Embasou-se no resgate da história de vida dessa educadora e na hermenêutica feminista como método de analise dos excertos escolhidos dessa intelectual brasileira do início do século XX, pioneira nos estudos sobre a condição da mulher no Brasil. A problemática que envolveu a pesquisa buscou compreender qual o entendimento de Maria Lacerda acerca da emancipação feminina, e quais as contribuições desse conceito para a educação das mulheres na sociedade atual. Inicialmente suspeitávamos de que para a autora a emancipação feminina só acontecia por meio da educação, entretanto, na leitura que fizemos encontramos no seu pensamento outras dimensões pelas quais podemos pensar a libertação das mulheres da sua condição opressora: a dimensão econômica, a dimensão do corpo e da sexualidade e a dimensão do saber. Entre os resultados da pe / The objective of this dissertation was to think over the problem of the feminine emancipation on the present days and how it is related to education through the reading of a few texts by Maria Lacerda de Moura. It was based on her life history and feminist hermeneutics deliverance as the analysis method for the chosen excerpts by this twentieth century Brazilian intellectual, a pioneer in the studies on women in Brazil. The problem that involved the research focused on understanding Maria Lacerda’s perception of the feminine emancipation, and the contributions of her perception to this concept on women’s education in the current society. Initially, we suspected that for the author the feminine emancipation only occurred through education. However, through our reading, we discovered in her thoughts other dimensions over which we can think the women’s liberation from their oppressing situation: the economic dimension, the body and sexual dimensions and the knowledge dimension. Este estudo penetra no mundo das mulheres do sul do Maranhão e o compara com o mundo das mulheres da época pós-exílica, espelhado em textos escolhidos do livro de Cântico dos Cânticos (Ct 1, 5-6; Ct 3,1-5 e Ct 8,1-14). Através de uma hermenêutica feminista da libertação, procura entender a situação de desprezo, exclusão, discriminação e violência das mulheres dentro do sistema patriarcal, androcêntrico e hierárquico, com suas dimensões econômicas, sociais, políticas, religiosa e culturais, predominante tanto no contexto de Cântico dos Cânticos quanto na realidade sulmaranhense. Mostra-se como, em ambos os contextos, as mulheres resistem ao modelo de vida dominante e propõem outro modelo baseado em harmonia, relações fraternas, igualitárias, sem preconceito e sem dominação. Num primeiro momento, retrata-se a realidade do sul do Maranhão a partir das mulheres. A seguir, enfoca-se o modo como elas resistem a este sistema que as violenta. Num terceiro momento, apresentam-se o contexto da época de surgimento do Cântico dos Cânticos no pós-exílio e a resistência de mulheres neste período. Num quarto momento, são analisados textos específicos e representativos de Cântico dos Cânticos. No final, traça-se um paralelo entre as mulheres do sul do maranhão de hoje e as mulheres no Cântico dos Cânticos. Este estudo busca dar novo vigor às lutas e à autoestima das mulheres, sobretudo no sul do Maranhão, para que continuem resistindo a toda e qualquer opressão, gestando, assim, um novo mundo pleno de igualdade, sororidade, solidariedade, inclusão, justiça e paz. / This study enters the world of women in the South of Maranhão and compares it with the world of women in post-exilic era, as reflected in selected texts from the Song of Songs (1:5-6; 3:1-5 and 8:1-14). Through a feminist liberation hermeneutics, we try to understand the situation of contempt, exclusion, discrimination and violence of women within a patriarchal, androcentric, and hierarchical system, with its economic, social, political, religious and cultural dimensions, which prevails both in the Song Songs and in the reality in South Maranhão. It shows how, in both contexts, the women resist the dominant model of life and propose another model based on harmony, brotherly and egalitarian relations without prejudice and domination. At first, this study portrays reality of women in Southern Maranhão. Then, we focus on how they resist this system which is violent with them. Thirdly, we present the context of the time of emergence of the Song of Songs in the post-exilic period and the resistance of women in that period. Fourth, specific and representative texts of the Song are analyzed. Finally, we draw a parallel between the women of Southern Maranhão today and women in Song of Songs. This study seeks to strengthen the struggles and the self-esteem of women, especially those in Southern Maranhão, to continue to resist any oppression, gestating, thus, a new world full of equality, sisterhood, solidarity, inclusion, justice and peace.

