Lived experiences of HIV sero-discordant couples in BotswanaBaratedi, William Mooketsi 17 November 2014 (has links)
The phenomenon of HIV discordance has been in existence for a long time along with HIV. However, very limited attention has been given to HIV discordance. This phenomenological study aimed at gaining a deeper understanding on the lived experiences of sero-discordant couples in Botswana. Reports show that discordance in Botswana is around 17%. The main objectives of this study were to identify HIV discordant couples living in Botswana and explore their knowledge and understanding of the situation, explore the psychological, social and sexual experiences of the HIV discordant couples and determine its impact in their lives, and examine the meaning they attach to such experiences and challenges they face as well as their coping strategies. A qualitative phenomenological approach using face to face in-depth interviews was used to explore and describe meanings and experience as lived by the HIV discordant couples. The study sample consisted of forty-six (N=46) (twenty-nine (n=29) females and seventeen (n=17) males) participants selected using purposive sampling from three cities in Botswana. The Inclusion criteria were that participants should be aged 21 years and above; with no known diagnosis of mental illness; having been in a discordant relationship for at least six months at the time of data collection; living in Botswana and willing to participate in the study. The findings were that there are three forms of discordance, which are: discordant unaware which are couples who went into the relation unaware of their HIV status. Discordant aware; those who got into the relationship already knowing each other’s HIV status and discordantly discordant which are those with differing HIV status and differing motives of going into the relationship. These are the couples that conceal their status from one another. The results revealed intense emotional/psychological, sexual and social stresses as experienced by couples. HIV discordant goes through three phases of initial shock, conflict and resolution. The researcher recommends the OPEN DESK MODEL to be integrated in the health facilities to encompass the concept of a family or couple and as a unit. / Health Studies / D. Litt. et Phil. Flexibelt boende : en multifunktionell möbel för begränsad bostadsyta / Flexible Living : a multifunctional furniture for limited living spaceSoubiea, Nicholas January 2017 (has links)
The goal in my bachelor thesis has been to create a multifunctional furniture, a product in which the form has followed the function to allow the user variation for the body and practical functions. The purpose of this project has been to encourage reduction of unnecessary furniture within compact living spaces and instead offer better solutions to practical multifunctional furniture. In my research phase for this project I studied different forms of multifunctional furniture on the market as well as carried out different observational studies of student living and how students generally use their furniture. The first being various visits to different student rums and apartments. The other being a closer study at Malmstens school in which I allowed students to create their own space and interact with the furniture to study how the students used the furniture and how the students sat in the furniture. A basic, yet crucial, survey about multifunctional furniture was sent out to gather information on what people do at home and what type of furniture people prefer if they were to live in a compact space. The research gathered led to the next phase of the project in which many different sketching techniques, both 2d and 3d, resulted in a multifunctional furniture which offers variation within sitting and practical use. As a result of the analysis a furniture prototype will be built and shown at Malmstens Spring Exhibition and Vallastaden Living and House Society Exhibit in September 2017.

: Kommunikativa strukturer och frågornas struktur i lågstadielärares klassrum / Does it matter? : Communicative structures and the structure of questions in the classroom of primary school teachersEk, Kajsa, Hildorsson, Emma January 2020 (has links)

ARTESÁNIKAMansilla Ramirez, Carlos Sebastian, Machuca Hurtado, Diego José Rodrigo, Váez Coral, Karla Valeria, Valdez Meza, Andrea Carolina, Espinoza Guanilo, Milagros Giovana 30 November 2020 (has links)
Artesánika was born from the idea of providing a low-priced option that responds to the need for comfort accentuated at this conjuncture in which many workers and students were forced to carry out their work from home, having to adapt their house environment to their new needs. On the other hand, we identify that lapdesks not only help to work from home, but that they are a perfect complement to various activities such as reading, watching a movie, painting a picture, etc. We must also add that our business idea does not only focuses on sales, but is based on the idea of supporting the economic reactivation of small artisans who were also affected by the current situation. Therefore, Artesánika works hand in hand with Peruvian artisans to create a quality product, 100% Peruvian, at a fair price and within reach of everyone.
On the side of our customers, we make sure to provide them with a quality product, that has all the details they need to perform their different tasks. We also designed three colors that fit the preferences of our clients and we will continually renew to offer them the best product and service. Taking all this into account, we seek to be a means by which we can provide a solution to both parties, both for the customer and for the artisans, being the nexus that unites both needs and to be able together to contribute to the economic reactivation of our country. / Trabajo de investigación

Efficient and Responsible Incident Management : Designing a Service Desk Web Application with Integrated Major Incident Reporting Functionality for Swedish Government AgenciesMichel, David January 2021 (has links)
In this 7.5 HEC B-level thesis in Computer Science, a service desk web application is designed for Swedish government agencies with integrated major incident reporting functionality to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap). There are several advantages to integrating the major incident reporting procedure into the regular incident management process - information would no longer have to be duplicated, and the problems of untraceability and under-reporting could additionally be solved. The proof-of-concept application was designed and partially developed with ASP.NET Core (MVC) web framework and Bootstrap front-end framework. The user interface was evaluated with heuristic evaluation by the author and two master’s students in Information Security at Luleå Technical University. Although the proposed software and interface design may have left room for improvement, it did highlight the societal need for an efficient and responsible incident management process and the general benefits of integration.

Narrative pastoral practice at a primary schoolBasson, Nerine Celeste 01 January 2002 (has links)
South African schools provide an enormous challenge for transformation towards inclusive and caring communities of learners, facilitators and caregivers. This qualitative study conducted at a primary school used narrative pastoral therapy-as-research and participatory action research-as-therapy to develop inclusive and caring practices. Co-authoring conversations with learners and caregivers from a diverse cultural and religious traditions and collaborating with facilitators challenged me to develop pastoral care as political care. This paved a way for future transformation of a school as a multi-religious community of care and respect. I engaged with participants in finding alternative ways of dealing with loss due to death of loved ones or separartion from caregivers. Children with chronic illness challenged their experiences of rejection and marginalisation at school by writing and producing a play while those whose voices were silenced chose other ways to inform learners and facilitators about their illness. / Practical Theology / M.
