A CONSTRUÇÃO IDENTITÁRIA DA RBS TV NA CAMPANHA AUTOPROMOCIONAL COMEMORATIVA DE SEUS 50 ANOS.

Ternus, Carline 16 January 2014 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present dissertation has the purpose of investigating how, as an affiliate, a broadcast station builds its own identity, distinguish its production from that one made by the network head and, finally, the manner how configures its image, while reinforcing the mother network s identity and, along with it, realizes its own productions in a coherent way. For this, the present work analyses, based on Greimasian discursive semiotics, 13 pieces of the RBS TV s 50th anniversary self-promotional campaign, seeking to verify solutions found by them to respond the challenge of articulate different interests that, commonly, work in opposite directions. Therefore, the main objective of this investigation is to comprehend how the identity construction and the image and brand projection are made during the period of an assumed self-promotional action, verifying which are the discursive procedures adopted by the aforesaid campaign, through the self-talking production, and which forms of expression actualize this strategies of identity construction in the specific case of an affiliate broadcast station. The research, structured in nine sections, after a theoretical foundation about the promotional field and a brief exhibition of the appropriate discursive semiotics concepts that support the methodology used for the selected self-promotional pieces analysis, turns out to the corpus study, considering, as a point of view, its communicative/enunciative context and inter and extra-textual relations.

A rede Globo de televisão no território brasileiro através do sistema de emissoras afiliadas / The Globo TV in brazilian territory through the system of affiliated stations

Eliane Regina Munhóz 20 January 2009 (has links)
The system of broadcast affiliated of Rede Globo Television consolidated in the Brazil in the 1970s, in the scientific and technical information era, with the intensification of technical, informational and normative densities within the national territory. The company, in order to organize this system, established a territorial division of labor that transforms the affiliates in the production units of information to headquarters, while it produces the bulk of programming that is transmitted by affiliates. The existence of a technosfera (for the reception and relay towers, microwave links, and capture the signal from the satellite, etc.). And a psichosfera (ideology of progress that is transmitted with the national broadcaster signal, traditionally recognized for its technical quality) creates the conditions so that this system operates with a high territorial capillarity and vertically imposes its transmittion everywhere. The Rede Globo Television Company provides an organizational solidarity in Brazilian territory through the relationship with its affiliated stations, using rigid rules - with commercial, technical and journalistic standards. Local broadcasters by accepting these orders no longer dare to create their own rules based on the needs of the places where they are installed. The national programming is produced from the cultural, social and moral references of Concentrated Area (where are located the two main broadcasters owned by the company) and is offered to the country as a legitimate expression of Brazilian culture. The production of local programming, found in four affiliates of the State of Sao Paulo (TV TEM Bauru, EPTV Campinas, TV Fronteira de Presidente Prudente and TV Tribuna de Santos) represents less than 5% of the total programming of Rede Globo, revealing the predominance of national programming as a vector in all the places achieved by the company signal.

A Comparative Analysis Of Differences In Resident Satisfaction, Retention, And Cumulative Grade Point Average Between University

Novak, Jeffrey 01 January 2008 (has links)
This study compared students' perceptions and satisfaction as they related to their place of residence. In addition, this study sought to determine if a difference existed between student retention rates from their first year in college to their second year and one's grade point average with respect to one's place of residence within the collegiate setting. As such, the problem this study examined was the overall impact of where a first-time-in-college student lived within the University of Central Florida housing system and how that living environment impacted students' levels of satisfaction, overall retention rates, and cumulative grade point averages. The data used for this study were obtained from a previously distributed survey conducted by the Department of Housing and Residence Life at the University of Central Florida in February 2007. Secondary data were obtained through the Department of Institutional Research at the University of Central Florida. A website link to an optional, self-administered Internet-based survey was sent via email to University of Central Florida students residing in university owned housing and university affiliated housing. The size of the sample was determined by the number of delivered emails 3800 for university owned housing, 1,500 for university affiliated housing (Towers), and 1,831 for university affiliated housing (Pegasus Landing). Of the total populations: 1) 38.57 percent were returned for university owned housing, 2) 26.26 percent were returned for university affiliated (Towers at Golden Knights Plaza), and 3) 24.63 percent were returned for university affiliated housing (Pegasus Landing). There were many statistically significant relationships. Consistently, students residing in university owned housing showed higher satisfaction and agreement levels when compared with students living in university affiliated housing. Additionally, students living in university owned housing showed a higher retention rate and cumulative grade point average when compared with students living in university affiliated housing.

