The present dissertation presents the concepts students with mental deficiencies are able to build when acquiring the written code, and discusses a version of these students´ learning possibilities. Their written productions and interpretations (spelling of names and words, writing of full statements and texts) emerge as a result of a classroom dynamic work coordenated by the present researcher. The study finds out nine students as readers-and-writers-in-process – able of producing varied and private reflections in interaction with the target object. The effective intervention of the teacher and the whole school context, as interpreters and communicators of this culturally-organized-knowledge, became crucial factors to offer students a series of meagninful experiences of life along to the reading and writing tasks, so the students behaved like questioning themselves and had the wish to acquire the written code. It was possible to observe a growing network of concepts (not in a linear basis), which floated among different levels of nominalization. The theoretical choice, making it clear what we should consider or should not consider as an “error”, “imaturity” or a “deficiency”. It also was decisive to best visualize the literacy process in a different approach from the ones used by convencional learning and development practices, as Emilia Ferreiro, Ana Teberosky and David Olson have pointed out. It made possible to recognize the inventive subject according to the piagetian theory. The understanding that underlines this work sets new possibilities of living new ways of being, which differ from the mental deficient standard. We talk about a student that is also able to become lectured, and that despite acquiring or not the official writen code, is a person who is able to sign his/her name and his/her productions.

Neoproterozoic volcanic and subvolcanic rhyolitic systems in southernmost Brazil are correlated with acid magmatism linked to different petrotectonic associations of the Sul-Rio-Grandense Shield. A portion of this volcanism in the Dom Feliciano Belt is associated with the Pelotas Batholith, which resulted from magmatic episodes associated with the Ediacaran post-collisional evolution of southern Brazil. Ana Dias Rhyolite is the main subvolcanic occurrence of this volcanism that took place in the Quitéria region, in the central part of Rio Grande do Sul State. The acid magmatism has been commonly associated with the most differentiated granite suite phases during the final stages of emplacement of the Pelotas Batholith. The Ana Dias Rhyolite is characterized as an intrusive body with rocks that present a porphyritic to seriated texture and a gradational variation to fine-grained equigranular rocks. New zircon U-Pb dating indicates crystallization age of 581.9 ± 1.9 Ma for the Ana Dias Rhyolite. Geochemistry data characterize the rhyolites as belonging to the alkaline series; they present a metaluminous to peraluminous character; elevated SiO2 and alkali concentrations, high FeOt/FeOt+MgO ratios and agpaitic index; and low Al2O3, CaO, and MgO contents. The Zr, Rb, Y, Nb, and Ga concentrations are moderate when compared with the relatively low Ba and Sr contents. These geochemistry characteristics are common in acid magmas with alkaline affinity. The behavior of certain trace elements and REE demonstrate enrichment in more incompatible elements, in addition to the negative anomaly of Ba, the slight enrichment in Ce relative to adjacent elements, as well as the enrichment in K2O and Rb relative to Nb, suggesting magmas derived from mantle sources enriched in incompatible elements with some crustal contamination. The chemical characteristics are similar to those of A-type granites associated with Neoproterozoic post-collision magmatism in the Sul-Rio-Grandense Shield.

Previous issue date: 2016-03-18 / Theatricality, Montage and Performance in the Art of Ana Maria Pacheco scrutinizes the visual
work of the plastic artist as a main visual body analysis on the series of ten paintings entitled In Illo
Tempore I-X (1994), elaborated in the 90 ́s. The approach of this work is that the art of Ana Maria
Pacheco (1943) is an intervallic montage of multiple temporalities, and under this perspective, we
are headed to assume that the artist reinterprets the cultural-historical universe of her environment
of origin and formation relating it dynamically and diversely in her visual work. It also investigates
the theatricality inherent in the artist ́s visual work, elaborated through the intervallic and
anachronistic montage of the culture, from which a potential performance on images derives to the
reception of viewers eyes. The methodology used in this work is a combination of bibliographical
research and image analysis starting from the process “constellation and work table” (Didi-
Huberman, 2013), which consists in entangling a collection of affinities and relationship between
the images themselves. The main concepts approached in this work are the notions of “montage”
(Didi-Huberman, 2013), “theatricality” (Féral, 2011), “geopoetics” (Lowenthal, 1982) and
“performance and reception” (Zumthor, 2007).
recepção do olhar do espectador.

Ana: ousadia que mudou o seu destino / Ana: daring that changed their destinyEunice Angelo de Morais 12 March 2007 (has links)
Analyses of two first chapters that integrate the 1 Samuel book of Hebrew Bible, with emphasis in historical, liguistics and literary aspects. In these chapters we find the history of Hannah, a woman that suffered very much because she hasn\'t childrens and because the other wife of her husband has got them. The Hannah\'s sterility changed after she prays to God, and promisses to give the son that wasborn to the religious service. A comparision with others Hebrew Bibles characters is done to demonstrate which actitudes of Hannah make of her one of the most notable females characters of Ancient Israel. At the end we notice too how the poetry inserted into this narrative has influenced the christian literature.

