Digital games are part of the creative industries, which is based on value creation through ideas and creativity. This market has gained relevance due to technology development that attracted both new firms and users. The present dissertation aims to explore three themes: (1) video game market as a two-sided market; (2) the effects of characteristics and behavior of game titles on consoles sales; and (3) project management to develop digital games. Those themes were explored through three articles: the first is a literature review and a bibliometric study of the economic concepts on two-sided market, which focused at identifying main topics, research trends and avenues for futures research. The second text is an analysis on the simultaneous influence of games\' quality and exclusivity on console sales. The last one is a qualitative, multiple-case study to understand, explore and suggest improvements to game project management in the Brazilian market. Findings include: (1) the main authors and topics, trends and developments, from and avenues for future research; (2) combinations of quality and exclusivity can affect console sales either positively or negatively, (3) quality has a predominant effect on sales over games non-exclusivity; and (4) the use of agile methodologies and Design Thinking are diffused among game developers. / Sem resumo.

Desta forma apresenta-se: Uma proposta para o ensino de Química em busca da superação dos obstáculos epistemológicos que objetiva utilizar mapas conceituais e modelos, como estratégias de proposição de situações-problemas, visando superar os obstáculos epistemológicos verificados no ensino dos conceitos correlatos ao estudo das Ligações Químicas. O referencial teórico aporta-se na Epistemologia de Gaston Bachelard e suas proposições para o conceito de obstáculo epistemológico. A metodologia adotada aproxima-se da pesquisa-ação (André, 2008) com abordagem qualitativa e a coleta de dados se deu através da organização e desenvolvimento de uma Unidade Didática, no qual foram realizados 09 (nove) encontros. Estes ocorreram nos meses de agosto a outubro de 2013 com uma turma de primeiro ano- Ensino Médio Politécnico. A análise dos dados se deu de forma descritiva (Lüdke e André, 2012), para as atividades didáticas desenvolvidas durante a Unidade Didática e pela Análise Textual Discursiva (Moraes, 2003) para analise das impressões produzidas nos sujeitos investigados. Os resultados demonstram que o trabalho desenvolvido contribuiu para o crescimento do grupo investigado, estimulando o aprendizado e o interesse pela disciplina de Química, o que leva a indicar que a melhoria do ensino no âmbito escolar requer do professor ressignificar o conhecimento científico através de metodologias inovadoras, estimulando os alunos a participar, ativamente, na construção de sua aprendizagem. Como consequência tem-se a superação dos obstáculos epistemológicos e a efetivação da construção do espírito científico como nos ensina BACHELARD (1996). / This work is the result of an investigation into his own teaching practice in which he noted the need to develop methodologies that emphasize active student involvement, overcoming their passivity and arousing interest in the concepts taught in the classroom. Thus presents: A proposal for the teaching of chemistry in the effort to overcome the epistemological obstacles that aims to use conceptual maps and models, propose strategies for problem situations, aiming to overcome the epistemological obstacles checked in teaching concepts related to the study of Chemical Bonds. The theoretical framework brings in the Epistemology of Gaston Bachelard and his propositions to the concept of epistemological obstacle. The methodology adopted approaches of action research (Andre, 2008) with a qualitative approach and data collection occurred through the organization and development of didactic unit, in which nine (09) meetings were held. These occurred in the months from August to October 2013 with a class of first year-Polytechnic High School. The analysis of data was descriptively (Lüdke and Andre, 2012), for didactic activities during the Didactic Unit and the Textual Discourse Analysis (Moraes, 2003) to analyze the prints from the subjects investigated. The results demonstrate that the work contributed to the growth of the group investigated, stimulating learning and interest in the subject of chemistry, which leads to indicate that the improvement of teaching in schools requires the teacher to reframe scientific knowledge through innovative methodologies by encouraging students to participate actively in the construction of their learning. As a result one has to overcome the epistemological obstacles effecting the construction and the scientific spirit teaches us how Bachelard (1996).

