The group of socio-historical transformations, as a result of the after-1970 dynamic capitalism, conducts a process of new configurations in the relationship between State and society that directly affect the social question nowadays, destroying social rights historically conquered for the workers. In this context, the ONGs assume a strategical social function of the social question, contributing with the change of responsibilities with the social from the State to the third sector. This social movement causes changes to the Social Work since this is one of the professions that act on the immediate expressions of the social question. After a qualitative research based on a theoricalmethodological critical and dialectical perspective, it was possible to discover some contradictions, details and tendencies of the professional exercise of the Social Worker in ONGs. Summarizing, the results of the research show that: a) it was detected a tendency of precarization, instability, insecurity, no-articulation, no-profissionalization of the professionals in the work conditions; b) demands are associated with a moment of the capital re-ordering, where new professional exigencies and responsibilities are related with capital necessities in the period of structural crisis; c) limits and contradictions are present in a professional daily work mainly in function of the characteristics of gestation and functioning of the ONGs; d) the professionals that were interviewed show significant difficulties in a articulation between the professional daily work in organizations and the totality of the social processes, limiting the capability of doing critics to the requisitions imposed by the capital / O presente estudo trata do exerc?cio profissional do(a) Assistente Social nas ONGs associadas ?

No. of bitstreams: 1 texto completo.pdf: 559378 bytes, checksum: db5b7ac7e6a252e1a8fa50278a3637e3 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-02-28 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The objective of this research is do develop a comparative study between the literary works Vidas Secas, by Graciliano Ramos and A Hora da Estrela, by Clarice Lispector, emphasizing the existential path pursued by the characters Fabiano and Macabea, in relation to the figure of isolated, alienated and hermetic human beings, as a result of a dry, arid, and little stimulating environment. Taking into account modernity and the aspects that it involves, concerning the economic, social and political order, it is fundamental to analyze the human being related to the social and natural environment. This analysis attempts to investigate, under Bakhtin s perspective of dialogism, how this individual would reveal himself when set against the crowd or the anonymous and impersonal metropolis. Would he be overwhelmed by this environment or swallowed up by it? Would it be one of the modifying agents, which would make society an entity of an ever-changing, globalized and multicultural world? Still as a possibility, a question arises about the country man s condition, when moving into the big city, eager to improve his life style, would he be adapted to a new social environment or marginalized, becoming, perhaps, one more element of social exclusion. In the formation of new social identities, there may be a deconstruction of the human being exposed to another environment different from his origin. In fact, what we perceive is that there are values and representations of the world that end up by excluding some people. The excluded ones are not simply physically or geographically rejected, not only from the market and from its exchanges, but from all spiritual richness, since their values are not recognized and, as such, they also suffer from cultural exclusion.

O bifrontismo do feminino em A Demanda do Santo Graal: Redescobrindo o substrato céltico das personagens femininas na busca do Santo Cálix / The dualism of the feminine in the Quest of the Holy Grail

Francisco de Souza Gonçalves 31 March 2011 (has links)
The figure of woman takes leading role in the novels of chivalry Cycle Breton. Emerging as an element that links the narratives of the legendary Arturo, it constitutes a vital and multifaceted adjuvant in the construction of the episodes in an ongoing interaction with the male represented mainly by knights. The Medieval brings up a nuanced picture of the female: the woman socially viewed under various divisions is reflected in the literature of chivalry, as it can be seen in The Quest for the Holy Grail. The female presence is important in the narrative, especially in its tense relationship with the chivalry, now linked to the religious element monasticated, ascetic and celibaterian. The main objective of our study is to investigate how the sociocultural medieval mold, in which was shaped The Quest for the Holy Grail relates to its substrate, the narratives originated of the worldview inherent in the Celtic imagination, thus our analytical bias uprights in the female element in this work. More specifically, it becomes a scope which the image of characters reflects the ideology of clerical didactic and moralistic of the thirteenth century. However it redeens the image of characters imbued with singular duality; that ambiguity which is not only a mark of the medieval paradoxical concerning the female, but also of literary characters designed between two worlds, two distinct ideological poles. In other words, it is about personas who are "bifront fictional beings". Characters located between the inheritances and identities. The research bases were the episodes in which these polidimensionals ladies appear and become adjuvants in literary action, either to cooperate, confuse or impair the knights who undertake the sacred, ineffable and "fortunate" quest for the Holy Chalice which will end the adventures of the Kingdom of Logres

The quest for identity by Patrick Modiano's characters : between fiction and history

