Our project seeks to develop a business idea based on the problem that we have detected due to the State of Emergency that we are experiencing due to the worldwide spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Due to the current situation, many gyms around the world have had a relevant impact, even more so those that did not have some kind of virtual platform for those people who due to lack of time could not attend establishments dedicated to physical exercise. A problem has been identified for those who want to maintain a healthy life, but do not have the necessary knowledge to maintain an exercise routine at home or an adequate eating plan. Similarly, during this pandemic, mental health is one of the most prominent issues. It is important to mention that what is planned is to take advantage of the problematic context experienced on a day-to-day basis, in order to provide adequate solutions that generate real benefits for the people who will be part of them. This project is divided into two stages. In the first stage, the validation of the problem is described through interviews with the target audience and experts related to the subject. In the second stage, you will focus on developing the business idea and determining the incorporation of the company. Within the analysis developed, the importance of the operations and marketing implemented is highlighted. Our differential is the customization factor in each plan offered. / Trabajo de investigación

Styrkeförluster vid åldrande? : En tvärsnittsstudie om eventuella skillnader i styrkeförluster hos äldre seniorer / Loss of strength with ageing? : A cross-sectional study on possible differences in strength losses in older seniors

Hallgren, Hampus, Brostedt, Carl-Mikael January 2023 (has links)
Background: Older people, aged 65 and over, should be physically active for a healthier and longer life. Research has shown that muscle mass and strength decrease exponentially faster after the age of 60 and muscle atrophy occurs mainly in type 2 muscle fibres. A reduced amount of muscle mass in older people is strongly correlated with disability, resulting in regular strength training being an effective method to counteract sarcopenia in older individuals. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to study strength differences between different age groups in seniors measured in a performance-adapted outdoor gym. Method: The study was a quantitative cross-sectional study. A total of 35 participants, 21 women and 14 men, were asked to perform physical max tests in the lab and outdoor gym. Results: The Mann Whitney U test showed differences in maximum strength between men and women 65+ in all static max tests, at the 0.001 level. When splitting the age groups by gender, there was a difference between men at the 0.05 level in the rowingpull, p=0.039, and benchpress, p=0.028. Spearman's correlation test showed a negative correlation at the 0.01 level, p=0.005 between age and STS r = -0.466. Conclusion: The conclusion of our study is that there was no significant difference in maximum strength between the 65-75 and 75+ age groups. There was a difference in maximum strength between men and women over 65 years of age. When dividing the age groups by gender, there was a difference in maximum strength between men 65-75 and men 75+ in the rowing pull and bench press, but in women there was no difference in maximum strength between the age groups 65-75 and 75+. Based on the results of our study, it can therefore be concluded that both older men and women need strength training to maintain strength during aging.

Moreno, Jackie, Lövberg, Magdalena January 2023 (has links)
<p>Betyg i Ladok 240111.</p>

The Performance of Health? Motivations Behind University Students' Decisions to Wear Athletic Attire

Payne, Shannon 01 August 2015 (has links)
"Athleisure" is a relatively new term to the American lexicon, a portmanteau used to describe athletic clothing used for leisure purposes. Recent studies show a disconnect between consumers' desire to purchase athletic attire and the percentage of Americans considered "active to a healthy level and beyond." While athletic wear sales skyrocket, reported levels of inactivity have slowly increased in recent years. These trends indicate a phenomenon in which consumers prioritize ownership of athletic wear over athletics. In this research, I set out to answer the following research questions: How do university students interpret and understand the purchase and wearing of athletic clothes, in the absence of athletic activity; and is a student's decision to wear athletic clothing for nonathletic activity associated with a symbolic performance of a healthy lifestyle? In order to answer these questions, I focused on a set of UCF students between 18 and 24 years of age who wore athletic attire as leisure attire and exercised less than three times a week. My data collection included participant observation, literature review, semi-structured interviews, and a focus group. I conducted semi-structured interviews with 18 UCF students who fit my inclusion criteria. Based on recurring narratives, I invited interview participants back to hold a focus group in which three students ultimately participated. In analyzing these data, I found that college students consider athletic attire suitable for a variety of casual situations, and therefore did not conflate wearing athletic attire with participating in athletic activity or the appearance of a healthy lifestyle. Further, research participants used age- and gender-based stereotypes when making judgments about their peers' habits regarding athletic activity and wearing athletic attire. These findings are important because they demonstrate how the boundary between public and private attire can change over time, how discourses of consumption outweigh discourses of personal responsibility, and how dress is a gendered experience.