Nouvelles méthodes de synthèse pour la formation de liaisons C(aryl)-hétéroatome et C(aryl)-C par réactions de substitution nucléophile aromatique et vinylique / New Synthetic Methods for the Creation of C(aryl)-Heteroatom and C(aryl)-C Bonds Through Nucleophilic Aromatic and Vinylic Substitutions

L'objectif central de notre thèse de doctorat visait l'utilisation d'halogénures d'aryles en tant qu'électrophiles dans des réactions de substitution nucléophile aromatique (SNAr). D'abord, nous avons cherché à former des liaisons C(aryl) hétéroatome par réaction entre des nucléophiles hétéroatomiques et des halogénures d'aryles substitués par des groupements électro-attracteurs. Les résultats de cette étude ont été comparés à des incohérences relevées dans la littérature et montrent que l'ordre de réactivité d'halogénures d'aryles communément accepté n'est pas toujours respecté. Un effet positif a été observé par l'ajout de 2,2,6,6-tétraméthyl-3,5-heptanedione pour l'arylation de phénols avec des halogénures d'aryles substitués par des groupements électro-donneurs, ce qui en fait la première méthode capable de générer des diaryléthers par cette voie réactionnelle sans ajout de catalyseurs métalliques. Ensuite, nous avons mis au point une réaction générale d'± arylation de cétones aromatiques avec des halogénures d'aryles dans des conditions réactionnelles douces. L'utilisation du t-BuOK, une base inorganique capable de transferts mono-électroniques, et de DMF comme additif permet la synthèse d'±-arylcétones avec d'excellents rendements. Cette méthode a été appliquée à la synthèse d'hétérocycles fusionnés et de (Z)-tamoxifène, des molécules montrant une activité biologique. Une étude mécanistique a montré que l'anion carbamoyle du DMF est impliqué dans une étape clé de transfert mono-électronique avec des halogénures d'aryles. Nous avons également appliqué cette méthode à la substitution nucléophile vinylique de ″-halostyrènes. Bien que des précédents de la littérature font état de mécanismes ioniques pour les réactions de ces substrats, nos résultats expérimentaux supportent un mécanisme radicalaire. Enfin, nous avons tenté de mettre au point le premier protocole permettant la synthèse de biaryles dissymétriques au départ d'halogénures d'aryles et de triarylbismuths(III) via une catalyse par des sels de cuivre. Malgré le fait que de nombreux ligands bidentates et tétradentates ont été testés, les faibles rendements obtenus font que les conditions réactionnelles demeurent à optimiser. Globalement, nous avons donc apporté une contribution en ce qui concerne la détermination de la frontière expérimentale entre la SNAr et la catalyse métallique, la fonctionnalisation en ± de cétones aromatiques et la synthèse de biaryles dissymétriques par réactions de couplages croisés de triarylbismuths catalysées au cuivre. / The primary objective of our doctoral research was centered on the use of aryl halides as electrophiles for nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr). First, we tried to create C(aryl)−heteroatom bonds by reacting heteroatom nucleophiles with aryl halides substituted by electron-withdrawing groups. The results of this study were compared with inconsistencies found in the literature and show that the expected order of reactivity of aryl halides is not always observed. A beneficial effect was observed by adding 2,2,6,6-tetramethylheptane-3,5-dione to the reaction of phenols and aryl halides substituted by electron-donating groups in what is the first method allowing the synthesis of diarylethers without added metal catalysts by this pathway. Second, we developed a general α-arylation reaction of aryl ketones with aryl halides under mild reaction conditions. Use of KOt-Bu, an inorganic base capable of single-electron transfer, and DMF as additive enables the synthesis of α-arylketones in excellent yields. This method was applied to the synthesis of fused heterocycles and (Z) tamoxifen, molecules possessing biological activity. A mechanistic study showed that the carbamoyl anion of DMF is involved in a single-electron transfer reaction with aryl halides as the key step of the mechanism. We next applied this method to the nucleophilic vinylic substitution of β-halogenostyrenes. While literature precedents suggest ionic mechanisms for reactions involving these substrates, we obtained experimental evidence suggesting a radical mechanism. Third, we tried to develop the first protocol enabling the copper-catalyzed synthesis of unsymmetrical biaryls starting from aryl halides and triarylbismuthanes(III). Although many bidentate and tetradentated ligands were tested, further optimization is required in order to develop a general method, as only low yields are obtained. Globally, we have contributed to the determination of the experimental frontier between SNAr and metallic catalysis, to the α-functionnalization of aryl ketones and to the synthesis of biaryls through copper-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of triarylbismuths.

