Ontologie interakce jako se-tkání duší / Ontology of Interaction

Machová, Světlana January 2017 (has links)
In this dissertation we propose a novel ontological point of view representing inner dimension of being and its interaction based on the phenomenology, quantum physics, psychoanalytic methodology and cognitive metaphor theories. Empirical findings about the phenomenology of interaction, gained from the associative experiment, open a new dimension of scientific research and interreligious discussion. Comprehension system of inner semantics leads us to a deeper understanding of the world of being. Essential Self interaction. described by cognitive metaphor and allows us identification of universal structure hidden beyond the language. Acquired linguistic data suggest that mind's metaphoric self-reflection semantics closely correlate with a concept of entangled quantum particles and light binding phenomena. This theory gave us a unique opportunity to visualize the probabilistic picture of mind itself within an interdisciplinary approach of cognitive and philosophical studies. In this work, we combine theory of physics and philosophy of language. Language, as a bridge between the two worlds: quantum and material, offers us the possibility of insight into inner reality and approach our awareness of being in a clear and undistorted form. Speech as a speech of being is woven into the context of...

Spalovač mrtvol: Fetiš jako popření života a adorace smrti / The Cremator: The Fetish as The Denial of Life and The Adoration of Death

Němcová, Veronika January 2018 (has links)
The Cremator: The Fetish as The Denial of Life and The Adoration of Death Summary The object of interest in the semiotic analysis of the literary work "The Cremator" by the Czech writer Ladislav Fuks are primarily the motifs of fetishism and the cult of death. This framework is examined in the relation to the specific "new" language of masochism and in the relation to the aphasic language disorder related to metonymy. The utterance of the main character Karl Kopfrkingel intermingles with the way he thinks and consequently acts, as he duplicates through his language a fictional world and obscures it with the fetishized descriptions adoring the death. In this case, the masochism is not manifested in a sexuality (as in the case with Masoch), but on the ethno-social level related to the personal myth crisis and the subsequent transformation of Kopfringel and the related environment of the fictional world. These aspects become to a murdering urges in the context of ethnic affiliation, which has become to an obstacle and the settlement with it demands the establishment of a new order. Rétorické figury ve vizuální reklamě vybraných módních domů / Rhetorical Figures in Visual Advertisements of Selected Fashion Houses

Dvořáková, Andrea January 2012 (has links)
Selected fashion houses that exclusively offer luxurious goods use specific form of promotion of their products. Each house usually holds onto traditions of its country and features essential for its own brand while creating new collections. From the point of view of neo-rhetoric it would be appropriate to analyze visual advertisements of the houses (Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry) if they create certain models via them. The main advertising campaigns for the spring/summer 2011 season were chosen for this comparison. Under the terms of observation and semiotic analysis of the fashion advertisement focused on rhetoric figures it can be proved that individual fashion houses aim their attention to how their potential customers' thinking is influenced by their advertising. The model of Roland Barthes is used for the analysis of chosen visual advertisements. Out of all rhetorical tropes the attention is paid to main four - visual metaphor, metonymy, synecdoche and irony. Fashion advertising meets unwritten norm that sets a target to convince the customer of suitability of the products for him.

Identita a mezietnické vztahy mladých Sarajevanů: Kdo stojí na opačných stranách mostu? / The identity of young Sarajevans: Who is standing at the opposite sides of the bridge?

Tučková, Sabina January 2016 (has links)
Sarajevo is a city in which, for centuries, people of different religions and ethnicities have lived together. But the war in the early 1990s partitioned the country into almost ethnically homogenous parts. The aim of this work is to find out, how young people between the ages of 18 - 29 years old perceive the identity of contemporary Sarajevo and to what extent they identify with the official narrative of Sarajevo as a multi-ethnic city. An online survey was conducted in March 2016 by a sample of 66 young Bosniaks, Bosnian Serbs, and Bosnian Croats. The research examines how they identify with the Sarajevan urban identity and the influential factors, such as ethnic categorization, religious beliefs, origin, or dominant information sources. To provide a deeper insight, the online survey was extended to include 15 in-depth interviews with young Sarajevans. There, the author uses a metaphor of a bridge to analyze the young Sarajevans' point of view regarding inter-ethnic relations and identity of their city. The outcome of the research is recognition that young Sarajevans often deny the ethnic categorization and perceive the every- day contact between different ethnic groups as non-problematic. As a consequence, the participants see Sarajevo as a unique city in the Bosnian context and typically distinguish...

Teorie metafory a současné umění / Theory of Metaphor and Contemporary Art

Magidová, Markéta January 2022 (has links)
Title: Metaphor and Contemporary Art Author: Mgr. et MgA. Markéta Magidová Department: Department of Aesthetics Supervisor: Mgr. Ondřej Dadejík, Ph.D Abstract In my dissertation I present arguments for the validity of the aesthetic conception of art (a conception based on the notion of aesthetic experience) also in relation to the development of art movements in the last half century. I do so on the basis of an interpretation of the aesthetic dimension of art through art theory as an extended concept of metaphor. I argue that it is the living metaphor that functions in works of (not only) contemporary art as their aesthetic model. I elaborate this idea through the interconnection of three convergent and currently influential concepts: Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic theory of living metaphor, Martin Seel's aesthetics of appearing, and Alva Noë's theory of art as a strange tool. I lay out the key conditions and characteristics of the process of the emergence of metaphorical meaning and then relate these to the characteristics of artistic appearance. In the perspective of art as living metaphor, the myths and misunderstandings between aesthetics and artistic practice caused by the transformation of artistic production, especially with the advent of the neo-avant-gardes, persisting to the present day, can be...

