”Livet blir liksom lite roligare, busigare och fantasifullare om dockor är med i förskolans verksamhet” : Hur dockan används för kommunikation med grund i forskning / “Life becomes a little more fun, mischievous and more imaginative if dolls are involved in the preschool's activities” : How the doll is used for communication based of earlier research

Esberg Högsten, Ida January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to find out if dolls are used as an artifact in preschools for communication, language and identity development - based on previous research. It also examines the teachers' opinions about what a doll or puppet is. To be able to look in to this I sent out a survey with questions and got responses from 176 informants within the preschool. The result shows that dolls are frequently used by many preschool teachers, but around 40-50% had not taken part in any research or education on the subject. The result also shows that the teachers usually associates the word ‘doll’ with baby dolls”. Some conclusions I can see after this study is that the dolls place in the preschool is determined based on adults' opinions about it. The doll is often used as a communicative tool but not always consciously or with a basis in research.

Humanité désirée, humanité simulée : etude de l'effet de présence dans les objets anthropomorphiques au Japon / Desired humanity, simulated humanity : study of the effect of presence in the anthropomorphic objects in Japan

Giard, Agnès 29 June 2015 (has links)
Most of the artificial life systems produced in Japan are designed to create a humanlike presence. My researches target the market of life-size dolls equipped with articulated skeleton and a silicone flesh truer than nature. More precisely, it relates to these love doll that less than a dozen companies are currently improving, establishing themselves as the world leaders in this pioneer field. One company particularly got my attention : Orient Industry – the first company in the history of japanese doll business – plays a key role in driving innovation. I focused on the manufacturing process of these products marketed as “substitute wives”, trying to understand how engineers, designers and trade marketing specialists give the doll the appearance of a thinking and feeling being. It appeared that they did not try to create an exact reproduction of a person, but – on the contrary –, something unreal, empty and incomplete. My goal was ultimely to understand the way interaction with objects could be made possible in Japan, through dolls developed as “vacant vehicles”… The study of these realistic bodies led me to understand how Japanese succeed in creating life and consciousness out of inanimate objects. The thesis is composed of three parts which deal with the main aspects of the love doll : she is talked about as a “substitute” (migawari), as a “mirror” (kagami) and as a “double” (bunshin). These three words are the most oftenpronounced by its creators as much as by its users. They correspond to three discourses which contribute to brand the love doll as collective and interactive work aiming, in the guise of game, to build the concept of human.

Co děti dělají, když si hrají? Úkony hry s panenkou a s autíčkem / What do children do when they play? Acts of game with a doll and a toy car

Zborníková, Dana January 2016 (has links)
Game is a key activity in preschool age, theme of my thesis is therefore related to acts of game and a role of toys in this particular age. Aim of my research is to describe gaming activities with toys, primarily with a doll and a toy car, which are the most typical toys for preschool children. It is very important for kindergarten teachers to know childrens preferences and attitude to the most used types of toys, because it is them, who choose the offer of toys and equipment of class. In theoretical part, I try to find out which areas of development are affected by game. Practical part deals with a semi-structured observation of game process and it determines game's gender dimension. By a method of interview with 27 parents and 25 children I try to find out their knowledge of basic toys, choice of toy itself, which toys kids possess and which toys they prefer. It can be expected, that preschool age children have built a basic gender identity, that is perceived by them as partly changeable. For this reason, my research focuses on gender distinctiveness, which could occur during an interview or a game. The research has proved gender categorization of dolls and toy cars. Children and parents had both a similar idea about toys intended for boys or girls. Children have about 200 different toys at...

Hry s autíčky a panenkami z pohledu psychologie činnosti / Plays with toy cars and dolls from the perspective of the activity theory

Erhartová, Nikola January 2017 (has links)
The thesis is focused on plays of preschool children with toy cars and dolls in kindergarten. The work is based especially on the activity theory. According to it the game is an essential activity of children and it has an influence on their development. Knowing that the game can be beneficial for children, I set as the main objective of the work to find out which actions with toys are performed and which areas they may develop. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part presents basis of the work. It contains four main chapters which deal with the preschool period, toy and play in a child's life and play from the perspective of the activity theory. The qualitative research is described in the empirical part. The main method for acquiring data was observation. I observed 30 plays total that were analyzed subsequently. Interviews were conducted as additional method. The research sample consisted of 15 children. On the basis of play analysis I have found out that toys were used individually or in the gender homogeneous groups. Gender mixed play was observed only in two cases during a play with car/train toys. Boys played both with car toys and dolls. Girls played with dolls, they did not choose car toys on their own. From the viewpoint of the play content the...

To do so, it was initially done a theoretical study of this theater, detailing its key elements, and thus allowing a direct analysis of the film to be made. The main objective here was to reveal the film‟s connections with the Bunraku. The Sangyo refers to the simultaneous presence of three arts in the Bunraku theater: the narrative, the music and the manipulation of puppets. In Dolls, the director Takeshi Kitano presents a narrative through three different stories, all built with references to the Bunraku. As in the theater the three distinct arts harmonize on stage, in Dolls three separate stories will perform in harmony within the film. By confronting the Bunraku Theater with the film Dolls, the intention is to establish the connections between the scenic language of the Bunraku, the dramaturgy of Chikamatsu and also the cinema of Kitano. These connections allow to the understanding of how characteristics of a secular art, governed by strong rules and conventions, can be presented again through another language: the cinematic language and its particular set of codes and conventions / Este trabalho tem por finalidade investigar as rela??es existentes entre o Teatro Bunraku e o filme Dolls (2002) do diretor japon?s Takeshi Kitano.

This research, through the perspective of Folk communication (a theory conceived by the journalist Luiz Beltrão in the 1960's to study popular-level communication procedures), aims at understanding the mediatic scenarios, contexts and processes that involve production, sale and comprehension of the meanings acquired by "Gravatá’s Lucky Doll", as well as the sort of contribution it enables to local development. As for data collection one has used: field, bibliographic and documentary researches, besides publications on the internet, interviews, photo records and interviews with social actors in charge of manufacturing and commercializing the object. Through these elements, one has revealed the aspects that justify the popularity of such lucky doll and its plural significations. This study comprises cultural and social content, symbolic and discursive content, re-signification, re-functionalization and reconversion, as well as folkmarketing, marketing and institutional communication strategies which influence the object, thus leading to visualize to what extent the lucky doll may represent and foster local development.

Parent Adaptive Doll Play with Children Experiencing Parental Separation/Divorce

Brennan, Carol A. (Carol Ann) 12 1900 (has links)
Parent Adaptive Doll Play, a technique in an early stage of development, is designed for use by parents in assisting their young children to cope with the stresses of parental separation/divorce. The effects of technique implementation by parents of three- through six-year-old children were investigated. Data was collected before and after parents received training and implemented the technique over an eight-week period. Parents completed the Child Behavior Rating Scale, Burks' Behavior Rating Scales, the Parenting Stress Index, and the Parental Attitude Scale. Twenty-two parents, reporting marital separation through separation and/or divorce, within 18 months prior to the beginning of the study, and reporting more than 50 percent physical custody of a three- through six-year-old child qualified for participation. Twelve children were experimental subjects and ten were control subjects. To determine differences between groups, a one-way analysis of covariance was performed on each post test variable. Positive differences were calculated in several areas of child behavior by parents of subjects in the experimental group. No significant differences between groups were found in any area of child behavior. The score which most closely approached significance, however, was found in the Burks' Behavior Rating Scale area of poor anger control.
