From this perspective, the objective of this study is to verify, in the criminal defense, how the defense lawyer’s discourse is influenced by the social auditorium. Thus, to support the research, they were used the theoretical-methodological bases of Dialogical Theory of Language (DTL) established by Bakhtin’s Circle, Voloshinov ([1976]); Voloshinov ([2005]); Bakhtin/Volochínov (2009); Bakhtin (2010a, 2010b, 2010c, 2011, 2012). To explain and interpret the facts they were used the principles of the qualitative-interpretative research. The corpus is consisted of one (01) criminal defense that happened in Court of Guarabira-PB town. The choice of the criminal defense was carried out due to the possibilities of evaluative intonations that were found in the lawyer’s defensive discourse. In the sample they could be stablished seven (07) categories of evaluative intonations. The analyses have evidenced that, from the evaluative intonations, the lawyer uses some discursive strategies established by a language style characterized of subjective constitution. / Esta pesquisa reflete a maneira como a advogada de defesa, no Tribunal do Júri, avalia o seu auditório social e como essa avaliação estabelece o estilo de linguagem usado para criar uma consciência de adesão no corpo de jurados. Sob este ângulo, o objetivo da pesquisa investiga, na defesa criminal, como o discurso da advogada é influenciado pelo auditório social. Assim, para dar sustentação teórica à pesquisa, foram abordados os pressupostos teóricometodológicos da Teoria Dialógica da Linguagem (TDL), principalmente os que foram preconizados pelo Círculo bakhtiniano, Voloshinov ([1976]); Voloshinov ([2005]); Bakhtin/Volochínov (2009); Bakhtin (2010a, 2010b, 2010c, 2011, 2012). Para explicar e interpretar os fatos/dados, foram usados os princípios da pesquisa qualitativa interpretativista. O corpus consta de uma (01) defesa criminal que aconteceu no Tribunal do Júri da Comarca de Guarabira – PB. A escolha dessa defesa criminal deu-se devido às possibilidades de ocorrência das entoações avaliativas encontradas na forma de dizer da advogada em direção ao seu auditório social. Na amostra foram constatadas sete (07) categorias de entoações avaliativas. As análises têm evidenciado que, a partir dessas entoações avaliativas, a advogada usa algumas estratégias discursivas estabelecidas por um estilo de linguagem característico da constituição de subjetividade.

The main idea in dealing with my thesis was to design a high quality public space where people will feel comfortable, safely and have a reason to come back. Furthermore, this is the place to be full of life and will serve the general public. The cultural center, that was designed, to become part of Královo Pole cultural campus, so-called K2-center, which will create a basis for free time activities, relaxation and education. A significant part of the proposed building is made up of multi-functional hall, library, restaurant, teen center and spaces for leisure time activities. On the ground floor will be located business parter and coffee bar. The aim of my project was to take into account what is most needed for inhabitants of Královo Pole for the purpose to meet the demands for quality leisure time for the widest spectrum of people. There is an effort to place the object itself as the most sensitive, given the current surrounding areas. The aim was not to design a huge object but especially a pleasant environment functioning as a center of leisure time activities.

Uppsatsen är en retoriskt studie av T.S. Eliots begrepp objektiva korrelat; ett litterärt begrepp som, enligt Eliot, var det konstfulla sättet att framställa känslor på. Känslan skulle framställas i dikt genom att en objektiv framställning, Detta innebar att känslan skulle ha en konkret motsvarighet i dikten, exempelvis skulle den inkapslas i ett objektiv, en situation eller händelsekedja. Detta skulle i sin tur omedelbart väcka känslan hos läsaren. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka och visa att det objektiva korrelatet förutsätter en retorisk kommunikationsmodell. Detta görs mot bakgrunden till att det fanns en modernistisk uppfattning om retoriken som skadligt, något som litteraturen skulle befrias ifrån. För att uppfylla syftet undersöks text-, författare-, och läsarfunktionen, vilka kan förstås som viktiga delar i en kommunikationsmodell.   Studien visar att begreppet delar flera likheter med och förstås utifrån flera retoriska teorier, exempelvis Chaïm Perelmans auditoriebegrepp, Mats Rosengrens definition av doxa och Wayne C. Booths begrepp telling och showing. Det objektiva korrelatet kan förstås som en poetisk argumentation som ämnar påverka läsarna, men vars funktion också är avhängig publiken då författaren måste förhålla sig till de kollektiva referenspunkter som publiken håller gemensamt. Studien visar att de kommunikationsparameterar som undersöks är av retorisk karaktär och såldes förutsätter begreppet en retorisk kommunikationsmodell.

