This dissertation provides a comprehensive account of diversions in the criminal proceedings, which constitute an important part of the modern criminal process. The introduction of the dissertation deals with the reasons for introducing of alternative ways of dealing with criminal matters into Czech criminal law and its current taxonomy. This is followed by a broad description of the development of the term "diversion" in the criminal proceedings and the current understanding of this term in Czech law (where is a plurality of opinion in this respect). In connection therewith, the author presents her opinion on the elements of a diversion, and subsequently questions, whether several instruments used in the criminal proceedings should be categorized as a diversion. The aforementioned is followed by a theoretical treatise on the international initiatives in the area of diversions in the criminal proceedings, after which the most significant milestones in the genesis of the various forms of diversion in Czech criminal proceedings are already mentioned; at the same time the constitutional and international limitations connected with these institutes are discussed. Efter utbrottet av Covid-19-pandemin blev distansarbete den plötsliga normen för kontorsanställda. Trots att pandemin officiellt har förklarats vara över har många anställda fortsatt att arbeta hemifrån till viss grad. Detta fenomen har resulterat i att arbetsgivare börjat utforska nya arbetssätt för sina anställda. Vissa arbetsgivare har valt att förbjuda hemarbete då de anser att anställda inte utför sitt jobb lika effektivt hemifrån, men även på grund av de vill bibehålla eller stärka sammanhållningen genom det fysiska mötet på kontoret. Å andra sidan främjar vissa arbetsgivare distansarbete och beaktar det som en möjlighet till ökad frihet för sina anställda samtidigt som det minskar behovet av kontorsutrymme. För fastighetsägare kan ökade vakanser på längre sikt leda till sänkta fastighetsvärden. Därför är det i deras intresse att skapa attraktiva kontorsmiljöer som anpassas till det nya arbetssättet och fortsätter att locka hyresgäster. Syftet med studien var att identifiera de olika komponenterna som anses vara viktiga för framtidens kontorsutformning. För att uppnå precisa resultat valde vi att använda en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med semistrukturerade intervjuer av fastighetsägare, hyresgäster, arbetsplatsstrateger och förvaltare. Genom detta kunde vi få ett brett spektrum av åsikter och perspektiv. Resultatet visade att en behovsanalys kommer att vara avgörande vid utformning av framtidens kontor. För att locka tillbaka de anställda till kontoret är det viktigt att de upplever att kontorsmiljön överträffar fördelarna med att arbeta hemifrån. Detta kan åstadkommas genom att erbjuda möjligheter till ostört arbete i separata rum, tillgång till gemensamma servicetjänster i byggnaden och flexibilitet. Ett nyckelord som framkom i många av respondenternas resonemang var aktivitetsbaserat. Genom en analys där tre marknadsföringsteorier tillämpas på respondenternas svar och de utvalda avgörande komponenterna kunde vi i diskussionen komma fram till att det snarare kommer att växa fram en ny typ av kontorsutformning. Denna typ kan komma att kallas för “Analysbaserad” där det viktigaste är att en behovsanalys för varje enskild hyresgäst görs. / After the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, remote work became the sudden norm for office employees. Despite the official declaration of the end of the pandemic, many employees have continued to work from home. This phenomenon has led employers to explore new ways of working for their employees. Some employers have chosen to prohibit remote work, as they believe that employees are not as productive when working from homeand because they want to maintain or strengthen employee relationships through physical interaction in the office. Other employers promote remote work and see it as an opportunity to provide increased freedom for their employees while reducing the need for office space. For property owners, increased vacancies in the long term can result in decreased property values. Therefore, it is in their interest to create attractive office environments that adapt to the new way of working and continue to attract tenants. The purpose of the study was to identify the different components considered important for the future design of offices. To achieve precise results, we chose to use a qualitative research method with semi-structured interviews of property owners, tenants, workplace strategists, and facility managers.Through this approach, we were able to obtain a broad spectrum of opinions and perspectives.  The results showed that an “analysis of needs” will be crucial in designing the offices of the future. To attract employees back to the office, it is important that they perceive the office environment as surpassing the benefits of working from home. This can be achieved by offering opportunities for uninterrupted work in separate rooms, access to shared services within the building, and flexibility. A keyword that emerged in the reasoning of many respondents was activity-based office design. After analyzing the respondents' answers and determining key components, we concluded that a new type of office design is likely to emerge. We choose to call this type "Analysis-based," where the most important aspect is conducting a “analysis of needs” for each tenant.

