Målet och syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på hur en damfotbollstränare bör vara och agera för att spelarna ska utvecklas, detta utifrån spelarnas egna perspektiv. Studien har en holistisk inriktning och gjordes ur hermeneutiskt-fenomenologisk tradition. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och totalt nio respondenter från tre olika fotbollslag deltog. Undersökningen genomfördes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer där deltagarna var aktiva damfotbollsspelare.  Frågeställningarna som tillsammans med teorierna transformativt ledarskap och situationsanpassat ledarskap ligger till grund för resultatet är: vilka pedagogiska tillvägagångssätt gynnar damfotbollsspelare? Vilka tränaregenskaper gynnar damfotbollsspelares utveckling? Vilka faktorer ökar damfotbollsspelares motivation? Studiens resultat påvisar att damfotbollsspelare anser att viktiga ledaregenskaper hos tränare stämmer överens med viktiga ledaregenskaper hos både transformativa ledare, där engagerad och peppande är grundläggande egenskaper, och situationsanpassade ledare, där en anpassningsförmåga är a och o. Vidare påvisar resultatet att damfotbollsspelare tycker att framgångsrika pedagogiska tillvägagångsätt hos en tränare är att ge konstruktiv kritik och feedback, samt att ha en god spelidé, matchlika träningar och struktur. Gällande faktorer som spelarna anser öka sin egen motivation går det utifrån resultatet att tyda att pushande, peppande, uppmärksammande och motiverande var faktorer som ökade motivationen, dessa faktorer är mer vanligt förekommande i det transformativa ledarskapet än i det situationsanpassade ledarskapet. / The aim and purpose of this study was to find out how a women's football coach should be and act in order for the players to develop, this from the players' own perspective. The study has a holistic focus and was made from a hermeneutic-phenomenological tradition. The study has a qualitative approach and a total of nine respondents from three different football teams participated. The survey was conducted through semi-structured interviews where the participants were active women's soccer players. The questions that together with the theories of transformative leadership and situation-adapted leadership form the basis for the result are: which pedagogical approaches benefit women's football players? Which coaching qualities benefit the development of women's soccer players? Wh factors increase women's soccer players' motivation? The results of the study show that women's soccer players consider important leadership qualities in their coaches to be consistent with important leadership qualities in both transformative leaders, where commitment and pep talk are basic qualities, and situational leaders, where adaptability is vital. Furthermore, the results show that women's soccer players think that a successful pedagogical approach in a coach is to give constructive criticism and feedback as well as to have a good game idea, match-like training and structure. In the result, it can be indicated that pushing, pep talking, paying attention and motivating were factors that increased motivation, these factors are more common in transformative leadership than in situational leadership.

Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar a trajetória de Aline Pellegrino, em três alicerces de construção deste trabalho, a sua trajetória como atleta de futebol, treinadora e diretora de projeto social. Esta pesquisa está fundamentada na perspectiva teórico-metodológica da História Oral e história de vida, a obtenção de informações foi realizada através de entrevistas com Aline, bem como de consulta ao seu acervo pessoal, como fotografias, reportagens, diários, dentre outros materiais. Foram realizadas quatro entrevistas com Aline Pellegrino e também a catalogação do material disponibilizado por ela. A análise das entrevistas e do material em questão foi organizada considerando os objetivos desta pesquisa e o referencial teórico, surgindo, assim, três eixos temáticos para a elaboração das análises. O primeiro discute a inserção de Aline na modalidade e como consolidou-se a sua trajetória como atleta, o segundo centra-se no que diz respeito à sua atuação como treinadora de uma equipe de futebol de mulheres. O terceiro contempla a sua experiência como diretora de projeto social e a sua atuação em diversas frentes de empoderamento de mulheres por meio do futebol. Ao analisar a trajetória de Aline Pellegrino, percebeu-se como ocorreu o processo de formação da atleta na década de 90, o seu início no futebol de alto rendimento demonstra a defasagem existente na formação de atletas de futebol de mulheres, que ainda não possui espaços de formação em categorias de base. Outra problemática vislumbrada através de sua trajetória é a inserção das mulheres em cargos de comando técnico em equipes de futebol e as dificuldades em manterem-se no cargo. A invisibilidade vivida pelas mulheres no futebol também pode ser evidenciada no meio acadêmico, em vinte e cinco anos de pesquisas nas revistas mais conceituadas da área da Educação Física, apenas vinte e oito artigos versavam sobre a prática do futebol de mulheres pela ótica das ciências humanas, enquanto que os trabalhos sobre a história de vida de mulheres atletas de futebol foi encontrada apenas uma publicação. Na mídia esportiva, algumas jogadoras retratam a importância de lutas de movimentos sociais, tal como Aline vem fazendo ao apropriar-se de um movimento coletivo como é o Guerreiras Project, atuando, desse modo, na busca por igualdade de gênero não só no futebol, mas em todos os âmbitos da sociedade. / The main goal of this dissertation is to analyze the life trajectory of Aline Pellegrino with three ground work, her trajectory as a football (soccer) player, as a coach, and as a director of a social project. In a research of a timeframe of twenty five years in the most respected Physical Education journals, only eight articles discoursed about the practice of soccer among women through a humanity perspective, while only one research about women soccer players‟ life was found. In the sports media some female athletes‟ portrait the importance of fighting in the social movements like Aline is doing when taking part of a collective movement such as Guerreiras Project, this way, looking for gender equality not only in soccer but in all aspects of society.

