L’art de combiner des fragments : pratiques hypertextuelles dans la littérature oulipienne (Raymond Queneau, Georges Perec, Italo Calvino, Jacques Roubaud) / The art of combining fragments : hypertextual practices in oulipian literature (Raymond Queneau, Georges Perec, Italo Calvino, Jacques Roubaud)

Martín Sánchez, Pablo 20 December 2012 (has links)
More precisely, analysing the hypertextual works of the main driving forces of this literary group - Raymond Queneau, Georges Perec, Italo Calvino and Jacques Roubaud, among others - represents a way of proving the capital importance of Oulipo in the birth, developing and consolidation of hypertext as a form of multi-sequential writing, in which different parts of a text offer different itineraries for a particular reading. Conceiving this phenomenon structurally means including paper hypertexts as well as digital hypertexts, and makes possible a parallel journey along the history of potential and hypertext literature from the 1960s decade - where both terms where coined - to the present moment.

Bigareli, Maria Sílvia 17 December 2007 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Maria Silvia Bigareli.pdf: 6401288 bytes, checksum: 1977235d771a65a7d97821bbd8f4cda6 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-12-17 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This thesis has as its main objective to investigate Italo Calvino´s creative mechanism analyzing its process, giving emphasis to the procedures called combinatory games, presented as rules and ludic strategies which apply to other games with the reader's interpretation, allowing through semiosis that the communicational principles move in an unlimited and multiple way. The research wanted to understand if those combinatory operations had a very big influence in the author's Poetic Project and if those rules, used on purpose, were fundamental to his concepts about multiplicity. Denominated by the author hyperromances, the hypertextual procedures of these combinatory games are related to the new creative process in the medias, because the attributes used (non-linearity, virtual possibilities, mobility, multiplicity etc) find in the digital means´ features the appropriate support model to the translation of these procedures. The main objects of the research's corpus are: the author's reflexive texts about his own creative process and the books The Castle of Crossed Destinies, Invisible Cities, If on a Winter s Night a Traveler (in which the author metaliteralily talks about the reader's issue), and the short-story The Count of Montecristo. As for Calvino´s communicative process, our focus is on the variants´ ways, in the multiple paths possibilities. We were instigated by the rules of each combinatory game, we wanted to go through the diagrammatic draw implicit in each text, observe his choices, the selection among so many possible configurations and afterwards relate the similarities and the generalizations of his project as a whole (understanding whole as integrations and not completion. The research, with an analytical character, is based on the Process Critics, supported by the Peirce's Semiotics and it analyses the communicative phenomena studying the process of the artistic creation. In addition, we also used theoretical perspectives related to the studies about complexity, about the ludic and the potential space and about the new medias. According to the nature of the research, the methodology used includes mostly the bibliographical research and the use of objects taken as references by the author while creating his games, such as tarot cards, and it contemplates comparative analysis of the combinatory associations used and their possible interpretations / Esta tese tem como principal objetivo investigar os mecanismos de criação de Italo Calvino sob uma perspectiva processual, enfaticamente os procedimentos denominados jogos combinatórios, apresentados como regras e estratégias lúdicas que se ampliam em outros jogos com a interpretação do leitor, permitindo através da semiose que os princípios comunicacionais se movimentem de forma ilimitada e multíplice.

A ênfase da análise empreendida está nos elementos referentes às autobiografias ficcionais e à metaficção, que dão ensejo também ao estudo sobre o foco narrativo e o tempo / This thesis presents a study about the novels A life and Zeno’s conscience and some sparse chapters, i.e. “Un contratto”, “Le confessioni del vegliardo”, “Umbertino”, “Il mio ozio” and “Il vecchione” from the Italian author Italo Svevo. Based on the analysis of the texts, the work shows how these narratives are examples of literary narcissism, in which the employed artifice to do Literature becomes the narrated theme itself. Furthermore, the study shows a clear evolution of Svevo's work in relation to the critic artifact and the consciousness of the creative work, since this thesis examines three different moments of his work and demonstrates an undeniable maturity of these issues. The emphasis of the undertaken analysis relies on the constituents relating to the fictional autobiographies and to the metafiction, giving rise also to the study of narrative focus and time

Brizotto, Bruno 15 August 2014 (has links)
Submitted by Ana Guimarães Pereira (agpereir@ucs.br) on 2014-12-05T12:41:21Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao Bruno Brizotto.pdf: 1308074 bytes, checksum: 6071d7adf66dcb4a6da00c3634e378f4 (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-05T12:41:21Z (GMT).

Pelletier, Daisy 24 April 2018 (has links)

Petruzziello, Treveur 20 April 2018 (has links)
This master thesis is divided into two parts. Dimitri, a collection of eleven short texts, is a hybrid creation within both the novel and the short story collection without completely conforming to either of them and is built around the singular character of Dimitri. Coping in a world that is foreign to himself, Dimitri tries to exist through speech, but each attempt is doomed to failure. From the dissolution of the character to being quite oblivious to his own existence and to his surroundings in Plume, by Henri Michaux, Mr. Palomar, by Italo Calvino and The Crab Nebula, by Eric Chevillard takes into account the phenomenon of depletion of the character. This analysis intends to explain how to consider and make sense of the characters of Plume, Palomar and Crab, and what vision of the world participate the works that receive them.

A life worthy of being lived : dialectics in Svevo and Michelstaedter

Snyman, Jacobus Wilhelmus Otto 02 1900 (has links)
Thesis (MA)--Stellenbosch University, 1991. / ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The aim of this study is to point out and elaborate the affinities, culturally as well as textually, between the two Italian authors, Italo Svevo and Carlo Michelstaedter. Furthermore, it is the object of this study to demonstrate how, implicitly, the two authors provide an answer, each in his own way, to the question of "una vita degna di essere vissuta" - "a life worthy of being lived". The central theme in this regard concerns the distinctive notions that each author has in respect of 'Ihealth" and "disease", and "life" and "death", as well as how these notions correspond to the implicit search in their respective writings for "perfection", "authenticity" and "liberty".

Minato, Luana 12 December 2009 (has links) (PDF)