Sandviken’s House of the People, An oasis in the waters of Mälaren

I have during my thesis explored how the countryside of Stockholm can be made more accessible and how a building can be inviting in a community resisting change. The new intervention is to be seen as a resource for the community but also as an attraction for tourism. I have combined distance work with logistics and recreation in the form of bathing and sauna to strengthen the existing qualities of the countryside. A ferry line would solve problems that exist in Sandviken, such as waste of resources when it comes to the amount of cars per household and time spent in cars on the way to work/school. A ferry would present an alternative commute where you would be offered beautiful scenery on Mälaren where you can work and socialize on your way to work. To motivate a ferry line it would also be combined with logistics in the form of products such as groceries and other online shopping. It would also make Sandviken accessible for exports if a production company would like to station in the nearby surroundings.

Athens of the South: College Life in Nashville, A New South City, 1897-1917

The Progressive Era affected the South in different ways from other regions of the United States. Because Southern society was more entrenched in patriarchy and traditional social strictures, Nashville provides an excellent lens in which to assess the vision of a New South city. Known as “Athens of the South,” Nashville legitimized this title with the emergence of several colleges and universities of regional and national prominence in the 1880s and 1890s. In the first two decades of the twentieth century, Nashville’s universities solidified their status as reputable institutions, with Vanderbilt and Fisk Universities garnering national prominence. Within Nashville, local colleges, including Ward Belmont College, David Lipscomb University, Peabody College, Roger Williams University, and Meharry Medical College shaped and were shaped by the growing city. Higher education and urbanization created a dialectic that produced a new generation and a new monied class of young adults who thought and acted differently from their parents. Moreover, women became more active participants in public spheres because of opportunities provided by higher education. In most cases, Nashville’s women continued to use their husband’s prominence to earn greater success. In regard to race, the city’s African American colleges helped to produce men and women who formed the backbone of the rising black middle class and elite in the South. Nashville endured great change, formally beginning with the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition, whereby the city’s trajectory followed a more modern approach, albeit southern style. Higher education played a large role in the direction of the city, both literally and figuratively. Shifts in attitude toward race, gender, and leisure combined to create a new youth culture. Young women and men socialized on and off campus through a variety of new forms of recreation. The experience of “college life” was more than attending classes but rather a fluid phase beginning with youthfulness and ending with adulthood. Social interaction increasingly became a major component of college life; the city of Nashville simply provided the stage. By U.S. entrance into World War I, Nashville had legitimized its position as a Southern urban center of entertainment and higher education.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present investigation aims at examining the trajectory of televisual products that do not have, beforehand, estimated completion date, that means, for its time slot exclusion, paying special attention to the course changes realized by them, aiming at staying on air. For this purpose, the show Esquenta!, that between the years 2011, 2012 and early 2013 was broadcast by seasons, but, from May 2013 onwards, became a part of the fixed time slot of Rede Globo television network, was elected as object of study. We move from the hypothesis that many televisual shows, depending on the subgenre to which they belong, in the attempt of staying on air, operate, throughout its existence course, structural transformations and/or adopt new configurations: articulate other contexts, propose new themes, new segments, changing, if necessary, their own identity in search of constructing a more permanent television viewer. The research realized seeks, thus, to answer questions formulated about the trajectory of televisual products, inquiring when, how and why transformations of structural character are operated on a televisual product, changing its function, proposal and trajectory on the slot of a broadcaster. How do such changes affect the identity of the show and the image and brand of a television network? And what relations do such changes have with the social context? So, the main objective of the present research is to verify what strategies could be virtually employed