A escassez do pensamento meditativo heideggeriano no contexto Iurdiano

No. of bitstreams: 1 Sarah Fernandes Santana Bernardo.pdf: 565504 bytes, checksum: 428a35aed8ee9ff2c6f121d50c86843e (MD5) Previous issue date: 2018-04-20 / Fundação São Paulo - FUNDASP / Meditative thinking, which thinks the sense of being and exactly for this reason, represents a space of greater intimacy, is proposed by Martin Heidegger as a counterpoint to the rational thinking, or as he calls it, calculative thinking. This calculative thinking, which is not restricted to calculations only, expresses the cybernetic mode that is always looking for the next opportunity, carried by the values of effectiveness, efficiency and performance results, that conquers the absolutism in the current season of planetary technique. Now, if the power, control and calculation, coming from Metaphysics, dominate the whole world how does it interfere with religion? Trying to understand the implications of the scarcity of meditation in religion, this research seeks to approach Heideggerian concepts as a key to the reading of the Iurdian context - Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. First presenting the Heideggerian perspective as a basis for the approximation of meditative thinking; then explaining the development of technique in theology, in order to understand the metaphysical tradition bequeathed to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God; and finally, to raise three phenomena that reveal the meditative lacking in the Iurdian context / O pensamento meditativo, que pensa o sentido do ser e justamente por isso trata de um espaço de maior intimidade, é proposto por Martin Heidegger como um contraponto ao pensamento racional, ou como ele denomina, pensamento calculador.

Meditative Art: A Diversion from Stress and Anxiety

Justis, Hannah T., 4239670221 01 May 2017 (has links)
I wished to present a body of work that visually represented my own meditative process of managing stress and anxiety. Towards the end of studying for my undergraduate, I began preparing for my Final Exhibition Show, and with these preparations, my life, as well as my work, changed drastically. Within the past two years, my drawings began to take on a meditative therapeutic process. It was this development that then helped manage my growing stress levels and well as the symptoms that stemmed from high levels of anxiety and bloomed from losing control in my day to day life. It was then conceived, through this carefully crafted systematic means of creation, the notion that my mind could relax and take time to resolve the matters that plagued it, while at the same time, construct something artistically productive. While drawing, I achieved a juxtaposition of varying means of visually representing the idea of control and order within my work as well as within my mind and body. It was this, the creation of these drawings, that hence became my meditative escape in managing my stress and anxieties as well as my obsessive compulsive tendencies, where; without structure, had the potential to turn self-hindering and painful.

Protestants Reading Catholicism: Crashaw's Reformed Readership

Davis, Andrew Dean 14 August 2009 (has links)
This thesis seeks to realign Richard Crashaw’s aesthetic orientation with a broadly conceptualized genre of seventeenth-century devotional, or meditative, poetry. This realignment clarifies Crashaw’s worth as a poet within the Renaissance canon and helps to dismantle historicist and New Historicist readings that characterize him as a literary anomaly. The methodology consists of an expanded definition of meditative poetry, based primarily on Louis Martz’s original interpretation, followed by a series of close readings executed to show continuity between Crashaw and his contemporaries, not discordance. The thesis concludes by expanding the genre of seventeenth-century devotional poetry to include Edward Taylor, who despite his Puritanism, also exemplifies many of the same generic attributes as Crashaw.

Meditace (její formy a filosofické předpoklady) / Meditation: forms and philosophical implications

PELTAN, Václav January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with meditation, its forms and philosophical presuppositions. There are many activities activities that people call meditation, which can differ from each other. The first part is focused on existing definitions of meditation and the author proposes his own definition. The second part is devoted to various meditation techniques and forms. The author extends traditional distinction of known techniques by adding philosophical meditation and methods of relaxation. However, is there something that these activities have in common? The last part thus deals with common aspects of each meditation, which are together with its definition understood as philosophical presupppostitions of meditation itself.

