Tomando como base teórica o interacionismo simbólico de Goffman e a análise do discurso francesa de Pêcheux, o trabalho se desenvolve a partir da escola prisional (2013), estendendo-se para as galerias do presídio (2016), e para acompanhamento dos grupos religiosos que atuam na instituição prisional (2017). Começando por uma descrição do contexto da pesquisa e pela consideração de pareceres de outros atores que participam do cotidiano prisional, o estudo se lança na análise do interdiscurso religioso em poemas produzidos na escola e publicados na antologia poética “Poetas da Liberdade” (2013) e culmina com a observação participante nas galerias do presídio, em que são analisados não apenas os dizeres dos acautelados, mas também a dinâmica de interação que envolve os religiosos. O resultado final é a exposição de uma complexa teia de significados construída ao longo dos capítulos, que apontam para os caminhos e possibilidades que decorrem da apropriação do discurso religioso pelos acautelados, dentro e fora dos muros da prisão. / The purpose of this research is to identify the effect of religious discourse on the process of re-signification of the self of men living in the Cataguases Prison (MG) and to analyze the impact of this re-signification on the fulfillment of the sentence and its interactions with the social groups that work in that environment. Taking the theoretical basis of Goffman's symbolic interactionism and the analysis of Pêcheux's French discourse, the work develops from the prison school (2013), extending to the galleries of the prison (2016), and to accompany the religious groups that Act in the prison institution (2017). Beginning with a description of the context of the research and the consideration of opinions of other actors who participate in prison daily life, the study is launched in the analysis of religious interdiscourse in poems produced at school and published in the poetry anthology "Poets of Freedom" (2013) and Culminates with the participant observation in the galleries of the prison, in which are analyzed not only the words of the prisioners, but also the dynamic of interaction that involves the religious. The end result is the exposition of a complex web of meanings constructed throughout the chapters, which point to the paths and possibilities that result from the appropriation of religious discourse by the prisoners inside and outside the prison walls.

This ministry has been seen since the Portuguese arrival to Brazil and as the time pass it ripens and became a well developed structure. It is obvious that it has a conspicuous work in the men s hands who have the interest in giving spiritual and emotional support to the militaries as well as to their families. The religious work has a vital importance in military life since the soldier will have the chance to have a more balanced life. We can also realize through this work that besides the job carried out by the Catholic Roman Church, a great job has been done by the Evangelical chaplains. According to the statistics, the number of evangelical soldiers has been growing in an outstanding way. This research is based on parts of interviews with two Brazilian Army chaplains, a priest and a pastor who will mention the gigantic work done in this Army. The chaplain is vital in the consolidation of Brazilian Army. / Este trabalho visa investigar o trabalho do capelão Militar junto ao Exército Brasileiro. Este ministério pode ser visto desde a chegada dos portugueses ao Brasil e com o passar do tempo ele amadurece chegando hoje como uma estruturação bem desenvolvida em que fica patente que é um trabalho conspícuo nas mãos de homens que têm o interesse em apoiar espiritual e emocionalmente os militares bem como suas famílias. O trabalho religioso é de vital importância dentro da vida militar, pois, possibilitará ao soldado ter uma vida mais equilibrada. Percebe-se no decorrer desta obra que, além do trabalho realizado pela Igreja Católica Romana, tem-se realizado um ótimo trabalho pelos capelães Evangélicos, pois, segundo estatísticas levantadas o número de soldados evangélicos vem crescendo de forma acentuada. Esta pesquisa consta de partes de entrevistas feitas com dois capelães do Exército Brasileiro, um padre e um pastor que mencionarão o gigantesco trabalho exercido nesta Força Armada. O Capelão é vital na consolidação do Exército Brasileiro.

