Att skapa ett webbarkiv : en analys av tre svenska initiativ / Creating a web archive : an analysis of three Swedish initiatives

Sarén Lundahl, Julia January 2023 (has links)
Only a few extensive web archiving projects have been conducted in the Swedish cultural heritage sector with the goal of preserving digital cultural heritage and advancing research. This thesis aims to acquire knowledge on how such projects can be executed by analyzing three different projects of that kind. By conducting four qualitative interviews with project representatives, this thesis investigates the methods used to collect and make digital cultural heritage accessible. The benefits and drawbacks of different approaches and solutions are discussed, drawing on the archival paradigm and post-custodial theory. Furthermore, the thesis addresses the most significant challenges in the cultural heritage sector for digital preservation, including technical obstacles, limited resources, insufficient expertise, and stakeholder engagement. By showcasing experiences from web archiving projects, this thesis aspires to enhance the field and offer valuable insights into the effective preservation of digital cultural heritage.

Lufstridskrafters utnyttjande i kriget i Ukraina : En teoriprövande fallstudie av Arash Pashakhanlou och Shaun Clarkes luftmaktsteorier.

Bedinger, Jesper January 2023 (has links)

Markström, Marika January 2023 (has links)

Van Wyk, Griffel January 2014 (has links)
The theological theme missio Dei functions increasingly as the paradigm for local faith communities to renew the self-understanding of their identity and purpose in a changing world. There is, therefore, great interest in theological publications and religious practices regarding the so-called missional church. The missio Dei does not only have implications for the local faith community to be missional, but also for the way in which these faith communities should act in relation to each other in light of their new self-understanding. The missio Dei should, therefore, also shape the relationship between faith communities. This is already happening, especially in missional church-planting networks, but these networks have not thoroughly been grounded theologically or researched empirically in the light of the missio Dei. The purpose of this study is to develop a Scriptural matrix for the establishment of the relationship between faith communities in light of the missio Dei. The research is done by way of the practical theological methodology of Gerben Heitink (1999). * The first section of this study is a hermeneutic process, seeking to put the current state of affairs into perspective and develop Scriptural principles. Chapter 2 of the hermeneutic inquiry seeks to understand the way in which the missio Dei functions in existing literature on the role of the missio Dei in the relationship between faith communities. Literature on existing missional networks are also included. In Chapter 3, an understanding is developed of the role of the Trinity in the missio Dei and of the fact that its elements should also be present in the relationship between faith communities that are participating in the missio Dei. This is done by way of grammatical-historical exegesis of John 17. Chapter 2, therefore, helps to understand what needs to be changed, and Chapter 3 helps to understand the preferred practice. * The second section involves an empirical research in Chapter 4 of four missional networks in the United States of America and in Canada to determine the role of the missio Dei in the practice of those networks. These networks are Redeemer City to City, Church Innovations, Acts 29 and Forge Canada. * The third section is the strategic moment and involves the integration of the research results from Chapters 2, 3 and 4 in a practice theory. In Chapter 5, a practise-theory matrix is eventually developed for the establishment of the relationship between faith communities in light of the missio Dei. This matrix may also have many useful applications, ranging from being used as an instrument for measuring and developing the missionality of local faith communities to the evaluation or even development of missional networks. The conclusion of the study is that the degree of insight into the role of the Trinity in the missio Dei determines the extent to which faith communities and missional networks function missionally. The nature, boundaries, function and purpose of the unity of the Persons of the Trinity determine the nature, boundaries, function and purpose of the unity of missional communities of faith in their relationship with each other. The better a faith community's understanding is of the role of the Trinity in the missio Dei, the better that faith community will be able to function missionally with other faith communities. The matrix that has been developed helps the assessment, adjustment, establishment and prediction of the effectiveness of missional relationships between faith communities. / PhD (Pastoral Studies), North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2014

