No. of bitstreams: 1 2015 - Talita Goulart Ferreira.pdf: 840701 bytes, checksum: 269f67f2b802faacd371504e2ca46b4a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2015-11-23 / CAPES / This research is about the teacher's pedagogic action in the teaching of the production of written texts in the 9th grade elementary school. In this sense, it sought to discuss and analyze the development of argumentative writing with students from public schools. Although the PCN recommend working with a variety of genres since the late 1990s and the school and the textbooks have inserted various genres in the school the student's daily life, not always genres are worked effectively. This research captures the social and communicative functionality of the opinion article by proposing to carry out a systematic work of teaching and learning of writing in the classroom. Given this perspective, we prepared a didactic sequence, based on Dolz theory, Noverraz and Schneuwly (2004), which proposes a set of activities planned around a genre. The pedagogical action was based on Action Research, because we aim to transform the teaching practice and writing of students. To focus on the language skills needed to write the opinion article, we observed the textual production of students in two periods: the first one through skills to be used during the intervention; the second one, in which we examine the appropriation of genre after the application of didactic sequence. The results revealed that after research, the students began to consider the action skills, with the progress in the use of argumentative type and argumentative justification operations, refutation and negotiation. In addition, the results also indicated a greater concern of students with regard to linguistic and discursive skills, such as using modalizers and argumentative operators. Thus, the study reaffirmed the impact of the application of the didactic sequence in the writing of students.

Empirická analýza projektu: Stáže ve firmách / The empirical analysis of the project: Stáže ve firmách

Švarc, Michal January 2013 (has links)
This paper is dedicated to the empirical analysis of the pilot trainee project Stáže ve firmách, which is considered as treatment in this analysis. The main objective of the empirical analysis is estimation of average treatment effect(ATE) and average treatment effect on treated(ATET) for characteristics like socioeconomic status and wage. Counterfactual methods for policy impact evaluation like Difference in Differences Estimator(DiD), First Differences Estimator(FD) and Propensity Score Matching(PSM) are used to estimation mentioned effects. This paper contains extension of Assignment Problem that is used for people matching purposes as alternative for PSM. This way of matching provides better control over creation of couples. Resulting pairs are more similar in selected characteristics due to better control during couples creation process.

Schmidt, Ruben 31 August 2005 (has links)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the analysis of dynamics in thin polymer films using single molecules. Thin polymer films (less than 100nm) were produced and analysed by Single Molecule Detection (SMD) and Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC). This allows a spatial and time resolved investigation of the single dye molecule. The aim was to ascertain if, and in which way, the dynamics of the environment are reflected by fluctuations of the fluorescence lifetime of the single molecule. In addition to evaluating the investigation methods two kinds of molecules - DiD and Malachite Green - were also analysed.

Sex, Drugs, and Rodent Reward: An Exploration of the Sex-Specific Roles of Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptors in Ethanol Reward

Derner, Melissa Guildford 08 December 2016 (has links)
Alcohol, recently named the most dangerous drug in the world, contributes to nearly 40% of violent crimes and fatal traffic accidents, increases risk of roughly 60 different diseases and injuries, and is responsible for 2.5 million deaths each year worldwide. Despite these staggering figures, treatments remain ineffective and riddled with adverse side effects, making successful use of even the most effective treatments unlikely. Moreover, many of the treatments, and the supporting research, have focused only on male subjects, despite sex differences in various alcohol-related behaviors. Human alcohol use is frequently accompanied by nicotine use, and vice versa, suggesting a common mechanism of the two drugs. In fact, alcohol may act through the same family of receptors as nicotine, the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), eliciting similar activation of the reward pathway as nicotine and other drugs of abuse. Studies have shown that nAChRs containing the α4 and/or α6 subunits are involved in nicotine-induced activation of the reward pathway, leading to the hypothesis that these same receptor subtypes may be important for alcohol effects in the brain as well. Using male and female genetic mouse models and various behavioral assays, we have shown not only that these α4 and/or α6-containing nAChRs are involved in alcohol- related behaviors and activation of the reward pathway, but also show sex differences in this involvement. Uncovering the mechanism of alcohol in the brain, in males as well as in females, is an important step in developing targeted treatments for alcohol abuse.

An Analysis of Lockdown and the Effect on Stock Returns : Does Lockdown during COVID-19 Serve as an Explanatory Variable in the Performance of the Danish Stock Market?

Björnemark, Julia, Lilja, Kimsy, Norenius, Emma January 2022 (has links)
This thesis investigates if the announcement of lockdown had a significant impact on stock market return in Denmark. The research approach used is quantitative and deductive and the sample consists of daily adjusted close prices of stock from the 20 largest listed companies in Denmark, according to market capitalization rate. The time period studied is 28th of February 2020 till 27th of March 2020. Lockdown's effect on stock market return is studied using a Difference-in-Difference model, where daily adjusted close prices of stocks from the 20 largest companies in Sweden are used as a control group.  The COVID-19 pandemic has for the past two years had a huge impact on societies globally. At the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, to try and stop the spread of the virus, governments around the world implemented lockdowns of varying degrees. Denmark was one of the first countries to implement lockdown. However, the culturally and market similar Sweden, opted for a different approach and did not implement a lockdown at all. It is therefore of interest to investigate whether lockdown announcements had a measurable impact on stock returns at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. Previous research conducted by Vasileiou (2020), Baker (2020), Ichev and Marnič (2018), Hassing Nielsen & Lindvall (2021) and Ashraf (2020) on the subject have found that COVID-19 generally contributed to market uncertainty. This uncertainty in turn affected the stock market significantly, both positively and negatively. The major findings of this thesis suggest that the lockdown implemented in Denmark had no significant effect on stock returns during the investigated sample period.

