Digital Brand Identity Design from a User Experience PerspectiveHarwood, Isaiah 01 December 2021 (has links)
As a graphic designer and as a creative in general, my interest has always been in the conceptualization and execution of brand identities. I am most comfortable as a designer when I am working in the realm of art direction, and most of my design heroes and inspirations are legendary art directors and designers like Paula Scher, Paul Rand, and Michael Bierut. Logo and wordmark design in particular are among my favorite aspects of design, and finding ways to creatively apply these foundational aspects of a brand to each stage of the user experience is exciting to me. The stages of the user experience which I designed and art directed for my honors thesis included a logo symbol, a wordmark, a set of packaging designs, a storefront, a landing page, and an engaging ad campaign. Designing a brand identity across digital and physical mediums while maintaining a high level of cohesion and story is a rigorous process, and my progress was far from linear. The most important thing I learned was to trust the process; wherever it took me. I am excited to bring what I’ve come to realize during the execution of this project to the industry and to help brands, big and small, design for the digital age across every level of their user experience.

Ape Boards / Ape BoardsKvardová, Kateřina Unknown Date (has links)
Ape Boards is my own newly formed label, which manufactures snowboards and kiteboards. For this thing I have proposed a substantial logotype, which has a function as a unifying element across the whole brand and designs boards. Website (www.apeboards.com). A first collection of snowboards and kiteboards from which I had made 7 pieces for a thesis. Designs do not 'mass' lust, because the objective is not a big production or promotion, but based on what I liked. From the minimalism through the color geometry to the gorillas, according to which the brand was named.

Lubor JENČEK: City branding krajských měst v Česku Abstract This thesis deals with city branding of Czech regional capital cities. Its goal is to compare city branding of Czech regional capital cities and reveal a functional mechanism of city branding in practice. The theoretical framework of this thesis is based on the concept of branding, which is first discussed in general and later theoretically and practically expanded. Its functions in general are discussed. In the empirical part, the main research attention is dedicated to concepts of place branding and city branding on the case of the contemporary city branding of Czech regional capital cities The thesis aims to answer six research questions divided into three thematical groups - interpretation of Czech regional capital cities' brands, motivation for their creating and use, and the ways how to manage them. Answers to these questions should reveal actual condition of Czech city branding. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methods is used in this thesis. Data were acquired by questionnaire survey targeted at all Czech regional capital cities' representatives, and semi-structured interviews with representatives of four selected cities (Ostrava, Zlín, Plzeň and Ústí and Labem) as case studies. The results of the thesis can be applied in...

Previous issue date: 2009-06-25 / Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo / This work aims at providing a critical view of the object produced in the activity Penso, logo escrevo ( I think, therefore I write ) in the Portuguese language classes of the evening 3rd year of High School at the Prof.ª Ruth Cabral Troncarelli school. The Penso, logo escrevo project, which was initially put forward by the teacher-author of the activity to work with text production in the classroom, was turned into the object for the research project in 2007, in 2007 when he decided to reflect about students' production and their relation with language capacities so that they felt able and prepared to produce a text. The specific questions for this research are: 1) What are the meanings regarding text production that students brought up in texts produced during the writing tasks? 2) What were the meanings about text production expressed by the students in classroom discussions about rewriting? What was the impact of the Penso, logo escrevo project activity in the statistics of the students' texts? Within the Applied Linguistics' context, whose dynamic nature seeks to study a wide variety of issues in different contexts mediated and constituted by language (LIBERALI et alii, 2006), the present study is inserted in the theoretical frame of the socio-historical-cultural development (VYGOTSKY, 1934), in the enunciative and dialogical perspective of language (BAKHTIN, 1929), and in the genre approach and the language capacities development (SCHNEUWLY & DOLZ, 2004). This research uses critical collaboration (MAGALHÃES, 2003), whose focus is on intervening to transform classroom practices so that the teacher-researcher and student interaction can have spaces in which the latter are invited to actively participate in the object production for the task. The analysis focus on the re-writing task, based on the teacher-researcher's video-recording of a class in which the students discuss their peers' rewriting of the texts produced during the writing task activity and on the statistic survey about text production made by the teacher throughout the last five years. Categories of analysis are general textual plan and the thematic content survey (BRONCKART, 2007), the language capacities used for text production (DOLZ & SCHNEUWLY, 2004) and the statistic basis to assess the impact of the project. Results reveal that from the approach proposed by the project, students become capable of producing texts at a satisfactory level once they understand and expand the language capacities used in the production, being able to relate more aspects of life, learning the organizational argumentative structuring and paying more attention to linguistic aspects that are used in argumentative genres / O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender criticamente o objeto produzido na atividade do projeto Penso, logo escrevo nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa dos 3.os anos do período noturno do Ensino Médio da E.E. Prof.ª Ruth Cabral Troncarelli.