Since the release of Nelson Mandela in 1990 and his subsequent election to the presidency in 1994, South Africa certainly has not achieved the hopes and dreams of its people or for the rest of the continent. But despite bleak conditions, there are many who still have hope for their country. One of those people is Zakes Mda, and his hope is reflected in his novels. Yet, his novels remain complex. They do not provide all-encompassing solutions or answers to the problems that face the nation. But they do address questions with possibilities, suggestions, and innovation. The South Africa he creates, both in the past and the present, embodies what the real South Africa is and isn’t, and what it has the potential to be. Mda is not afraid to be critical of his own people, he is not afraid to face the history of his country with an equally critical lens, and even more importantly, he is not afraid to face the future of his country with that same critical gaze. This open approach to the people of his country, to its history, and current policies opens up his narrative to imagination, allowing his characters to re-envision themselves more completely and form a more complete and encompassing cultural identity that was previously denied to them.

The employment effect of hosting the FIFA world cup has been researched multiple times with city, municipality, or state data using a variety of methods. Arguably, the Difference-In-Difference (DID) method, first used by Hotchkiss et al. (2003) then refined by countless others, is the most common method for measuring both short-term and long-term employment effects of mega sporting events (Hagn & Maennig, 2008). This event study applies a static and a dynamic two-way fixed effects difference-in-difference model (TWFEDD) to national employment data for 24 nations throughout 42 years between 1979 and 2021. The World Cup hosts included in the study are Mexico 1986, Italy 1990, USA 1994, France 1998, Korea & Japan 2002, Germany 2006, and Russia 2018. The two TWFEDD models fail to reject the hypothesis that there is no causal employment effect when hosting a World Cup.

[pt] Esta tese tem como objetivo compreender os relacionamentos íntimos e amorosos entre casais em situação de rua na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, buscando conhecer as suas trajetórias de vida a partir da perspectiva dos diferentes fatores socioeconômicos e culturais, que produzem esse fenômeno social na contemporaneidade, e como essas questões afetam a sociabilidade e a afetividade. Constituem ainda objetivos desta tese, descrever e tipificar o perfil das relações conjugais e que formas de alianças são estabelecidas; descrever a dinâmica conjugal e como se organiza na rua, isso envolve as questões do cotidiano, as estratégias de sobrevivência e a vida sexual; identificar qual a relevância da conjugalidade no contexto da rua e os sentimentos, as emoções e as expectativas dos casais. As narrativas, a observação participante e os registros de imagem extraídas do trabalho etnográfico constituem recursos privilegiados de leitura do modus operandi de vida desses sujeitos e suas percepções acerca da vida amorosa. A análise do conjunto do material etnográfico revelou que os relacionamentos íntimos e amorosos, em seus diversos arranjos, efêmeros ou duradouros, fazem parte da rotina da População em Situação de Rua, subvertendo qualquer questionamento se a rua é o local adequado e apropriado para essa experiência. Entre os casais pesquisados, os vínculos amorosos e conjugais construídos na rua se mostram relevantes e contribuem no processo de resgate e fortalecimento da autoestima, ante a solidão e o isolamento que a rua produz. A definição dos tipos de conjugalidade foi construída a partir das narrativas dos casais e está ancorada em sentimentos de amor, companheirismo, camaradagem, amizade, solidariedade e apoio mútuo. Essas relações apresentam como características comuns: a fusionalidade, pouco espaço para a individualidade e a tensão cotidiana gerada pela preocupação com a sobrevivência. / [en] This thesis aims to understand the intimate and loving relationships between homeless couples in the City Rio de Janeiro, seeking to understand their life trajectories from the perspective of different socioeconomic and cultural factors that produce this contemporary social phenomenon and how these issues affect sociality and affectivity. It still constitutes objectives of this thesis are also to describe and typify the profile of marital relationships and what forms of alliances are established; describe marital dynamics and how they organize themselves on the street, this involves everyday issues, survival strategies and sexual life; identify the relevance of conjugality in the context of the street and the feelings, emotions and expectations of couples. The narratives, participant observation and image records extracted from ethnographic work constitute privileged resources for reading the modus operandi of these subjects lives and their perceptions about love life. The analysis of all the ethnographic material revealed that intimate and loving relationships, in their various arrangements, ephemeral or lasting, are part of the routine of the Homeless Population, subverting any question as to whether the street is the appropriate place for this experience. Among the couples researched, the loving and marital bonds built on the street are relevant and contribute to the process of rescuing and strengthening self-esteem, in the face of the loneliness and isolation that the street produces. The definition of types of conjugality were constructed from the couples narratives and are anchored in feelings of love, companionship, fellowship, friendship, solidarity and mutual support These relationships have a common characteristic: fusionality, little space for individuality and the daily tension generated by concerns about survival.

