Undersökningen genomförs baserat på finansiell data från tidsperioden 2005-2015 påStockholmsbörsen, genom fiktiva aktieportföljer som skapas efter Graham och Greenblattsstrategier. Portföljerna får ett tillskott på 50 000 kr vid två fasta datum årligen där de mest köpvärdaaktierna enligt respektive strategi inhandlas. I tillägg till dessa portföljer skapas ytterligare tvåportföljer med den skillnaden att halva placeringen årligen investeras i obligationsfonder.Resterande investeras i enlighet med Grahams respektive Greenblatts strategier. Undersökningenvisar att båda värdeinvesteringsstrategierna gav en hög avkastning. Bäst resultat fick Greenblattsportfölj som påvisade en genomsnittlig årlig avkastning på hela 19,37 procent! och ett betavärdejämfört med populationen på 0,79. Grahams strategi gav en genomsnittlig årsavkastning på 10,71procent och hade ett något lägre betavärde på 0,7. Samtidigt gav de alternativa portföljerna enavkastning på 10,93 respektive 7,52 procent med viktade betavärden om 0,39 och 0,35 jämfört medpopulationen som helhet. Stockholmsbörsen avkastade under perioden 9,44 procent.

I focus primarily on Joel Roberts Poinsett, a United States ambassador and statesman, whose career provides a lens into the tensions inherent in a yeoman republic reliant on territorial expansion, yet predicated on the inclusive principles of liberty and virtue. During his diplomatic service in Chile in the 1810s and Mexico in the 1820s, I argue that Poinsett distinguished the character of the United States from that of European empires by actively fostering republican culture and institutions, while also pursuing an increasingly aggressive program of national self-interest. The imperial nature of Poinsett's ideology became pronounced as he pursued the annexation of Texas and the removal of the Cherokee Indians, requiring him to construct an exclusionary and racialized understanding of American republicanism. / Adviser: Carlos Aguirre

Uppsatsen undersöker hur Joel Greenblatts investeringstrategi The Magic Formula presterat på Stockholmsbörsen mellan mars 1993 och mars 2013. Formeln presenteras i Greenblatts bok "The Little Book that Beats the Market" från 2006 och sorterar ut de aktier som har bäst kombinerad ranking av två nyckeltal; Direktavkastning och Avkastning på Kapital. Aktierna bildar en portfölj, vars utveckling jämförs med index. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att The Magic Formula slår index på Stockholmsbörsen och har en högre riskjusterad avkastning. Slutsatsen blir således att Greenblatts investeringstrategi är effektiv på Stockholmsbörsen.

<p> This dissertation brings the insights of linguistic discourse analysis, and particularly of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), to bear on the prophetic book of Joel in order to clarify the nature and function of the Day of YHWH in the book. The concepts of register and genre as defined by SFL, along with the related concepts of context of situation, context of culture, and context of text (or co-text), provide helpful tools that both dovetail with the problems and goals of other kinds of synchronic analysis and give new and valuable insights. By applying register analysis to the various passages that deal with the Day of YHWH in the book of Joel, the dissertation identifies the registers of the four sections of the book and compares and contrasts the various registers of each of these sections, making use of this analysis to shed light on the nature and function of the Day of YHWH in each section. Following this is a description of the linguistic register, the context of situation, and the nature and function of the Day of YHWH in the book of Joel as an entire text.</p> <p> The Day of YHWH in the book of Joel is a future moment of theophanic intervention, an inevitable day of destruction and salvation. Key to the theology of the Day of YHWH in Joel is the relational orientation of the readers/hearers of the book to YHWH. [pt] O tema da sublimidade de Sião em Jl 4,15-17 revela uma imagem de YHWH que zela, carinhosamente, pelo seu povo. Diante das calamidades naturais e bélicas, a experiência da relação entre o povo de Judá-Jerusalém e YHWH faz despertar a consciência de que a fé deve ser superior ao temor de um futuro incerto. O presente estudo chega à conclusão de que Jl 4,15-17 tem como pano de fundo teológico a tradição de Sião, porém com um enfoque teocêntrico. A sublimidade de Sião em Jl 4,15-17 está vinculada essencialmente com o tema do yôm YHWH e se desenvolve em paralelo a este. Tal relação implica uma unidade integral dos temas no livro. O yôm YHWH, presente em todos os capítulos do livro de Joel, se apresenta integralmente com sentido positivo e salvífico para Judá-Jerusalém. A sublimidade de Sião em Jl 4,15-17 corrobora com este yôm, sendo um oráculo de salvação para o povo eleito. O texto revela ainda pontos de contato terminológicos e temáticos com o livro de Joel e com alguns livros do corpus dos Doze Profetas. O conceito teológico da tradição de Sião, por meio da predileção pelo povo eleito na Cidade Santa de Jerusalém, segundo a ótica do livro de Joel, marca um aspecto relevante da fé bíblica veterotestamentária. / [en] The theme of the sublimity of Zion in Jl 4,15-17 shows an image of YHWH who takes care of loving way for his people. In the face of natural disasters and war, the experience of the relationship between the people of Judah and Jerusalem, YHWH does awakening consciousness that the faith must be greater than the fear of an uncertain future. This study concludes that Jl 4,15-17 has as background the theological tradition of Zion, but with a theocentric focus. The sublimity of Zion in Jl 4,15-17 is linked with the main theme of yôm YHWH and develops in parallel to this. This relationship implies an integral unit of the themes in the book. The yôm YHWH, present in all chapters of the book of Joel, presents itself the positive direction and salvation to Judah-Jerusalem. The sublimity of Zion in Joel 4,15-17 corroborates with this yôm, being an oracle of salvation for the chosen people. The text also reveals points of contact terminological and thematic with book of Joel and some books of the corpus of the Twelve Prophets. The theological concept of tradition of Sion, by preference for the chosen people in the Holy City of Jerusalem, from the viewpoint of the book of Joel, marks an important aspect of biblical faith vetero-testamentary.