[pt] Nos últimos anos as religiões - sobretudo as evangélicas - vêm ganhado espaço no debate público no Brasil. Há representantes declaradamente religiosos no Congresso Nacional, no Supremo Tribunal Federal e nas mais variadas esferas de poder. O sistema prisional, que também está inserido na sociedade, não passou impune ao avanço religioso. Nos últimos anos religiões cristãs evangélicas ganharam espaço e protagonismo no cenário carcerário por meio da assistência religiosa - que é um direito constitucional de toda pessoa presa -. Diante desse quadro, o objetivo do presente estudo é compreender como as religiões operam e como o seu discurso ecoa no ambiente carcerário, dados os limites constitucionais impostos pela Constituição Federal de 1988 e demais ordenamentos jurídicos nacionais e internacionais. A pesquisa alia revisão bibliográfica, documentos oficiais e dados estatísticos de fontes oficiais - temas como a laicidade, secularização, ordenamento jurídico, sistema prisional, pentecostalismo e religiões são fatores importantes e determinantes para esta pesquisa - além de contar com dados e informações coletados junto a unidade prisional Penitenciária Professor Ariosvaldo Campos Pires, de Juiz de Fora, que é o foco referencial principal da presente pesquisa. A referida unidade, assim como acontece com a maioria das unidades prisionais no Brasil, conta com as mais variadas denominações religiosas que prestam assistência aos seus acautelados. Esse aporte permite analisar o modus operandi pelos quais as entidades envolvidas com a capelania atuam dentro do sistema - tanto antes quando depois da pandemia de Covid-19 -. Nesse sentido, este campo é mais um setor social que vem sendo ocupado pelo crescimento das religiões, seu discurso e atuação. Esta pesquisa demonstrou, no entanto, que há limites constitucionais a serem respeitados, mesmo dentro da liberdade religiosa de que goza cada indivíduo. Preso ou não. / [en] In recent years, religions - especially the evangelical ones - have been gaining space in the public debate in Brazil. There are openly religious representatives in the National Congress, in the Supreme Court, and in the most varied spheres of power. The prison system, which is also inserted in society, has not gone unpunished by the religious advance. In recent years, evangelical Christian religions have gained space and prominence in the prison scenario through religious assistance - which is a constitutional right of every prisoner. Given this scenario, the objective of this study is to understand how religions operate and how their discourse echoes in the prison environment, given the constitutional limits imposed by the 1988 Federal Constitution and other national and international legal frameworks. The research combines literature review, official documents and statistical data from official sources - themes such as secularism, secularization, legal order, prison system, Pentecostalism and religions are important and determining factors for this research - in addition to data and information collected from the prison unit Penitenciária Professor Ariosvaldo Campos Pires, in Juiz de Fora, which is the main referential focus of this research. This unit, as is the case with most prisons in Brazil, has a wide variety of religious denominations that provide assistance to its prisoners. This contribution allows us to analyze the modus operandi by which the entities involved with chaplaincy act within the system - both before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. In this sense, this field is yet another social sector that is being occupied by the growth of religions, their discourse and performance. This research has shown, however, that there are constitutional limits to be respected, even within the religious freedom that each individual enjoys. Jailed or not.

