Schaarschmidt, Nadine, Dietsch, Sindy, Köhler, Thomas 14 December 2012 (has links) (PDF)

Attracting Digital Native Students Through Digital Marketing

Vennberg, Karin January 2018 (has links)
As the world economies have shifted from being production-based to knowledge-based each country has to develop their technologically literate workforces to stay globally competitive. A low interest in the engineering profession among younger students has caused insufficient support for the workforce demand. Marketers must adapt their efforts to recruiting young people even before they attend college as this focused cohort tend to make career plans early. As today’s teenagers have been using digital media constantly since they grew up, they are frequently called digital natives. They perceive social networking sites, where they can communicate with friends and exchange information with people all over the world, as essential parts of their lives. This makes social networks great promotional tools, as digital natives share experiences and opinions about products and services online, creating a kind of electronic word-of-mouth, which is characterized as the future of social media marketing communications. To investigate in what ways digital natives’ absorb online marketing, the purpose of this research is to provide a better understanding of how technical high schools can address digital marketing activities to attract more students. The thesis was compiled after inquiries from the Swedish nationwide senior high school Teknikcollege, and it is conducted as a quantitative explanatory study, where primary data was collected through an online questionnaire distributed among junior high school students in Luleå and Överkalix. A total of 239 answers were collected and 182 answers were analyzed using statistical techniques. The results suggested that senior high schools should focus their online marketing efforts on visual social media channels, and that people based trust is the most important factor when using the peripheral route to persuade digital natives.

Sociální sítě pohledem vybraných generací / Social media in a perspective of chosen generations

Renčová, Michaela January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis Social media in a perspective of chosen generations covers the topic of differences in the use of social networks between generation X and generation Y. The aim of the thesis is to find out if there exist differences in the use of social networks between generation X and generation Y. Furthermore, the subject of the research is to explore the motivation of generation X and generation Y for using specific social networks and the needs they satisfy through social networks. The first part of the thesis consists of introduction of theoretical concepts and terms related to the theme of the thesis. Specifically, the uses and gratifications theory is defined, followed by the concept of active audience and the terms digital immigrants and digital natives. The following chapter presents characteristics of generation X and generation Y and the specifics of social networks. The methodological part of the thesis describes methods used in the research. For the research I chose a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Within the practical part of the thesis, a qualitative research was carried out through in-depth interviews. The second part of the research was carried out in the form of a quantitative questionnaire survey. In conclusion, the outcomes of both studies are summed up...

Taking the parents and the educator as immigrant and the digital children as native of the group of 1º Year of EF I, a private school education, in São Bernardo do Campo. It is a quantitative research in the measure where it studies the frequency with that the data appear between the group of participants and qualitative a time that appeals to the strategies of collection of data such as: wheel of colloquy with the students; questionnaire, e-mails and group of quarrel with the parents (father or mother); questionnaire, e-mails and interviews with the teacher. And as the theoretical results of this work for authors such as: BABIN & KOULOUMDJIAN (1989); KEYS & SETZER (1980); HUIZINGA (2001); LÈVY (1993; 1996; 1999); KENSKY (2003; 2007); MORAN (1987; 2007); PAPERT (2008); BRAVE (2002); SANCHO (1998); QUEIROZ (1999), SÁ (2001) that they had contributed in the measure where they make possible a conversation between its ideas, conceptions and with the voices of the participants of the research. The results go to understanding what the computer for the students is related to the relation between: infancy, experience, playfulness as elements for the construction of the knowledge; for the parents a possibility still in adaptation, but that it requires orientation; e for the teacher still the technology seems still to be in the limits of the field of the resistance, probably in result of the incongruity between qualification and politics of teaching work.