Apresenta uma interpretação feminista e ecofeminista de Cântico dos Cânticos, livro sagrado pertencente à Bíblia judaico-cristã. A pesquisa oferece uma possibilidade de resgate e de ressignificação das corporeidades presentes no texto e contribui para um diálogo sobre possíveis conscientizações ético-relacionais e éticoambientais. Resgatar e ressignificar, nos textos bíblicos, corpos de mulheres e suas relações com o corpo vivo da Terra, suprimidos por interpretações patriarcais, representam ressignificar o princípio feminino em sua interdependência com questões humanas e ambientais atuais a fim de despertar um novo olhar que visa a uma consciência sustentável e ética consigo mesmo(a), com o outro(a) e com a Terra. Quando nos conscientizarmos da necessidade de libertarmo-nos de amarras opressoras e absolutistas, estaremos aptos à uma consciência co-evolutiva e sinérgica com a Terra.

In this research, we will analyze the thought of Carlos Mesters and its interpretation developed by the Center for Biblical Studies - CEBI. To reach our goal, we will work, particularly with two popular biblical readings, namely, "The way to Emmaus and The Popular Reading of the Bible: Searching for the Lost Coin , both used as a methodology for biblical reading within CEBI. These approaches of interpretation intend to go beyond the study of the biblical texts and seek to contribute to the process of conscientization towards transformation of the reality of domination and oppression. It is in this context that we study the critical feminist hermeneutics of liberation articulated by Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza, as an important tool to examine and dialogue with these popular approaches of reading. We relate the methodology of Cebi to a feminist and emancipatory paradigm of biblical interpretation. In addition to pedagogical and methodological issues, this enterprise results in the problematisation of some theological themes intrinsic to biblical interpretation, namely, the subject of interpretation, the analysis of reality and the criteria to define revelation and authority. From this dialogue between "popular reading of the bible" and "critical feminist hermeneutics of liberation , we come to the conclusion that the first, despite being defined as an approach to a liberating biblical interpretation shows some gaps in relation to this goal. From the analysis of the different methodological steps of interpretation and the theological themes, we perceive within Mesters´s project and more specifically in the project of CEBI, the absence of analytical tools which could facilitate the transformation of the concrete socio-religious realities, the analysis of the experiences of the subjects of interpretation, and the reflection on criterias to define the place of revelation and authority. The thesis is not intended to replace the popular method of Biblical reading by the hermeneutical dance proposed by Schüssler. The thesis instead tries to rethink the possibilities and problems of the popular biblical reading in its attempt to transform reality. In this sense, the dialogue with political emancipatory theories articulated theologically and biblically by Schüssler may be important for political and methodological reassessment of CEBI. (AU) / O objetivo central desta pesquisa é investigar o potencial de transformação sócioreligiosa da leitura popular da bíblia. Dentro desta abordagem de interpretação, serão analisados o pensamento de Carlos Mesters e suas reelaborações desenvolvidas pelo Centro de Estudos Bíblicos CEBI. Para tanto, trabalhar-se-á, particularmente, com dois textos metodológicos da leitura popular da bíblia, a saber, A Caminho de Emaús. Leitura bíblica e educação popular e A Leitura Popular da Bíblia: à procura da moeda perdida . Essas abordagens de interpretação têm como objetivo ir além do estudo dos textos bíblicos, ao pretender contribuir para com o processo de conscientização em vista da transformação da realidade de dominação e opressão. É neste contexto que se aponta a hermenêutica feminista crítica de libertação articulada por Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza, enquanto uma ferramenta importante no intuito de analisar e dialogar com tais abordagens de leitura popular, uma vez que parece articular mais seriamente um paradigma feminista emancipatório de interpretação bíblica. Este diálogo problematizará, para além da questão pedagógico-metodológica, alguns temas teológico-bíblicos que são intrínsecos à interpretação bíblica, a saber, os sujeitos da interpretação, a análise da realidade e os critérios para se definir a revelação e a autoridade. A partir deste diálogo entre leitura popular da bíblia e hermenêutica feminista crítica de libertação , chega-se a conclusão de que a primeira, apesar de se definir como uma abordagem de interpretação bíblica popular e libertadora, acaba por apresentar algumas lacunas em relação ao objetivo que se propõe concretizar. A partir da análise de todos os passos metodológicos de interpretação e de seus temas teológicos, constata-se, no interior do projeto de Mesters e, mais propriamente do CEBI, a ausência de uma ferramenta analítica que viabilize a transformação concreta das realidades sócio-religiosas, das experiências dos sujeitos da interpretação, bem como da escolha de critérios para se definir o lugar da revelação e da autoridade. A tese não visa substituir prontamente o método de leitura popular da bíblia pela dança hermenêutica proposta por Schüssler. A tese propõe, antes, repensar os encaminhamentos e ausências da leitura popular da bíblia em seus objetivos de transformação da realidade. Nesse sentido, a interlocução com novas teorias políticas emancipatórias articuladas teológico-biblicamente por Schüssler pode ser importante para uma reavaliação do projeto políticometodológico do CEBI(AU)
