[pt] O projeto de rompimento com a metafísica se constitui como o primeiro passo para aquilo que Nietzsche se coloca como sendo sua tarefa: o favorecimento da aparição de um certo tipo de cultura e de um certo tipo de homem . Assim, a crítica nietzschiana servirá à exposição sobre como se perpetuou o desprezo pelo corpo no âmbito do conhecimento filosófico, a partir da construção de sistemas conceituais erigidos com base na crença na ideia de verdade e em uma atitude de negação da vida. Para Nietzsche, todo conhecimento se dá como apropriação interpretativa da experiência, que tem na dinâmica pulsional sua regência afetiva. Pelo método genealógico, Nietzsche problematiza o descompasso corpo-pensamento como tendo origem no salto do animal-homem ao homem-animal-cultural. [pt] A segmentação social dos sujeitos contemporâneos em diversos agrupamentos, constituindo referências identitárias que se organizam e se expressam por meio de manifestações culturais específicas, parece ser a marca atual de uma nova ordem social e política. Nesta perspectiva, analisar a especificidade das diversas manifestações da juventude requer uma delimitação desta ampla categoria, que no caso da presente pesquisa se concretiza a partir da cultura Hip Hop. Portanto, juventude e cultura Hip Hop se constituem mutuamente, apresentando especificidades que apontam para novas modalidades de ação política como modos de produção da cultura e da subjetividade de determinados grupos de jovens habitantes das periferias dos grandes centros urbanos. A criação de modos de expressão que legitimam espaços de voz e de ação política de jovens marginalizados se configura como um dos modos de apropriação e recriação da cultura no mundo globalizado e excludente. Tendo por base diversas fontes documentais, tais como, observações de grupos específicos de jovens que desenvolvem atividades culturais com apoio de ONGs, entrevistas gravadas em vídeo com jovens participantes da cultura Hip Hop, relatórios de encontros e mesas redondas com a participação de lideranças expressivas do universo Hip Hop, pretendeu-se analisar e discutir as táticas de sobrevivência e de re-invenção do cotidiano, nos termos de Michel de Certeau, desenvolvidas por estes grupos de jovens como formas de reação aos processos de exclusão social. Nossa análise do lugar social e político ocupado pela juventude Hip Hop, coincide com a visão apresentada por Milton Santos, quando este autor enfatiza que a grande parte da população excluída do mercado global, ou que sobrevive à margem da contabilidade pública oficial, cria uma cultura própria, endógena, resistente, que constitui uma base sólida para a produção de uma política. A tomada de consciência trazida pelo enraizamento no meio, pelo território comum e pela experiência da escassez torna possível a produção de projetos e ações políticas como modos genuínos de resistência. O uso criativo da cultura Hip Hop, por determinados setores da juventude, é, portanto, tomado aqui como estratégia de luta e de re-invenção dos modos de fazer política no mundo contemporâneo. / [en] The social segmentation of the citizens contemporaries in diverse groupings, constituting references of identity which organize and express by specific cultural demonstrations, seems to be the current mark of a new social order and politics. In this perspective, to analyze the specific of the diverse demonstrations of youth, requires a delimitation of the ample category, in the case of the present research, it materialize from the culture Hip Hop. Therefore, youth and culture Hip Hop together presenting specifics of production of the culture and the subjectivity of determined groups of young habitants of the peripheries from great and urban centers. The creation of expression ways that legitimize the action and voice space politics of kept out of society young it configures as one in the ways of appropriation and recreation of the culture in the global and excluded world. Having bases of diverse document develops cultural interviews in video with young participants of the culture Hip Hop, reports meeting and round tables with the participation of great leaderships of sources, such as, comments of specifics groups of young that the universe Hip Hop, it was intended to analyze and to argue the tactics of survival and reinvention of the daily one, in the terms of Michel de Certeau, developed for these groups of young as form of