An Exploratory Study on the Relationship between Software Management and IT Service Management

Aims and Objectives: Information Technology (IT) service management has gained importance in the recent years. A service is a means of delivering value to the customers by facilitating outcomes, which customers want to achieve without ownership of the specific costs and risks. As IT services’ efficient execution revolves around its implementation through software management, the need for understanding the relationship between IT service management and software management has become crucial. The aim of this thesis is to explore this relationship. Methodology: We designed this thesis study as an exploratory study. First, a systematic literature review was conducted to explore the role of software engineering in IT service management and the interconnection between them. Then, we performed a case study at Telenor Sweden AB by conducting interviews in order to further investigate the intersecting elements between ITIL v3 Framework, which is an international standard for IT service management and software engineering considering ISO/IEC 12207 standard on software processes. Results: The outcome of this thesis is a mapping between IT service management and software engineering considering ISO/IEC 12207 for software engineering processes and ITIL V3 Framework for IT service management. These mappings have been recommended to use by the case company to incorporate ‘in-house’ software models in line with ITIL V3 Framework implementation. Conclusion: Though ITIL V3 framework gives in depth guidelines for IT Service Management, it does not give sufficient details for managing applications that constitute IT Services. As ITIL V3 is a framework, it is flexible to accommodate the software engineering processes defined in ISO/IEC 12207 standard. Though we brought three-way relationship between ITIL V3, ISO/IEC 12207 and case company’s software process models, it is found out that replacing existing models with ISO/IEC 12207 shall be difficult as it would be two new standards for the employees. The in house software process models are already inspired from standards. In this thesis, we provide a mapping between ITIL V3 and inhouse models of the case company to support the implementation of ITIL V3 for managing software applications to realize IT Services. / The thesis gives mapping between ITIL V3 Framework and ISO/IEC 12207 Software Engineering processes to incorporate them in integrated Service Management and Software Management / +46762509249

L’objectif recherché par cette étude est de définir l'état des lieux de l'aménagement (normativisation) de la langue amazighe et de son enseignement au Maroc, de manière à montrer si les méthodes adoptées et les réalisations concrétisées contribuent à la revitalisation de cette langue, très longtemps minorée et cantonnée dans l’oralité, mais qui connaît depuis peu un "important" regain d'intérêt tant de la société que de l'Etat. Ce qui lui confère un nouveau statut, renforcé par la toute récente officialisation que lui a accordée la nouvelle constitution du pays (juillet 2011).Notre problématique a été formulée ainsi : "Normativisation et enseignement de la langue amazighe au Maroc : état des lieux, méthodes et réalisations". Le corpus que nous avons soumis à l'analyse est constitué de documents divers conçus jusqu’à présent par différentes instances éducatives en faveur de l’enseignement/apprentissage de l'amazighe récemment intégré au système éducatif marocain. Nous avons analysé des références institutionnelles, des outils pédagogiques et didactiques (orientations pédagogiques officielles, curricula, ouvrages de références en linguistique et en didactique, manuels scolaires, modules de formation, rapports d'inspection, fiches pédagogiques, …).Nous avons, par ailleurs, mené une enquête de terrain visant à (i) consulter les principaux acteurs éducatifs, (ii) effectuer des observations de classes amazighes dans les différents niveaux où la langue est enseignée pour étudier l’impact des méthodes adoptées.En somme, l'étude a révélé des acquis non négligeables, mais encore perfectibles, pour ce qui concerne l'aménagement et l'enseignement de la langue amazighe au Maroc. Toutefois, son implantation dans les différents domaines de la vie publique demeure problématique pour des raisons notamment sociopolitiques. / The present study aims at defining the inventory of the amazighe language planning (standardization) and its teaching in Morocco, with a view to showing if the adopted methods and the attained achievements contribute to the revitalization of this language which has long been undervalued and confined to orality, but which has recently enjoyed “significant" renewed interest both from the society and the State. This newly conferred status has been reinforced by its very recent officialization granted by the new constitution of the country (July 2011).The research issue has been framed as follows: " Standardization and teaching of the Amazighe language in Morocco: methods, inventory and achievements".The corpus we have submitted for analysis consists of various documents designed so far by various educational authorities in favour of teaching/training of the amazighe language which has recently been integrated into the Moroccan education system. We analyzed institutional references, educational and didactic tools (official teaching guidelines, teaching methodologies, curricula, reference books in linguistics, school handbooks, training modules, surveys, pedagogical material, teaching cards …).In addition, we carried out a field survey aiming at consulting the main educational actors, and conducting classroom observations at the various levels where amazighe is taught to study the impact of the adopted methods.All in all, the study has revealed significant, yet still perfectible achievements, concerning the standardization and the teaching of amazighe in Morocco. However, its establishment in the various fields of the public life still remains problematic notably for socio-political reasons.