Previous issue date: 2006-08-14 / The history of the psychologist's profession, gets confused with this professional's own insert in the field of the attention to the public health and their eventualities. However, still an estrangement prevails between the psychologists' formation in the University and the reality of the public net of health. This situation is also reflected in the shortage of studies regarding the formation in psychology in public health. PUC-Campinas owns one of the pioneering experiences, dated of 1986, in the psychologists' formation in the basic attention, for performance in the Unique System of Health (SUS). This research has intended to apprehend the trainees' in Psychology in Health/Clinic s experiences in activities developed as participants of teams of health of the family in the municipal district of Campinas, validating them in the daily dialogue with the researcher. Six senior students of the degree level in Psychology of PUC-Campinas inserted in two groups of the apprenticeship with activities supervised in two Centers of Health-school located in Northwest area of the town. The attendance of the trainees experiencies by the researcher has began with the ingress on the field expressed in this study in ethnographic manner up to the composition of the data of the research that were produced in two moments: a) Diary of Versions of Sense - weekly registration of subjective synthesis individualy acomplished by six trainees; b) individual interviews, partly structured made by the researcher with each trainee. The depositions and diaries of sense versions were qualitatively analyzed starting from a phenomenological reading. The researcher s phenomenological interpretation enabled an interlocution with similar applications found in data basis. From the meaning analysis of the trainees experiences it was possible to infer: a) the formation of the trainee in a field as public health is first felt as something totally unknown, lived with surprise and a certain embarrassment concerned to the inexperience for the work in team of health of the family; b) on the other hand there is the rapid development of an empathy with the public health field, due to a rewarding living with the technicians team, enabling the birth of affective boundings and of a belonging feeling concerned to the health team; c) really feeling like a psychologist comes from the apprenticeship lived in the team meetings, on the exercise of a clinical practice centered in the collective knowledge and interdisciplinary - denominated enlarged clinic; d) as significant elements, facilitators of professional development are pointed out the home visit, the systematic meeting of the team, the professionals and users diversity, the situations lived in the territory; e) feelings of frustration and displeasure were expressed as resultant of troubles living due to the complexity of some cases, and of the lack of adhesion concerned to clinical attendance offered. This phenomenological view about the formation in service, having the experience of the own trainee as the investigation object translates the intention of the focus on social responsibility of the higher education institutions concerned to the commitment of qualifying professionals to act in the reality of the Brazilian society / A hist?ria da profiss?o do psic?logo, confunde-se com a pr?pria inser??o deste profissional no campo da aten??o ? sa?de p?blica e suas vicissitudes.