reaction to the processes of social exclusion. Our analysis of the social place and busy politician for youth Hip Hop, it coincides with the vision of Milton Santos, when the author emphasizes that the great part of the excluded population of the global market, or that the survives the edge of official public accounting, it creates a proper culture, endogenous, resistant, that it constitutes a solid base for the production of one politics. The taking of conscience brought for the rooted way, for the common territory and for experience of the scarcity becomes possible the production of projects and action politics as genuine way of resistance. [pt] A dissertação: O audiovisual na contemporaneidade - uma linguagem mundializada. discute as relações entre as várias mídias que compõem o audiovisual e suas influências entre si para tentar entender qual sua estética particular ou se existe uma estética comum a todas, uma estética mundializada. O ponto de partida é a tão criticada estética publicitária no cinema brasileiro atual, que é analisada tendo como base alguns autores como Edgar Morin, Andreas Huyssen e Renato Ortiz. Alguns cineastas brasileiros, como Guel Arraes, Cláudio Torres e Fernando Meirelles, bem como comerciais de televisão também serão analisados. / [en] The dissertation The contemporary audiovisual - a worldy language discusses the relations between the several medias that compose the audiovisual and their influences amongst one another, in order to understand wether there is one specific aesthethic for each one of them or if there is a general one that englobes all these medias, a wordly aesthethic. Our starting point is the over-criticized advertisement aesthethic in contemporary Brazilian film, wich we analize based on the works of Edgar Morin, Andreas Huyssen and Renato Ortiz. Some of the Brazilian filmakers that fit into our discussion, such as, Guel Arraes, Cláudio Torres and Fernando Meirelles, as well as television comercials, will also be analized.

[pt] Esta pesquisa pretende fazer o inventário dos mais significativos exemplos de pintura mural decorativa da tradição oitocentista das fazendas do Vale do Paraíba. A partir do material obtido, o objetivo principal do trabalho é analisar e classificar tipologicamente os diferentes murais encontrados através de pesquisa teórica, observações e análise gráfica do objeto em questão, assim como a compreensão do contexto social e cultural em que surgiu este tipo de decoração no século XIX e que ainda hoje é produzido tanto no interior quanto na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Partindo de observações que evidenciam a recorrência da decoração mural européia, uma mesma linguagem visual e a questão simbólica das temáticas representadas, o trabalho busca mostrar a existência de uma tradição do que diz respeito à utilização de pinturas murais decorativas nos interiores domésticos das casas rurais da região do Vale do Paraíba. Esta pesquisa pretende também ressaltar a importância destes murais enquanto documentos iconográficos, portanto memória de uma época significativa, indispensável na preservação dos elementos simbólicos que conferem identidade regional e nacional. / [en] This work deals with the assessment of the most significant examples of the decorative mural paintings carried out during the 19th century in the Vale do Paraíba coffee farms. The aim of the study is to analyze and classify the typology of the murals found in different sites based on a theoretical fundamental approach, observations and analysis of the several paintings, considering the social and cultural context in which this particular kind of decoration arose in that century and is still considered as an important form of art appearance in the city of Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings. Starting from the observations of the farm paintings, one may suggest that they are deeply connected with the European painting heritage, which means they present the same visual language and symbolism, depicting so, the importance of such cultural expression in the interior of farmer`s houses or constructions in the Vale do Paraíba region. Finally, this research points out the importance of the mural paintings as iconographic references, and so, part of a remembrance of an important period of the Brazilian history in the course of its representative elements that give regional and national distinctiveness.

