El presente artículo analiza desde una perspectiva de la filosofía política, el pensamiento de Joseph Ratzinger en dos de sus problemas en los que más ha abundado a lo largo de su producción intelectual: el fundamentalismo religioso y el laicisimo político. Para hacerlo, acomete una profundización de lo que llama «ensanchamiento de la razón» para de esta manera dialogar con la filosofía política moderna, sin que se renuncie a los principios que defiende, lo que ha constituido en una manera muy aguda de acercar la geopolítica vaticana a los diferentes estados del mundo, y de influir en sus actores políticos más representativos / This article analyzes from the perspective of political philosophy , the thought of Joseph Ratzinger in two of its most problems has abounded throughout his intellectual production: religious fundamentalism and political laicisimo . La historia que se contará en las páginas que siguen tiene como protagonista a un circuito mercantil relegado por la historiografía: el tráfico entre México y el Perú durante el siglo XVI. Si bien se ha producido una vasta bibliografía sobre la importancia de los mercaderes en la edificación del imperio español, el grueso de autores se ha enfocado en el comercio transatlántico y en todo el conjunto de agentes que se movilizaron en aquella gigantesca maquinaria económica. Esta dissertação investiga fragmentos de quatro livros escritos a partir do momento em que o Brasil foi encontrado por colonizadores e propõe uma reflexão da narrativa quinhentista produzida sobre o país por portugueses e franceses como literatura de viagem, analisando a questão do olhar do narrador viajante pela tentativa intencional de representação do que foi \"achado\". Essa abordagem permite repensar os diferentes perfis narrativos e rediscutir a questão textual que extrapola o campo da informação sobre a terra e alcança a fronteira da representação ficcional. / This dissertation looks into excerpts of four colonial journals written after Brazil has been encountered and proposes a reflection on the narratives produced by Portuguese and French voyagers, by analyzing the topic of the narrator\'s own words while intentionally aiming to represent the country itself from the XVI century on. This investigation proposes to rethink the different profiles and sights of the narrators and texts which can not merely be understood as documents of information about the new land, however a means of reaching the border of the fictional representation in the field of literature of travel.

O objetivo principal desta tese foi editar a segunda e a terceira partes da Crônica de Dom Duardos, escrita por Dom Gonçalo Coutinho no final do século XVI ou início do XVII, completando o trabalho iniciado por Raúl Cesar Gouveia Fernandes, que, em sua tese defendida em 2006, editara a primeira parte desse livro de cavalarias inédito. Dividimos o trabalho em três volumes: o primeiro contém a apresentação da obra, do autor e da edição; o segundo e terceiro volumes trazem, respectivamente, a segunda e terceira partes da Crônica de Dom Duardos. / The main objective of this thesis was to edit the second and third parts of the Crônica de Dom Duardos, written by Don Gonçalo Coutinho in the late sixteenth or early seventeenth centuries, completing the work begun by Raúl Cesar Gouveia Fernandes, who, in his thesis defended in 2006, edited the first part of this unpublished book of chivalry. We divided the work into three volumes: the first contains the presentation of the work, the author and edition, the second and third volumes bring, respectively, the second and third parts of the Crônica de Dom Duardos.

A tese em apreço tem como objetivos específicos realizar a edição e o estudo filológico do Primeiro livro das Reconciliações e Confissões (LRC), elaborado por ocasião da primeira visitação do Tribunal do Santo Ofício ao Brasil, na capitania da Baía de Todos os Santos (1591-1592). A pesquisa parte de uma perspectiva filológica, por meio da qual procura identificar e definir as principais coordenadas sincrônicas e diacrônicas, linguísticas e situacionais1 que condicionaram a produção do LRC. Procedeu-se à contextualização histórica dos fatores que influenciaram a primeira visitação. Identificou-se e descreveu-se o rol de crimes que constam no LRC. Fez-se a análise da escrita do códice, assim como da estrutura formal das confissões. A edição semidiplomática apresenta 173 fólios e é de interesse para historiadores e linguístas, haja vista a escassez de estudos sobre documentação manuscrita no século XVI, sob a luz do rigor filológico. A terminologia utilizada no LRC permitiu esboçar um estudo léxico-semântico dividido em três macrocampos, segundo alguns dos crimes em análise: o judaísmo, a sodomia e a blasfêmia. A elaboração de 121 fichas catalográficas permitiu apresentar as principais informações sobre cada confissão. A descrição paleográfica, diplomática e codicológica obtevida descrever o códice, sob o viés das ciências afins à Filologia. Esta tese propõe, portanto, uma abordagem multidisciplinar do corpus, perspectiva que se entende como característica fundamental do trabalho filológico. / This thesis has as its specific objectives to perform the edition and philological study of the Primeiro livro das Reconciliações e Confissões (LRC), elaborated during the first visit of the Holy Office Court to Brazil in the captaincy of the Baía de Todos os Santos (1591-1592). The research starts from a philological perspective, through which seeks to identify and define the main synchronic and diachronic, linguistic and situational coordinates which conditioned the production of LRC. The work proceeded to the historical context of the factors that influenced the first visitation. It identified and described the list of crimes contained in the LRC. The analysis of the writing of the codex was made, as well as for the formal structure of the confessions. The semi-diplomatic edition features 173 folios and it is of interest to historians and linguists, given the lack of studies on manuscript documentation in the sixteenth century, in the light of philological rigor. Through the terminology used in the LRC it was possible to sketch a lexical-semantic study divided into three macro-fields, according to some of the crimes in question: judaism, sodomy and blasphemy. The preparation of 121 catalog records allowed to present the main information about each confession. The paleographic, diplomatic and codicological description obtained describe the codex, under the bias of the sciences related to Philology. This thesis therefore proposes a multidisciplinary approach of the corpus. And this perspective is understood as a fundamental feature of philological work.

