Estetická zkušenost jako zkušenost náboženská: Gadamer a Luther. / The esthetical experience as a religious experience: Gadamer and Luther.

Taufer, Filip January 2020 (has links)
H.-G. Gadamer prirovnáva skúsenosť umeleckého diela k hre, symbolu a slávnosti a v kontexte symbolu ďalej k náboženskému rituálu - Večeri Pánovej v poňatí Martina Luthera.

Ruptured nations, collective memory & religious violence : mapping a secularist ethics in post-partition South Asian literature and film / Ruptured nations, collective memory and religious violence

Kumar, Priya Haryant. January 2001 (has links)
This dissertation maps the emergence of a 'secularist ethics' in post-independence South Asian literature and film, an ethics which is a deeply felt poetic response to particular historical conjunctures marked by religio-nationalist conflict in the Indian subcontinent. It is my argument that literary and cultural productions, in striving to dream and envision a world free of violence, terror and religious intolerance, have some central contributions to make to contemporary intellectual and political debates on secularism. Through close readings of fictions by Salman Rushdie, Amitav Ghosh, Mukul Kesavan, Bapsi Sidhwa, Saadat Hasan Manto, Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, Rajinder Singh Bedi, Jamila Hashmi, Jyotirmoyee Devi, and Lalithambika Antherjanam, as well as films by M. S. Sathyu, Saeed Akhtar Mirza, Khalid Mohamed and Shyam Benegal, which are concerned to address the issue of peaceful co-existence between different religious communities and nations in the Indian subcontinent, I argue that literary and imaginative endeavors by way of their alternative secularist imaginaries enable us to begin to imagine the possibilities of more habitable futures. Significantly, the 'secularist' fictions and films I invite attention to in my project enable a revisioning of the secular in terms quite different from normative understandings of liberal secularism. Such a renewed secularism seeks to make visible the normalization and neutralization of majoritarian religious beliefs and practices as constitutive of the representative secular-nationalist self in post-Partition India; it also emerges, significantly, from a gendered critique of the deep-seated patriarchal norms underlying most religious communities. Responding to different moments of crisis, predominantly the Partition of India in 1947, the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, and the destruction of the Babri Masjid in 1992, the radical secularist poetics of these works call attention to the fundamentalist agenda of Hindu nationalism, the limit

Pentecostalismo e religiosidade brasileira / Pentecostalism and Brazilian religious scenario

Macedo, Emiliano Unzer 30 May 2007 (has links)
This study intends to understand cultural elements in Brazilian popular religiosity through its colonial past up to the recent growth of Pentecostal creeds, the latter presenting new costumes and beliefs. Brazilian religious scenario since colonial times is rich in diversity, tolerance and mostly in syncretism. Such a scenario is an outcome from various ethnic groups living in the country: Indigenous, Portuguese and Afro-Brazilians. In order to analyze Brazilian religious aspects we used the theoretical concept of cultural hybridism specifically in its creative transcendence category. With the arrival of historical Protestants in the country - remaining restricted in ethnic and socioeconomic terms - new attitudes and costumes were presented in Brazilian religiosity. But Pentecostalism, a branch of Protestantism, showed greater flexibility and achieved to spread and became popular. The study aims to understand how this process came to be. Nevertheless, only some Pentecostal denominations in the country and abroad showed dynamism and adaptability. The most notable case of success is one of its most recent, the Universal Church of Kingdom of God (Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus), presenting some new religious features. We finish with a case study taking the city of Vitória, state of Espírito Santo, as parameter where a field research allowed us to comprehend peculiar features in Pentecostalism and recent changes in Brazilian religious scenario.

Religion is a human manifestation that interpellates for its origin and its destination, and is present in all places and cultures. Thus, religious plurality is in the world, and everybody hopes to, somehow, feel good already in this life, and, for those who believe, there is hope for a peaceful life after death. This dissertation certainly does not intend to provide a complete treatment on the theological and philosophical issues raised by religious pluralism, nor does it present a historical overview of the attitudes adopted by Christians and non-Christians, but it focuses on the current debate around the arguments for and against the salvific possibilities presented by the great religious traditions of the world. Therefore, we seek the most important contemporary thinkers to compose our bibliographic list that could produce a dialectic enters the theoretical principles of religious pluralism.

Concerning this problematic, the present dissertation intends to show its relevance to society, focusing its contribution to overtake social exclusion and, consequently, its relation to Education for Solidarity. From this perspective, to concretize this objective, we consider some fundamental concepts like education, neoliberalism, social exclusion, solidarity, life sense, epistemological, ethic and espiritual conversion. We also present three Religious Teaching models, which are the Religious Teaching National Permanente Forum, the Education for Religiosity and the Confessional, pointing and reflecting on its pedagogical proposals, as well as the positive aspects and some limitations imposed by them that we must take into consideration when using any of these models. As methodological procedures, we opted for the bibliographical research. Jung Mo Sung and Hugo Assmann are the authors who made the fundaments and justificated, more precisely, the pertinence of Education for Solidarity with Religious Teaching. With this work, we intend to propose that the Religious Teaching discipline must be comprehended and respected by everyone involved in education, because this discipline, while auxiliaring the educational process in the combat to social exclusion, ends to have a precise participation in our society.(AU) / A disciplina de Ensino Religioso, por passar desapercebida e ser entendida como de menor importância, acaba não recebendo o devido valor na grande maioria das escolas públicas e, também, na Academia.

Pathophysiology and evaluation of food intolerance to soy using an atopic dog model

Kennis, Robert Allen 30 September 2004 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to test the hypothesis that dogs sensitized to soy antigen would produce significantly greater amounts of antigen specific IgE antibody compared to a control population before and after challenges with soy, hydrolyzed soy, and non-soy diets. Further, we sought to evaluate important allergenic components of soy using Western blot analysis. Lastly, absorption and mucosal function testing using inert sugars were evaluated for our sensitized and non-sensitized controls. Eight dogs (6 female, 2 male) were sensitized to whole soy using an established protocol. Seven dogs (3 female, 4 male) roughly age matched were used as controls. The dogs were randomly split into three groups. All dogs were fed an elimination diet of egg and Brewer's rice for six weeks. Samples were collected and each group was fed a diet of soy and rice flour, hydrolyzed soy and rice flour, or corn and rice flour for three weeks. Samples were collected and each group was fed the elimination diet followed by challenge with each of the diets. Serum was collected and stored for allergen specific IgE semi-quantitation and Western blot analysis using whole soy fractionated into globulin and whey components. A solution of monosaccharide and disaccharide sugars was administered in a volume determined by weight. Six hours after administration the dogs were catheterized and the entire urine volume was collected for measurement of sugar recovery by high pressure chromatography, followed by pulsed amphometric detection. There was a statistically significant difference in serum IgE between sensitized and control dogs after the elimination diet, and also for each of the challenged diets. There were differences detected by Western blot analysis for allergens within the soy globulin and whey fractions for sensitized dogs compared to control dogs. There were no significant differences between sensitized and control dogs for sugar recovery for any of the diets. We conclude that although there were significant differences in measurable IgE between sensitized and control dogs, we were unable to differentiate these groups using gastrointestinal mucosal permeability and function testing.

Rezension zu: Martin Christ, Biographies of a Reformation. Religious Change and Confessional Coexistence in Upper Lusatia, 1520–1635. (Studies in German History.)

Kästner, Alexander 02 December 2022 (has links)