The genre of the elegy in Europe in the XXth century

Reibaud, Laetitia 18 October 2014 (has links)
Elegy is generally believed to have disappeared from European poetry in the XXth century, after a period of apogee during the Romanticism and after the hard criticism that the “modern” poets, who rejected the “excessive” romantic lyricism, leveled at the elegiac poets. Elegy was considered by the former as the emblem of a romantic out-of-date lyricism. Lyricism and the poetry expressed in the first person remained also the target of the attacks and mockery from a part of the XXth century poets and literary critic. Yet a real revival of the genre happens since the very beginning of the XXth century, hesitant and gradual during the first half of the century, then more abundant and obvious in the second part of the period. The names of major European poets of this century are linked with the genre of elegy, and the titles of their works show it: Juan Ramon Jiménez’s Elegías (1908), Rilke’s Duineser Elegien (1923), Karyotákis’ Elegies and satires (1927), Brecht’s Hollywoodelegien (1942) and Buckower Elegien (1953), Pierre Emmanuel’s and Jean Grosjean’s Élégies (respectively 1940 and 1967), Elýtis’s Oxopetra Elegies (1991), or the three posthumous works of Nelly Sachs, Schwedische Elegien (1940), Die Elegien von den Spuren im Sande (1943) et Elegien auf den Tod meiner Mutter (1950). Born in the VIIth century B.C., the genre of elegy is well alive in the XXth. Such a longevity brings us to three questions which organize our research: which are the shapes of the elegy of the XXth century and on which definition(s) of the genre is it based? Which are the connections and balance between traditions and modernity? How does the genre of elegy outlive the attacks against lyricism and what are the characteristics of the new lyricisms which it gives birth to?

L'espace méditatif dans l'installation contemporaine et son inspiration extrême-orientale : étude de quelques exemples représentatifs / Meditative Space in Contemporary Installation and its Far-Eastern Inspiration : a study of some representative cases

Park, Hye-Jun 15 December 2017 (has links)
This study attempts to shed some light on the creation of what might be called “meditative spaces” in Contemporary Art, spaces which seem to engender a special state of mind induced by peaceful interiorization. Most of the artists we study are inspired by Far Eastern thought: Kim Ho-deuk, Kim Kichul, Kimsooja, Kim Sung-bae, Yee Sookyung from Korea, Miyanaga Aiko and Yamamoto Motoi from Japan, Wolfgang Laib from Germany, and Tania Mouraud, from France. This meditative space is created by the elaboration of different kinds of sensory environments, often poly-sensory ones, which incite the spectator to immerse themself, leading them thereby to some kind of meditation. What matters here is not only the artist’s idea or concept, but also the care the artist takes to create their work. Care in the creation and performance which, sometimes, uses traditional craft techniques, sometimes wholly different, very original ones. The quality of attention always comes first: it can be seen in their way of proceeding, using slow, repetitive, ascetic movements, which sometimes even look like a ritual. Thus they open Art to a new dimension that could well be called spiritual. From reflection one slowly moves to meditation, and perhaps even—when the spectator joins the artist in his/her intuition—to the very source which gave birth to the work. Fundamental questions are thereby raised, about Life, Death, and Time. Churches and temples are less and less attended today, but many people still look for a kind of place, an “uplifting” open space, or an “inward” one: a meditative space. Will they be able to find it at the gallery or in the museum ?

Pastorale behoeftes en ervarings van Afrikaanssprekende gelowiges binne die Gereformeerde tradisie wat betrokke raak by kontemplatiewe spiritualiteit / The pastoral needs and experiences of Afrikaans speaking believers in the Reformed tradition involved in contemplative spirituality