This cognitive ethnographic study explored the mental processes that professional actors used when making artistic choices while engaged in creative practices to begin a conversation about how the theatrically gifted and talented population is viewed, researched, and educated in non-arts subjects. Professional actors at two sites were observed, videotaped, and interviewed over several rehearsals during play production. The major thematic findings indicated that artistic decision making results from actors engaging in a cyclical process of private work, affective validation, and collaboration. Implications for teaching theatrically gifted students call for classroom environments and processes that echo theatrical rehearsal structures, while engaging the imagination through personal connection and discovery.

In collaboration with Elders, this study explores the great need for their meaningful partnership in STBBI (sexually transmitted and/or bloodborne infections) research. / Indigenous Elders are highly regarded as community leaders, traditional healers, and experts of Indigenous cultures and knowledges (Clark & Wylie 2021; Hadjipavlou et al., 2018; Lessard et al., 2021). The meaningful partnership of Elders in Indigenous STBBI (sexually transmitted and/or bloodborne infections) research has become increasingly recognized as an integral part of developing decolonial research processes, ensuring the implementation of Indigenous methods in STBBI research, and increasing the sexual health and wellbeing of Inuit, Métis, and First Nations communities through the development of culturally and ethically responsive research (Flicker et al., 2015; Hillier 2020; O’Brien et al., 2020). This study sought to expand upon and connect current literature with the expertise and guidance of Indigenous Elders who have been involved in STBBI research. Thirteen Elders were recruited nationwide to participate in three virtual Talking Circles to explore their meaningful partnership in Indigenous STBBI research and to offer guidance to researchers on how to strengthen these research partnerships in the future. Five overarching themes emerged from the thematic analysis of these Talking Circles: (1) Understanding the historical and ongoing impacts of colonialism and the need to decolonize STBBI research; (2) Prioritizing the knowledge and lived experience of Elders and Indigenous people living with STBBI throughout the research process; (3) Centering spirituality and ceremony in Indigenous STBBI research; (4) The importance of implementing Indigenous methodologies in STBBI research; and (5) Foregrounding Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and doing in STBBI research. This study offers future Indigenous STBBI researchers a robust foundation to build meaningful research partnerships with Elders to improve STBBI research and benefit the sexual health and wellbeing of Métis, Inuit, and First Nations communities. / Thesis / Master of Social Work (MSW)

Цель работы – исследовать пути повышения эффективности инвестиционной деятельности компании (на примере АО «KEGOC»). Предложена методика расчета интегрального показателя оценки ее эффективности инвестиционной политики на основе применения параметров функции желательности, что повышает объективность расчетов при определении эффективности инвестиционной политики. / Relevance of the research topic: In the economic process, investments occupy a central place, which in turn determines the overall growth of the enterprise's economy. As a result of investment in industries and enterprises, production volumes are increasing, income is growing, economic competition between them is developing and moving ahead. The purpose of the work is to investigate ways to improve the efficiency of the company's investment activity (by the example of KEGOC JSC). The methodology for calculating the integral indicator of the assessment of its effectiveness of investment policy based on the application of parameters of the desirability function is proposed, which increases the objectivity of calculations in determining the effectiveness of investment policy.
