Tendo em vista a amplitude da temática que o corpus literário objeto de estudo deste trabalho possui, demonstrou-se importante a utilização de um referencial teórico que reunisse os apontamentos de estudiosos de diversas áreas do conhecimento, com vistas a abordagem não só da criação ficcional, mas também do retrato da sociedade brasileira em que o romance foi escrito. Portanto, visando embasar teoricamente a investigação proposta, utiliza-se como referencial multidisciplinar a obra de diversos autores dentre os quais, Stuart Hall, Michel Foucault, Sigmund Freud, Jacques Derrida, Florestan Fernandes, Afrânio Coutinho e Alfredo Bosi. Dada a fundamentação teórica proporcionada pelas obras dos referidos teóricos, buscou-se apresentar uma visão panorâmica do romance Clara dos Anjos, identificando aspectos relativos à formação e à recuperação de discursos identitários historicamente excluídos por uma ideologia hegemônica presente no âmbito da sociedade brasileira, associados à cor da pele, posição social e gênero, além de discutir no âmbito da mencionada obra a ocorrência de questões como identidade, deslocamento identitário e preconceito étnico. / This work aims to present to the academic community and to the specialized literary critics a critical reading of the novel Clara dos Anjos, investigating the style adopted by Lima Barreto as a mean of recovering the minority identity discourses or the excluded ones at the Brazilian society context in the early days of the Republic. Taking the great range of the researched subject into consideration, it was essential to use a theoretical framework that would bring different points of view from specialists of various areas of knowledge, in order to approach not only the fictional creation, as well as the Brazilian Society Portrait, which was the background of the novel. Therefore, aiming to support the theory of the research study it will be used as a multidisciplinary reference, the work of several authors like Stuart Hall, Michel Foucault, Sigmund Freud, Jacques Derrida, Florestan Fernandes, Afrânio Coutinho and Alfredo Bosi. From the theoretical framework proposed by the work of these specialists, was presented an overview of Clara dos Anjos novel, identifying aspects related to the creation and recovery of identity discourses which were historically excluded by an ideological hegemony present in Brazilian Society, related to the color of skin, social status and gender. In addition to this, it was discussed the occurrence of issues like identity, identity displacement and ethnic prejudice.

Hur berättar man en historia med sin röst?   De flesta konstarter är berättande, och särskilt tydligt är det för de utövare som använder sig av ord som en del av sitt uttrycksmedel. Denna text är ett undersökande av vilka grundläggande drivkrafter som fört mig, från att vara ett nyfiket och spontant musicerande barn, till en skolad klassisk sångerska. Jag ställer mig frågan varför detta har varit och är viktigt för mig som person och hur min personlighet, i kombination med användandet av min röst, har påverkat och påverkats av mitt konstutövande.   Genom att använda mig av kunskaper inom berättarkonsten, såsom litteratur och skådespeleri, har jag vid instuderingen av Robert Schumanns sångcykel Frauenliebe und Leben op. 42, försökt finna en balans mellan det naturliga och det inlärda i mitt uttryck. Utdrag från varje sång lyfts fram och belyses utifrån textliga och musikaliska aspekter, likaså samspelet mellan sång- och pianostämman.    Vidare undersöker jag hur jag kan gestalta känslor och idéer från en annan tid, utan att sätta min nutida moraliska uppfattning främst. Denna frågeställning tar jag upp i samband med en kortare djupanalys av samtiden kring Clara och Robert Schumann, och denna analys har även färgat interpretationen av verket på ett, för mig, intressant sätt.   Texten avslutas med ett avsnitt som behandlar begreppen bildning och intuition och hur dessa kan, eller bör, sammanstråla i ett professionellt konstutövande generellt, och med fokus på mina resultat under mitt arbete specifikt. Clara Wieck Schumann sits at a particularly thorny juncture in musicological scholarship, as her career mirrors a period of nineteenth-century transformative social and musical change. The concept of public and private spaces came to be codified, and women's musical interactions, somewhat unsurprisingly, followed suit. In accordance with the now bourgeois concerns for social cultivation and primacy, concert structures were destabilized, programs moved away from an emphasis on miscellany, virtuosity was soundly rejected, and serious musical efforts came to dominate critical inquiry and commentary. The philosophy of Romantic listening hinged on the primacy of absolute, "serious" musics and, similar to the morals of the public bourgeoisie, privileged "masculine" expression. Within these strictures, a female pianist developed into the preeminent symbol for all that was ideal in the public piano recital. Clara Schumann has, for scholars of nineteenth-century music, come to embody the serious music aesthetic: whether it be through her role as interpreter, more homogeneous recital structuring, or allegiance to the goals of transcendental listening, she remains a figure who performed out of duty to her higher, artistic "calling." Nevertheless, scholars have rarely attempted to consider how, in a restrictive gender society, Clara was able to maintain such a successful and highly