Solubility and Stability of Scorodite and Adsorbed and Coprecipitated Arsenical 6-line Ferrihydrite in the Presence of Shewanella putrefaciens CN32 and Shewanella sp. ANA-3Revesz, Erika January 2015 (has links)
Mining and mineral processing generate a wide range of As-rich minerals, including scorodite (FeAsO4•2H2O), and arsenical ferrihydrite, which are common secondary minerals found in mine tailings. Scorodite and arsenical ferrihydrite are relatively stable under a wide range of physico-chemical conditions which makes them suitable arsenic sinks in mining environments. However, bacteria can reduce these minerals and release arsenic into the aqueous environment. Two dissimilatory iron and arsenic reducing bacteria, Shewanella sp. ANA-3 and Shewanella putrefaciens CN32, were used to investigate their effects on the reductive dissolution of scorodite and arsenical 6-line ferrihydrite in a chemically defined medium containing low phosphate concentrations representative of the natural environment. Analysis of the aqueous phase of all biotic reduced samples found mainly As(III), the more toxic form of As, while very little As(V) was reduced in the abiotic samples. Solid state analysis of the scorodite biotic post-reduction minerals identified scorodite, biogenic Fe(II)-As(III) compounds, parasymplesite and tooeleite, while in the biotic reduced arsenical six-line ferrihydrite, biogenic Fe(II)-As(III) compounds, hematite, akaganeite and unconfirmed magnetite were identified as secondary reduction products. Results from this research add to the body of literature on As and Fe biogeochemistry and provide very useful information for future assessments of the long term stability of As-rich minerals.

Role of Tyrosine-Related Kinase B Inhibition in the Mesocorticolimbic Stress and Reward Circuitries of the Adolescent and Adult Brain Following a Heterotypic Stress RegimenAzogu, Idu January 2017 (has links)
The mesocorticolimbic system is involved in fundamental processes that drive motivational behaviors essential for survival (feeding, reproduction and sexual behavior, etc.), as well as neurochemical activity involved in mood regulation. Stressful life events are an important cause of dysregulated psychological functioning, which in some leads to a pathophysiology of mood disorders. A source of such disorder could be, among other underlying factors, an impairment of synaptic plasticity induced by alterations in the levels of neurotrophins and/or aberrant glucocorticoid responses. The role of the brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and its high affinity receptor tyrosine-related kinase B (TrkB) in the mesocorticolimbic reward circuitry has been largely studied in adulthood, yet a possible role of this system in mediating memory and emotional responses induced by stress during the juvenile, adolescence period has not been elucidated. The proposed set of thesis studies are designed to investigate the roles of BDNF and TrkB signaling, via the selective and non-competitive TrkB antagonist, ANA-12 (N-[2-[[(Hexahydro-2-oxo-1H-azepin-3-yl)amino]carbonyl]phenyl] benzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxamide), in the expression of stress-induced changes in the brain stress circuitry (including the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, and hippocampus) and reward signaling systems of the brain (including the nucleus accumbens (NAc) and ventral tegmental area (VTA)). In addition, experiments aim to determine behavioral changes following stress exposure in male and female Wistar rats. Finally, the possible interplay between BDNF, dopamine, glutamate and orexins in response to repeated stress is examined. Articles 1 and 2, aimed to assess the biochemical and behavioral effects of direct ANA-12 infusion (0.25 µg/ 0.5µl) into the nucleus accumbens shell during exposure to a 10-day heterotypic stress paradigm in male rats. Specifically, Article 1 demonstrated a key role for BDNF/TrkB signaling to regulate stress-induced effects. Notably, the impact of ANA-12 to attenuate anxiety-like behavior in repeatedly stressed rats while increasing anxiety behavior in non-stress rats suggest an interesting behavioral and neurochemical state-dependent process induced by TrkB receptor signaling. Article 2 supports the key role for BDNF secretion in basal and stress-induced behaviors in rats suggesting an influence of TrkB in sociability, motivation and passive avoidance. Furthermore, this role of TrkB extended to increased expression of orexin A in the Perifornical area (PfA) and a decrease in the ventral CA1 of the hippocampus, and in stress-induced elevations in orexinergic projections to the VTA, of which reductions were observed in non-stress groups treated with ANA-12. Article 3 demonstrated gender-specific behavioral and biochemical responses in different developmental periods and the impact of TrkB activation, dependent on stress exposure, to affect the regulation of TrkB receptor isoforms (full length and truncated TrkB, TrkB.FL and TrkB.T1, respectively) in adulthood. Results revealed increased CORT responses in adolescent females relative to males and attenuated CORT secretions in both genders by TrkB inhibition. Elevated activity levels in young adult
females and increased passive coping behavior in the forced swim in stress-naïve females were also noted, in addition to novel observations on brain region and sex differences in TrkB receptor isoforms. Taken together, thesis findings derived from applications of ANA-12, shall foster knowledge on the contribution of BDNF in regulation of mood upon stress exposure at times when the brain is undergoing important maturation and remodelling, as well as on the relationship of stress exposure during adolescence and lasting brain and behavioral disorders in adulthood.
