Kooperative Medien in der Gruppenarbeit an Hochschulen

Beuschel, Werner, Draheim, Susanne 15 December 2014 (has links) (PDF)

Weblogs and the traditional news media in the U.S.A. : A comparative study of the changing roles of weblogs in the news coverage of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina

Patel, Mayav 22 October 2008 (has links)
This report is a preliminary exploration of the issues concerning traditional media and weblogs at two points in time. It examines the difference between the American mainstream media’s utilisation of weblogs during the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001, and the utilisation of weblogs in the hurricane Katrina disaster in 2005. The mainstream media’s response to the weblog form during the attacks in September 2001 and the hurricane Katrina disaster in 2005 are examined, together with an exploration of the traditional coverage. It reveals how weblogs have become a more significant part of disaster coverage by mainstream media in the United States. These processes and the implications of these changes are explored for an understanding of how the weblog is altering our understanding of the construction and dissemination of news for the traditional media institution in the United States.

Comunicação corporativa digital: o futuro das relações públicas na rede. / Corporate Digital Communications: the PR future on the net.

Terra, Carolina Frazon 12 February 2007 (has links)
This project consists of research about digital communication, especially weblogs, as a relationship tool between the companies and their publics. In this context, the public relations are fundamental to identify which publics have conditions to interact via web and what are the best content, layout, tool and functionality that digital vehicles should present to target the audiences effectively. Besides that, the simetric and bidirectional communication gets stronger with digital communications, which contributes to a better relationship created by digital public relations.

Den sportjournalistiska bloggens karaktär : En kvantitativ innehållsanalys

Larzon, Christoffer, Rispoli Helling, David January 2008 (has links)

The aim of this paper is to describe the characteristics of the sport journalistic weblog. To achieve this we have used the following questions: Which themes are included in the sport journalistic weblog? How much text does the sport journalistic weblog content? How often is multimediality incorporated in the sport journalistic weblog? Which references occur in the sport journalistic weblog? How many hyperlinks occur in the sport journalistic weblog? How many of the hyperlinks is internal respective external? How often does the sport journalistic weblog offers possibilities to interaction between the journalist and the reader? How often does interaction between the journalist and the reader occur?

The theories we have used is both online publishing and Jan Schmidt’s analytical framework on blogs. Online publishing describes an important part in our paper, online journalism, which in turn describes three important definitions for this paper; hypertextuality, multimediality and interactivity. Jan Schmidt’s theory is central to understand the phenomena, and functions as a starting point in the analyze part. The method that we have used is a quantitative content analysis with a descriptive approach. This paper consists mostly of reliable sources, with only a few exceptions which we have constrained in our work. This means almost all sources are science material.

The conclusion of this paper is as follows:

The most appeared theme in the sport journalistic weblog is athlete, followed by the official fact theme, and from then on the private life theme. The general conclusion about the first question is that the most common theme is the athlete theme. Text is counted as words, and the sport journalistic weblog contents 177 words (related to its mean value). But note that the variation in words is quite large in different weblogs. Multimediality is almost exclusively excluded in the material, only pictures appear in some degree in the weblogs. The most common reference in the sport journalistic weblog is the journalist’s personal experience and references of complete or parts of quotes and interviews. 227 hyperlinks appeared in the sport journalistic weblog, where 215 was internal and 12 external. Another conclusion in this paper is that there’s always an opportunity for interaction between the journalist and the reader. Indeed this possibility creates chances of interaction, but its importance is quite insignificant because it’s not being used. It is, however, more regular with interaction from the reader than the journalist. Therefore we can conclude that the interaction is more like a one-way communication, rather than dialogical.

Beyond the Blog

Hendrick, Stephanie January 2012 (has links)
This dissertation examines weblog community as a materially afforded and socially constructed space. In a set of three case studies, this dissertation examines three separate weblog communities between 2004 and 2008. CASE STUDY I looks at knowledge management bloggers in order to better understand how bloggers form communities. In this case study, it will be shown that blogs group thematically and in temporal bursts. These bursts of thematic activity allow for movement in and out of a community, as well as act as a bridge between different weblog communities. CASE STUDY II examines two pseudonymous bloggers in order to better understand how presentation and identity is understood in blogging. It will be shown in CASE STUDY II that social identity in weblog communities is negotiated through blogging practices such as transparency in writing and truthful presentation. CASE STUDY III delves further into social identity by examining a community of academic bloggers and how traditional, institutionalized expectations influence social identity over time, and if this influence differs in the core and periphery of the community. It will be shown in CASE STUDY III that there is indeed a difference in how social identity is negotiated and performed between core and periphery members of a weblog community. Finally, a model towards an integrated approach to researching blogs is put forth.

Emergence of a Cancer Identity in Emerging Adulthood: Weblogs as Illness Narratives

Soltermann, Tanya C. 21 February 2014 (has links)
The focus of this research is on the specific relational and particular circumstances that result in an emerging cancer identity expressed through the daily lived- experiences of emerging adults via personal weblogs. Identity, a complex term in its own right, is discussed here under the rubric of social identity as processual, therefore it is expected that an emerging cancer identity will develop as the participants begin to narrativize their daily experiences with cancer on their weblogs. By critically engaging with notions of emerging adulthood theories with theories on the sociology of death and dying and illness narratives, this research seeks to understand the specific psychosocial changes that occur as the participants engage with their illness on their weblogs, which arguably contributes to an emerging cancer identity.