[pt] Bordado como assinatura: tradição e inovação do artesanato na comunidade de Barateiro - Itapajé/CE é uma pesquisa realizada para o mestrado do Departamento de Artes e Design, da PUC - Rio que teve como objetivo principal estudar as questões sócio-culturais da comunidade de Barateiro (Itapajé/CE), sobretudo focalizando o processo de criação dos bordados produzidos na comunidade e o propósito de reinventar as tradições artesanais, a partir do referencial imagético e cotidiano do grupo, após a intervenção promovida pelo Programa de Revitalização do Artesanato de Itapajé - PRA-ITA. / [en] Embroidery as signature: tradition and innovation of the craft in Barateiro s community - Itapaj/CE is a research accomplished for the master´s degree of the Department of Arts and Design, of PUC - Rio that had as main objective to study Barateiro s community partner-cultural subjects (Itapaj/CE), above all focusing the process of creation of the embroideries produced in the community and the purpose of reinventing the craft traditions, starting from the subjective referential and daily of the group, after the intervention promoted by the Programa de Revitalização do Artesanato de Itapaj - PRA-ITA.

[pt] Este trabalho tem como propósito analisar iniciativas que buscaram constituir, no Brasil, um público de leitores. Para realizá-lo foi necessário indagar que tipo de leitor se tinha em mente quando se afirmava, tendo como certa a escassez de leitores no país, a necessidade de criar mecanismos para incentivar a leitura. Tal indagação tornou imprescindível o exame de textos através dos quais pudessem ser depreendidas diferentes representações do leitor, evidenciadas nas intenções e gestos de gestores públicos, intelectuais, editores, políticos e outros personagens atuantes no período abordado - isto é, aquele que se inaugura com a chegada no Rio de Janeiro dos primeiros prelos, em 1808, e se estende até 1945, quando tem fim a gestão de Gustavo Capanema no Ministério da Educação e Saúde do governo de Getúlio Vargas, em 1945. Além de escritos de natureza jornalística e política, foram incluídos no corpus da dissertação textos ficcionais, dentre outros, romances de Machado de Assis, Lima Barreto e Graciliano Ramos. / [en] The aim of this dissertation is to analyze historical projects that intended to construct a readers community in Brazil from 1808 - the beginning of press in Brazil - until to 1945 - last year of Gustavo Capanema in the Education and Health Ministery of Brazil. Considering such aim, it is analyzed which type of reader was legitimated when it was asserted that it would be necessary to improve reading. It was also analyzed why it was considered evident the fact that there weren´t readers in Brazil. For this analysis, representations of readers, that is intentionalities and gestures of intellectuals, politicians, public managers, editors and other social actors, were researched in different texts, such as newspapers, legislative texts, besides literature, especially Machado de Assis, Lima Barreto and Graciliano Ramos´ novels.

[pt] Esta dissertação pretende, através da análise de contos e romances de autores brasileiros considerados canônicos, publicados do final do Século XIX ao fim do Século XX, investigar as representações do professor e da escola na literatura brasileira, verificando, a partir dos conceitos de intertextualidade em Bakhtin e de representação em Roger Chartier, pontos de encontro e desencontro entre a história da educação e a produção literária. Contrapõe-se a análise a estudos recentes sobre a representação do trabalho docente em filmes, revistas e livros infanto-juvenis. Depoimentos de professores da PUC-Rio completam o trabalho. / [en] Aims to investigate the representation of teachers and of schools in the Brazilian literature, through the analysis of short stories and novels from consecrated Brazilian authors published in the period comprising the end of the nineteenth century and the end of the twentieth century. The analysis is conducted taking into account Bakhtin`s concept of intertextuality and Roger Chartier`s concept of representation, verifying areas of match and mismatch between the history of education in Brazil and its literary production. For this purpose, this analysis is also confronted with other recent studies on the representations of the teaching profession in films, magazines, and children`s/youth book. Finally, professors` views are also brought into this analysis, in an attempt to complement this study.

