Neadaptivní způsoby chování pravidelného uživatele marihuany v kontextu výzkumů K. Horneyové a M. Seligmana / Maladaptive behaviors of regular marijuana users in the context of research K. Horney and M. Seligman.

VALICSEK, Martin January 2018 (has links)
The thesis is conceived in two parts. In the first part, the reader will find an outline of the interdisciplinary topic of the topic, but above all the key findings that K. Horney and M. Seligman developed as part of their psychotherapeutic practice with poorly adapted individuals. The second part is a case study of a long-term marijuana individual. The case study seeks to capture, besides the personal history of an individual, the characteristics of his current life situation and specific circles of his attitudes. The findings are then compared with the findings of the authors, with which the reader has the opportunity to get acquainted with the first part of the thesis.

Time as transition : experiences of time, culture and immigration amongst Syrian women in the UK

Almahmoud, Nouha January 2016 (has links)
This study contributes to the current literature on time, gender, migration, culture and identity by bringing insights into how time is perceived and experienced by Syrian women who are settled and working in the UK. It is a topic that is little known in the extant literature, and that differs in its dynamics form the western literature. The notion of time has been widely debated but with little reference to its impact on the perceptions and individual experiences of migrant women, who engage with culturally different time structures and different time schedules. The spatial experiences of those women represented by their mobility across cultural boundaries seem to be affecting how migrant women perceive and organise time. Throughout the study, the Heideggerian interpretive phenomenological perspective has been adopted to make sense of and interpret the meanings and experiences provided by the participants of this study. This has been selected to allow space for considering and acknowledging the impact of the personal experience and prior knowledge of both the researcher and the researched subjects. Perceptions of time and time experiences have been found to be much diversified across personal, social and cultural contexts which are marked by spatial or geographical boundaries. Also, time structures and time schedules have been institutionally gendered across the cultures of both countries: Syria and the UK, but with varying degrees. Empirically, this study can help work organisations and agencies interested in working with migrant people to understand the diversity of perceptions and experiences of migrant female workers in the UK to enable them offering the care and services tailored to the needs of those migrants. In doing so, this research is hoped to improve the quality of work and social contributions of migrant women in the UK. Methodologically, this phenomenological inquiry contributes to the field of empirical and socio-political knowledge as well as the understanding of moral, aesthetic, and personal welfare debated in the migration literature. It contributes to the understanding of human experiences in relation to the notion of time, in isolation of any concern to predicting or prescribing any theory.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Maurício Tessi de Souza.pdf: 1434399 bytes, checksum: 33e4b3f5814a662b1128ffd020800265 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-04-27 / Social software, eg Wikis, Blogs and Microblogs, have gained attention in recent years in the daily life of organizations, these can be incorporated into the project management and collaborative tools. Regarding organizations, these tools can facilitate the sharing of lessons learned and knowledge among employees of an organization and the external public. These facilities can be seen through the real-time communication, access to information by multiple people at the same time and control of information exercised by management or organization. Moreover, the lessons learned are one of the central points of this research, which contributed directly to the organization, management and the security project teams. This study aims to evaluate to what extent the use of an artifact produced by a lessons learned management model can contribute to the management of security projects. As research question of this study narrowed to the following, "To what extent the lessons learned Target 2.0 management model can contribute to the management of security projects?" To this end, this study uses the Design Science Research as a research paradigm and the Technical Action Research as a method, which will reduce the gap between research and practice. This work is characterized as qualitative, using interviews and direct observations techniques. We used a Wiki as a central tool of this artifact, noting the facilities of inputs, consultations and control of the lessons learned from the management and design teams. The device was applied to the organization through a Web 2.0 tool, ie a Wiki, which served as support and support to project teams in the collection of lessons learned. The study found that even the use of the artifact has contributed significantly to the practice of security projects, as there was an improvement in communication between staff and management. Another point seen in the study was the ease of use of the tool users in the process. One of the limitations is the availability of Internet, which is still a problem, because without Internet, the virtual tools or social media are compromised, being a hindrance to the team's work in the field. As a contribution to the theory the artifact created can improve Lessons Learned storage and communication between property security project teams and their managers in the researched organization.

