Em suma, o que se pretende é entender a construção da história de D. Afonso Henriques em três tempos diferentes, levando em conta que o fazer cronístico era a forma por excelência de registro do passado do século XII ao século XV / The research has as proposal to comapare three versions fo the history of the first portuguese king, D. Afonso Henriques (1109-1185), which are found in the following chronicles: Crónica Geral de Espanha de 1344, prepared by D. Peter Barcelos’ earl, Crónica de Portugal de 1419, attributed by some writes to Fernão Lopes, and Crónica de El-Rey D. Afonso Henriques, compiled by Duarte Galvão, in 1505. The objective of the comparison is to emphasize three versions of the same history from different centuries to, thus, try to notice the updates of the past that each chronicler accomplishes, despite structuring their texts from the source of compilation. This specific inquiry is oriented by a wider objective, which is to ask about the patterns of the historic labor of the late Middle Age and, for that, some themes will be developed in the elapse of the chapters, such as: the possibilities of the chroniclers’ reading, the role of the compilation in their narratives, the historical truth pretended by the chroniclers, the time organization in the chronicles, the values of the writing time of the chronicles and the objectives of their elaborations. In sum, the wanted is to understand the construction of the history of D. Afonso Henriques in three different times, knowing that the chronicles’ labour was the form for excellence for talk about of the past, from the 12th to the 15th centuries

Avaliação microtomográfica da modelagem de canais radiculares curvos preparados com sistemas automatizados / Microtomographic evaluation on the modeling of curved root canals prepared with automated systems

Breno Nappi Ventura 29 June 2017 (has links)
The ideal root canal preparation is related to the process of cleaning and shaping that results in specific conditions for the filling of root canal systems. Due the constant evolution of preparation systems, microcomputed tomography (micro-CT) has been presented as a reliable method of research that possibilite a complete and detailed appraisal of the root canal. Few studies have been performed on instrumentation systems with this methodology. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the shaping ability of the ProTaper Gold (PTG) system and the ProTaper Next (PTN) with glide path done with K #15 file or ProGlider (PG) system, analyzing the canal transportation, quantity of dentine removed, increase in volume and surface of the root canal and the quantification of uninstrumented root canal surface after the its prepare into mesial canals of mandibular molars with severely curvature. Twenty-four mandibular molars were divided in two groups (n=12) according to the glide path accomplished (with PG or with K #15 file). After, the PTG system was used on the mesiobuccal canal and the PTN system on the mesiolingual, creating two more subgroups. The teeth were scanned by a micro-CT before and after the preparation. The obtained data were compared using ANOVA test for the variance analyzes of two factors and Tukey test for multiple combinations. In the results, on all of the root canal extension, as well as to the analysis on the cervical, middle and apical thirds, there was no statistically significant difference between the groups about the canal transportation. In terms of the quantity of dentine removed, the PTN system combined with K #15 file showed significant lower percentage than the other groups just in the middle third. The increase on percentage of the canal volume was bigger in the groups where the glide path was done with K #15 file in relation to the groups with glide path accomplished with PG and significant on the totality of the canal and on the individualized analyzes for the cervical and middle thirds. The percentage of the surface increase was significantly greater on the totality analyzes of the canal and on the one individualizing the middle third on the groups where the glide path was performed with K #15 file. There was meaningful difference and greater amount of walls uninstrumented in the apical third on the groups where glide path with K #15 file was used. In front of the results, is possible to conclude that the glide path, done with K #15 file or PG, didn\'t present interference on the deviation of the root canal original curvature to all groups; however, when PG was used, there was a greater number of walls instrumented on the apical region to both systems tested.

Analise de falhas de instrumentos endodonticos rotatorios de Ni-Ti em odontologia / Failure analysis of rotary endodontic instruments of Ni-Ti in dentistry