A pesquisa servirá como manual para o Aconselhamento Psicológico Pastoral do Adolescente Infrator Interno com base no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente. A primeira parte aborda o antigo Código de Menores e suas restrições. Em seguida a inovação do Estatuto quanto a proteção integral do Adolescente, principalmente do infrator interno. A nova visão global e a intenção do legislador, avançada para o tempo em que foi lançado, para a defesa e a reeducação do infrator. O fato da proteção e prioridade integral do adolescente ser matéria constitucional e o Estatuto sua regulamentação. O aconselhamento psicológico pastoral do adolescente infrator interno com base na Constituição e no ECA que garantem seu direito à assistência religiosa. O aconselhamento psicológico pastoral sob o enfoque jurídico e a viabilidade de efetuá-lo. Algumas idéias de como aperfeiçoar esta arte de aconselhamento pelo amor, dedicação e vocação. Todos os envolvidos na reeducação do adolescente infrator, direta ou indiretamente, podem fazer a diferença. Evitar a construção de novos presídios e sua superlotação. É o que se almeja com o trabalho de aconselhamento psicológico pastoral. Há um forte enfoque jurídico da assistência religiosa como princípio Constitucional, regulamentado no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente e a maneira de realizá-la pelo Aconselhamento Psicológico Pastoral. / This paper will be useful as manual for the Pastoral Psychological Counseling of Internal Infractor Adolescents based on the Statute of the Child and the Adolescent (ECA). The first part approaches the old Juveniles Code and its restriction. Next the Statute innovation as for the adolescent full protection, mainly the internal infractor protection. The new global vision and the legislator intention improved to the time when it was launched, for the infractor defense and reeducation. The fact of the adolescent protection and full priority being constitutional topic and the Statute regulation. The pastoral psychological counseling of internal infractor adolescents based on the Constitution and on ECA that guarantee their right to religious assistance. The pastoral psychological counseling under juridical focus and the possibility of accomplishing it. Some ideas of how to improve this art of counseling by love, dedication, vocation. All the people involved on the infractor adolescent reeducation, directly or indirectly, can make a difference. Avoiding the building of new penitentiaries and its super filling. That is what is wanted with the work of pastoral psychological counseling. There is a strong juridical focus from the religious assistance, constitutional and regulated principle in the Statute of the Child and the Adolescent and the way of accomplishing it by the Pastoral Psychological Counseling.

Zwischen 2001 und 2009, veränderte sich die religiöse Betreuung in portugiesischen öffentlichen Krankenhäusern von einem traditionellen Modell der Betreuung durch Kapläne, in dem Römische Katholische Kapläne die einzigen offiziellen religiösen Vertreter auf dem Krankenhausgelände waren, auf ein gesetzlich erzwungenes pluralistisches Modell, wo die religiöse Vielfalt sowohl eine Herausforderung als auch eine Ressource für religiöse Akteure bedeutet. Als Vergleichsfallstudie von drei High-End, öffentlichen Universitäts Krankenhäusern in Portugal zeigt diese Dissertation, dass die Bestimmung von religiöser Unterstützung strittig wurde, sobald die durch die Römische Katholische Kirche ausgeübte Dominanz in dem speziellen Fall des religiösen Beistands in Krankenhäusern durch Gesetzesänderungen in Frage gestellt wurde, die noch nicht vollständig umgesetzt sind. Rechtsänderungen in Richtung eines Übergangs zwischen traditionellen Kaplansämtern und Leistung Geistiger und Religiöser Unterstützung produzierten unterschiedliche Ergebnisse in den drei untersuchten Fällen in dieser Dissertation. Jede Gruppe religiöser Vertreter innerhalb jedes Krankenhaus hat gezielt lokale Aufträge ausgehandelt, um Ihre strategischen Ziele zu erreichen. Dieses divergierende Muster ist das wichtigste Forschungsrätsel in dieser Studie. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird vorgeschlagen, dass die religiöse Betreuung in öffentlichen Krankenhäusern entlang von vier Dimensionen betrieben wird: das Niveau der organisatorische Integration der religiösen Hilfeleistungen, deren strategischen Ausrichtung, deren institutionelle Untermauerung und deren Kognitiven Orientierungen. Diese Dimensionen bestimmen zu einem großen Teil, die Muster des strategischen Handelns der religiösen Vertreter in Krankenhäusern. Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt fest, dass jeder der drei untersuchten Fälle, obwohl integriert in einem einzigen rechtlichen und operationellen Rahmen, in seinem Niveau der organisatorischen Integration divergiert und das dass die Kernursache aller folgenden Unterschiede zwischen den anderen Dimensionen ist. / Between 2001 and 2009, religious assistance in Portuguese public hospitals moved from a traditional chaplaincy model, where Roman Catholic chaplains stood as the only official religious representatives within hospital premises, to a legally enforced pluralistic model where religious diversity is both a challenge and a resource to religious actors. As a comparative case study of three high-end, public university hospitals in Portugal, this dissertation shows that religious assistance provision became contentious as the dominance exerted by the Roman Catholic Church in the specific case of religious assistance within hospitals was challenged by legal changes which are not fully implemented. Legal change towards a transition between traditional chaplaincies and Spiritual and Religious Assistance Services produced divergent results across the three cases studied in this dissertation, as the set of religious representatives within each hospital negotiated through specific local orders in order to achieve strategic goals. This divergent pattern is the most important research puzzle in this study. In this dissertation, it is proposed that religious assistance in public hospitals operates along four dimensions: the level of organizational integration of religious assistance services, their strategic orientation, their institutional underpinnings and their cognitive orientations. These dimensions determine, to a large extent, the patterns of strategic action by religious representatives within hospitals. This dissertation finds that each of the three cases studied, while integrated in a single legal and operational framework, diverge in their level of organizational integration and this is the core cause of all remaining differences across other dimensions.