Van der Merwe, Hester Maria, M.Th. 11 1900 (has links)
Text in Afrikaans / In this qualitative research study the landscape of the age-old tradition of contemplative spirituality within the context of the reformed tradition was investigated. An empirical study was done to determine the pastoral needs and experiences of Afrikaans speaking believers from the reformed tradition, involved in contemplative spirituality. Questionnaires and qualitative interviews were used for this purpose. The research path has been further shaped by social construction theory as a postmodern approach. This study was born out of my own discovery of the healing qualities of contemplative spirituality and secondly due to the growing demand among Afrikaans speaking reformed believers for exposure to the disciplines of contemplative spirituality. Little research is available on this topic and is it the hope of this research to open new conversations about contemplative spirituality in the Afrikaans reformed tradition. / Practical Theology / M. The Ministry of Passion and Meditation: Robert Southwell's Marie Magdalens Funeral Teares and the Adaptation of Continental Influences

Benedict, Mark Russell 22 March 2010 (has links)
In his most popular prose work, Mary Magdalens Funeral Teares (1591), English Jesuit Robert Southwell adapts the Mary Magdalene tradition by incorporating the meditative practices of St. Ignatius Loyola coupled with the Petrarchan language of poetry. Thus, he creates a prose work that ministered to Catholic souls, appealed to Protestant audiences, and initiated the literature of tears in England. Southwell readapts the traditional image of Mary Magdalene for a Catholic Early Modern audience by utilizing the techniques of Jesuit meditation, which later flourished in the weeper texts of Richard Crashaw and George Herbert. His vividly imagined scenes also employ the Petrarchan and Ovidian language of longing and absence and coincide with both traditional and mystic early church writers such as Bernard and Augustine. Through this combination, Southwell’s Marie Magdalens Funeral Teares resonated with Catholics deprived of both ministry and the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. These contributions solidify Southwell’s place as a pivotal figure in the religious and literary contexts of Early Modern England.

The Technologies of the Information and Communication are important elements for the access to the information, the production of new knowledge and the scientific development, being present also in the context of the higher education and in the environment of the academical libraries, as much as resources of computerize of the technical services and of the administration of these Units, as in the development of products and services based on digital contents of information. Thereby, this study has for objective to investigate the readers' characteristics and of the reading types developed at the Central Library of the Mato Grosso Federal University, considering that, nowadays, the reading resources and traditional research divide space with new products and services, influenced by the Technologies of the Information and Communication. Accordingly it involves an exploratory research based in a qualitative approach, tends as instruments of collection of data, the observation, the questionnaire, the structured interview and the participant observation. The field research was divided in two main stages, the first main was the elaboration of a socioeconomic and cultural profile, and the second stage was the accomplishment of interviews and observations of the processes of navigation of the users/readers of the library. In the first stage, among other aspects, we observed that the readers of the Central Library correspond to a diversified and dynamic public, composed, in its majority for students of degree courses that they are registered in the Pergamum System. Most of the users/readers uses the library frequently, being also verified a significant amount of visitors that use the environment study for contests and similar. The academic research corresponds to the largest reason of use of the library and, and the products and services, it was observed that the books, the local consultation, the service of circulation of bibliographical materials and the use of the atmosphere for study are the resources more used by the readers, having a low index of use of the Technologies of the Information and Communication in the environment of the library, like of the computerized services. The second phase of the investigation understood three moments: approach of the subjects (when it happened the scheduling of the interviews and observations), structured interview and participant observation. The interviews involved questions about the readers' characteristics, their relationships with the technologies, with the cyberspace, products and services of the Central Library. The participant observation explored the solution of three navigation problems proposed to those researched: the accomplishment of a generic research, the accomplishment of an academic research and the exploration of the on-line services of the Central Library (researches in the electronic catalog, reservations, renewals etc.). It was concluded that all of the users researched in this stage of the study presented characteristics of immersive readers, but some readers also stand out like a meditative readers, and these profiles are influenced by the atmosphere, situation and research objectives, as them culture. Besides, on the hand, the fact of they be immersive readers it doesn't mean that they prefer just use the cyberspace, to the detriment of the books and too much materials printed papers, this same prerogative doesn't also mean that these readers know, they dominate and they use the electronic services of the Central Library of UFMT thoroughly.
