Pelos olhos de Alice: ancestralidade afro-ameríndia, ambientalismo e formação - uma tese de ficção autobiográfica / Through the eyes of Alice: afro-amerindian ancestrality, environmentalism and formation an autobiographic fiction thesis.

Caffagni, Carla Wanessa do Amaral 23 September 2016 (has links)
This research aimed to develop an anthropological study about the subject`s self-formation process from the analysis of an autobiographical fiction. This material was elaborate based on the very author`s rescue and written record of memories and had its beginning on the writing of an academic memorial, providing favorable elements for the comprehension of the self-learner formation process. The autobiographic fiction analyzed was written before the research, has as its main subject the girl called Alice, that lived her adventures in fantastic narratives, whose symbolism foments an phenomenological analysis in the experiences and emotions that, during life, allowed the formation of this author-subjects work, considering herself more than a social and environmental media, but someone in constant formation, also a result of her choices and her own readings of the world. The experiences lived and represented in Alice`s symbolic world, consider, as part of her creation, the contact with some masters that through orality and acquaintanceship, determined desires and influenced choices along the authors life. To understand the relation between master and apprentice played by Alice, we start from the rescue of life stories of two masters that had decisive parts for the author-subject. We seek to find connections between these life stories in the fictional autobiography, via mitohermeneutics, trying to understand how these lives were being constructed and in what moment these people passed to be masters, and the author, apprentice. A search about the self, and the other that is constituted in me.

Differences and similarities between classical guitar and electric bass guitar : A explorational study of learning electric bass guitar and comparing this to classical guitar.

Sunesson, Henrik January 2019 (has links)
In this project, I will present the result of my self-study where I learn the technique of walking bass on electric bass through teacher-led electric bass lessons. This process is video-recorded, semi-structured interview has been held and the documentation is analyzed by transcription. I will process the concept of knowledge and report some theories on what knowledge is and how to categorize this concept through either the division of practical or theoretical knowledge. I will also examine whether the knowledge view of pragmatism is applicable to this study. The study deals with how I used my knowledge as a classical guitarist in my learning of electric bass. How I can use my knowledge found in the electric bass game in my classic guitar play. Even how the pedagogical discoveries I make in electric bass games can be used in my future role both as electric bass teacher and guitar teacher. This is dealt with a socio-cultural perspective in the basics and master-apprentice perspective. The result shows that prior knowledge of classical guitar is very useful if you want to learn electric bass and that several aspects of the guitar play are directly or indirectly transferable to the electric base. It will also show several differences between the instruments that can make learning electric bass more difficult. I have also found basic knowledge in methodology for electric bass games at the beginner stage.

Vanans makt : Betydelsen av vana i praktiska verksamheter i naturen

Svenning, Stephan January 2007 (has links)
AbstractOur life-experiences and our background form the way we act and the activities we are involved in. The overall purpose in this thesis has been to study what habits are to be found in different activities related to the outdoors and how these habits have been developed. Hopefully this work can contribute to a better understanding of the meaning of habits in our lives and thereby play a part in a further differentiated talk about habits and knowledge in society. The background and my theoretical approach has been three views of habits:In practice these patterns of habits are not separable so this approach should be seen as a way of making the development of habits clearer. Another purpose is to study how the following concepts can be related to habits: Reflection, master-apprentice, epistéme, techne, phronesis, interest and tacit knowledge. These habits and concepts constitute a background against which the results will be analyzed. The result originates from seven interviews with very experienced professionals. From the results of these interviews I have created short stories. This is a narrative method, a qualitative attempt that is built on life histories. In this case intention is to formulate an idea of how the way to different habits and knowledge are formed. The stories, i.e. the result, illustrates that all respondents, in one way or another, are affected by the social habit. The culture and the traditions that exist where you were born and where you live will influence habits, the way people think and what values they have creates circumstances for further development. The habit of action is also clearly described in the stories where experiences are an essential part of creating habits. To this habit of action, reflection must be added, a reflection related to the experienced actions. These reflections can help to develop and refine so new actions and challenges can be made. The stories also demonstrate that the relation master-apprentice develops habits. The apprentice learns from the master but the master also has the opportunity to learn by reflecting over why he or she acts in the way he or she does. The habit of knowledge by epistéme, techne and phronesis is also shown in the results. The dominating knowledge-form in these stories is techne, which can be described as know how. Phronesis, practical wisdom, can also be seen in some stories. The concept of phronesis is a question of doing the right thing at the right time considering3the unique situation thus the concept of phronesis involves an ethic dimension. Within the frames of phronesis signs of tacit knowledge can be seen, where the stories describe a kind of intuitive action. The result also indicates that interest is a major factor for creating habits and therefore interest is important for the development of knowledge. Finally I hope that this thesis can contribute to a deeper knowledge about habits and different kind of knowledge. My work can hopefully lead to a discussion or contribute to differentiation in the discussion about knowledge that is presented in today’s society. This is especially important to discuss in the university world where more and new knowledge is the foundation for development.Word for seeking: Habits, epistemology, forms of knowledge, reflection, master-apprentice, episteme, techne, phronesis, interest, and tacit knowledge.

Irländsk Folkmusikwannabe : En självstudie i att appropriera irländsk ornamentik på fiol / Irish trad music wannabe : A self-study about appropriating ornamentation in irish traditional music on fiddle

Höglund, Evelina January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to explore my own learning in the process of appropriating the kind of ornamentation that is a central part of the Irish trad music culture. The purpose is supported with these following reserch questions: Which tools do I use as an apprentice to appropriate the ornaments from the Irish traditional music culture? and To what degree have I appropriated the Irish ornamentation after a period of ten weeks? The thesis is based on a sociocultural perspective with a strong emphasism on master – apprentice teaching. This is included in the background chapter together with relevant litterature and earlier studies on this area. Explanations about specific ornaments and a brief description about the Irish trad culture are examples of what is brought up in the background chapter. The thesis is based on video observations of myself and by a written journal. The result is presented with several themes, for example different tools during individual fiddle lessons, adopting of professional identity and me and my master. In the conclution the results are discussed compared to the litterature and earlier research where my ethnical background and unspoken rules during sessions are mentioned. The discussion also include variation and improvisation together with which tools that have contributed the most to my process of learning.