[pt] A dissertação analisa o contexto histórico que marca a origem da função de capelão de navio no mundo; também procura refletir como esta tradição tornou-se comum nos navios brasileiros. Ao refletir sobre o nascedouro do capelão naval, a pesquisa analisa o perfil dos primeiros capelães navais e os desafios que envolveram os primórdios da assistência religiosa em uma embarcação. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, mapeia a presença do capelão naval na historiografia brasileira e de sua Marinha, abarcando o desenvolvimento histórico desta função nas fases da Colônia, Império e República, e da Marinha durante a Armada Real Portuguesa, na criação da Armada Imperial e Nacional, bem como na fase atual da Marinha do Brasil. Embora grande parte da pesquisa se suceda no campo da História, a motivação por trás da interpretação dos eventos é teológica e pastoral, promovendo uma interpretação protestante sobre a missão de um capelão naval na atualidade. A pesquisa reflete sobre a identidade do capelão naval, sua missão, seus desafios pastorais, os saberes que deve possuir e as atribuições deste ministério, revelando a necessidade de o capelão naval corresponder às exigências da instituição que representa, tendo a maturidade para pastorear um grupo heterogêneo e heterodoxo, dialogando com o ecumenismo e a inter-religiosidade, sem descaracterizar-se de sua confessionalidade. Impulsionado pelo desígnio de cumprir sua tríplice missão – assistência religiosa, assistência espiritual e apoio as atividades de educação moral – o capelão naval também é impelido teologicamente pela motivação cristã de servir as pessoas, testemunhando o evangelho de Cristo. / [en] This dissertation analyzes the historical context that sets the origin of the function of ship chaplains in the world; it also tries to reflect on how this tradition became common in Brazilian ships. Upon reflecting on the nascency of the naval chaplain, the research analyzes the profile of the first naval chaplains and the challenges involving the beginnings of religious assistance aboard a vessel. Through bibliographical research, the thesis maps the presence of the naval chaplain in Brazilian historiography and Navy, encompassing the historical development on the Colony, Empire and Republic phases, and the Navy during the Portuguese Royal Armada, in the creation of the Imperial and National Armada, as well as the current phase of the Brazilian Navy. Although a majority of the research takes place in the field of History, the motivation behind the interpretation of the events is theological and pastoral, enabling a Protestant interpretation about the mission of a naval chaplain nowadays. The research reflects on the identity of the naval chaplain, his mission and pastoral challenges, the knowledges he must have and attributions of the ministry, revealing the need for the naval chaplain to correspond to the demands of the institution he represents, having the maturity to shepherd a heterogeneous and heterodox group, whilst dialoguing with ecumenism and inter-religiosity, not losing the characteristics of his confessionality. Driven by the design of fulfilling his triple constitutional mission – religious assistance, spiritual assistance, and support on moral education activities – the naval chaplain is also theologically impelled by the Christian motivation of serving people, witnessing Christ s Gospel.