Unbounded operators on Hilbert C*-modules: graph regular operators / Unbeschränkte Operatoren auf Hilbert-C*-Moduln: graphreguläre Operatoren

Gebhardt, René 24 November 2016 (has links) (PDF)
Let E and F be Hilbert C*-modules over a C*-algebra A. New classes of (possibly unbounded) operators t: E->F are introduced and investigated - first of all graph regular operators. Instead of the density of the domain D(t) we only assume that t is essentially defined, that is, D(t) has an trivial ortogonal complement. Then t has a well-defined adjoint. We call an essentially defined operator t graph regular if its graph G(t) is orthogonally complemented and orthogonally closed if G(t) coincides with its biorthogonal complement. A theory of these operators and related concepts is developed: polar decomposition, functional calculus. Various characterizations of graph regular operators are given: (a, a_*, b)-transform and bounded transform. A number of examples of graph regular operators are presented (on commutative C*-algebras, a fraction algebra related to the Weyl algebra, Toeplitz algebra, C*-algebra of the Heisenberg group). A new characterization of operators affiliated to a C*-algebra in terms of resolvents is given as well as a Kato-Rellich theorem for affiliated operators. The association relation is introduced and studied as a counter part of graph regularity for concrete C*-algebras.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Mariana Fernandes Panizza.pdf: 794674 bytes, checksum: f57ad7551afed5144bc7de585f4af49a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2018-10-01 / This study aimed to comprehend the needs, challenges and formative possibilities of the school management in the kindergartens affiliated to the Education Municipal System (EMS) of São Paulo and to suggest markers for the managers’ formation in the school supervision role which collaborate and qualify the educative actions built with babies and children in the Children Education. The research presented this problematization: how the school supervision may contribute to the formative needs of the school management of the kindergartens affiliated to the system. In order to develop this work, a qualitative approach was used with the aim to recognize through the narrative interview, with four subjects, two double of managers (Direction and Pedagogical Coordination), inspired in the theories of Josso (2004, 2007); Souza (2007); André (2008). The historical contextualization of the kindergartens in the city of São Paulo was supported by authors as Haddad, Campos and Rosemberg (1991), Sanches (2003), Kulmann Jr. (1998) and Franco (2012 and 2015). The comprehension about the meaning of the childhood was based on Arroyo (1994). In order to discuss the continuing education and the school management, the theoretical assumptions of Nóvoa (2002, 2007 and 2009), Garcia (1999), Souza and Placco (2015), Salmaso (2012), Rangel (1998), Possani (2012) and Libâneo (2001) were used. The analysis of the narratives was made from the needs, challenges and formative possibilities presented by the managers. This study resulted in markers to a formative proposal which, through an integrated schedule between the kindergarten, the pedagogical department of the Regional Education Directory and the School Supervision, contemplate the kindergartens’ scarce formation in order to overcome the challenges, therefore we highlight conceptions and intentions which need to be present in the formative proposal / O presente estudo teve por objetivo, compreender as necessidades, desafios e as possibilidades formativas da gestão nas creches conveniadas da Rede Municipal de Educação (RME) de São Paulo e propor indicativos, para formação dos gestores no papel da supervisão escolar, que colabore e qualifique as ações educativas construídas com bebês e crianças na Educação Infantil.