The scientific software development has particularities that, frequently, differ from usual rules in commercial software production. The emerging requirements that appear while the development process is running, needs for often communication between stakeholders (researchers) and developers, and necessary ways to customize the process, make this kind of software building activity more iterative than conventional. Agile methodologies for software development arise as alternatives for prescriptive methods and, as analyzed in this research, have the answer for how to build software in dynamics environments. In this work is proposed a management method for the scientific software development process. The agile methodologies Scrum and Extreme Programming were tailored to reach the peculiarity of scientific process, and the method definition. The model was applied in real projects in a small business company for validation and, through a qualitative analysis, the improvement of the development process could be checked. / O desenvolvimento de software científico possui particularidades que, frequentemente, diferem das regras comumente utilizadas na produção de softwares comerciais. Novos requisitos que surgem no decorrer do desenvolvimento, necessidades de comunicação constante com os stakeholders (pesquisadores) e adaptação nos processos fazem da produção desse tipo software uma atividade mais interativa do que o convencional. Metodologias ágeis para desenvolvimento de software surgem como alternativas aos métodos planejados ou prescritivos e, como analisado, atendem às carências decorrentes da elaboração de softwares em ambientes dinâmicos. Neste trabalho, é proposto um método de gestão para o processo de desenvolvimento de software científico. Na definição do método, combinaram-se as metodologias ágeis Scrum e Extreme Programming levando-se em consideração as características do processo científico. O método foi aplicado em projetos reais de uma microempresa de base tecnológica para sua validação e, através de uma análise qualitativa, pode-se verificar a melhoria dos processos de desenvolvimento da empresa.

Controle social: uma proposta de alteração metodológica para o índice de transparência pública / Social control: a proposition for the methodology improvement of the public sector transparency index

The transparency in the public sector, through the information access is consolidated in the principles of democratic rights that concedes to the citizens the power to participate, suggest and supervise the government actions. Therefore, the initiatives that aim to improve the mechanism of publicizing and assessing this subject and its specificities had gain prominence in the context of fomenting the social control and the best practices of public management, as the society and the government are more aware of the importance of this subject and its potential of explaining. In this matter, this dissertation aimed to elaborate a proposition to measure the index of public transparency in order to improve it. So, for that matter, a descriptive and bibliographic research was conducted in order to support the propositions of this study. Using the internet research, it was possible to map the assessment systems and the international and national experiences about this subject, identifying the ones that had parameters related to the method of this study's object, and the experiences that were more relevant in the public sector transparency. The primary sample had 17 methods and the final one had 12, from which 9 were national and 3 were international. Then, 3 different questionnaires were elaborated with open questions that were sent through e-mail to 3 respondents in different public agencies. Each participant answered a questionnaire that was created considering a detailed methodology used by each one and with the usage of the internet research. The objective of those instruments were, firstly, to indentify other contributions about assessment tools to evaluate the public transparency that surpass what the law estabilishes and, secondly, to verify difficulties and advantages in each system. Through the method of qualitative analysis, using the application of the concept analysis technique, it was possible to describe, identify and interpretate the following categories: assessment criterions, social participation, usability and other important information and primary aspects about the best practices in public transparency. The result of the research generated a matrix to measure the index of the public transparency. Moreover, this study created a information check-list protocol, a synoptic assessment matrix and a scale of result's categorization. Therefore, it was possible to make a specific diagnose about criterions and subcriterions of the methodology. In conclusion, it may be said that the improvement of the tools for evaluation and supervision of public resources appplication will make possible to increase the government transparency in order to strenghten the democracy and to foment the social control. / A transparência pública, por meio do acesso à informação, está consubstanciada no princípio democrático de direito, o qual concede ao cidadão o poder de participar, alvitrar e fiscalizar as ações governamentais. Em vista disso, inciativas que visem aperfeiçoar mecanismos de publicização e avaliação acerca do assunto e de suas especificidades, têm ganhado destaque no contexto de fomento ao controle social e de boas práticas em gestão pública, porquanto a sociedade e os governos estão cada vez mais despertos da importância do tema e de seu potencial poder explicativo. Nesse viés, esta dissertação teve como escopo elaborar uma propositura para mensuração do índice de transparência pública a fim de aperfeiçoá-lo. Para tal desiderato, foi necessário realizar uma pesquisa descritiva e bibliográfica, sendo que esta serviu de suporte literário para solidificar as formulações deste estudo. Por meio da busca na web, mapeou-se as sistemáticas de avalição, à luz de experiências nacionais e internacionais, acerca do tema, identificando as que possuíam parâmetros correlatos à metodologia objeto deste estudo, assim como as que se destacavam na análise da transparência pública. A amostra inicial contou com 17 metodologias e a final com 12, das quais 9 em nível nacional e 3 em nível internacional. Logo após, elaborou-se três questionários distintos, com perguntas abertas, que foram enviados, por e-mail, a três respondentes de diferentes órgãos. Cada participante respondeu a um questionário, o qual foi sistematizado consoante a análise pormenorizada da metodologia vivenciada por cada um, como também pelo prévio conhecimento obtido com as pesquisas na web. O objetivo desses instrumentos foi, além de identificar outras contribuições sobre mecanismos de avaliação da transparência pública que estejam aquém ou além do que a lei determinar, verificar possíveis dificuldades enfrentadas em cada sistemática e as vantagens de utilizá-la. Mediante análise qualitativa, com a aplicação da técnica de análise de conteúdo, foi possível descrever, identificar e interpretar, a partir das categorizações: critérios de avaliação, participação social, usabilidade e outras informações relevantes, aspectos primordiais sobre boas práticas em transparência pública. O resultado de todos esses escrutínios culminou em uma matriz para mensuração do índice de transparência pública. Em complementação a ela, elaborou-se um protocolo de conferência de informações, uma matriz sinóptica de avaliação e uma escala de caracterização de resultados. Também foi possível realizar um diagnóstico específico acerca da metodologia no que concerne aos seus critérios e subcritérios. Conclui-se que o aperfeiçoamento de técnicas de avaliação e acompanhamento da aplicação de recursos públicos possibilitará aumentar a transparência governamental, com vistas a avigorar a democracia e fomentar o controle social.

