Branding strategies is an important theme in business research. The purpose of the study was to explore how the growing industry of craft brewing are using branding strategies in order to strengthen their brand. The study was based on the theory of Kapferer’s brand identity prism and Keller’s Brand Equity model. The method used to gather data was interviews with several breweries spread across Sweden that were then analyzed using thematic data analysis. The findings show that craft brewer are using branding strategies to a large extent, however, not all the elements of the models are included in their strategy. The findings suggest that the reason for this is that the craft brewing industry is unique due to co-opetition and the nation’s strict regulations on marketing of alcohol. Organizations can use these findings to strengthen their brand as well as get a general understanding of how the industry is using branding strategies. This can be beneficial for newly established craft breweries or breweries that desire a stronger brand.

Rosqvist, Erik, Mohammadi, Rebin January 2020 (has links)
The climate question is one of the major questions in society and consumers today expect cooperates to take responsibilities that help the environment. One of the industries that consumers have misbeliefs in when it comes to green marketing and green products is the fast-food industry. Because of the misbeliefs from the consumers, the fast-food chains need to increase their green alternatives and their green marketing. The aim of this study is therefore to study and highlight how green marketing is used by companies in the fast-food industry to position themselves in the market. In addition, we also intend to investigate how and if green marketing affects the consumers’ brand perception and purchasing behavior. To examine this purpose a mix of both qualitative and quantitative methods is used. The qualitative method is analyzing commercials from the fast-food chains and observations in their restaurants to see how they use green marketing. The quantitative method is a web survey with 71 responses to see how the consumer perceived the brand of the fast-food chains. The result showes that the fast-food chains do similar initiatives for the environment, but it differs how consumers perceived their brand as green or not.

Jauregui Euribe, Valeria 30 October 2019 (has links)
Since 2017, the phenomenon of low cost airlines has been growing with the entry of Viva Air into the Peruvian market. This segment of airlines already reaches almost 100 million passengers per year. The popularity of these airlines goes hand in hand with the low price they offer to passengers, since it has been possible to observe a reduction in ticket prices of up to 50%. Consequently, the market share of traditional airlines has declined in recent years. Therefore, there are some that seek to imitate the low cost model, as there are others whose main objective is to focus on the customer segment that values other factors beyond price. The following research work aims to demonstrate the relationship between loyalty strategies and customer loyalty between 35 and 44 years old. For this, qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques were used that after being analyzed give results that allow a future analysis.

Previous research has mainly focused on brand identity, the process of creating loyalty among fans and the effects of sponsorship individually, while this study aims to provide a composite view of these factors. The purpose of the study was therefore to identify factors that have been important for Djurgården Hockey in their work with their brand identity and if it has affected the club’s economic growth. Branding through mobile applications : - A case study of Swedish campaign applications

Vikström, Henrik, Zheng, Caroline January 2013 (has links)
We are a few years into a paradigm shift where mobile Internet usage around the world is increasing fast. Smartphones have in Sweden become the device a substantial proportion of the population have, and companies have seen them as a new way to communicate with consumers. This thesis is a case study of four smartphone applications issued by companies in brand building purposes. The applications are King of the slope by Vattenfall, Körklar? by SalusAnsvar, McWrap Go&Get by McDonalds and Många Sträckor Små by Lantmännen. Empirical materials are gathered through semi-structured interviews with people involved in the creation of each application. Results are then analysed based on what initial goals each issuer had set for the application with the aim of obtain learnings valuable to future application issuers. Findings have shown that the mindset when creating these applications has generally been short-term. This contradicts the nature of a mobile application and its purpose of strengthening a company’s brand, which usually is a long-term process. We advocate a more long-term mindset and a consumer-oriented standpoint instead of product- oriented when creating mobile applications for branding purposes.

How does Swedish Elite Football (SEF) work with its main sponsors Unibet and OBOS based on its brand identity and how is this perceived through brand image?

Sax, David, Torberntsson, Jeff January 2021 (has links)
AbstractKeywords: Brand image, brand identity, sponsorship, betting, football, branding. Purpose: How does Swedish Elite Football (SEF) work with its main sponsors Unibet and OBOS based on its brand identity and how is this perceived through brandimage? Methodology: The study is based on a qualitative approach. With semi-structured interviews and document analysis, we have collected material that has been processed through a thematic analysis. Theory: Theoretical starting points in this study are the concepts of brand image, brand identity and positioning. Results and conclusions: Previous research showed that gambling addiction and a normalization of betting were consequences formed in England since 1992 after a high exposure of gambling companies. This led to unhealthy betting behaviour, especially among adolescents, which may have affected the league's reputation. In our analysis, we investigated SEF's use of a privately owned gaming company as the main sponsor from a brand perspective. Based on SEF's brand identity, the organization will now be associated with Unibet in their exposure and marketing, which also means that their association will fall on SEF. Thus, SEF needs to create a good brand image for the gaming company, which it tries to do through different types of projects. Hemmaklubben and Unicoach are social projects that will develop Swedish football by, for example, training coaches further to develop better own products from the academies. SEF and Unibet have also initiated work against gambling addiction. They explain the project as that the problem is something that affects both organizations and should therefore be solved by the organizations. In this way, they want to inform the public that there are many benefits to the new collaboration, which are factors that strengthen SEF's identity. Based on our review of previous material, we can ́t see any previous studies where private betting companies as the main sponsor of a league social projects have done to counteract unhealthy betting behaviour, which SEF and Unibet do. From this point of view, we believe that the view of SEF's brand is partly dependent on the results the social projects will show. At present, SEF believes that they have received a positive response after turbulent discussions when the collaboration became official. Social projects have calmed the storm and supporters are probably waiting for the consequences of the values the collaboration can have. Thus, brand identity is probably dependent on positive results of the projects to be able to show that the organizations do have a value for Swedish Elite Football. This will then lead to a perception (brand image) about the organization. In further studies, we would like to see further research5on the organization's brand image to see how this has actually been received by supporters of SEF and whether the projects have been successful or not.

Also, the purchase process of these products is categorized as a planned sale, not by impulse. Currently, market analysts focus on creating strategies for the end customer to consider within their planning the purchase of home décor products. This allows you to make a difference in the market, create loyalty and preference for the consumer, since it creates an additional line of communication which allows you to listen to the opinion of the service presented and achieve improvements in it. Finally, for better research of strategies to be used in the post-sales, further research could be carried out, segmenting groups and changing variables such as guarantees, quality of service, etc. / Tesis