A Lei Anticorrupção (Lei nº 12.846/2013) e a responsabilidade solidária das sociedades controladoras, controladas e coligadas / The anticorruption law (Law 12.846/2013) and joint and several liabilities of the controlling, controlled and affiliated companies

Benini, Eduardo 30 October 2017 (has links)
This paper seeks to examine the application of joint and several liabilities between controlled and affiliated companies, according to the provision of the art. 4º, §2 of Law 12.846/2012, known as the Anti-Corruption Law. The aim is to analyze the rule of joint and several liabilities provided by the Anti-Corruption Law, confronting it with the liability rule applicable to corporate groups, according to Law no. 6.404/1976 (Corporation Law) and Law no. 10406/2002 (Civil Code), with the purpose of seeking criteria consistent with this scenario regarding affiliated companies\' liability imputation within the affiliated companies. The background of this dissertation is given by Brazilian society\'s expectations regarding the fight against corruption, especially about the economic power holders. At the researching process, it was used the deductive method of analysis and it is based on a dogmatic vision based on the tripod doctrine, legislation and jurisprudence, nevertheless, trying to avoid the limitation of a purely conceptual debate, insofar as it seeks to integrate a social approach, grounded on the data of the current Brazilian reality of the business integration process. The dissertation begins with a historical study about the emergence and formation of corporate groups, starting from the single companies of the beginnings to the great economic conglomerates of today, always with emphasis on the peculiarities of the Brazilian reality. In the course of history, we sought to examine questions of legal personality, autonomy and separation of assets, as well as the liability of companies and their partners towards social creditors. When examining corporate groups from a scientific perspective, issues such as corporate group concept, control, unitary direction, autonomy of assets and economic unit, to finally deal with the liability within the corporate groups, with the presentation of the main regulatory models: (i) American model (entity law approach); (ii) European model (enterprise approach); And, (iii) the German model (dualist approach). Before approaching the model of liability provided by the Anti-Corruption Law, we sought to examine the complex phenomenon of corruption, its historical-cultural roots among us, its indisputable presence in the most different countries and its deleterious effects on society, especially in developing countries. We will, then, discuss how Brazil\'s anti-corruption system was framed, as well as the origin and influence of the Anti-Corruption Law, as well as its main characteristics, especially objective liability, the extent of its application, the sanctions imposed and the main criticisms that exists. Finally, we will be confronting the proposal presented by the Anti-Corruption Law for liability between companies bound by a control or affiliate relationship and the model of responsibility of Brazilian Corporate Law. We seek to present criteria that reconcile the application of joint liability in the scope of corporate groups and the Anti-Corruption Law, seeking to improve the application of the norm, always having as a \"touchstone\" the observation and consideration of the dynamic reality of group societies and the yearnings of Brazilian society in the fight against corruption.

The Spiritual But Not Religious: Who Are They, and Who Is More Likely to Be One?

Gabhart, Elizabeth A. 05 1900 (has links)
The “spiritual but not religious” (SBNR) are a rising social group in America in the past two decades, but social scientists and the general public know quite little about this group. Using the pooled 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012 GSS data, this study examines who the SBNR are and who is more or less likely to be SBNR controlling for other variables. Descriptive analysis reveals that, compared to the general U.S. adult population, the SBNR group has slightly more males, is slightly younger, has fewer racial minorities, is better educated, and is slightly higher in social class. Additionally, more SBNR are from the Northeast and West than the general population, are slightly more urban, fewer are currently married, fewer have children, more have had homosexual sex, and more were religious Nones when they were 16 years old. Logistic regression analysis of the SBNR finds that, holding other variables constant, Americans who are more educated, live in Northeastern or Western regions, have homosexual sex, or had no religion at age 16 are more likely to be SBNR than their respective counterparts. Those who are racial minorities, live in the South or the Midwest, are currently married, or have children are less likely to be SBNR than their respective counterparts. Gender, age, social class, full-time work status, and metropolitanism of area do not make a significant difference. The implications of the findings for the research of religion and spirituality are discussed.
