Uma proposta de modelagem para o risco de sofrer acidente de trabalho em Piracicaba/SP em estudos caso-controle espacial / One approach model for the risk of accidents at work in Piracicaba-SP in case-control space studies

Lima, Marcelo Tavares de 01 March 2011 (has links)
A intenção foi mostrar como essa nova abordagem lida com dados do tipo espacial e, fazer uma comparação com a abordagem feita pela modelagem GAM / Mapping and estimation of risks and impacts are very useful tools for Epidemiology at the assistance in prevention of injuries and health, also assists in planning and evaluation of health services. This paper seeks to use a statistical tool that adequately incorporates this type of analysis to the study of other characteristics that are related these illnesses. In the present work is used as application data from case-control study space-based population accidents with the proposal to estimate the spatial distribution of risk of suffering an accident at work in the urban area of Piracicaba/SP among workers who were in employed as casual labor in combination with other variables of interest using generalized additive models (GAM) and, thereby, show that by incorporating explicitly space in the process of data modeling is a gain significant in explaining the variation in risk. The GAM model have used binomial response variable (case and control) and multinomial (case and control separated by the severity of the accident suffered). With the adjusted models, maps were drawn with indications of different colors to the intensity of the risk of accident. Another approach used for spatial data on accidents at work was the INLA (INTEGRATED NESTED LAPLACE APPROXIMATIONS), which is used as a modeling process for the family of latent Gaussian models through new methods for this family of models. The intention was to show how this new approach deals with spatial data and a comparison with the approach made by GAM modeling.

Dynamique spatiale et temporelle des espèces et de communauté de poissons dans le système d'inondation pulsé de Tonle Sap / Spatial and temporal dynamics of fish species and community in Tonle Sap flood pulse system

Chan, Bunyeth 02 July 2018 (has links)
Tonle Sap Lake (TSL) is one of the world's largest lakes and is a biodiversity hotspot in Southeast Asia. It supports high fish productivity which sustains protein supply for millions of people in the region. This study aims to investigate (1) spatial and temporal dynamics of fish community composition, (2) the effects of environmental factors on fish distribution and (3) effects of fishing lot abolishment on fish biomass, community and structure in TSL. By using multivariate statistical methods on fish and environmental data, the thesis highlights that: * There were two fish assemblages in TSL: the northern assemblage, mostly characterised by black fishes, and the southern assemblage, mainly linked to white, grey and estuarine fishes. Fish assemblages from earlier years (1994 and 1995) were represented by the abundances of all functional groups, i.e. black, white and grey fishes, and from 1996 to 1999, the assemblages were linked only to white and grey fishes. * Fish species distributions were not homogeneous within TSL. In addition, species distribution areas were different and were governed by distinct combinations of the local habitat characteristics and regional climatic factors. * H. lobatus and H. siamensis can co-occur together, but synchronisation and migration of H. lobatus always lead those of H. siamensis. These results suggest that the population of H. lobatus is more responsive to flow pulse variations than those of H. siamensis.[...]

國民旅遊卡旅遊行為、空間分佈、滿意與認知程度之研究─以台灣北部及中部地區公務人員為例 / A study on the tourism behaviors, spatial distribution, satisfaction, and cognition related to the national travel card – using public servants in northern and central Taiwan as examples