The relationship between absenteeism and on site employer sponsored childcare

Anderson, Bronwyn 07 1900 (has links)
As the literature on work–family conflict grows and absenteeism increasingly comes into the spotlight, one cannot help but ask the question: “What is an acceptable absenteeism rate and how can an organisation control and manage absenteeism?” With current absenteeism rates as high as 12% and with an estimated R12 million lost per annum because of absenteeism, the idea of an on-site employer-sponsored childcare facility seems viable. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between absenteeism and on-site employer- sponsored childcare. The following dimensions of absenteeism will be examined over a period of a year: absence frequency, absence intensity, attitudinal absence and medical absence. The results of two companies, one with a facility and one without, will then be compared in order to establish the relationship between absenteeism and an on-site facility. To date, evidence remains mixed and the ongoing challenge of establishing real return on equity remains a major barrier to the support of on-site employer-sponsored childcare. / Industrial & Organisational Psychology / M. Lexical representations in children who stutter: evidence using a gating paradigm

Hudson, Sarah Ann 26 October 2010 (has links)
This thesis investigated lexical representations of children who stutter (CWS) and children who do not stutter (CWNS) using a duration-blocked gating task. This thesis tested the hypothesis that children who stutter have underspecified phonological representations for words, are less sensitive to incremental and segmental information for lexical items, and therefore require more acoustic-phonetic information to activate words in their lexicon. Pilot data collected from fourteen children (ages 5;6 to 10;1): 7 CWS and 7 CWNS matched on age were included in this thesis. Results showed that children in both talker groups required relatively equal amounts of acoustic-phonetic information to identify target words. A regression model revealed that age in months predicted performance on the gating task for CWNS, but that age in months did not predict performance on the gating task for CWS suggesting a difference in the developmental maturity of lexical representations in CWS. Possible conclusions from these pilot data are presented along with recommendations for future research. / text

H.P. Lovecraft : étude comparative de récits des origines

Lavoie Montemiglio, Jean-Carlo 08 1900 (has links)
Throughout the 20th century and until now, the different Lovecraft commentators have agreed on one point: the originality of his oeuvre. Impossible to pigeonhole in a specific literary genre, and open to many layers of interpretation, it has been analysed both from a psychoanalytic angle and from a philosophical and scientific angle. However, the purely aesthetic dimension seems to have been forgotten, possibly through negligence. This dissertation proposes an investigation of the aesthetic aspect of Lovecraft’s oeuvre. Our research hypothesis rests on the obvious, yet rarely elaborated upon by critics, analogies between it and the cosmogonical aesthetics in Antiquity. First, we shall position Lovecraft’s work within its literary context, e.g. by establishing its evident connection to such authors as J.R.R. Tolkien and Arthur Conan Doyle, but also by underlining the subtler differences that distinguish it from other writers such as H.G. Wells and William Hope Hodgson. Then, we will put into perspective the elements that logically separate it from Hebrew cosmogony and from the theological and philosophical tradition it inaugurates, as crystallized in Dante’s Divine Comedy, notably. Finally, we intend to demonstrate, based on a close comparison of similar motifs present in Lovecraft’s novella, At the Mountains of Madness and in Hesiod’s poem, Theogony, a revelatory parallel between their respective aesthetics; aesthetics that spring from historically and essentially distinct paradigms of reality, but which are not opposed or contradictory.

Cognitive Evaluation Theory Applied to Nonhuman Subjects

Hafer, Donald G. 08 1900 (has links)
The Cognitive Evaluation Theory explains the outcomes of studies employing Deci's paradigm, but only when used post hoc. A basic assumption is that extrinsic rewards always increase intrinsic motivation for nonhuman subjects. Deci's paradigm was modified for use with 22 rats to test this assumption. Running in an exercise wheel was the intrinsically motivated activity studied. ANCOVA revealed that external rewards increased intrinsic interest on the first day following the cessation of reinforcement (F = 8.32), but on two subsequent days and again a week later, no significant differences between the reward and control groups were evident (F = .29; F = .33; F = 3.70). The assumption was not supported. It was demonstrated that repeated posttest measures are necessary to avoid basing conclusions upon one point along the extinction continuum.
