Nowadays humans live in an informational context based on information access and production. Because of that, the Information Society emerged, since the revolution of microelectronics. Computers and Internet are stimulated by information and communication technology, and they are tools to information society. The relationship between individuals and organizations is based on information dissemination. Those changes have helped the social context develop new ways of communication, known as Network Society. In this context of changes, this paper has two central research problems: Does the information literacy contribute to the organizational learning of the business incubator in Marília / SP "Miguel Silva"? Information Literacy develops competent individuals to manage business incubator center in Marília / SP "Miguel Silva"? This paper aims to demonstrate that Information Literacy contributes to organizational learning and develops individuals able to manage micro and small business. This research has four specific objectives: a) to review the literature of Information Science and Management; b) to verify models, standards and indicators of information literacy; c) to identify models, standards and indicators of organizational learning; d) to demonstrate the importance of Information Literacy to organizational learning, and to the development of entrepreneurs competent to manage business; e) developed and Information Skills program aimed at entrepreneurs. This research is fundamental because it disseminates strategies that contribute to appropriation of information; as a result it stimulates the development of information literate people. Information literate individuals are citizens who use knowledge to transform actions around them. The methodology is based on an exploratory descriptive research based on a qualitative approach. Furthermore the case study was used; also the triangulation technique was used to understand the context. The triangulation technique used three research instruments such as interview, questionnaire and documentary research. Consultants give training and use some supporting materials such as books and video lessons, but they are not very effective. Teaching and learning are extremely important actions to the training of entrepreneurs, since they are elements that create knowledge and organizational development. Information literacy related to organizational learning strategies transform individuals into social beings that produce information and disseminate knowledge.

Chiesa, Carolina Dalla January 2017 (has links)
This dissertation discusses the narratives and justifications related to the process of creating a market for crowdfunding in Brazil based on the people who create projects and websites, mainly, as well as the most common literature in the field. We intend to portray and discuss the establishment of this market through its past and pedagogy, typical of circuits of commerce in Crowdfunding whose actors intend to circumscribe what they call as a “Crowdfunding culture”. This market is comprised of a double-movement of approximation and distance among platforms as a way to morally determine what is supposed to be a Crowdfunding and what is not supposed to be. This process reveals the emergence of controversies, agencies and, mainly, entrepreneurial subjects that aim at “making the difference” through Crowdfunding platforms and projects. Ultimately, the Crowdfunding is related to the creation of critical justification on the role of the Government and Private sector in the constitution of markets, even if Crowdfunding itself recall common corporate practices as communication strategies, for instance, which aim at creating attachments with the target audience. Therefore, donation and pre-buying mechanisms overlap, as well as the motivations to create such projects. Theoretically, this work is supported by the Pragmatic Sociology of Luc Boltanski and the comprehension of markets based on Sociology and Anthropology, mainly inspired by the point of view of Michel Callon and Jens Beckert. This dissertation intends to contribute to Anthropology by discussing the process of market creation from the point of view of the subjects that work in it and its narratives.

Entrepreneurial Ecosystems’ Impact on Immigrant Entrepreneurship : In Context of Kronoberg Region