At the same time, it is important that this teacher organizes his practice from didactical and pedagogical guidelines of teaching through textual genres, which crosses the bias of the didactical sequences of Bernard Scheneuwly and Joaquim Dolz as well as the theoretical interactionist idea of Levy Vygotsky. It is also necessary trying to understand approaches that comprise the multimodal universe of various emerging communication forms, which consolidates several sign systems that interweaves each other in order to establish language uses, and thus the result of human relations expressed by ways of several languages. This implies to mention literacy and multi-literacy, once multimodality is a constitutive characteristic of social communicative forms, which are found in society in accordance with technological development. Not only this emphasizes oral and written interactions, but also includes every communicative technology. Once that new means of organization for academic knowledge are created as a result of this context of continuous changes and that new means of reading, interpreting and producing texts are constantly being produced, this paper presents only those ones focused on the study of languages, which stimulates a didactic and pedagogical transposition flexible to several cultural contexts. From this assumption, this paper aims to present results from a research conducted on the program of post-degree in Agricultural Education (UFRRJ), which intends to create a summary and analyze critically the knowledge and didactical and pedagogical practice of Portuguese Language Teachers of The Federal Institute of Amap?. Thus, this study purposed to see that the Portuguese-speaking school with a didactic and pedagogical practice rooted in the theory of genres , guided at first by the National Curriculum Standards , can help pluridiscursivo language learning , going beyond what is proposed and waiting for this document , achieving citizenship education linked to the context of technological change , in which different genres emerge as the sociocomunicativa needs of individuals in situations of social interaction / O ensino de L?ngua Portuguesa ministrado pelo professor da contemporaneidade n?o pode prescindir das orienta??es e influ?ncias dos Par?metros Curriculares Nacionais e dos postulados te?ricos da Lingu?stica Textual, os quais s?o ancorados nos princ?pios te?ricos de Mikhail Bakhtin.

Farro Lazo, Jorge January 2010 (has links)
Technology nowadays is evolving at rates that surpass anything imagination could perceive and it certainly affects every public or private enterprise. Well, according to this topic, I’m suggesting the improvement of the communications network of the Regional Government of Lima based on an integrated data and voice platform which includes a Cisco Centralized IP Telephony solution, called Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.0, that works as a main element in order to achieve meaningful and complete management of internal and external telephone calls within MPLS Networks. Regional Government of Lima has been chosen because of its importance related to the economic activities of the population and the support that could be brought by an institution which could make success and generate productivity about rapid administrative processes . The thesis is divided into distinct chapters that make up the context of the investigation which involves network planning and design as an iterative process, encompassing topological design, network realization, IT asset sourcing and operations planning. For this purpose, information about the old and non sophisticated network status was raised. Costs and more details such as hardware and software features and more ways to make this network work so much better, with all the resources at its disposal, will be found on this whole solution

The authors of this text were four teachers who have been teaching or taught the subject of history at the Indigendus School of Patax? Coroa Vermelha ? Red Crown located in the country of Santa Cruz de Cabr?lia in the south of Bahia. Having the accomplishment of this investigation done in this aforementioned school was necessary to obtain the altogether authorization as the followed: from the chief of the village Coroa Vermelha Red Crown, from the direction of the body of teachers who was investigated, from National Foundation of Indian (FUNAI) as well as the Committee of Ethics and Research Involved with Humanbeings (CEP), from the University of the State of Feira de Santana (UEFS). This piece of research is about the representation of the Indians cantained in the didactic book of History also contemplating the specifications of the book of the grade school witch was adapted by the school among others indicated by the government. Besides, the analysis of texts and the images presented in one of the chapters mentioned in the book which particularly deals with the indigenous peoples. This piece of reseach was of qualitative nature and having the interview semistructered as the main instruments of collecting the data, furthermore the verbal texts and imagery presented in the didactic book. The data were analyzed from the theoreticalmethodological perspective of the analysis of the images it was verified that although the chapter of the book analyzed and used by the teachers in their work the material brings along some advancements in relation to the thematic of the book contains images and verbal texts with stereotyped representations about the Indians. We could find the indigenous teachers put together in a critical way the representations and verbal speeches and imagery contained in the didactic book among many factors in themselves. We quote: the preservation of their traditions costums and cultural in heritance, the use of specific didactic materials from their culture and the technological Resources available in the school due to continued academic background as well as the knowledge of specific legislation aiming at education of the Indians among others. The indian peoples acquire each day more knowledge about their rights and personalized education and education also surpasses the planning of specific and didactic books whest quality fits the maximum of the culture of the indigenous peoples. This piece of research contributes to rethink the distortions that are still present in the didactic book of history related to the images and verbal texts about the Indians considered in its most important aspects the discursive perspective of the indigenous teachers in the context of the school of Patax?. This points out the necessity of re evaluating the didactic books produced with the participation or even the striking direction of the Indians taking into account the view of the diversity of specificity and the rich variety of the culture of indigenous peoples of patax?.