respected public career. My dissertation seeks to tease out the dynamics of Clara Schumann's reception, in order to elucidate ways she, as a woman, was able to perform in this preeminent public space, and, in fact, embolden (rather than degrade) the ascendancy of the masculine. With a career spanning some 60 years, Clara's 794 German concerts allow us a window into the complex negotiations that permeated her public performances and celebrated personality. For the first time in English translation, Appendix I gives a complete listing of Clara's programming in Germany and Vienna. By considering a wide range of sources--visual images, concert reviews, and programs--I hope to unearth ways that Clara, while challenging the hegemony of the male pianist, nonetheless continued to entrench the mores of the musical masculine to an even greater degree. / text

Modern critical works on the seventeenth-century Extremaduran author Catalina Clara Ramírez de Guzmán are sparse, with the exception of recent interest manifested by a small group of feminist scholars in the United States. Apart from intermittent mentions of her poetry, she is virtually unknown among British Hispanists. This thesis seeks to fill many existing gaps in knowledge on her by providing a broader critical assessment of her surviving poetry than has been available thus far, particularly by situating it and its author within their historical, literary and social contexts and drawing thematic and stylistic analogies with works by other authors, male and female. Part I will concentrate primarily on historical aspects. It will establish the reputation enjoyed by the poet in her day and review references to her work in modern critical literature. It will also provide a detailed reconstruction of the poet's family antecedents and discuss the evidence of a literary community in her home city during the period in which she was active as a writer. Part II will focus on the poetry itself, specifically a consideration of the thematic content of a broad representative selection of Ramírez de Guzmán's verses, which were not published until nearly two centuries after her death, and an examination of her interaction with the genres of occasional verse, verse portraiture and burlesque and satirical poetry, all of which will be discussed against the background of their respective traditions.

Using as a document her long plays published in that time, we discuss different moments about Clara’s trajectory, showing how she and her artistic managers used black cultural symbols anchored in Brazilian cultural forms. Acting in a context when the social black movements were being rebuilt, Clara Nunes belonged in a musical scene where samba was being modified, going back to “reafricanização”, taking part in this process. We also detected an expansion in Clara’s repertory that, beyond “áfricas”, showed up national culture items, developing, that way, the idea of “Brasil mestiço” / O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar a trajetória artística da cantora Clara Nunes entre 1971-1982 e a partir da performance da artista verificar como ela construiu a ideia de um “Brasil negromestiço”. Utilizando como documento os discos de Clara lançados neste recorte temporal, examinamos diferentes momentos da trajetória da artista, destacando como ela e seus produtores inseriram em seu repertório signos negros ancorados na cultura brasileira. Atuando em um contexto de retomada dos movimentos negros, Clara Nunes fez parte de uma cena musical em que o samba passava por uma “reafricanização”, participando deste processo. We seek, by these means, to achieve collaborative ways to help people to use the internet, providing conditions that are effective and efficient so that they can feel satisfied when performing their desired routines. In fact, such initiatives become necessary due to failure in the production of web environment that hinder the participation of people, leading them, in many instances, to mistakenly interpret the given guidelines or even to read the information presented. These failures appear as web aspects that transcend the isolated solutions of programming, applied layouts and language used. In fact, we credit that they are more justified due to the existing gap between the subjects who work in the skills that form the pillars of current communication. This can be seen in the literature review when investigating the little research and literature available that deal with this convergence of knowledge, intended to develop the usability of the web. From this point we dedicate ourselves to establish the thread that could unite the skills of linguistics, computing and web design to web usability purposes. From a qualitative research approach, developed through a case study, we designed a Linguistics Usability Model (LUM), supported by the following principles: social function, context, verbal interaction, expectations and user experience, gender, textual linguistics, multimodality, readability, legibility and plain language. These principles were related to e-government usability guidelines, which provided the basic conditions for establishing an assessment tool and proper guidance for institutional sites. To perform practical tests with the tool, defined as a unit of analysis, the Portal Brazil, administered by the Department of Social Communication of the Presidency (SECOM), as a centralized website of official communications. In a complementary way, we present