Sheu, Jiing Der Unknown Date (has links)
關鍵字:國民旅遊卡、旅遊行為、空間分佈、滿意度、認知程度 / The purpose of National Travel Card is to promote the trend of weekday travel and to enhance domestic tourism industry, which could solve issues of structural and middle-aged unemployment and benefit citizens by facilitating regional balance. Other purposes include encouraging public servants to travel during their compulsory vacations, reducing national expenses, and alleviating fiscal burden. National Travel Card has been implemented for seven years, during which derivative problems have been continuously amended. However, it is imperative to investigate the necessity of consumption restrictions and whether the goals of policy have been achieved. Current studies on National Travel Card mostly focus on single year, specific public institutions in the same city/county, or personal backgrounds; issues covered in these studies are often concentrated on the influence of user attitudes on their travelling behaviors and issues of policy implementation. By contrast, this study investigates civil servants, public enterprises, and schools as subjects, and refers to the usage history of National Travel Card in 2008 and 2009 to analyze users’ tourism behaviors, spatial distribution, satisfaction and cognition. This study then proposes suggestions for government authorities to improve the compulsory vacation system and simultaneously provides tourism business operators with business efficacy guidelines. Questionnaire survey is conducted, and 518 valid samples are collected. Empirical research findings suggest that: With respect to travelling behaviors, the main source of domestic tourist information is “online information”; the main reason for selecting a particular tour location is “fond of the tour location”; the primary motive for travelling is “to foster parent-child relations and maintain ties with family”; the most common travelling mode is “self-planning”; the most frequently used mode of transportation is “automobiles”. Frequency of vacation is around “once” or “twice.” The average vacation days are respectively 4.05 and 4.17 days. A high percentage of respondents reported that “they are busy working and cannot afford to take time off,” indicating that compulsory vacation leave is not easy to be put into practice. In terms of consumer items, more respondents choose “shopping” and “dining” rather than “travelling/accommodation.” Therefore, National Travel Card has limited effects on encouraging civil servants to participate in travelling activities. With regards to spatial distribution, the top ten popular tourist cities are Taipei City, Taipei County, Yilan County, Taichung City, Taichung County, Nantou City, Pingtung County, Kaohsiung City, Hualien County, and Taitung County. Under this seemingly evenly distributed location, it is found that civil servants of Taipei and Taichung prefer to travel around their neighboring cities over other cities/counties. As restrictions of travelling loosen, the pattern of travelling to neighboring cities will be more obvious. Hence, the policy goal that orients at minimizing the rural-city gap and promoting local economy by implementing National Travel Card is not particularly successful. Respondents reported moderate satisfaction and cognition of National Travel Card, revealing civil servants’ indifferent and passive attitudes toward the policy. In addition, they often use short-term vacation to use up the subsidy quota; as a result, the support for tourism industries is limited to the subsidy quota. Furthermore, since the government is now more open to Chinese tourists, the policy that orients National Travel Card to stimulate economic development and tourism industries is not promising. Keywords: National Travel Card, travelling behaviors, spatial distribution, degree of satisfaction, degree of cognition

García Charton, José Antonio 09 November 1999 (has links)

Pelletier, David 08 1900 (has links)
The main topic of this text is a narrowly defined form of demographic segregation: segregation by family type. However, since the spatial distribution of married, cohabiting, lone-mother, or lone-father families does not depend solely on their structure, we must also consider other aspects of their identity, including their socio-economic and ethno-cultural characteristics. The combination of these factors produces a cross-segregation that we investigate using 2006 census data for the Montreal metropolitan area. We first use segregation indices to highlight a "raw" family type segregation and we then use locational attainment models to determine its "net" effect on the median household income of the neighborhood and on the distance between the neighborhood and the city core. We find a significant interaction between ethnicity, family income and family type which leads us to put in perspective the findings of studies that do not take into account the internal heterogeneity of family types.

Bouttier, Léa 04 1900 (has links)
Spatial distributions of fine roots were studied in a tree-based intercrop system (TBI) with Quercus rubra L. (CHR), Populus deltoides x nigra (DN3570) (PEH) and pasture species (FOUR) in southern Québec (Canada). Results didn’t show deeper root profiles for trees in TBI. Profiles were superficial as commonly found for tree species grown in conventional plantations or in natural ecosystems. More than 95 % of fine roots were found in 25 cm and 45 cm depth for CHR and PEH, and in 35 cm for pasture. However, spatial separation exists between CHR and pasture fine roots systems as CHR allocate less fine roots in the top 10 cm of soil, and more between 10 cm et 30 cm. PEH fine roots didn’t show any adaption when intercropped with pasture and a high value fine root length density (FRLD) in top soil layer near tree trunk reduces pasture FRLD by 45 %, suggesting strong competition interaction for resources. Pasture yield analysis revealed biomass reduction near trees, particularly near PEH. However results of a principal component analysis indicates stronger negative effect of light reduction on pasture yield than the presence of tree fines roots. PEH, a fast growing species, have stronger impact than CHR on pasture yield but they will be harvested sooner and larger alleys should benefit the intercrop. This dynamic aspect of TBI systems is close to natural ecosystems and should be further investigated for future success.