Almeida, Fabiano Costa, 1969- 12 October 2008 (has links)
Orientador: Itamar Ferreira / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Mecanica / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-12T18:16:51Z (GMT). / Abstract: Rotary endodontic instruments of Ni-Ti (rotary files) are used in order to prepare endodontic dental conducts and show memory shape, high flexibility, and different designs. Although these characteristics, when used in endodontics clinic, sometimes occur fracture inside the conduct of the tooth and, as a result of that, low life, high cost, and iatrogen. The propose of this study is to realize a failure analysis of two different endodontic files, ProTaper® and ProFile®, of Ni-Ti, from the same maker and different shapes, by using some files with failure in service, and fatigue test in files, without use, in rotating bend, to obtain references in terms of micromechanisms of fracture. Were realized chemical analysis, by spectrometry of X-Ray fluorescence and X-Ray diffration, metallograthy, by optical microscopy, and fratographic, by scanning electron microscopy, and microhardness and fatigue tests, in the two types of files, ProTaper and ProFile. The results show the chemical composition of the two files are the same, with 58% of nickel and 42% of titanium, in weight, and was possible to identify, by metallography, two phases, Ti2Ni (secondary phase) and TiNi (matrix). The median levels of microhardness were 344HV1, for the ProTaper® file, and 330HV1, for the ProFile® file. It was possible to identify, by scanning electron microscopy, two different regions on the fracture surface of the files, for fracture from service and from the fatigue tests, one correspondent to the fatigue zone, and another, the final fracture, show dimples. It was possible to conclude that the failure of the analyzed files was by fatigue. / Mestrado / Materiais e Processos de Fabricação / Mestre em Engenharia Mecânica

Língua estrangeira e memória: ao redor da Lei do Espanhol e de sua implantação no Estado de São Paulo / Foreign language and memory: a critical study of the Spanish language teaching law and its implementation in the state of São Paulo

Natália Santini Victuri 01 September 2017 (has links)
The main purpose of this research is to analyze how what was predicted in the textuality of the law 11.161/2005 in legal documents of São Paulo state materialized, especially concerning its enactment. Using this law as object of study, one is theoretically positioned in the Discourse Analysis of the materialist line and in what is understood, in this field, as language(s) policy(ies). The research carried out here allows us to identify the paths of the discursive memory linked to the teaching of foreign languages in regular schools in the State of São Paulo from 1961 (the year when the first Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education was published). The analysis that was carried out implied building up a corpus based on legal files linked to three agencies: the State Education Council, the State Education Secretariat and the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo, and a careful study interpreting the documents from these files. This study is guided by two questions: firstly, how foreign languages and especially Spanish are signified, and how certain deletions and slides operate in the way of signifying them and, secondly, the place that Spanish and other foreign languages occupy within regular education. The analysis of the documentation leads to the conclusion that there has been a decline in the meaning of foreign languages: while English is firmly and exclusively established in the regular curriculum, Spanish and other foreign languages are relegated to the position of \"extracurricular\" the latter linked, especially, to the Language Studies Centers, also addressed in this dissertation. Finally, after Final Considerations, some observations on the approval of Law 13.415/2017, rejecting the \"Spanish Law\", allows one to confirm the conclusions of this analysis, specifically with regard to what is referred to as foreign languages.

Image manipulation and user-supplied index terms.

Schultz, Leah 05 1900 (has links)
This study investigates the relationships between the use of a zoom tool, the terms they supply to describe the image, and the type of image being viewed. Participants were assigned to two groups, one with access to the tool and one without, and were asked to supply terms to describe forty images, divided into four categories: landscape, portrait, news, and cityscape. The terms provided by participants were categorized according to models proposed in earlier image studies. Findings of the study suggest that there was not a significant difference in the number of terms supplied in relation to access to the tool, but a large variety in use of the tool was demonstrated by the participants. The study shows that there are differences in the level of meaning of the terms supplied in some of the models. The type of image being viewed was related to the number of zooms and relationships between the type of image and the number of terms supplied as well as their level of meaning in the various models from previous studies exist. The results of this study provide further insight into how people think about images and how the manipulation of those images may affect the terms they assign to describe images. The inclusion of these tools in search and retrieval scenarios may affect the outcome of the process and the more collection managers know about how people interact with images will improve their ability to provide access to the growing amount of pictorial information.