the online tools Readability Test Tool, Online Utility and Readability-Score, available on the web, which performs automatic tests of readability. We also consider that the knowledge of these tools is very important because they create the possibility of handling other evaluation models that are also used to improve web usability. However, the results indicated that online readability tools aren’t adequate to perform direct analysis of websites and documents written in Portuguese. In the case of the LUM tool, the responses were positive and enlightening, which increases its capacity as a pedagogical tool for the investigation of linguistic usability on the web. These results demonstrate the value of interdisciplinary connections, established and maintained by the relevant areas, improve web usability conditions. / O presente estudo tem como objetivo propor um novo modelo de orientação e avaliação da usabilidade linguística praticada no ciberespaço, obtido por meio de ferramentas que se baseiam nas Diretrizes de Usabilidade EPWG (2010) e nos princípios da Linguística Aplicada, Ciência da Computação e Web Design. Buscamos, por esses meios, atingir formas colaborativas que auxiliem as pessoas para bem utilizarem a internet, proporcionando condições que sejam efetivas e eficientes para que possam sentir-se satisfeitas ao realizar suas rotinas desejadas. Na realidade, tais iniciativas se tornam necessárias devido a falhas na produção do ambiente da web que prejudicam a participação das pessoas, levando-as, em muitos casos, a interpretarem erroneamente as orientações dadas ou mesmo dificultando a leitura das informações veiculadas. Estabelecidas, essas falhas se mostram como aspectos da web que transcendem as soluções isoladas da programação escolhida, dos leiautes aplicados e da linguística utilizada. De fato, creditamos que se justificam mais devido ao próprio distanciamento existente entre os sujeitos que atuam nessas competências que formam os pilares comunicação atual. Isso pôde ser constatado durante a revisão bibliográfica ao verificarmos poucas pesquisas e literaturas disponíveis que trabalham com esta convergência de saberes, destinada para desenvolver a usabilidade da web. A partir disso nos dedicamos a estabelecer o fio condutor que pudesse unir as competências da linguística, computação e web design para fins de usabilidade da web e, partindo de uma abordagem de pesquisa qualitativa desenvolvida por meio de um estudo de caso, concebemos um Modelo de Usabilidade Linguística (MUL), sustentado pelos seguintes princípios: função social, contextualização, interação verbal, expectativa e experiência do usuário, gênero, linguística textual, multimodalidade, leiturabilidade, legibilidade e linguagem clara. Esses princípios, para serem aplicados, foram relacionados com as diretrizes de usabilidade de governo eletrônico, o que proporcionou condições básicas para estabelecer uma ferramenta de avaliação e orientação própria para portais e páginas institucionais de governo. Para efetuar os testes práticos com a ferramenta, definimos como unidade de análise o Portal Brasil, administrado pela Secretaria de Comunicação Social da Presidência da República (SECOM), por ser um portal centralizador das comunicações oficiais do Governo Brasileiro. De modo complementar, apresentamos as ferramentas online Readability Test Tool, Online-Utility e Readability-Score, disponíveis na web, que realizam testes automáticos de leiturabilidade. Julgamos importante o conhecimento dessas ferramentas, pois criam a possibilidade de manusearmos com outros modelos de avaliação que também se dedicam a melhoria da usabilidade na web. Entretanto, os resultados indicaram que as ferramentas de leiturabilidade online, apresentam dificuldades para realizar análises diretamente dos portais e em documentos escritos na Língua Portuguesa. No caso da ferramenta MUL, as respostas foram positivas e esclarecedoras, o que amplia a sua capacidade como ferramenta pedagógica para a investigação da usabilidade linguística na web. Esses resultados demonstram a valorização das conexões interdisciplinares estabelecidas e mantidas pelas áreas afins, em busca de melhores condições para o ambiente da web.

Partindo da iconografia do Retábulo das Almas do Purgatório, da Igreja de Santa Clara do Porto, propusemo-nos realizar um estudo das géneses devocionais e antropológicas do seu programa iconográfico. Este estudo alicerçou-se em fontes de origem multidisciplinar, dentro das ciências sociais, estando, no entanto, sempre subjugado a uma leitura historiográfica. Assim, a procura de uma compreensão do porquê das formas, levou-nos a uma pesquisa que envolveu uma pensada articulação entre o texto teórico das várias áreas das ciências sociais e os factos históricos. Para uma compreensão mais eficaz, o trabalho dividiu-se num estudo segmentado pelas temáticas presentes no retábulo. O trabalho começa numa incursão pelo estudo do purgatório, (temática principal do retábulo) dividindo o seu estudo pelas várias cambiantes do seu culto. O estudo foi posteriormente vectorizado para a génese da devoção das duas imagens de Santos Negros presentes no retábulo – Santo Elesbão e Santa Ifigénia. A partir dos referidos objectos de estudo, quisemos criar uma reflexão debruçada no “sentido das imagens”, o qual acaba por se apartar em muito da sua materialidade. O fim último deste trabalho é uma tentativa de união das várias ciências sociais para o estudo do “objecto artístico”.