: Hur erfarenheter och mening skapas i dagens växande armé.

Brandt, Ulf, Nordlund, Christian January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to explore how experiences are formed during the establishment of a new regiment and how they impact the project. The study is a qualitative, inductive study where data was collected through interviews and observations. The study focuses on the creation of the Bergslagen Artillery Regiment, A 9, but studies have also been conducted on the Gotland Regiment and the Skaraborg Regiment to create an understanding of the historical legacy in which A 9 operates. Derived from organizational theory, sensemaking has developed as a perspective for understanding and navigating complex systems. Sensemaking is a process where individuals and groups seek, use and interpret information to create an understanding of their surroundings and the situations they are in. Sensemaking involves the individual integrating their own experiences, placed in the current context and thereby interpreting the information. This enables organizations to make sense of complex situations and make more informed decisions. These decisions are then anchored by individuals trying to influence others to adopt a common interpretation of the meaning of the situation, in the study referred to as sensegiving. The results of the collected data show that the establishment of the Bergslagen Artillery Regiment contains both challenges and problems but also forward momentum, problem-solving, and a strong inherent desire to solve the task in a first-class manner. It also contains something deeper, something that is a little more abstract. During the interviews, we have experienced that when we ask questions about lessons learned, which in itself is a relatively bureaucratic and process-oriented area of questioning, the answers often focus on what is perceived as difficult or what has not been given the opportunity to be processed in the individual's reflections or in the group in a good way. Many events that have already taken place have not been taken care of because reflections on these events have not been sufficient or have been lacking. When the data and experiences we have obtained during the interviews are combined, we see a pattern where lessons learned, as we can see from the empirical data, is primarily not formable in writing or words, but instead as an ongoing process in the individuals and groups we have studied. The overall conclusions of the study are that in order for sensemaking as a concept to be applicable in an organization like the Swedish Armed Forces, there is a need to create a shared vision and identity, space for retrospective reflection on operational events, strengthened and delegated mandates at the appropriate level, a flexible approach to leadership and work methods, and an understanding that networks among individuals are the engine that drives sensemaking in the organization.

Misdade teen vroue in die Gautengprovinsie

Jooste, Thomas Ignatius Muller 01 January 2002 (has links)
The purpose of this research was to describe and explain crimes against women in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. It was conducted by means of a literature review, followed by empirical research, based on police dockets, against the background of Seligman's theory on learned helplessness. The literature review was used to design a research schedule. The schedule was used for data capturing from police dockets from the Crime Information Analysis Centre (QAQ at their Gauteng Regional office in Johannesburg. From this data, a convenience sample, consisting of 303 cases, was compiled. These cases were reported at the charge offices of Pretoria-Moot Villieria, Pretoria-North, Pretoria-West Eersterust and Hillbrow, for the period between 1 January 1997 and 1 March 1998. Finally, recommendations are made for the design of preventative strategies, and suggestions are made for possible future research. / Criminology / M.A. (Criminology)

The Relationship between sense of coherence, learned resourcefulness and personality type among technical personnel

Du Toit, François Stephanus 30 September 2002 (has links)
This research study determined the relationship between personality, as measured by the Myers and Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and sense of coherence and learned resourcefulness. The study was conducted among one hundred technical workers within the context of organizational transformation and the ability to cope with resulting stress. Data was collected by means of the Myers and Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Orientation to Life Questionnaire (OLQ) and the Self-control Schedule (SCS). The research found that sense of coherence can be predicted at a 5% significance level, while learned resourcefulness cannot be predicted. Extraverts, sensers, thinkers and judgers seem to cope better with stress-provoking demands. The respective personality types probably make use of different coping mechanisms under the same circumstances. Personality type seems to predict sense of coherence, but factors other than personality type could have an Influence. / Industrial and Organisational Psychology / M.Comm. (industrial Psychology)