Technological innovations have gradually transforming education, renewing concepts, paradigms, change actions that are reflected in the profile of contemporary society. The qualification of education motivated the objective of this research that addresses the possibilities of use of Information and Communication Technology Network, in the educational processes of the practices of teachers of the Federal Institute Farroupilha. - Campus São Vicente do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. The construction of the theoretical basis was established by authors who address the need and importance of teacher training to develop skills, abilities and attitudes to mediate the construction of knowledge of a generation that requires personal and professional adjustments. The qualitative research was supported in the action research approach, consisting in classroom training workshops, structured from information obtained by the teachers themselves, through an initial survey. In these capacities, realized through our analysis and the participants, they are aware of the need for the use of technology in education, and are eager and excited to add new features to their methodologies, so these meetings achieved significant results in a joint building knowledge. Moreover, as the final product of this investigative study of Educational Technologies in Management Online Network, the Professional Masters in Educational Technology Network, we produce educational material, form of e-book, available in the network, to expand these perceptions collectively built with the domestic academic community and outside the Campus. / As inovações tecnológicas vêm, gradativamente, transformando a educação, renovando conceitos, paradigmas, mudanças de ações que estão refletidas no perfil da sociedade contemporânea. A qualificação da educação profissional motivou o objetivo dessa pesquisa que aborda as possibilidades de utilização das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação em Rede, nos processos educacionais das práticas dos professores do Instituto Federal Farroupilha Campus São Vicente do Sul, no Rio Grande do Sul. A construção da base teórica foi estabelecida por autores que abordam a necessidade e importância da formação de professores para que desenvolvam competências, habilidades e atitudes para mediarem a construção do conhecimento de uma geração que exige adequações pessoais e profissionais. A investigação qualitativa, apoiou-se na abordagem da pesquisa-ação, constituída em oficinas presenciais de capacitação, estruturadas a partir de informações obtidas pelos próprios docentes, através de uma pesquisa inicial realizada. Nessas capacitações, percebemos, através de análises nossas e dos participantes, que eles têm consciência da necessidade do uso das tecnologias na educação, e estão ansiosos e entusiasmados por acrescentar novidades às suas metodologias, por isso estes encontros obtiveram resultados significativos, numa construção conjunta de conhecimento. Além disso, como produto final deste estudo investigativo da linha de Gestão em Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede, no Mestrado Profissional em Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede, produzimos um material didático, em forma de e-book, disponibilizado em rede, para expandir estas percepções construídas coletivamente com a comunidade acadêmica interna e também externa ao Campus.