Avaliação in vitro da capacidade de corte e deformação de limas rotatórias de níquel-titânio / In vitro evaluation of the capability of cut and deformation of rotary nickeltitanium files

Paulo Roberto Baptista Reis 05 August 2009 (has links)
Aim: The search to improve root canal preparation makes new instruments are designed. However, several factors such as cutting angle, cross section, forming the tip and taper influence the fracture of these instruments. Therefore, the purpose of this investigation was to evaluate in vitro the ability to cut and deformation of rotating file F2 ProTaper Universal system and file system EndoSequence of 25/06, both nickel-titanium based on the number of uses. Methods: For this study we used a non-random convenience sample of ten files rotary F2 ProTaper Universal System and ten rotary files number 25/06 of System EndoSequence. Results: In the descriptive statistical analysis of the sum of the loss of files ProTaper Universal, the coefficient of variation was 8,7%, and the EndoSequence was 9,12%. When compared to the cutting efficiency of summation of damage there was no statistically significant difference between the files ProTaper Universal and EndoSequence. The F2 ProTaper Universal files examined showed progressive loss of cut from the first use with statistically significant until the fifth use, while the 25/06 EndoSequence files also demonstrated significant progressive loss of cutting from the first to the fifth use except the forth use, where there was no loss of significant cuts in relation to the third use. It is believed that based on the last sentence, when were compared the loss of cutting of different uses between both groups, there was only one statistically significant difference in the comparison between the forth uses, where the used EndoSequence files shows better performance than the ProTaper Universal files, and the rest of the comparison was not statistically significant between the files studied. As the deformation of the files examined it was found that there was no statistically significant when seen in the scanning electron microscope. Conclusions: Using the methodology used and based on the results obtained it was concluded that the ProTaper files and EndoSequence showed similar ability to cut, in relation to deformation of files, found that between these two marks used no difference statistically significant.

Simulation parfaite de réseaux fermés de files d’attente et génération aléatoire de structures combinatoires / Perfect sampling of closed queueing networks and random generation of combinatorial objects

Rovetta, Christelle 20 June 2017 (has links)
Random generation of combinatorial objects is an important problem in many fields of research (communications networks, theoretical computing, combinatorics, statistical physics, ...). This often requires sampling the stationary distribution of an ergodic Markov chain. In 1996, Propp and Wilson introduced an algorithm to produce unbiased samples of the stationary distribution, also called a perfect sampling algorithm. It requires parallel simulation of all possible states of the chain. To avoid simulating all the trajectories, several strategies have been implemented. But they are related to the structure of the chain and require a monotonicity property, or a construction of a bounding chain that exploits the lattice structure of the state space or the local character of the transitions. In the field of communications networks, attention is paid to the performance of queueing networks, that can be distinguished into two groups: the networks that have a product form stationary distribution which is easy to compute. Random generation can be used for the others. Perfect sampling algorithms can be used for open queueing networks, thanks to the lattice structure of their state space. Unfortunately, that is not the case for closed queueing networks, due to the size of the state space which is exponential in the number of queues and a global constraint (a constant number of customers). The main contribution of this thesis is a new data structure called a diagram. It is inspired by dynamic programming and allows a new technique of construction of bounding processes. The first part of the manuscript is devoted to the implementation of the Propp and Wilson algorithm for closed queueing networks. The representation of a set of states by a diagram and the transition operation for the bounding process has a polynomial complexity in the number of queues and customers. This technique is extended to closed multi-class networks and to networks with synchronizations. Specification of sets of objects that can be represented by a diagram and generic algorithms that use this data structure are proposed in this manuscript. The Boltzmann method is another unbiased sampling technique. It is based on analytical combinatorics and produces uniform samples from objects that belong to the same combinatorial class. It is used in the second part of this thesis in order to sample the stationary distribution of closed networks with product form and for the generation of multisets of fixed cardinality. Diagrams are used again in this context. Finally, the third part presents the software produced during this thesis, implementing diagrams and perfect simulation of closed queueing networks.

Deployment failure analysis using machine learning

Alviste, Joosep Franz Moorits January 2020 (has links)
Manually diagnosing recurrent faults in software systems can be an inefficient use of time for engineers. Manual diagnosis of faults is commonly performed by inspecting system logs during the failure time. The DevOps engineers in Pipedrive, a SaaS business offering a sales CRM platform, have developed a simple regular-expression-based service for automatically classifying failed deployments. However, such a solution is not scalable, and a more sophisticated solution isrequired. In this thesis, log mining was used to automatically diagnose Pipedrive's failed deployments based on the deployment logs. Multiple log parsing and machine learning algorithms were compared based on the resulting log mining pipeline's F1 score. A proof of concept log mining pipeline was created that consisted of log parsing with the Drain algorithm, transforming the log files into event count vectors and finally training a random forest machine learning model to classify the deployment logs. The pipeline gave an F1 score of 0.75 when classifying testing data and a lower score of 0.65 when classifying the evaluation dataset.