[pt] Até hoje a maioria das construções empregam técnicas materiais e processos inadequados, resultando em enorme perda de energia e pouco ganho na relação custo/benefício. A grande maioria das pessoas envolvidas com problemas de construção não se conscientizou ainda do fato que construímos de maneira errada, consumindo materiais e energia em excesso em relação aos resultados obtidos. Ao longo de toda a história da construção conhecida, o homem se serviu da força da Gravidade para conseguir a estabilidade das suas estruturas. Nas grandes obras antigas e atuais os materiais empregados: pedra, tijolo, ferro, cimento são de pouca eficácia construtiva quando consideramos a relação resistência/peso. Tomando por base as teorias e experiências com a técnica tensegrity de se montar estruturas, desenvolvidas por Keneth Snelson e Richard Buckminster Fuller, e partindo dos estudos com estruturas empregando bambu como elemento comprimido que vêm sendo desenvolvidos à 20 anos pelo LILD/PUC- Laboratório de Investigação de Living Design (antigo LOTDP), além de aplicar os princípios físicos da Tensegrity como técnica de construção, propõe-se aqui o desenvovimento de objetos físicos inéditos para utilização em áreas remotas ou de Proteção Ambiental. Estas estruturas são feitas em material natural reciclável e biodegradável, de fácil manejo, e utilizam tecnologia de baixa complexidade para a sua montagem. Elas são pouco invasivas porque, sendo auto-portantes, dispensam fundações pesadas para existir e resistir. / [en] Till our days most of the constructions of buildings make use of very inadequate and obsolete materials resulting in a huge waste of energy and little gain in the relation cost/benfit. However, many people involved with construction problems, did not realize the fact that we build the wrong way consuming materials and energy in excess in relation to the desired goals. Along the known history of construction men served themselves only of the force of Gravity to obtain the stability of their structures. In all great, ancient and actual constructions, the materials employied, such as: stone, brick, iron, concrete, are of low building efficiency if we consider the relation strength/weight. Taking into account the theories and experiences with tensegrity techniques developed by Keneth Snelson and Richard Buckminster Fuller, and, starting from the studies with bambu structures, where bambu is the only compressed element, which is in course for 20 years now in the LILD- PUC-Rio (Laboratory of Living Design (former LOTDP), and applying the physical principles of Tensegrity as a building technique, our goal here is to develop real objects to be used in remote areas or National Parks. These structures, because of the reciclable materials of which they are made, are very easy to manipulate and need very low technology for the constructions made with them. Finally these structures are harmless to the environment because they are self suporting exempting the need of heavy foundations to exist and resist.

[pt] Este trabalho visa realizar uma análise do processo de institucionalização da educação ambiental (EA) brasileira. Para tal, discute as tensões, consensos, distanciamentos entre os principais setores protagonistas da EA no Brasil: as instâncias oficiais da EA no âmbito do governo federal e a REBEA (Rede Brasileira de Educação Ambiental). O estudo sustenta sua análise na perspectiva da teoria crítica, discute as relações entre estado e sociedade no campo da EA pelo viés de Souza Santos, tece considerações sobre a estruturação e organização do movimento ambientalista no campo da EA, em rede, adotando a perspectiva das redes preconizada por Castells, Latour, Maturana e outros. A pesquisa apresenta uma análise da trajetória histórico- política da EA brasileira, bem como trabalho de campo que pode ser descrito como uma consulta a alguns educadores ambientais. Foram entrevistados três grupos: atores dirigentes governamentais, facilitadores da REBEA e participantes da REBEA com visões antagônicas a atual secretaria executiva dessa rede. Os resultado das entrevistas contribuíram para a compreensão do processo de institucionalização da EA no Brasil, uma vez que cada grupo representou um espaço diferente neste processo.Podemos concluir que foi possível identificar neste trabalho a institucionalização da EA no Brasil tanto no seu aspecto jurídico quanto político. Observou-se também que há uma postura de parceria entre os movimentos sociais, representados pela REBEA, em substituição a, ainda existente nos anos 2000, postura reivindicatória e denuncista mais presente nos movimentos sociais nos anos 80. Desta forma, identificou-se a institucionalização da EA ocorreu de forma consoante com o movimento de redemocratização do país, refletido