Veljanovski, Ana, Basha, Arilda, Kuznetcova, Polina January 2018 (has links)
The literature argues that the immigrants act in segregated communities and they, in most of the cases, establish low-risk and low return businesses within their ethnic communities. The importance of connecting immigrant entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial ecosystems is a challenge to be overcome taking into consideration that the immigrants usually are not involved in it as a consequence of a lack of information about how it can facilitate immigrant entrepreneurship. The aim of this research is to explore how the entrepreneurial ecosystem can facilitate the immigrant entrepreneurship by confronting the stories of the entrepreneurial ecosystem to the stories of the immigrant entrepreneurs in Sweden, in context of Kronoberg region. Qualitative analysis approach is applied and in-depth interviews are performed on seven organizations that are part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and four immigrant entrepreneurs. Collected empirical data is then transformed into narratives for each interviewed person. The analysis and the answer to the question are done based on the structure of Isenberg’s Domains of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem. The research showed that the entrepreneurial ecosystem can facilitate the immigrant entrepreneurship by providing micro-loans, alternative ways of financing, equal access to opportunities, embracing the experimentation and drive, consultancy in different areas as legal regulation, accounting and business plan preparation, free of charge working space, seminars and workshops, help with understanding and translation of the language, contacts with early customers and business partners and by providing access to new markets. However, empirical data showed that even though these resources exist, there is a missing link between the available resources and immigrant entrepreneurs. What is more, improvement is needed with regards to the challenge of the language barrier and trust issues. Finally, the results of this thesis contribute in raising the awareness for the need of a more strategic approach to immigrant entrepreneurs as a vulnerable sub-group in the society and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. What is more, the immigrant entrepreneurs can use it as a valuable source of information for the different benefits are provided by the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Assume for the purpose of realizing in which direction the housewives and workers are in the informal entrepreneurship, an opportunity for income generation and survival in the city of Boa Vista, Roraima. The theme for being disturbed in women and realize how great has been our progress in recent years. And female entrepreneurship has been one of the areas in which women have been highlighted. Entrepreneurship has often been on the agendas of economic discussions of our country. The main reason that produces these discussions is the fact that women find themselves conducting business as much as men. Their creativity to new business is great especially within the informal economy and the social economy, which is where they are featured. The research took the contribution of qualitative approaches without exclusion of the quantitative aspects. Among the many aspects revealed it was clear, in general, there is a common thread among these women is the story of subordination to the hegemony andorcêntrica, but they tore the veil of submission and managed to stand out in the public sphere and now represent half the productive power of the country, with the vast majority householder. Finally, we note that the professionalism and entrepreneurship for these women is much more than a source of income, is the condition to feel us, feel belonging to the world, is a condition for raising your self-esteem.

This study analyzes the political position of the industrial entrepreneurs from Minas Gerais, affiliated to the Federation Industries of State of Minas Gerais, in relation to the directives of the Second National Development Plan. It is noteworthy that the industrial entrepreneurs affiliated with FIEMG not politically challenged the military, focusing their speech on the claim of compliance with the economic guidelines created with the II PND, in particular, the prospect of decentralization of the Brazilian economy. Thus, unlike the FIESP, which largely adhered, because the II PND, the campaign for privatization and approached a critical position in relation to the military regime, FIEMG remained at a distance from such perspective and welcomed positively II PND. It is noted that the position of FIEMG derives from the perception of opportunity to tackle the development problems of Minas Gerais by appealing to the State, present at different times of the trajectory of Brazilian development, but especially striking in Minas Gerais, with a significant trace in class practice of the entrepreneur in the state.

Abstract: Through analyzing the "All for Education" Movement (TPE), this research presents the elements necessary to understanding the process of building a hegemonic project for the Brazilian nation in which public education occupies a strategic role. The analysis focuses on the business class's role in policy formulation and social mobilization. We examine the extent to which the actions and policies of the TPE create a new configuration of the public sphere. To this end, we analyze the TPE's significance as a new social force that combines public, private and popular demands and proposals for education as a means to become a central player in political disputes currently shaping Brazil. In the course of the research, we observed the TPE relying on powerful communication backed by solid technical support to advance its positions and proposals with a high degree of articulation within all three branches of the state's power. Finally, the form in which the TPE was structured - a pact between entrepreneurs, the service sector and the government - contributes to the blurring of class conflict and class divisions, making the understanding of reality more complex, especially regarding the tenuous line between the public and the private, and making the distinction between social rights and individual rights less clear. This group's proposals contribute to maintaining the possibility of aligning market practices with social justice as a means to integrate and promote agreements for supposed common interests between different social classes. / Mestrado / Ciencias Sociais na Educação / Mestra em Educação

Organização e posicionamento político dos bancos no governo Lula / Organization and political position of banks during Lula's administration