Enfatizar a educação no encontro cultural entre jesuítas e nativos na América portuguesa do século XVI é o objetivo final da presente pesquisa. Nesse sentido, e tendo em vista a alteridade cultural dos sujeitos, dedica-se grande parte da dissertação no trato de ressaltar os aspectos culturais próprios da Companhia de Jesus, e suas dimensões educacionais, e trabalhar as representações da cultura indígena pelos registros dos religiosos da época. Toma-se como fonte uma quantidade considerável de documentos primários, sobretudo as cartas jesuítas, e uma ampla produção historiográfica sobre o período. Da História Cultural francesa são os referenciais teóricos (Michel de Certeau e Roger Chartier); e, em diálogo com as demais áreas vizinhas de produção de conhecimento histórico, o trabalho pretende colher da antropologia, filosofia, linguística, literatura, psicologia elementos que preencham lacunas interpretativas. De um lado, as adaptações do modus procedendi inaciano em meio às dificuldades nas terras além-mar. Por outro lado, a resistência dos costumes dos índios ante a vinda da Europa católica quinhentista. Em estratégias e artifícios, a educação faz presença nas investidas missionarias, no intuito de regenerar o degenerado, converter ao cristianismo, salvar e ajudar as almas, impor a moral cristã e expandir os domínios do reino e do Reino. / Emphasizing education in the cultural encounter between Jesuits and natives in Portuguese America in the sixteenth century is the ultimate goal of this research. Taking into account the cultural alterity of the subjects, a great part of the dissertation is dedicated in highlighting the inherent cultural aspects of the Society of Jesus and its educational dimensions, and discussing the representations of indigenous culture through the religious records of that time. A considerable amount of primary documents, especially the Jesuit letters, and a large historiographic production on the period are taken as sources. The theoretical references are from the French Cultural History (Michel de Certeau and Roger Chartier); and in dialogue with the other neighboring areas of historical knowledge production, this work aims to gather elements from anthropology, linguistics, literature, philosophy, and psychology that fill interpretative gaps. On the one hand, the adaptations of the Ignatian modus procedendi amid the difficulties in the lands overseas. On the other hand, the resistance of the indigenous customs in confrontation with the arrival of Catholic Europeans of the sixteenth century. Among strategies and artifices, education is present in the missionary approaches, in order to regenerate the degenerate, convert to Christianity, save and help souls, impose Christian morality and expand the realms of the kingdom and the Kingdom. / Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Pós-Graduação - PIB-PÓS

The purpose of this research was to describe the content of information surrounding a significant sporting event presented by sportswriters through the printed medium. The event chosen for analysis was Superbowl XVI. Three metropolitan newspapers were selected as the sample representatives of the urban style of sports reporting. Two of these newspapers were chosen because of their geographical representation of a participating team. The third selection was taken because of its large circulation and relative unbiased reporting. From a pilot study conducted on Superbowl XV, content categories were found to fit in either one of two basic domains: cognitive or affective. The sample population for Superbowl XVI yielded 5,759 individual category entries based on 215 articles. The cognitive category comprised 94 percent of all items categorized, thus clearly demonstrating the dominant theme used by sportswriters for this event.

El tema de investigación es sobre los mecanismos de control social e ideológico de la Iglesia Católica y del Estado Colonial en torno a las parroquias de indígenas a través del adoctrinamiento, las visitas eclesiásticas, y la extirpación de las idolatrías. Y además estudio la relación interna de los doctrineros con la población indígena, la participación de los sacerdotes en la economía durante los siglos XVI y XVII. Este estudio analiza una zona específica de la sierra de Lima, correspondiente a la antigua doctrina de Nuestra Señora de La Limpia Concepción de Canta en el Arzobispado limeño. / Tesis