Com base na etnografia realizada entre 2011 e 2013 – incluindo observação participante, entrevistas, registro fotográfico e enquete – esta tese analisa o significado do futebol de mulheres em Porto Alegre (RS, Brasil) e Amherst (MA, Estados Unidos). Ao invés de utilizar o termo futebol feminino, corrente tanto no espaço esportivo quanto acadêmico, proponho o conceito de futebol de mulheres, objetivando, com isso, a desindexação do pensamento normativo de gênero, refém do binômio “masculino/feminino”. O futebol de mulheres, no Brasil, é um espaço marcado pela expressão de múltiplas perspectivas de gênero, além de se caracterizar por performances corporais improvisadas e criativas, revelando-se um espaço de disputas, mas também de convivialidade, como outros espaços sociais quaisquer. Trata-se, portanto, de afirmar este espaço de relações multifacetadas, deixando de lado o discurso das ausências, da precariedade e da invisibilidade, a partir dos quais este futebol tem sido caracterizado. Em Porto Alegre, podem-se destacar as marcações sociais e econômicas que influenciam na dinâmica dos grupos, enquanto, nos Estados Unidos, acentuam-se as marcações etárias. Com a proposta de ampliar mais do que esgotar as reflexões sobre o tema, reflito sobre a heterogeneidade dos agentes sociais que compõem o mundo futebolístico de mulheres de Porto Alegre e de Amherst, tais como jogadoras, comissões técnicas, organizadores, arbitragem, público e mídia. A tese, no seu conjunto, busca tensionar a necessidade de associação do futebol de mulheres à estrutura futebolística instituída pela lógica do espetáculo midiático e mercadológico, como se esta fosse a única possibilidade de reconhecimento, afirmação de identidades e sociabilidade. / Based on ethnographic practices carried out between 2011 and 2013 - including interviews, photographic documentation and polls - this thesis analyzes the meaning of women's soccer in Porto Alegre (RS, Brazil) and Amherst (MA, United States). Instead of using the term “feminine soccer” commonly used both in sports and academic spaces, I propose the concept of “women's soccer”, aiming thereby to disassociate it from normative gender thinking, still hostage to the binomial “masculine/feminine”. Brazilian women's soccer is a space marked by the expression of multiple perspectives of gender. It is characterized by improvised and creative body performances, revealing itself as a space of disputes, but also conviviality, similar to other social spaces. It's, therefore, necessary to state this space as one of multifaceted relations, leaving aside the “discourse of absence”, precariousness and invisibility from which this space has been characterized. In Porto Alegre, one can highlight the social and economical markers that influence the dynamics of groups, while in United States one can highlight age markings. With the proposal to extend more than exhaust the reflections on the subject, I think on the heterogeneity of social actors that make up the world of “women's soccer” in Porto Alegre and Amherst, such as: players, technical commissions, organizers, referees, public and media. The thesis, as a whole, reflects on the need to associate “women's soccer” to the soccer structure established by the logic of media and marketing spectacles as if this were the only possibility of recognition, affirmation of identities and sociability.