Previous issue date: 2014-02-10 / Universidade Estadual Paulista J?lio de Mesquita Filho / This study attempted to reflect on the training of psychologists based on the Brazilian reality and, more specifically, on the Curriculum Emphases and profile of psychology courses in the Metropolitan Region of Campinas. Starting from an inquiry into the quality of training of the psychologist in a capitalist context, as such, has transformed
education into a commodity to be consumed by many people. Initially, an explanation was made on educational policies governing higher education in a capitalist context that transforms education into a commodity to be consumed. Later on, we point out significant landmarks on the training of psychologists and school psychology focusing primarily on transformations involving policies related to curriculum structuring, as the Curriculum Minimum of the National Curriculum Guidelines. This work also is based on assumptions of Critical Psychology and Marxism as a way to analyze the social reality and therefore also training. We consider this important study because it has been increasing the number of private higher education institutions to the detriment of the public forming psychologists in Brazil. In the Metropolitan Region of Campinas, there are 7 of them, all being private, and this fact has considerably impacting the demand of
incoming students as well as graduates. Thus, this study aimed to understand and analyze the training of school psychologists from the curricular changes presented in Pedagogical Projects Course. Used as the basis for the research method the Historical and Dialectical Materialism to realize that the quest for understanding the essence of this phenomenon is determined by historical issues of Brazilian reality. Dialectics is the movement that allows the researcher a view from the contradictions of this reality and, therefore, is another look at the research in Psychology. Also we base this work on Qualitative Research presented by Critical Psychology that does not disregard the quantitative analysis of the formation, but this involves a process of knowledge. To this, 4 were considered institutions of Campinas Metropolitan Region which allowed access to the reading of the Pedagogical Projects Course and the interview with the coordinators responsible for them. Our analysis showed the predominance of at least one of the emphases of the course in health institutions in all and only one of them in education. We also identified that the choice of emphasis is given by the greatest possibility of student employability of newly formed psychology and at the same time, greater integration in this field or area of expertise demands higher inflow of students in
psychology course these institutions.

Previous issue date: 2013-01-31 / Petr?leo Brasileiro SA - PETROBRAS / The aim of this work was to describe the methodological procedures that were
mandatory to develop a 3D digital imaging of the external and internal geometry of the analogue
outcrops from reservoirs and to build a Virtual Outcrop Model (VOM). The imaging process of
the external geometry was acquired by using the Laser Scanner, the Geodesic GPS and the
Total Station procedures. On the other hand, the imaging of the internal geometry was
evaluated by GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar). The produced VOMs were adapted with much
more detailed data with addition of the geological data and the gamma ray and permeability
profiles. As a model for the use of the methodological procedures used on this work, the
adapted VOM, two outcrops, located at the east part of the Parnaiba Basin, were selected. On
the first one, rocks from the aeolian deposit of the Piaui Formation (Neo-carboniferous) and tidal
flat deposits from the Pedra de Fogo Formation (Permian), which arises in a large outcrops
located between Floriano and Teresina (Piau?), are present. The second area, located at the
National Park of Sete Cidades, also at the Piau?, presents rocks from the Cabe?as Formation
deposited in fluvial-deltaic systems during the Late Devonian. From the data of the adapted
VOMs it was possible to identify lines, surfaces and 3D geometry, and therefore, quantify the
geometry of interest. Among the found parameterization values, a table containing the thickness
and width, obtained in canal and lobes deposits at the outcrop Pared?o and Biblioteca were the
more relevant ones. In fact, this table can be used as an input for stochastic simulation of
reservoirs. An example of the direct use of such table and their predicted radargrams was the
identification of the bounding surface at the aeolian sites from the Piau? Formation. In spite of
such radargrams supply only bi-dimensional data, the acquired lines followed of a mesh profile
were used to add a third dimension to the imaging of the internal geometry. This phenomenon
appears to be valid for all studied outcrops. As a conclusion, the tool here presented can
became a new methodology in which the advantages of the digital imaging acquired from the
Laser Scanner (precision, accuracy and speed of acquisition) were combined with the Total
Station procedure (precision) using the classical digital photomosaic technique / Neste trabalho s?o apresentados os procedimentos metodol?gicos necess?rios para
Bacia do Parna?ba.
A segunda ?rea, situada
fotomosaicos digitais