Mécanismes d'activation du récepteur tyrosine kinase MET par son ligand l'HGF/SF : rôles des domaines N et K1 / MET receptor activation mechanisms by HGF/SF : new insights about N and K1 domains contribution

Simonneau, Claire 25 September 2015 (has links)
Hepatocyte Growth Factor/Scatter Factor (HGF/SF) and its receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) MET play an essential role in embryogenesis, tissue regeneration and angiogenesis. As observed for many others RTK, MET is also strongly involved in tumor progression and invasion mechanisms. Although numerous biological and structural approaches have been focused on the molecular processes leading to MET activation by HGF/SF, the HGF/SF-MET interaction framework remains only partially understood due to the complexity of the multivalent ligand-receptor binding events.NK1, a naturally occurring splice variant of HGF/SF, comprising the N-terminal part and the first kringle domain (K1) of HGF/SF, exhibits a partial agonistic activity toward MET. Indeed, in presence of heparan sulfates, NK1 self-associates into a “head-to-tail” dimer and is considered as the minimal structural module able to trigger MET dimerization and activation. Nevertheless, the individual role of N and K1 domains in the dimerization/activation of MET remain elusive.Stimulated by the conviction that monomeric N and K1 domains are not suitable for studying the functioning of HGF/SF-MET, we produced, by total chemical synthesis, biotinylated analogs of the N and K1 domains (NB and K1B). By combining with streptavidin (S), we engineered the semisynthetic constructs NB/S and K1B/S in order to determine the biological properties of these new multivalent architectures of N and K1 domains. In vitro, as observed with HGF/SF or NK1, we show that the K1B/S complex is able to fully activate MET signaling cascades to promote scattering, morphogenesis and survival phenotypes in various cell types. Even more, the K1B/S complex stimulates angiogenesis in vivo and, when injected systemically, triggers MET signaling in the liver. The use of this K1B/S complex allows us to demonstrate that two K1 domains, correctly assembled and oriented, constitute the minimal unit for sufficient MET activation. In contrast, first in vitro data have demonstrated that NB/S complex does not bind directly MET as previously thought, but rather, uses heparan sulfates as a molecular bridge. We envision these new structural configurations serving as a template for both the rational design of potent MET agonists (e.g. using K1B/S for regenerative therapies) and antagonists (e.g. using NB/S for targeted cancer therapies).

Early students and/or with gifted behavior (PCD) are part of the target audience of Special Education. Paisagem no tempo: vilas litorâneas paulistas / Landscapes in time: the São Paulo coast villages.

Rubens Ramos Gianesella 07 April 2008 (has links)
The disposition of the population, villages and cities on the Brazilian coast from the interdependence of the Colony to the European commercial expansion was always seen thru history. Consequently, the studies based on the structural and economical aspects of the modern age, show these spaces as the product of the cultural dominant groups. This Masters degree theory tries to change the focus of these analyses once it investigates the social specific contexts of the urban areas from the first colony events. As support for this research the coastal cities chosen from the current state of São Paulo were: São Vicente, Santos, Cananéia, Iguape, São Sebastião e Ubatuba. From the multidiscipline researches, among the Sciences of Urbanism, History, Arqueology, Geography, Sociology and Anthropology the investigations prove the contribution from the Natives on the occupation process not only in the villages but also in all urban areas. Present a few centuries before the European arrived; they elected the Atlantic front as their habitat, establishing the places where they would live in straight harmony with the natural environment. These choices had direct influence in the future urban areas. The same places, which were chosen before from the tribes or local groups, would in sequence have the European architectural roots. Therefore the new spaces are the product of the cultural meeting between Europeans and natives. The perceptions of affection that people have with in relation with the places to the natives, demonstrated that it could not only translate the European culture. After all, small groups of whites (or individuals) were accepted by thousands of natives. Interacting culturally they adapted and survived. The new social scenery will definitely mold the image of these groups. The observation of places, environmental scenes and the design and images during the length of time revealed during the research the evidences of its simplicity. A fact in the villages studied symbolizes the enlace of social lines: the articulation of the cathedral with the continuity of direita street. The closeness of the originating groups was obtained from the data elaborated by the Military Engineer João da Costa Ferreira and the collaborators at the end of the eighteenth century. Another resource was used: the research from the Geographic And Geological Commission from the State of São Paulo, from the beginning of the twentieth century.

Adrianzén-Sandoval, Laura January 2016 (has links)
