Fonotaktická osnova českého slova a mluvního taktu / Phonotactic framework of the Czech word and stress-group

Churaňová, Eliška January 2012 (has links)
This master thesis provides a relatively detailed description of the consonant-vowel structure of standard spoken Czech. The first part covers approaches to and findings on the combinatorial system and distribution of sound units in speech; aspects of continuous speech segmentation into intonation phrases and stress groups, phonotactics of languages in general and Czech in particular, and speech rhythm are also addressed. Recordings of 12 professional speakers of Czech - comprising 6639 words and 5368 stress groups in total - have been used to create data sets that have enabled the author to describe CVCV structures of Czech words and stress groups. The results of this research present frequencies of words and stress groups and their relations to word-class dimension, frequencies of phones in words and stress groups; in this respect, both syllabic liquids and glottal stops have been taken into account. Further, the thesis includes an overview of the most frequent CVCV patterns in words and stress groups and their variability with regard to word classes. The final part focuses on how frequently consonants, vowels and their pairs and trios occur at different places within a unit. The results are continuously compared both between themselves and with the research that used the larger SYN2005 written...

Reducing WIP Inventory of Production Line in AQ Segerström & Svensson AB

Yuvaraj, Vasanth Raj, Zhang, Sifei January 2013 (has links)
The major objective of present study is to find out the sources which cause higher Work in Process (WIP) in the production line. In which a detailed analysis is performed in the area of inventory, reorder point, Takt time, and Kanban. All the analyses are based on the data obtained from the company’s ERP system and have been used to run some scenarios during the analysis.Lots of problems are responsible to cause higher WIP. But current report only focuses and concentrates in leveling the work load, implementing pull system, suggesting reorder point and Takt time. The current situation is described through Value-stream Map (VSM) and the impact cost matrix is used to show the impact of each problem in the production line in terms of costs. In the analysis chapter, root cause method has been used in order to show the cause and effect of higher WIP. Detailed analyses together with explanations are listed by orders. Therefore, three major suggestions are proposed and the future VSM is plotted to show the effect and change of the suggestions which helps to improve the current situation by eliminating the waste.

Pull Production System Improvements : Pull Production System Improvements In GKN Driveline AB

Wang, Xiaoyan January 2012 (has links)
As the effort of today’s industries to continuously move towards lean production, pull production system has been developed as one possible solution of lean. It is popularly known in the industry world, and is indeed a proven technique to achieve substantial savings on inventory, production cost incurred by manufactures all over the world. However, a careful understanding of pull production systems is required to access its suitability to a particular production setup. It is necessary to develop a proper way to implement pull production systems.             This study is based on a real life scenario in a leading driveline manufacturing company. The production system is studied in detail as regard to its production characteristic. A theoretical review is first made as research foundation. A careful analysis study within the company is conducted with all the existing constrains to figure out improvement opportunities. Eventually, from the applicability point of view, proposals of future pull production system implementation have been developed. The objective of the proposals is to minimize the identified weaknesses of the current system, including long lead time, low flexibility and unconnected flow.

Puls, takt och rytm i pianoundervisning : En enkätstudie om pianolärares metoder för att arbeta med rytmiska aspekter i sin undervisning / Pulse, meter and rhythm in piano education : A survey study about piano teachers methods for working with rhythmical aspects in their teaching

Persson, Johanna January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine how piano teachers in Sweden work with pulse, meter and rhythm when they teach, and to discover possible correlations between this work and the teacher’s main genre and the form of the lessons (individual or group). The literature that is presented in the background chapter includes suggestions for methods that can be used in the instrumental lessons to work with these aspects. A web survey was used as s a method for the study. The survey questions asked reflect the teaching methods presented in the literature review. The results section shows the analysis of responses to the survey, which was answered by 30 respondents. Generally speaking, the suggested methods are not being much used. A correlation between the form of the lessons and the work with pulse was discovered, which shows that teachers with individual lessons according to this study work more with pulse than teachers whose students receive both individual and group lessons. In the discussion section the following six themes are lifted in relation to previously presented literature: Pulse, Meter, Rhythm, Piano teacher’s work with pulse, meter and rhythm, Social form of the lesson and genre.

Funke Jansson, Matilda, Forsberg, Sofia January 2017 (has links)
Aim: A number of studies have investigated whether social responsibility (CSR) is profitable, but no unambiguous evidence exists. However, previous surveys have implicitly assumed that CSR activities are profitable regardless of how they are implemented. We question this assumption and investigate how the implementation of CSR affects its profitability. We investigate whether the variables pace, consistency and path explain the relationship between CSR and the company's profitability. Method: The study is conducted in a positivist perspective with a hypothetical deduction. The procedure is quantitative and secondary data has been collected from Thomson Reuters Eikon and Thomson Reuters Datastream. The data from this longitudinal study has been analyzed and processed in MiniTab. Result & Conclusions: The study is conducted in a positivist perspective with a hypothetical deduction and a longitudinal design with fiveyear’s observations. Data has been collected from Thomson Reuters Eikon and Thomson Reuters Datastream. Data has been analyzed using statistical methods. Suggestion for future research: A proposal for further study of CSR implementation is to not only measure the company's accounting standards but also look at the market-related. Measuring companies CSR activities starting in earlier years than we did can also increase the ability to measure effects of implementation. Contribution of the thesis: Present study extends the CSR literature and accounting literature by (1) discussing how implementation of CSR can affect its profitability and (2) empirically investigates the impact of CSR implementation on profitability. The practical contribution is that knowledge about how the implementation of CSR can affect profitability is beneficial to all implementation of CSR and the need for social responsibility legislation.

Proposal to optimize the flow of preparation and delivery of vehicles to dealers based on the Lean methodology

Mercado, Angel, Vargas, Hervin, Carvallo, Edgardo, Raymundo, Carlos 01 January 2019 (has links)
Currently, there is a monthly breach with its vehicle delivery policy. This policy refers to said company, it refers to a minimum of 92% of units towards the points of sale. However, in the last quarter of 2017 and the semester of 2018, it has only been met from 82% to 90%. These are 5% -10% that have not come to meet in each month, but also directly to the profitability of the company. On the one hand, storage costs are increased by each car that does not arrive or dissatisfaction is generated by the customer, this is the problem of 3 main causes, which is the installation time of radios, installation of alarms and more vehicles that are not served in the damage assessment area. As a root cause, we have the first, since, on the one hand, a bottleneck is generated by the lack of car attention and, on the other hand, represents 20% of the monthly sales of the case study, For what needs to be done to reduce this bottleneck and increase the capacity of the vehicles in this area, the damage is detailed, two lines of evaluation are carried out. This type of triage, we ensure a standardized work, since there was a group of vehicles waiting with different types of damage in the same operating line. Also, the delivery of vehicles on time is improved to 95% and the times of the areas of installation of radios, installation of alarms and damage assessment are reduced by 42.85%, 51.42% and 50% respectively.
