks on web applications.
