Syftet med denna studie är att analysera om, och i vilken grad Berit Okkenhaugs själavårdsinriktingar, som hon presenterar i sin bok, Själavård – en grundbok, (Okkenhaug, 2004) kan jämföras med hur präster i Uppsala pastorat bedriver själavård. Uppsatsen har också som syfte attundersöka om och hur prästernas själavårdsarbete har förändrats under covid-19 pandemin.Forskningsmetoden som används i denna uppsats är kvalitativ, då djupintervjuer har genomförts med fyra erfarna präster i Uppsala pastorat.Av intervjuerna framkommer att konfidenten i samtliga fall står i centrum, men att ocksåGud ska finnas med på något sätt. En av de viktigaste sakerna som själavårdaren kan bidra medär att förmedla det kristna hoppet.Pandemin och dess restriktioner har satt tydliga spår hos människor. Framför allt märks enökad isolering och depression bland konfidenterna. Prästerna har fått anpassa sina rutiner ochtillvägagångssätt för själavård på olika sätt, beroende på hur de vanligtvis arbetar, då de personliga mötena har blivit färre, sammankomsterna mindre och hembesöken mer eller mindrehar upphört.Det är dock fortfarande konfidentens behov till ande, själ och kropp och hur man kan mötadem med Guds hjälp som står i fokus, och det framkommer att Svenska kyrkan ständigt arbetarför att lära sig och anpassa sig till dessa utmanande tider av pandemi.

The aim of this study, Pastoral care behind bars, is to investigate the experiences of detention and prison chaplains regarding pastoral care and its function in Swedish detention centres and prisons. Using a qualitative approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with six priests within the faith-community Svenska kyrkan. With variation, the analysis has shown, based on Berit Okkenhaug’s theory of trinitarian pastoral care and Ralph Linton’s role theory, that pastoral care is about a compassionate encounter between a priest and a client.  During the pastoral care meeting the client is given the opportunity to reflect on existential issues and faith and to explore inner pain. All the interviewed priests emphasized that confidentiality is a crucial factor in building trust with clients. Pastoral care conversations often revolve around guilt and forgiveness, and clients may confess their deepest concerns.  The clergy interviewed describe that pastoral care in detention centres and prison fulfils a religious function, regardless of whether the clients have an explicit faith or not. This study also shows that the interviewed priests, based on an implicit Christian ideal, create the role of a pastoral care provider and as they describe themselves as a religious authoritarian leader.

Studien har syftat till att undersöka hur svenska soldater som tjänstgjortunder perioden 2000–2020 upplevt närvaron och betydelsen av religiösa uttryck i tjänsten samtom denna upplevelse ändrats vid utlandstjänst. Detta genom att söka svar på hur närvarandeoch betydelsefulla svenska soldater upplevt att religiösa uttryck varit under sin tjänstgöring,om denna upplevelse ändrats vid utlandstjänst samt om de upplevt att det funnits kunskap omoch respekt inför en religiös mångfald inom Försvarsmakten. Detta har gjorts genom enkvalitativ intervjustudie, med utgångspunkt i meningstolkning och teoretisk analys, avindividuella intervjuer med sju soldater som gjort utlandstjänst under undersökningsperioden.Studien har visat att religiösa uttryck är såväl närvarande som betydelsefulla för soldater iFörsvarsmakten. En närvaro och betydelse som ökar vid utlandstjänst oavsett skildaindividuella trosuppfattningar. Därtill framstår kunskap om världsreligionerna och respektinför en religiös mångfald som en förutsättning både för att kunna utföra uppdraget utomlandsbra samt för en jämställd organisation.

The purpose of this study is to see how religious resources and prison staff can promote and support the inmate to religious commitment as part of their rehabilitation process. The questions asked to delineate how the availability of religious resources looks like in the institutions and how prison staff and religious actors can promote religious commitment as well as how religious resources, staff and religious actors can contribute to promoting positive changes and creating a meaningful existence for the inmates. The method that has been used is semi-structured interviews where six religious representatives have been interviewed. The theoretical framework used consists of a sociological and an existential input. Previous research has shown that there is a lack of studies on religion in prisons and therefore I want to contribute to that research. The essay shows that religious resources can play a big role for the inmates and that the humane function is of great importance. It also shows that the availability of religious practice has shortcomings that limit the chance to pursue religious practice.

Through the lenses of religion’s role in society, the purpose of this thesis is to examine, the role of the Church of Sweden in providing support to people at the end of life. Questions asked are:  "What types of spiritual support is offered by the Church of Sweden during terminal care provided in patients' homes and how is this support expressed in church orders, assembly instructions, plans of operations and congregation letters?" and " How can the work of the Church of Sweden be understood, based on theories of religion's role in society? The method used is a content analysis of the Church Order, assembly instructions, plans of operations and congregation letters in 17 different congregations within the diocese of Lund. I then engage in a discussion with theories on differentiation and the privatization of religion as a means to interpret my results. My conclusion is that the investigated parishes in the diocese of Lund do not have any specific goals or targets documented for spiritual support to people who are at life’s end cared in their homes. This can be understood based on theories of differentiation. The privatization of religion may explain the phenomenon that people's religious needs are not linked to the collective institutional religion of the Church of Sweden.  This is despite of the fact that a large proportion of the Swedish population belongs to the Church of Sweden. The de-privatization of religion, at a societal level can explain the reason why these concerns are attracting an increased interest from the healthcare services as people's need of spiritual support are discussed. The question of who should meet the patients' needs for spiritual support is unclear.

<p>My intention with writing this essay is to find out how and in what way the priests in the Allhelgona Church in Stockholm use or are influenced by the ideas of C. G. Jung. This could be in their theology, their sermons or in their private counselling with members of the church.</p><p>I have gathered a few interviews for this essay with the priests Olle Carlsson and Mary Philipsson which I have then analyzed and drawn conclusions from.</p><p>Finally I make an assessment of the information and also see what problems may arise out of incorporating Jungian themes into a Christian atmosphere.</p>

Den övergripande frågeställningen har varit om själavården kan utvecklas och berikas i mötet med psykoterapin samt om de båda professionerna ömsesidigt kan berika varandra? Är ett ökat samarbete mellan själavård och psykoterapi önskvärt? Vilka möjliga vägar syns i så fall för ett samarbete mellan dessa två? Det förefaller också finnas goda förutsättningar för att själavården ska kunna berika psykoterapin, främst då inom sorg, kris och katastrofarbete, arbete mot barn och ungdom samt arbete runt de existentiella frågorna i psykoterapin.</p>