Como subsÃdio teÃrico, lanÃa-se mÃo do dialogismo interdisciplinar, este apresentado por Lucy Figueiredo como ferramenta à esta cartografia. / In an attempt to approach the concept of pandiabolism created by Wolfgang Kayser, this study is on hold intertextual analysis of wealth that five decades of work, they documented in the book The Bone House, offering as an object. The research takes as methodology the intertextual analysis of Witkinâs images through criticism of his creative processes. As subsidy theory, it employed the interdisciplinary dialogue, presented by Lucy Figueiredo, as a tool to this cartography.

Showing the richness and the challenge of the meaning of read the Bible beginning in an oppression context as our continent. We have the guide of the bible Sciences and of the exegetic modern methods. It s a bibliographic research that, eventually, we consider the experimental level; for example when we work on the Spirit shedding theme in the Chilean Pentecostals. This unit, IV, follow the guide of the principal hypothesis of our theory when we fix the idea that the Pentecostals make part of the large and mixed weakened group as a product of a excluded system, based in the social exploration. In a crisis situation, the spirit shedding is a salvation sign, of future perspective and of conservation and life extension. This theory reads again the spirit shedding theme, Jl 3,1-5. The theme is analyzed in a real social context, which the weakened receives the lord spirit. The axis which makes is read; find the concentration in the people social sectors- mentioned as a direct beneficiary by the spirit action. In general, people mean different sectors. In the politics, young people, slaves (men and women), form the group which sustains and makes the system work. They with the old people that don t produce anymore- are the sustention base of the social pyramid. You will see in the theory, that our hypothesis is possible only if two situations meet each other. For this, first Val, we located and demonstrated that Joel s book must be situated in the apocalyptical literature context (birth). Then, we demonstrated that the Joel s book, as a final literature product, must be situated in the historical context of the after-exile; in the Greek and Persian Empires age. The confirmation of these two aspects, units I and II- in the literary analysis, unit III- give us the opportunity of go deeper into this, by extatic analysis, and confirm our principal hypothesis. With these three units, we demonstrated that in the Lord Spirit shedding there is a main addresses, or exclusives the weakened sectors by the social, economic and religious politics of the Greek and Persian Empires. With these three developed units, in the fourth unit we analyzed a real experience, of a pour sector which have appropriated of the Jl 3,1-5 text, and found in it a social, politics and religious alternative to continue faithful about Lord and for almost one century create and live the Spirit shedding experience again. The old people, the slaves (men and women), form the weakened sector. It s the sector which waits for nothing, and nothing will have about the empires parts and which- like the whitsuns (pentecostales)- because of their weakened situation, believe that only an external intervention can change their future, can bring back the hope ness. This external intervention starts to be possible by the Spirit shedding and makes real in the Jave s Day arrival, that will be big and terrible; Sun and Moon get together to point the Monte de Sião and Jerusalem city as a salvation, adore feeling and refuge place. This perspective of the Spirit action is possible only acquires a big dimension acting in different social sectors, Jewishes or not.(AU) / Esta tese se insere dentro da leitura bíblica latino-americana trazendo, nessa ótica, a riqueza e o desafio do que significa ler a Bíblia a partir de um contexto de opressão como é o nosso continente. Nos servimos do roteiro das ciências bíblicas e dos métodos exegéticos modernos. É uma pesquisa bibliográfica onde, eventualmente, consideramos o nível experiêncial, por exemplo quando trabalhamos o tema do derramamento do Espírito nos pentecostais chilenos. Esse capítulo, IV, segue o roteiro da hipótese central de nossa tese na medida que firmamos o princípio de que os pentecostais fazem parte do amplo e diverso grupo dos enfraquecidos como produto de um sistema excludente, baseado na exploração social. Numa situação de crise, o anúncio do derramamento do Espírito é um sinal de salvação, de perspectivas futuras, de conservação e prolongação da vida. Esta tese relê o tema do derramamento do Espírito, a partir de Jl 3,1-5. O tema é analisado num contexto social concreto, onde os enfraquecidos recebem o Espírito do Senhor. O eixo que nos permite fazer esta