Keltsko křesťanská spiritualita v období raného středověku / Celtic Christian Spirituality in the Time of Early Middle Age

LEBAROVÁ, Dorotea January 2008 (has links)
This work deals with Christian tradition in Ireland and northwest Scotland in period from 5th to 12th century. The work is divided into two parts. The first one is an introduction into historical and cultural context. In the second one I used a religious model of Mr. Ninian Smart who distinguishes religion into seven dimensions. That dimensions are doctrinal, mythological, ritual, social, ethic, emotional and artistic. In each of these dimensions I deal with about four topics which are typical for Celtic {--} Christian tradition and on them I illustrate the uniqueness of that tradition. That uniqueness is in high ability for enculturation of Christianity together with ability for new innovative approaches. Some of these new approaches are introduction of new penitential practice, phenomenon of pilgrimage or interconnectedness of monasticism with apostolate.

Jägerová, Julie January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse perception of political and social changes by Catholic Marian communities under two authoritarian regimes, namely the Vichy regime in France and independent Slovak state. Both political entities emerged due to aggression by Nazi Germany during the Second World War. Both founded their traditionalist ideology on Christian values. The object of this study are two groups of clergy which were involved in Marian pilgrimage sites in French La Salette and Slovak Šaštín. Main sources, on which the study is based, are periodicals published by communities administering the pilgrimage sites. These are Annales de Notre-Dame de La Salette a Bulletin des Missionnaires de Notre-Dame de La Salette in case of France and Saleziánske zvesti in case of Slovakia. While analysing the text, the author focuses on the reflection of several basic themes - military conflict in Europe, demise of the previous regime and emergence of a new state. At the same time, the author describes the fundamental characteristics of the Marian cult at the time of its creation during the war. The concluding part offers an application of comparative perspective on the two case studies with the aim to indicate their similar and distinct characteristics. No. of bitstreams: 1 paulo_cesar_lima_andrelino.pdf: 43330832 bytes, checksum: 97550f30781c9637c584b130b66ec642 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013-08-05 / The work aimed to make a critical analysis of the direct involvement of the person with the pilgrim trade a reality in the city of Juazeiro, where the visitor becomes significant amount of money. Above all, profit is sought, which allows to do a reading of the pilgrim not a creature, but as a benchmark for monetary value, enmeshed in consumerist market that is interwoven between goods and people who seek only the financial benefits. The shops, hostels and all other commercial establishments crave the long-awaited pilgrimage periods, certain guarantee economic stability until the next event that marks the timing of trips to the land of Father Cicero. Though faith and market mix, the pilgrim, devotee of fact, the sacred quest using a variety of routes and rituals to thank some grace achieved in previous times. The churches of the city favor the pilgrims with nonstop celebrations, although they also open their coffers for them to materialize the feelings of grateful pilgrims. The pomp often witnessed in Masses celebrated with the pilgrims allows them to perceive to be the temple-church where more easily God hears your prayers and entreaties. Therefore, the research is guided by reflecting this reality, analyzing prudently and judiciously logic, the attitudes of the pilgrims, the market and the Catholic Church opposite the relationship between the sacred - manifest in the practice of pilgrimages - and profane - personified in the consumption of objects, sacred or not, the market exposed the "holy city".

The assignment of the diploma thesis was created using a combination of discovered data – design of the site of pilgrimage including a church and spiritual centre. This thesis deals with the design of a church as a site of pilgrimage, facilities, accomodation for clergymen and pilgrims. The composition is based on three main objects – church, entrance house and accomodation. The composition is complemented by campanile and „baptistery“. An object itself has two above-ground floors and basement with spa. Some of the spaces in the building have to be functionally separated due to different approach of visitors. Part of the building is a garden which is ideologically and functionally inspired by monastery claustrum.

Camino de Santiago: poutnictví jako faktor regionálního vývoje / Camino de Santiago: pilgrimage as the phenomenom of regional development

Vaverková, Inka January 2010 (has links)
The Way to Saint James is presented from two points of view. First, its character and its position in the pilgrimage - tourism continuum are subjects of the research. The position's analysis is based on dataset created by the Office for pilgrims in Santiago de Compostela about the pilgrims' motivation. The pilgrimage's position in the pilgrimage - tourism continuum has been getting closer to the limit between the spiritual and the profane during last years but it has not been reached yet. Then, the influence of the pilgrimage in a regional development is analyzed. The existence of the diffusion effect is examined in a study of model localities. The towns of Palas de Rei and Taboada, both in the Lugo region, have been chosen to examine the existence of this influence. The towns of Puente la Reina/Gares in the Navarra region, Nájera in the La Rioja region, Sahagún in the León region and Palas de Rein in the Lugo region have been chosen to examine the diffusion effect. The existence of the regional development is confirmed by increasing number of hotels and restaurants but not in the socioeconomic development. The diffusion effect is not confirmed. KEY WORDS: geography of religion, religious tourism, Spain, Way to Saint James (Camino de Santiago), pilgrimage - tourism continuum, diffusion efect