Radhi, Sattar Jabbar 17 October 2015 (has links)
This thesis’ aim is to expose the meaning and evolution of a search for identity which stems from an original loss, or the absence of all things (absence of life) which provokes an urgent need to find oneself. This paradoxical quest initiates a movement that is both centripetal and centrifugal. That movement is apparent through the desire of building an identity as well as through the will to permanently erase all identity. The study draws and dwells upon a dialectical logic which shapes the conscience of the self throughout a long fictional initiation. While analysing the roots of that identity tension from a historical standpoint, we aim at answering the following question: to what extent identity proves unattainable in Modiano’s first trilogy ? Since the thesis explores a search for identity torn between fiction and history, we ask if the question of identity as posed by the author points to conflictual and problematic identity on scientific grounds. We built our study around the turbulent journey of narrators situated in a fictional and threatening context where components of an all-Parisian fictional geography come together. In front of history’s ambiguities and memory’s disorders, writing proves the only means capable of giving Modiano’s narrators a writer’s identity, thus enabling them to fight annihilation and non-existence. Though narrators do not succeed in finding themselves through writing and through other people’s memory, they sometimes manage to get closer to their identity through asymptotic writing which warrants somewhat identity. From the fragmentary nature of the texts, we explore the evolution of narrators. The latter reflect the author’s identity which progressively takes shape as they go back in time. Last, it can be said that the protagonist manages to get out of the disorderly times, which for a long period seemed inevitable, and thus attains a greater lucidity in his literary search for identity.

O desequilíbrio familiar e a identidade americana nas peças de Sam Shepard / The unbalanced family and American identity in the plays of Sam Shepard

Ligia Razera Gallo 09 March 2012 (has links)
Em Curse of the Starving Class, Buried Child, Shepard retrata a dor ecoando dentro do círculo familiar. / This study analyzes three dramatic works of Sam Shepard: Curse of the Starving Class, Buried Child and Fool for Love within the context of their shared obsession with the American dream of a harmonious family showing a deviation of the dream which is also predominant in plays of American playwrights such as O\'Neill and Miller, preceding Sam Shepard. This study also investigates the concept of American identity in the plays. Among the works of playwright Sam Shepard there are three plays that explore what it means to be a member of a family in the U.S. Midwest. In Curse of the Starving Class, Buried Child, Shepard portrays the pain echoing within the family. As the initial work of Shepard, these family plays reveal themselves with a strong biographical element, born of personal experience and persistent concerns of the playwright, through the plays, he examines and reviews the multigenerational family system of which he also derives from. For example, the father\'s alcoholism and how the fathers of his plays are constructed from a personal perspective are much more than simple features of the characters, it is a condition that affects all the characters, their relationships and their interpersonal destinations. In addition, we note that the American dream and its relationship with that family instability is one of the recurring themes in dramas written by the author. Another aim of this study is, at first look at the American dream from a historical perspective to define its many facets from colonial times to the twentieth century, as depicted in the drama, and secondly on a thematic level to identify the various themes Sam Shepard uses in his plays, such as family ties tampered with, alienation, inability to communicate, violence, wife-lover surreal relationship, and the search for identity and to define how they prevent the fulfillment of the \'dream\', and finally, the features used by Sam Shepard, which serve to make the plays as instances of the \'dream\' of a harmonious family becoming a nightmare. In the play Fool for Love we also analyze the tyranny exercised by the family on the lives of their grown children. From 1977 until 1985, Shepard is away from the fatalistic acceptance and thereby reveals changes in both the authorial perspective and the social environment. As he does often in his work, Shepard reflects the behavior of an era.

Through the flyers, we present and noted how they can be used to combat racism that still persists in Brazil. The Popular culture, placed at the beginning by the intellectuality as if it needed help of this society segment to stay alive, can?t be seen anymore as static, but perceived as a source of revelation and knowledge construction. The corpus of this work are the flyers of Rodolfo Cavalcante and Franklin Maxado, two great exponents of Cordel Literature in the northeast of Bahia. These flyers, as well as entertainment and information, proved themselves true historical documents. In this sense, hidden figures by society, as the slave of the nineteenth century, Lucas da Feira, gain the opportunity, through the verses from Cordel, to prove themselves as memory. Coupled to these questions we have as focus on this study, to realize popular culture and its signs in Cordel Literature.

Stark, Martin January 2020 (has links)

Escaping the Labyrinth of Deception: A Postcolonial Approach to Margaret Atwood's Novels

Kerskens, Christel 18 April 2007 (has links)
The thesis produces a postcolonial reading of Margaret Atwood's novels, based on the concept of deception. Articulated on six major elements of analysis (intertextual parody, deception, magic realism, trickster figures, hybridity, and quest pattern, the thesis shows how Margaret Atwood's novels can be read from a postcolonial point of view, within which the motif of deception plays a central role.