by a televisual product, related to the subgenre auditorium show, for staying on air throughout the years. In order to meeting such broader objective, the following specifiec objectives were established: a) mapping a historic of the emergence of auditorium shows in the Brazilian televisual context; b) setting up the communicative and enunciative context of Esquenta!, from the launch of the show to the current moment, after it became a part of the fixed time slot of the broadcaster, describing its sociocultural and enunciative surroundings, production core and staff responsible for its realization; c) analyzing the intertextual relations of paradigmatic character contracted by Esquenta! with its subgenre auditorium shows; d) presenting a general setting of Esquenta!, examining the show, by seasons and emissions, regarding the adopted formats, segments, preferred themes, form of spatial, temporal and tonal structure, form of actors configuration conductor/animator, fixed participants, eventual guests, audience, etc; e) identifying structural changes by which Esquenta! went through in terms of the interests that guide the action of Rede Globo; f) examining the communicative and discursive strategies employed by the show in the configuration of its identity, image and target audience to meet its course changes and simultaneously adapt to the image and brand of Rede Globo; g) examining the intertextual relations of syntagmatic character contracted by the show with other televisual products it reclaims. Considering the issue raised and the objectives established, a discursive analysis of semiotic inspiration, of different emissions of the show, was realized. / A presente investigação propõe-se a examinar a trajetória de produtos televisuais que não têm, de antemão, data prevista para término, ou seja, para sua exclusão da grade de programação, conferindo especial atenção às alterações de percurso por eles efetuadas com vistas à sua permanência no ar. Com essa finalidade, elegeu-se como objeto de estudo o programa Esquenta!, que, entre os anos de 2011, 2012 e início de 2013, foi exibido por temporadas, mas que, a partir de maio de 2013, passou a fazer parte da grade fixa de programação da Rede Globo de Televisão. Parte-se da hipótese de que muitos programas televisuais, dependendo do subgênero a que pertencem, na tentativa de se manterem no ar, operam, ao longo de seu percurso de existência, transformações estruturais e/ou adotam novas configurações: articulam outros contextos, propõem novas temáticas, novos quadros, alterando, se necessário, sua própria identidade na busca de construir um público telespectador mais permanente. A pesquisa realizada procura, assim, respostas para algumas questões formuladas sobre a trajetória dos produtos televisuais, indagando-se sobre quando, como e por que são operadas transformações de caráter estrutural em um produto televisual, modificando suas funções, proposta e trajetória na programação de uma emissora. De que forma essas alterações incidem sobre a identidade do programa e da própria imagem e marca de uma emissora de televisão? E que relações essas alterações têm com o contexto social? Assim, o objetivo geral da pesquisa é verificar que estratégias poderiam ser virtualmente empregadas por um produto televisual, ligado ao subgênero programa de auditório, para permanecer no ar, ao longo dos anos. Com a finalidade de dar conta desse objetivo mais amplo, estabeleceram-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: a) traçar um histórico do surgimento dos programas de auditório no contexto televisual brasileiro; b) configurar o contexto comunicativo e enunciativo do Esquenta!, quando do lançamento do programa e no momento atual, depois que passou a fazer parte da grade fixa da emissora, descrevendo seu entorno sociocultural e enunciativo, núcleo de produção e equipe responsáveis pela sua realização; c) analisar as relações intertextuais de caráter paradigmático contraídas pelo Esquenta! com o seu subgênero os programas de auditório; d) apresentar uma configuração geral do Esquenta!, examinando o programa, por temporadas e emissões, quanto aos formatos adotados, quadros, temáticas preferenciais, forma de estruturação espacial, temporal, tonal, forma de configuração dos atores condutor/animador, participantes fixos, convidados eventuais, plateia, etc; e) identificar as alterações estruturais pelas quais passou o Esquenta! em função dos interesses que pautam a ação da RGT; f) examinar as estratégias comunicativas e discursivas empregadas pelo programa na configuração de sua identidade, imagem, público-alvo para dar conta de suas alterações de percurso e simultaneamente adequar-se à imagem e marca da RGT; g) examinar as relações intertextuais de caráter sintagmático contraídas pelo programa com outros produtos televisuais que ele recupera. Considerando a problemática levantada e os objetivos estabelecidos, realizou-se uma análise discursiva, de inspiração semiótica, de diferentes emissões do programa.

