La contagiosité des affects dans les groupes / Contagiousness of emotions in groups

Choupas, Armelle 29 November 2016 (has links)
The purpose of this research is to define the emotions that pass through groups and the transmission of those affects. This work tries to show the way affects cross over groups and sometimes permeate the psyche of the group. The affects disrupt the ability to think and pass by archaic links of affective identifications, without representations and due to the ability to co-experience of other group members. The group allows to recognize and to treat primitive pains and archaic conflictualities between corporal and groupal. The study begins with a search around terminology : affect, emotion, feeling, sensation ... The affect is contagious. The question is the contagiousness of affects in groupal devices. By contagiousness affects, we mean the intersubjective transmission process that allows the subject, in the group, to be permeable to affect, to assimilate it psychically, and to transform it. The primary psyche that pre-exists the body feeling is the place of the deepest unconscious and common link of the group. The suffering could have the effect of contamination at this primary psyche, but also for groups. By contamination, we mean a process in which the affect is breaking into the psyche of the subject and where the subject-other confusion, is like a transpsychic transmission. Our hypothesis is that the contagiousness of the affects would be a way for the elaboration of primitive sufferings and for associative processes in groups whereas contamination of the psyche by the persecutors aggressive fantasies that circulate in groups would maintain the resistance. In a group of teenage psychodrama suffering from eating disorders, ways and transmissions are observed through a working link, movement of the frame and groupal capacity.

Le discours de Paul Biya à l'ère du multipartisme au Cameroun : mises en scène argumentatives et relation au pouvoir / Paul Biya Speeches in the multiparty era : Argumentative strategies and relationship to power

Njimeni Njiotang, Clébert Agenor 03 April 2018 (has links)
Political speech is the main tool used in order to wield power in Cameroon, a country which is being run by Paul Biya for the past 35 years. The various stands taken by this political figure is revealed through these speeches which inform on the argumentative background and inner thoughts of this politician. The doctorate thesis which studies the relationship between power and the argumentative strategies in Paul Biya speeches in the multiparty era in Cameroon therefore sets out to throw more light on this peculiar situation. This research work is discussed from the vantage point of discourse analysis, more specifically on rhetoric argumentation. Using integrative and analytical approaches to discourse analysis, the work draws its key concepts mainly from language sciences. The textometric analysis of the corpus is carried out using the Hyperbase Statistics Analysis software. Also, the analysis of the corpus has brought us to coin new terms in order to address the specificities of Paul Biya speehes. The findings reveal that in his speeches, Paul Biya makes use of a set-up which is grounded on logico-affective arguments anchored in the social reality as well as in the practices of the various traditional powers in Cameroon. The analysis also brings to the fore the various persuasive strategies and the evolution of the sociopolitical life in Cameroon. This research work also reveals how Paul Biya incarnates a strong, sacred and mythified power which gives him the privilege of having an exclusive aura at the national level which can appease the Cameroonian people and nip in the bud all the initiatives of his rivals. He has therefore succeeded in establishing a political regime which takes advantage of disharmony in order to perpetuate his power.

Génération de parole expressive dans le cas des langues à tons / Generation the expressive speech in case of tonal languages

Mac, Dang Khoa 15 June 2012 (has links)
Today, the human-computer interaction is reaching the naturalness and is increasingly similar to the human-human interaction, including the expressiveness (especially emotions and attitudes). In spoken communication, attitudes or social affects are mainly transferred through prosody. For tonal languages, prosody is also used to encode semantic information via tones. This thesis presents a study of social affects in Vietnamese, a tonal and under-resourced language, in order to apply the results to Vietnamese expressive speech synthesis task. The first task of this thesis concerns the construction of a first audio-visual corpus of Vietnamese attitudes which contains sixteen attitudes. This corpus is then used to study the audio-visual and intercultural perceptions of the Vietnamese attitudes. A series of perceptual tests was carried out with native and non-native listeners (French for non-native listeners). Experimental results reveal the fact that the influential factors on the perception of attitudes include the modality of presentation (audio, visual and audio-visual) and the attitudinal expression itself. These results also allow us to investigate the common specificities and cross-cultural specificities between Vietnamese and French attitudes. Another perception test was carried out using sentences with tonal variation to study the influence of Vietnamese tones on the perception of attitudes. The results show that non-native listeners can process the local prosodic cues of tones, together with the global cues of attitude patterns. After presenting our studies on Vietnamese social affects, we describe our work on attitude modelling to apply it to Vietnamese expressive speech synthesis. Based on the concept of prosodic contour superposition, a prosodic model was proposed to encode the attitudinal function of prosody for Vietnamese attitudes. This model was applied to generate the Vietnamese expressive speech and then evaluated in a perceptual experiment with synthetic utterances. The results validate the ability of applying our proposed model in generating the prosody of attitudes for a tonal language such as Vietnamese.

Favre, Claire 16 May 2014 (has links)
This research, in conjunction with our clinical practice in prisons, focuses on emotions in violent act. The terms "emotion" and "act" must be understood in a general sense because we start from what is visible for up to psychic functioning. Our research interest in the theory of violent act and psychoanalytic theories of affect. It's important not only focus on the violent act and we questionned the functioning of the author of violent act and the relationship between one type of act (different type of acting out ) and psychic functioning. The theoretical foundations of limit states and psychosomatic seem to bring us interesting answers. Thus, an analysis of the operation according to the act, we prefer to have a reading that part of the psychic functioning to illuminate the understanding of the act. In general, beyond wanting to clarify what types of operation belongs act, we would first like to emphasize the plurality of functioning in the clinic act.