também em outras áreas de governo. Pôde-se observar a participação da REBEA no fomento e na produção de políticas públicas para atender as novas demandas sociais, bem como se verificou que a REBEA teve uma participação importante na formação dos quadros ministeriais no âmbito do governo federal, participando das linhas de atuação, programas e ações de governo. Com as estruturas de Estado sendo ocupadas por pessoas de origem na REBEA, o movimento social representado neste setor, acabou servindo como eixo propagador, disseminador das políticas e ações de governo, criando tensões e aproximações características que marcam o cenário da EA nacional. / [en] The work analyses the institutionalization process of Environmental Education (EE) in Brazil, stressing its tensions, consents amd fissures among the main brazilian protagonists in EE: on the one side the legal instances of Federal Government; on the other side the REBEA (Brazilian Web of Environmental Education). The theoretical frameworkis based on the critical theory, developed by Souza Santos, Castells, Latour and Maturana, about the State and the civil society relationships, their structural and organizational tensions and links in the EE field, from the viewpoint of web network. A qualitative research analyses the historical - political trajectories of EE, as well as the field works of brazilian educators. Interviews were carried among three groups: government leaders, REBEA practionners and other associates opposing the present secretariat of the institution.the research findings help to understand the EE institutionalization process, since each group reveals different spaces in its web network. The work conclusions stress the juridical and political issues of this institutionalization. Hence it pint-points partnership among the social movements represented inside REBEA, thar substituted the mostly pressuring and denouncing attitudes in 1980 decade. It stresses also that the EE institutionalization process follows the redemocratizations of Brazil, with refletions in other governamental areas. So it is observed REBEA participation in the development of public policies, both reflecting new demands of the civil society and participating in government actions and programs. It emphasizes also that State strutures were occupied by incumbents associated to REBEA, in such a way as to turn it as axis in disseminating actions and policies that reproduce tensions and links characteristic of the EE present scenario in Brazil.

[pt] Dentro de instituições escolares, algumas práticas reproduzem situações de exclusão e violência, marcando não só o percurso escolar como também a vida de alunos, enquanto outras permitem a ruptura deste ciclo vicioso. Este trabalho tem como objetivo discorrer sobre as especificidades do sistema escolar enquanto fator diferencial na formação dos alunos, identificando práticas que, através do reconhecimento dos sujeitos e de sua cultura, introduzem possibilidades de transformação. A criação de um grupo de música, dança e teatro tendo por tema a Folia de Reis dentro de uma escola pública da Zona Sul do Rio de Janeiro será tema de uma pesquisa de campo, estudandose um procedimento que, advindo da iniciativa de crianças e jovens até então excluídos do processo de alfabetização, tem possibilitado a estes alunos ocupar um novo lugar no sistema instituinte. Assim, enfatizando o potencial criativo, busca-se pensar sobre as diversas práticas que facilitam a instalação do que será chamado de Ciclo Virtuoso nas relações sociais destas crianças e jovens, garantindo-lhes a construção de um novo percurso em suas vidas. / [en] In educational system some practices lead children to environments of exclusion and violence, pressing not only their scholar time but also their lives. By other side, we have other practices that could allow them breaking to which is called here vicious cycle. This paper has as main target talks about school system’s own characteristics as a differential factor in student’s formation, detecting practices that, trough the recognition of subjects and their culture, insert possibilities of transformation. The birth of a musical and dancing theater, having as a theme Folia de Reis in a public school in the Southern District of Rio de Janeiro, will be focus of a research, studying an specific act which came from children and adolescents. This group was taken as excluded from the process of literacy. The creation of Folia das Crianças, lead them to take a new place in the social system. So, emphasizing their own creative process and thinking on several practices that allow them to establish in their lives what is called here a virtuous cycle in their social relations, guaranteeing them possibilities to build a new course in their lives.