leitura encontra sua referencial nas pessoas setores sociais - mencionadas como beneficiadas diretas da ação do Espírito. São pessoas que representam setores diferentes; jovens, escravos e escravas, formam o grupo que sustenta e faz funcionar o sistema imperial persa grego - baseado na exploração e mão de obra barata. Eles, juntamente com os idosos que não produzem mais, são a base de sustentação da pirâmide social. Como demostraremos no decorrer da tese, nossa hipótese somente é possível se duas conjunturas se cruzam. Para isso, em num primeiro momento, localizamos e demostramos que o livro de Joel deve ser situado no contexto da literatura apocalíptica (nascimento). Em seguida, demonstramos que o livro de Joel, como produto literário final, deve ser localizado no contexto histórico do pós-exílio, isto é, no tempo dos impérios persa e grego. A confirmação destes dois aspectos desenvolvidos nos capítulos I e II, nos permitem, na análise literária, capítulo III, aprofundar, mediante a análise exegética, e confirmar a nossa hipótese central. Com estes três capítulos demostramos que o derramamento do Espírito do Senhor tem como destinatários preferenciais, senão exclusivos, os setores enfraquecidos pela política social, econômica e religiosa dos impérios persa e grego. Com estes três capítulos desenvolvidos, no quarto capítulo analisamos uma experiência concreta, de um setor majoritariamente pobre que tem se apropriado do texto de Jl 3,1-5, e encontrado nele uma alternativa social, política e religiosa para se manter fiel ao Senhor e por quase um século recria e revive a experiência do derramamento do Espírito. Os velhos, os jovens, os escravos e as escravas, formam o setor dos enfraquecidos. É o setor que nada espera, e que nada terá da parte dos impérios e que, como os pentecostais, pela sua situação de enfraquecimento, acredita que somente uma intervenção externa pode mudar o seu futuro, pode trazer de volta a esperança. Essa intervenção externa começa a ser possível pelo derramamento do Espírito e se concretiza na chegada do dia de Javé, que será grande e terrível, onde o sol e a lua se unem para indicar o monte de Sião e a cidade de Jerusalém como lugar de adoração, refúgio e salvação. Esta perspectiva da ação do Espírito é possível somente no período do pós-exílio. Nesse tempo o Espírito adquire uma dimensão ampla e inclusiva agindo sobre diversos setores sociais, independe de serem ou não judeus.(AU)

Joel Martins contribution in the context of Brazilian Education, more specifically in the area of Educational Psychology, was remarkable for his new perspectives and approaches not only in theoretical questions but also in practice, for he broke through paradigms, incentivated and promoted researches with the spirit of an achiever and above all for his outstanding personality, which has been influencing his peers. At the same time it is necessary to enhance his relevant role at PUCUSP in several different aspects. The biographical method was used here, making it possible to compose Joel Martins biography. Documental and biographical sources were used, as well as interviews with people who knew him. In the conclusion the collection of data and the crossing of different information (personal, professional and some curiosities) were used, so that an outline of the character could be built under three aspects: his way of being, his intelectual characteristics and his commitment with knowledge and finally, his professional life and his commitment towards Education and University / O objetivo desta pesquisa é coletar e analisar dados referentes à biografia de Joel Martins, demonstrando sua trajetória e importância para a educação. A contribuição de Joel Martins no contexto da educação brasileira, mais especificamente na área de Psicologia da Educação, caracterizou-se por novas perspectivas e abordagens tanto de questões teóricas quanto práticas, por romper com paradigmas, incentivar e promover pesquisas com espírito empreendedor e, acima de tudo, por sua personalidade marcante, que influenciou e continua influenciando aqueles com quem se relacionou. Nesse contexto, cumpre destacar o papel relevante de Joel Martins na PUCSP em diversos aspectos. Utilizou-se o metodo biográfico, o que possibilitou a composição de uma contribuição para uma biografia de Joel Martins. Foram utilizados fontes documentais e bibliograficas e depoimentos de pessoas que conviverem com Joel Martins. Como conclusão, levou-se em consideração os dados obtidos e, cruzando-se diferentes informações de diferentes naturezas( pessoal, profissional e algumas curiosidades), procurou-se traçar, em termos gerais, um esboço da personagem sob três aspectos: seu modo de ser, o intelectual e seu comprometimento com o conhecimento e, por fim, o profissional e seu comprometimento com a Educação e a Universidade.

