Déploiement de la qualité de vie au travail chez les sous-traitants des grands-groupes / Deployment of Quality of Work Life among Subcontractors of Large GroupsEddial, Hajar 22 November 2016 (has links)
The quality of work life is an HR trend, frequently discussed in uncertain situations to deal with change. It can be defined as a multitude of positive connections that create better professional and interprofessional relationships. The action on quality of work life allows better relation between contractors and subcontractors which result in better performance. How donors of orders manage to deploy quality of work life among their subcontractors? The answer is the thread of the empirical exploration. Indeed, a pilot case study with the Orange group helps develop the difficulties of deployment. This thesis offers solutions including a theoretical model based on a through exchange with Orange and its partners which present a simplified implementation with the active participation of subcontractors. Two other complementary case studies help to deepen the expectations of subcontractors and objectives of contractors. The results show that through the theory of relational coordination, contractors could ( instead of deploying the quality of work life ), co- build and involve subcontractors in the implementation of the different approaches allowing the establishment of positive relationships at work and that both partners should aim to Orientation Knowledge Management.

Testing the Job Demands-Resources Model on nursesNell, Elzette 04 1900 (has links)
Thesis (MCom)--Stellenbosch University, 2015. / ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The South African health care system is tormented by various challenges ranging from income inequalities, extreme resource scarcities to discrimination and violence. This makes the health care industry a tough work environment for health care personnel to operate in. South Africa has experienced the loss of thousands of nurses over the past decade, either emigrating or leaving the nursing profession altogether (Tshitangano, 2013). Consequently, this trend drew the attention to the well-being of nurses in South Africa.
The primary objective of this study was to investigate the level of work engagement among private sector nurses in the Western Cape, together with their levels of job demands, job resources, personal resources, performance and job crafting. This was done using the Job Demands-Resources model (JD-R) of work engagement. The comprehensive JD-R model was tested and the validity of the proposed relationships between the constructs was examined. Moreover, additional paths in the model were proposed and tested. Managerial implications along with practical interventions were derived from the results with the aim to increase nurse well-being and retention.
An ex post facto correlational design was used to test the formulated hypotheses in this research study. Quantitative data were collected from 311 nurses employed by a private hospital group by means of non-probability convenience sampling. A self-administered paper copy survey was distributed to hospitals given that they agreed to participate in the research. The survey was voluntary, anonymous and confidential. The survey consisted of five sections and included questions from five existing questionnaires, namely, the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-17) (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003), the Job Demands-Resources Scale (Rothman, Mostert & Strydom, 2006), the Work Design Questionnaire (Morgeson & Humhprey, 2006), the Psychological Capital Self-Rated Version (PsyCap-24) (Luthans, Avolio, Avey & Norman, 2006), and the Job Crafting Scale (Tims, Bakker & Derks, 2012). In order to test the statistical significance of the hypotheses, the data were subjected to Structural Equation modelling and regression analyses.
The results indicated that the nurses experienced a high level of work engagement, and elucidated the fact that job resources, job demands, and job crafting aspects of their jobs are in need of industrial psychologist or managerial interventions.
Die Job Demands-Resources model (JD-R) of work engagement is vir hierdie doel ingespan.

An investigation into factors affecting staff turnover amongst professional staff in NGO's in MalawiMalunga, Chiku Watchman 30 June 2003 (has links)
The study set out to investigate the factors influencing turnover among professional staff in some selected NGOs in Malawi. Using qualitative and participatory methods, the study used the levels of complexity model to analyse the factors leading to the problem of staff turnover in the selected NGOs.
The main findings were that:
· Professional staff turnover was 50% within a period of 18 months across all the NGOs interviewed.
· For the professional staff, the main factors contributing to staff turnover were: ineffective organisational policies, systems and procedures; poor relationships and communication; and poor organisational values and culture.
· In addressing the problem, NGO leaders tend to concentrate on efforts to improve salaries and other monetary benefits; and training opportunities.
In order to more comprehensively address the problem of staff turnover among the professional staff however, NGO leaders must adopt a process or an Organisation Development (OD) approach. / Public Administration and Development Studies / M.A. (Development Studies)

Profissão professor : desafios e possibilidades do direito ambiental laboral frente ao mal-estar docenteWebber, Deise Vilma 25 March 2011 (has links)
Submitted by Marcelo Teixeira (mvteixeira@ucs.br) on 2014-06-04T17:13:03Z

Qualidade de vida no trabalho na administração pública federal brasileira sob a ótica institucional e dos trabalhadores / Quality of Working Life in Brazilian Federal Public Administration from institutional and workers perspectiveMelo, Áurea Maria Noronha de 24 August 2016 (has links)
Considering that critical factors of institutional sphere negatively affect workers and that workers are the visible and concrete face of services offered in response to societal needs, topromote Quality of Working Life in the institutions that are part of the Public Administration means to strengthen the capacity of the State to attain the common good. Based on the conviction that acting in a transformative way about the work context - preventive approach - is more effective and sustainable to provide welfare to workers, than the temporary withdrawalof these to participate in activities that compensates the damage caused by such context -paternalistic approach, was sought, through this study, to investigate, from institutional andworkers perspective, the perception of Quality of Working Life (QWL) and the actions takenwith this focus on institutions of Brazilian Federal Public Administration, checking theiralignment to preventive or paternalistic approach. Through field research, based onquestionnaires answered by each of the target populations, it was found that the QWL in thesurveyed institutions is medium-low. It was found that higher levels of QWL are associatedwith low physical demands, high possibility of free organization of their own work andperception of opportunity to participate in the relevant institutional decisions. Although realizedthat institutions are in a favorable way on the first two aspects, on the third there is a need for more significant changes. It was also identified that workers personal/professional characteristics has influence on how they perceive each of these three aspects. It was noticed that higher levels of QWL also relate, progressively, to the perception of accomplishment of QWL activities in the institution and the preventive character of these. In this sense, it was found that although participants have revealed conceptions predominantly consistent to preventive approach of QWL, the actions effectively developed in institutions are characterized as paternalistic. The search results reinforces the importance of carrying out institutional actions focused on QWL, particularly by adopting a preventive approach, which, based on workers demands and perceptions, seeks to reduce the factors that prevent these to experience long-term well-being in their working environment.