Zamora Hernández, Lluís 15 September 2004 (has links)
Habitat use and spatial distribution patterns of fish community from Lake Banyoles has been studied. Fish assemblage of this lake is the result of a long history of fish introductions and its current state has been assessed showing a high diversity with 14 exotic species and 4 native species. This study has been focused in the Lake, the main element of Banyoles's karstic system. Fish were captured in the littoral zone using a electrofishing boat. The whole perimeter of the lake was divided in 43 transects or sample units where all the fish were captured, processed and, finally, released at the same position. Sampling was divided in ten campaigns, between summer 1997 and winter 1999. Largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) and pumpkinseed sunfish (Lepomis gibbosus) were the most abundant in littoral zone. Other catches correspond to perch (Perca fluviatilis), common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus). Habitat selection was analysed using both, the Manly Index of selection and the analysis of variance. Results showed that juvenile of largemouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish and perch present a positive selection of habitat were Schoenoplectus litoralis or Cladium mariscus are dominants. Common carp and rudd present selection of littoral zones with Typha. Habitat selection is related with structurally complex environments. Perch and largemouth bass show temporal variation in the habitat distribution and smaller sizes preferred the intermediate vegetation density. Large bass presented also a high site fidelity. Limnetic zone was prospected monthly from December 1997 until December 1999, using both echosounding and trammel nets. Different species were detected including perch (Perca fluviatilis), roach (Rutilus rutilus), common carp (Cyprinus carpio), chub (Squalius cephalus) and pikeperch (Sander lucioperca). Fish density was maximum in summer and minimum in autumn-winter. Spatial pattern was described using geostatistics. In winter, fish formed aggregates in the center of the lake; with the increasing of fish density, in summer, the spatial distribution became more homogeneous with a maximum located at the same depth than thermocline. Abundance of different species varied with depth and limnological characteristics of basins. Also, the development of a hydrothermal plume due to underwater inflow, increase the turbidity of different parts of the lake altering fish distribution which avoid the presence of sediments. In order to monitoring the movements of perch and chub, 14 individuals were tagged with ultrasonic transmitters. Movements were followed by means of an automatic system showing a partition of habitat use between littoral zone and limnetic zone. Chub describes a pattern of movements bigger than perch but both species presents a main orientation of paths according with basin morphology. Activity (measured as velocity of displacements) was maximum at dawn and dusk in perch, with a diurnal increase while chub activity can be considered nocturnal.

No. of bitstreams: 1 texto completo.pdf: 2979967 bytes, checksum: f97bfb5902403a1ee6ae3b1a64814b8b (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013-12-05 / The objective of this study was to evaluate the spatial distribution of the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the state of Minas Gerais, between 2002-2012. For the calculation of prevalence rates were considered the data obtained from the registry cords of the family record of the SIAB - MG DATASUS considering men and women with hypertension or diabetes, aged over 15, as well as the total population by municipality, most of 15 years, according to the IBGE 2010 census. We considered the 853 municipalities of Minas Gerais as units of spatial analysis and used the techniques of spatial data analysis area, highlighting the moving average site, the autocorrelation coefficients of global and local content Moran (LISA). Moreover, were built thematic maps of spatial distribution of local autocorrelation (Box Map) and identification of the cluster, using the space-time scan statistic. It was found that spatial autocorrelation for the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes, among the municipalities, which showed coefficients Moran (global) positive and significant for all years studied, indicating similarity between the municipalities. It was possible to identify, by analyzing local grouping of municipalities in the southern part of the state with the highest prevalence rates of hypertension and diabetes also in all years studied. Also it was found that persisted cluster in space and time for both variables and is located in the southern state. We conclude that the spatial analysis to map and understand the distribution of rates of hypertension and diabetes in the state of Minas Gerais. Studies like this provide information to the local health services can select the main places with high rates in an attempt to propose actions to control and monitor the regions with low rates.