Além desse objetivo, buscou-se compreender como se dá o processo de inserção e permanência dessas mulheres nas comissões técnicas; identificar os desafios na construção de suas carreiras e; conhecer seus anseios acerca das perspectivas de ascensão na carreira como treinadora. Esta pesquisa possui natureza qualitativa e caráter descritivo. Como metodologia, foram utilizados os referenciais e pressupostos da História Oral Temática. A técnica de coleta de dados utilizada foi a entrevista semiestruturada, realizada com um grupo de nove treinadoras que atuaram no Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino Caixa (Brasileirão) e Copa do Brasil no ano de 2016. A pesquisa se desenvolveu de maneira online e por telefone, durante dez meses, no período de março de 2017 a janeiro de 2018. A partir dos dados coletados, percebemos que as trajetórias das treinadoras do futebol de mulheres no Brasil são marcadas pela transposição de barreiras e superação de desafios, desde o período em que ocupavam a posição de desportistas até chegarem ao cargo de treinadoras. O processo de inserção e permanência das treinadoras nas comissões está relacionado ao alto grau de capacitação que apresentam, bem como ao bom desempenho enquanto atletas e profissionais da Educação Física. As treinadoras acreditam em possibilidades de ascensão em meio às novas regras impostas pelos órgãos responsáveis pelo futebol do Brasil e da América, e em função de conquistas recentes de suas semelhantes. Entretanto, elas ainda observam muitas barreiras para permanecerem e ascenderem na profissão, além de considerarem que a carreira ainda é incipiente e apresenta condições aquém daquelas oferecidas aos homens. As trajetórias das treinadoras traduzem a eminente resistência oferecida pelas mulheres em espaços tradicionalmente reservados aos homens e apontam para a eficácia das estratégias de subversão utilizadas, as quais abalam as relações de poder estabelecidas nesse campo e questionam os discursos de interdição instituídos na sociedade. / This research sought to reflect on how the trajectories and experiences of women who occupied the position of soccer coaches, the style traditionally aimed at men in our society. In addition to this objective, it was sought to understand how the process of insertion and permanence of these women in the technical commissions takes place; identify challenges in building their careers and; know their longings about career prospects as a coach. This qualitative research is characterized as a descriptive study, which had as its methodology the references and presuppositions of Oral Thematic History. The collection technique used was the semistructured interview conducted with a group of nine coaches who participated in the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino Caixa (Brasileirão) and Copa do Brasil in the year 2017. The research was developed online and by telephone, during ten months, from March 2017 to January 2018. The trajectories of the soccer managers of Brazil are marked by the transposition of barriers and overcome of challenges from the occupation stage to the load of coaches. The process of insertion and permanence of the trainers in the commissions is related to the high degree of qualification that they present as well as to the good performance as athletes and professionals of the Physical Education. The coaches believe in possibilities of ascension in the midst of the new rules imposed by the bodies responsible for soccer in Brazil and America, as well as in the light of recent achievements of their peers, but they still see many barriers to remain and ascend in the profession, the career as still incipient and in conditions inferior to those offered to men. The trajectories of the trainers reflect the eminent resistance offered by women in spaces traditionally reserved for men and point to the effectiveness of the strategies of subversion used, which undermine the power relations established in this field and call into question the discourses of interdiction instituted in society.

Title: Postural stability of elite sportswomen - cross-sectional study Objectives: The aim of this work is to describe and evaluate postural stability in elite women's categories of selected sports specializations. a partial goal is to find out and compare selected parameters of static postural stability of football and volleyball players, both from the perspective of different age categories and from the point of view of the given sports specialization. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study involving a total of 278 female athletes (67 volleyball players, 211 football players) aged 14 and over. Footscan Balance desk (RSscan International, Belgium) was used to measure static postural stability. Tests were used: narrow stand open eyes, narrow stand closed eyes, stand on right lower limb, stand on left lower limb. The results of individual tests were statistically processed and compared. Statistical evaluation was performed using two way ANOVA test, type III and post-hoc Scheffe test. Statistical significance was determined to be p ≤ 0.05. Results: The results of the study showed that footballers have a better level of postural stability compared to volleyball players, and a significant difference was found in all four tests (p < 0.05). Extensive research into women's collegiate soccer is scarce, leaving gaps in the literature with little information available detailing the physical demands at different standards of play. Our purpose was to elucidate the physical demands of the Division I collegiate level and identify differences between playing positions. Twenty-three field players were observed during four competitive seasons using 10-Hz GPS units (Catapult Sports, Melbourne, Australia). Descriptive statistics and 95% confidence intervals were used to determine group and position-specific physical demands. Linear mixed modelling (LMM) was used to compare attacker, midfielder, and defender position groups. Total distance, high-speed distance, and sprint distance were 9486 ± 300 m, 1014 ± 118 m, and 428 ± 70 m, respectively. Furthermore, attackers were observed to cover the greatest distance at all speeds compared to midfielders and defenders. Our findings suggest that the physical demands of Division I women's soccer differ by position and appear lower compared to higher standards of play. Therefore, coaches and sports scientists responsible for the physical training of Division I collegiate players should consider the specific physical demands of the collegiate level and playing position when prescribing training, as well as in the development of their annual training programs.