Volvo Group Trucks Operations tillverkar motorer, växellådor och lastbilar till koncernens varumärken Volvo, Renault, Mack och UD-Trucks. Powertrain Production är produktionsenheten inom AB Volvo som producerar dieselmotorer och motorkomponenter. I Skövde består Volvos produktionsprocesser av gjutning, bearbetning och montering. Gjuteriet använder metaller och legeringar för att producera färdiga komponenter och delar. Tillverkningsmaterialet förvaras och hämtas från fabrikens materialgård. Materialgårdens tillväxt har skett okontrollerat genom åren. Material har placerats efter möjlighet och skapat ett komplext flöde. Volvo uppfattar området vara riskfyllt på grund av det trånga utrymmet personalen delar med inkommande och utgående trafik. Logistiken upplevs därför rörig, ineffektiv och oorganiserad. Syftet var att utföra en nulägesanalys av materialgården utifrån kriterierna layout, personal och fordon, inköp och materialhantering, flöde, arbetsmätning samt riskanalys. Därefter konstruerades ett nytt förslag baserad på nulägesanalysen. Metodiken har baserats på intervjuer och observationer. Teori har studerats för att praktiskt genomföra en layoututformning, analys av logistik och flöde samt arbetsmätning och riskanalys. Revit Architecture har använts för att visa dagens layout och ett koncept av en ny materialgård. Dagbok användes som hjälpmedel efter varje besök. Resultatet av nulägesanalysen visar att aktuell layout skiljer sig avsevärt från tidigare upplägg. Logistiken och materialhantering visar en hög omsättning och ett komplext materialflöde. Arbetsmätningen indikerade på onödiga transportsträckor och långa väntetider. Riskanalysen stärkte tidigare misstankar om osäker arbetsplats.   I förslaget på ny layout presenteras ett upplägg baserat på ”Struktur, Effektivitet och Säkerhet” med en avsevärd minskning av både materialhantering och trafik inne på materialgården. Materialgården är ett exempel på en del av verksamheten som inte har utvecklats i takt med Volvos expansion. Det visar på en oprioriterad verksamhet där planering och struktur har varit eftersatt. För materialgården rekommenderas att Volvo ser över sin materialverksamhet och strukturerar om från grunden. Genom tydligare planering erhålls en effektivare produktion och därigenom bättre lönsamhet. Det kräver att företaget ligger steget före i utvecklingen. Åtgärder bör implementeras om gjuteriet ska uppvisa konkurrensfördelar i Volvos verksamhet. / Volvo Group Trucks Operations manufactures engines, transmissions and trucks to the Groups brands Volvo, Renault, Mack and UD Trucks. Powertrain Production is the production unit within AB Volvo producing diesel engines and engine components. Volvo´s production in Skövde consists of casting, machining and assembly. The foundry uses metals and alloys to produce finished components and parts. The material is stored and retrieved from the factory´s material yard. The material yards growth has occurred uncontrollably through time. Materials have been placed according to feasibility and has created a complex flow. Volvo perceives the area to be unsafe because of the confined space the staff shares with incoming and outgoing traffic. Therefore the logistics are turbid, inefficient and disorganized. The purpose was to perform a current state analysis of the material yard based on the criteria´s layout, employees and vehicles, purchasing and material handling, material flow, work measurement and risk analysis. Subsequently a new proposal was created based on the current state analysis. The methodology was based on interviews and observations. Theory has been studied for the practical implementation of a layout design, analysis of logistics and flow as well as work measurements and a risk analysis have been performed. Revit Architecture has been used to demonstrate the current layout and a concept of a new material yard. Diary was a used tool after each visit. The result of the current state analysis shows that the current layout differs substantially from previous layout. Logistics and material handling shows a high turnover and a complex material flow. Work measurements indicate in unnecessary distances and long waits. The risk analysis strengthened earlier suspicions of an unsafe workplace. The new proposal presents a layout based on "Structure, Efficiency and Security" with a significant reduction in both material handling and traffics inside the material yard. The material yard is an example of a part in the company that has not evolved in line with Volvo´s expansion. This shows an unprioritized part of the business where planning and structure has been neglected. For the material yard it is recommended that Volvo reviews their material activities and tackle their operations from the basis. Through planning, a more efficient production is obtained and thereby improved profitability. It requires that the company is at the forefront of development. Actions should be implemented if the foundry seeks a competitive advantage in Volvo´s operations.