No. of bitstreams: 1 Dias_RodolfoPalazzo_M.pdf: 1670157 bytes, checksum: 39c2a7c251136fdb2c1e5cc5fa098a24 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012 / Resumo: Realizamos uma pesquisa acerca da organização e do posicionamento político dos banqueiros no Brasil no período do governo Lula. Our research is about the organization and the political position of bankers in Brazil during Lula's government. For the analysis of the organizational process of bankers, we studied FEBRABAN, the national representative body of this layer of entrepreneurs. For this study we use documentary sources of the entity and the literature about the subject. To identify the position of the bankers, we analyze the declaration of print media, specifically in "Folha de São Paulo" and "Valor Econômico". We find that the bankers built, since the 1960s, a form of national associative representation, marked by civil legal status. This form allows associative socialization among national members of this class. The position of bankers was favorable about the government policy that was being implemented, but with some trouble spots on specific issues. Still on the positioning, we can identify a constraint about defending a policy of high interest rates; other agendas with greater public acceptance were most emphasized by bankers / Mestrado / Ciencia Politica / Mestre em Ciência Política

Perceived barriers experienced by township small -, micro -, and medium enterprise entrepreneurs in Mamelodi

Maphalla, Shawn Thabo 05 June 2012 (has links)
M. Comm. / Entrepreneurship has a significant economic contribution in terms of employment, job creation and wealth creation that can be attributed to entrepreneurial enterprises (Bell, Callaghan, Demick & Scharf 2004:1). Entrepreneurial activity in any economy often takes place in the small- micro- and medium enterprise (SMME) business sector (Rwigema & Venter 2004:315). However, in the establishment of SMMEs, entrepreneurs encounter or perceive barriers that hinder the establishment, sustenance and growth of these important vehicles that are vital to the development of both society and the economy (Kunene 2008). The focus of this research study is therefore to identify barriers and perceived barriers to entrepreneurship. The study is exploratory and specifically attempts to identify and understand the barriers perceived and experienced by entrepreneurs in the township of Mamelodi in establishing, sustaining and growing enterprises.

Globalising Local Craft : enhancing collaboration between Indian rural artisans and Swedish IKEA designers

Strid, Josefin January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this project is to further enable emancipation of Indian craftswomen through the use of an alternative co-design process. As a designer working with textiles and fashion I was interested to explore how I could positively impact the production process of textiles. I spent five weeks in India, with the intent to understand the stakeholders and the project, but mainly focused on the Indian craftswomen’s involvement. The design research has been an iterative process based on qualitative research consisting of interactive partner visits, observations, conversations and workshops. Starting in 2012, IKEA have formed partnerships with social entrepreneurs around the world with the aim to create social change rather than economic wealth, mainly focusing on giving employment to women. In this partnership, IKEA haven’t yet found the ultimate level of artisan’s involvement in the design process that is convenient for both parties. I propose a design process, comprised of tools, that aims to support rural artisans and urban designers when co-creating textile products aimed at a western market.

L’industrie française du terrassement (1830-1991) / The French Industry of Eartworking, from 1830 to 1991

Okalla Bana, Edy-Claude 31 May 2010 (has links)
The history of the French Industry of Earthworking is an history of entrepreneurs who came to the profession due to the major works program in France setting in place during the July Monarchy in 1830. A new lineage of some entrepreneurs such as Georges Frot, Emile Razel or Firmin Deschiron appeared. The construction of the railway network has given them an important outlet. What was identifying those “men companies” to their peers was, in numerous cases, the establishment and the Generalization of technical innovations on the Roadworks that they were having. The Reconstruction phases that followed the two World Wars enabled to the whole Industry of Earthworking to find an outlet with the different Roadworks of Excavation and clearance of this period, particularly, after 1945, thanks to the Marshall Plan, which enabled some important transfers of Americans technologies in terms of Earthworking machine; During the Thirty glorious, the launching of some politics of major Works by different governments in place continued to maintain the industrial activity to an high level compared with the entire branch of Publics Works. During the years 1980 and 1990, the Industry of Earthworking was introduced in an regrouping and reengineering phase. Some important groups of Publics Works like the Vinci group are still testifying of this change.