It has as its corpus twenty compositions by such students. These compositions, collected in UFRN COMPERVE (Permanent Commission of vestibular examinations) and written in 2005 examination, were selected in a random way. The theoretical support is based on Perelman & Olbrechts-Tyteca (1999; 2002), Reboul (2004), Bakhtin (1992), Faraco (2003), Plat?o e Fiorim (2003) e Geraldi (1997), and other scholars. The work aimed to investigate how vestibulandos make use of argumentative techniques in order to construct their arguments in the vestibular examination. In the analysis of the corpus we considered that the used argumentative techniques, the relationship with the thesis, the sense effects students wanted to produce and the type of the required speech. It showed that in the, discourse construction of argumentative texts, students made use, with more frequency, of the following argumentative techniques: pragmatic arguments, arguments of the definition, comparison arguments, division arguments, example arguments, argument of the model and authority arguments as means to support their theses. However it was not carried out in a conventional way, reason why it leads us to believe that schools, as part of human activity, responsible for education and for the insert of learners in the literate world, have a fundamental role concerning the offer of conditions, so that, the teaching of Portuguese Language leads students to a systematic and explicit preparation of the knowledge, regarding the social and functions of the language, as well as of the strategies of the construction of argumentative texts. This can lead learners to develop communicative competence and to feel more confident when working with text production / Nesta disserta??o, analisamos os processos argumentativos do texto escrito de vestibulandos, tendo, como corpus, reda??es do Concurso Vestibular da UFRN (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte). Realizamos a an?lise em vinte reda??es, coletadas na Comiss?o Permanente de Vestibular (COMPERVE) no ano de 2005 e selecionadas de forma aleat?ria, tomando como suporte Perelman & Olbrechts- Tyteca (1999; 2002), Reboul (2004), Bakhtin (1992), Faraco (2003), Plat?o e Fiorim (2003) e Geraldi (1997), entre outros te?ricos. Objetivamos investigar como o vestibulando usa as t?cnicas argumentativas em raz?o da constru??o da argumenta??o na prova do vestibular. The construction includes all the facilities and plants for the Philharmonic commensurate with the contemporary world architecture. It is offering a location opposite the street Veselá.

Sportovní centrum / Sports center

The objective of this thesis is to create the documentation for building construction.Designed building is a sports center, which is used for playing tennis. The project is located in the cadastral Holostřevy, a small village near the town of Plzen. Construction will be visible from the highway D5, which is widely used by German, Austrian and Czech drivers and her attendance and payback will be more effectiv. And the architectural appearance shoud be also contribute. Project documentation has been prepared in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards. The building is functionally, operationally and structurally divided into two parts. The first part is called "zázemí" (background). It is the skeleton construction of reinforced concrete with cross reinforced the plate. Packing construction is only between the base and the ceiling and itsn't supporting. In the "zázemí" there are dressing rooms, sanitary facilities, but also a café. The second part is a "hala" (hall). It only serves to playing tennis. The supporting construction is a lamellar wood trusses and central column in "zázemí" supporting it. It is interesting that on the 2nd floor which serves as a grandstand, are formed two parts, one of which serves as an auditorium for interior court and the other as an auditorium for exterior court.