[en] METAPHOR AND POETIC IMAGINATION IN C. S. LEWIS S CRITICAL WORK / [pt] METÁFORA E IMAGINAÇÃO POÉTICA NA OBRA CRÍTICA DE C. S. LEWIS

JOSÉ LUIZ COELHO RANGEL JUNIOR 09 November 2020 (has links)
[en] The present study aims to analyze, from a specific standpoint, The Pilgrim s Regress (1933), first fiction book by the Irish writer C. S. Lewis (1898-1963). This work is often related to the author s conversion experience to Christianity, and this study aims further interpretations beyond mere allegorical autobiography. One of its objectives is to show how Lewis writes his obscure allegory within an important debate about the nature of language, after the World War I (1914-18). Then, the author presents, in his narrative, ideas which are commonly expressed inside scholarly discussions in Oxford and Cambridge and scarcely noted by the unwary reader. One of the most important post-war aspects was exactly the shift on how to understand language. Although there was no sophisticated media as the World War II s – television, or radio for instance – newspapers, books, pamphlets, images and songs were used to convey war propaganda, in the WWI. Therefore, the idea behind a combat fought not only with arms but also trough language took place among those who lived that period in time and who decided to study it. Certainly, many questions could be raised about language objectivity as source of reliable information and its use in the context of literature, when the underlying dangers of such way to handle language is exposed. In The Pilgrim’s Regress one could see the author positioning himself before this controversy about the nature of language, situated between WWI and WWII.

[en] METAPHOR AND METONYMY IN LEGAL TEXTS: AN ANALYSIS OF THE LANGUAGE IN USE IN THE INITIAL PETITION / [pt] METÁFORA E METONÍMIA EM TEXTOS JURÍDICOS: UMA ANÁLISE DA LÍNGUA EM USO NA PETIÇÃO INICIAL

DANIELE DE SOUZA ARIDE 09 June 2021 (has links)
[en] Assuming the theoretical perspective of Cognitive Linguistics, which is concerned with meaning in the language in use and considers metaphor and metonymy as phenomena of everyday language, this research examines metaphor and metonymy in legal texts. The aim of this work is to investigate the use of language in the legal textual production of the initial petition to understand the extent to which the proposal of conceptual metaphor and metonymy and the corresponding analysis methodology apply. In the investigation, two segments of initial petitions are selected, and 200 lexical units of content are analyzed. In the analysis, an adaptation of the Metaphor Identification Procedure - Vrije Universiteit (MIPVU) is applied to identify and classify metaphors and metonymies in the texts. We refer to dictionaries to present the contextual and basic meanings of each lexical unit and then establish the relationships built. The results show the relevance of use for establishing meaning, the need for a more comprehensive analysis methodology, and the prevalence of conventional and indirect metaphors, as well as metonymies by nominalization rather than deliberate uses, which is consistent with the literature in Cognitive Linguistics and with the specifics in the form, content, and style of the initial petition.

[pt] DO MAPA À PLANTA: APONTAMENTOS PARA UMA CARTOGRAFIA DA DIDÁTICA NA CIBERCULTURA / [en] FROM MAP TO PLANT: NOTES FOR A CARTOGRAPHY OF DIDACTICS IN THE CYBERCULTURE

NADJA NAIRA SILVA DE OLIVEIRA 22 November 2019 (has links)
[en] The vast presence of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the contemporary world is unquestionable. New media generate new ways of interacting with the world and of conceiving it. Faced with this scenario, the school is challenged to coexist with the transformations implied by ICTs in society and culture. Technological innovations represent a new language and lead to a different way of thinking. In the scope of teaching, the challenge lies, among other elements, in the revision of the teacher s role and his/her pedagogical practices. In order to analyze how teachers reconfigure Didactics in the context of cyberculture, we carried out a qualitative research in eight primary schools in the second segment, in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. In order to delve into the reality experienced by teachers in their idiosyncrasies, we used two research instruments: 24 semi-structured interviews with teachers and school managers and two focus groups with teachers from two of the eight selected schools. The data analysis was developed using a cartographic metaphor, a methodological strategy that allowed us to highlight three categories of reconfiguration of teachers practices in the context of cyberculture: the map, the chart and the plant. The teachers who reconfigured their didactics with the use of ICTs were those who perceived, understood and experienced their practices from the local scale, since the classroom is the locus of pedagogical action. They elaborated their practice as if it were a plant. Therefore, we argue that it is legitimate to use reflection in the experience to map a culturally contextualized Didactics.

[pt] A QUESTÃO DA METÁFORA ENTRE RICOEUR E DERRIDA / [en] THE QUESTION OF METAPHOR BETWEEN RICOEUR AND DERRIDA

FELIPE AMANCIO BRAGA 20 April 2020 (has links)
[en] The present work has the metaphor as its objects and aims to investigate the problems that this figure of speech brings to philosophy. Since then, it will be taken as scope and analysis s instruments the works of two contemporary philosophers, Paul Ricoeur and Jacques Derrida, for their relevant contributions to the study of this matter. At the beginning, it will be presented how hermeneutics propose to think metaphor beyond rhetorical stylization and the limits that set her apart from philosophy s discourse, then it will be shown how the clear determination of these limits are put under suspicious by deconstruction. Therefore, by following jointly these two proposals, the work is developed by the analysis of their presuppositions, intersections points and differences.