The Relationship Between Interpersonal Communication Satisfaction and Biological Sex: the Nurse-Physician Relationship

Glenn, Theresa Hammerstein 08 1900 (has links)
This study examined to what extent the biological sex of the nurse-physician interactants affects the interpersonal communication satisfaction experienced by the nurse. Hypotheses One and Two predicted that communication satisfaction would differ significantly across various combinations of sex of nurse and sex of physician dyads. Hypothesis Three predicted that male nurses would experience higher levels of communication satisfaction than would female nurses. Interpersonal communication satisfaction was operationalized by two self-report instruments. The sample included 153 male and female nurses. Results indicated that same-sex interactions were more satisfying for female nurses, while mixed-sex interactions were more satisfying for male nurses. Nurses reported greater communication satisfaction when interacting with female physicians. Hypothesis three was not supported.

Jouissance et liberté chez Spinoza / Enjoyment and freedom in Spinoza

Cortés Cuadra, Juan Vicente 21 October 2014 (has links)
This thesis refers to the unity of the concept of freedom in Spinoza, focusing in the three privileged objects of the philosopher: God, man and multitude. To each one belongs a certain form of freedom: metaphysical, ethical and political. Given that, in one hand, the definition of freedom (E1D7) and in the other hand the affirmation made by Spinoza, that God is the only free cause, the problem is indeed, knowing in which sense or measure man can, from the ethical and political point of view, called free. We have tried to solve the problem studying a barely or not studied at all issue of Spinoza’s theory of the affectus: the notion of fruitio (enjoyment). We started by studying the lexical field motivated by the absence of definition of the term fruitio, in order to go further with nearby terms, such as gaudium (which has two different senses in Spinoza) and the delectatio. Furthermore, we have placed these points of view of the history of philosophy in the core of the discussion where they belong: the question of fruitio in Christian medieval philosophy. Thus, we question ourselves about the main concept of Amor intellectualis Dei, which is freedom itself, starting from the idea of fruitio, and the same in both God’s and man’s domains. Finally, we showed that in politics, the unity of the concept of freedom was sustained also due to the idea of obtinentia (enjoyment). In brief, we call free the being that enjoys its constitutive power as such, because it exists and acts out of necessity.

I ve considered the questions of the actions related to the cultural industry and the manipulation of the phonographic industry due to the fact that both are factors that mould the subject and his personality. I take the pathway that some commentators of Freudian Psychoanalysis took which shows on what they based themselves to formulate theories that could ―talk‖ with the musical aspects of each individual. First I examine a dimension of the process of identification and the functioning of the masses that make the music come closer to the individual and vice-versa. Next, I present the aspects that feed the source of the identifications. I approach the way that some affective mechanisms happen and how each individual establishes his identifications which open the pathway to the emphasis given to the approach to musical questions and their psychological effects in the history of each subject. As the musical object is invisible and non-palpable, escaping what is tangible and identifying itself with the that can t uttered, therefore highly subjective, I also tried to answer how the (musical) sonorities affect this subjectivity. The pathways taken will show the role of the psychoanalytic listening that is capable of listening to the subject that is affected by any musical aspect. I identified the sole reason of the life history of each subject crossed by musical aspects which allows a pondered reflection about the idea that I ve named ―musical affects in the psychic life‖. The idea of the musical affects in the psychological life and how music and psyche relate to each other theoretically and in the private clinic of the psychoanalyst will be broadly discussed at the chapter that presents vignettes of three clients and their specific musical recollections and their usage in the psychoanalytic setting. Here I describe how the musical sonorities of each one of them contributed to the course of their own analysis presenting themselves as elements that mediate the psychological transformations and create original ways to bring meaning to a specific psychic situation / Esta tese trata a música e a escolha musical do ponto de vista da psicanálise.

Silva, Denise Pereira da January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this study is to present the constituent elements of Spinoza's theory of human affects in Ethics, through a study of its metaphysical presuppositions and their involvement as a full part of the human intellect. The particularities of this theory will be emphasized and its central concepts will be analyzed in terms of the structural characteristics of Spinoza's conceptual framework. An interpretation that objects to Spinoza’s alleged naturalism will also be evaluated, arguing that some of our affective experiences cannot be explained by the concept of conatus, as is proven in the beginning of the third part of Ethics. Some evidence will be provided against this interpretation, and hence, in favor of Spinoza’s naturalism as it is found in Ethics, highlighting two ways in which the concept of action can be understood in this work. Finally, we aim to determine the origin of human passions, according to Spinoza, in order to elucidate the sense in which they are problematic from the perspective of ethical theory, whilst preserving the view that affectivity is a fundamental character of human existence.

Charles le Brun a jeho vliv na pojetí vášní ve francouzské estetice výtvarného umění druhé poloviny 17. století / Charles le Brun anh his influence on the concept of the passions in the french aesthetics of the fine arts in the second half of the 17th century

Ježková, Markéta January 2012 (has links)
The present essay deals with the Charles Le Brun's theory of the representation of passions. It summarizes the most important publications about Le Brun's lecture on expression ("Conference generale et particuliere) and mention some neglected aspects, for example its relation to the tradition of ancient rhetoric or period manners. The lecture is set in the context of period quarrels (quarrel about the importance of drawing or colour, quarrel of the Ancients and Moderns) and a special attention is given to the sources wich were used by Le Brun to develop his theory (philosophical, rhetorical, medical and physiognomical studies, book of manners) It follows from the study of literature and sources that the Le Brun's theory was innovative in many aspects but still depended on the older tradition, probably more than was recently supposed.
