January 2000 (has links) Alain Robbe-Grillet's Les Gommes, Michel Butor's L'Emploi du temps as well as Claude Simon's La Bataille de Pharsale are all New Novels in which Greek and Latin "mythemes" play various roles in the reception of the text by its reader. These roles represent our object of study. As a result of the possibilities and, more specifically, the many difficulties involved in reconstructing the original mythological plot, the reader realizes that the mythemes form a sort of "secondary plot" which both reflects the "first plot" (the novel's narrative) and determines its complexity. In this way, the mythemes guarantee a certain balance in the reader's level of understanding. However, they still bring out important problems: for example, they contribute to the redefining of certain familiar classical concepts and to the production of manifold interpretative choices. It follows that the mythemes are instrumental in making the reader the privileged spectator of the reconstruction of the horizon of expectations. Robbe-Grillet, Alain, 1922-2008. Gommes. 154	At the limits of moral markets : Corroborating the critique of the labor market as a sphere of social freedom Marklund, Joen January 2021 (has links) What do we require from the labor market in order for it to contribute to a free life? And will the labor market of the future live up to what we expect from it? This study examines how a political philosophy of Hegelian inspiration helps us understand the conditions by which the labor market could be capable of providing for what Axel Honneth refers to as ’social freedom’. An analysis by French jurist Alain Supiot is presented as an informative example of this theoretical framework. Supiot develops a sophisticated critique of the deficiencies of the contemporary labor market, while simultaneously pointing at some professions whose function testify of the possibility of the labor market of generating social freedom under proper conditions. As such, I show that a critical framework of Hegelian inspiration is immensely potent as to its capacity of understanding what we require from the labor market at this time of history. Immensely potent, but perhaps insufficient. Indeed, by introducing the research of Aaron Benanav pertaining to the development of the global labor market, this study corroborates the critique of Honneth and Supiot—a critical framework already introduced by Karen Ng and Timo Jütten—concerning the possibilities of the labor market of providing social freedom at any significant scale and thus hints at the probable necessity of overcoming capitalism during the time to come. 157	La paix et la guerre et la téléologie naturelle de l'homme Légaré, Jacques 07 February 2022 (has links) Par l'étude philosophique de l'ensemble du développement historique de l'homme et des réalités politiques contemporaines, cette thèse de Philosophie politique et de Philosophie de l'Histoire cherche à démontrer que l'homme est habité depuis toujours par un désir naturel de paix qui le conduit à construire un espace pacifié de plus en plus grand, à la limite, planétaire. Par delà les conflits les plus nombreux et les plus virulents dont l'Histoire fut le théâtre, et malgré leur apparente pérennité, se dessine un mouvement en vue d'une paix universelle et durable. En vue de cette démonstration, cette thèse propose un concept nouveau qui a pour nom "espace pacifié". En outre, cette thèse aborde plus spécifiquement le problème dichotomique de la paix et de la guerre par un commentaire critique de quelques-unes des œuvres les plus percutantes sur cette question, dont De la Guerre, de von. 159	Dynamismes et structures de la perception dans l'œuvre de Charles Ferdinand Ramuz / Dynamisms and structures of perception in the work of Charles Ferdinand Ramuz Keresztes-Kila, Noemi 29 November 2013 (has links) Cette thèse a comme but de resituer l’œuvre de l’auteur suisse romand, Charles Ferdinand Ramuz dans le contexte français où elle a été souvent mal accueillie, plus particulièrement à l’époque contemporaine à sa création même. Afin de pouvoir situer les questionnements et les hypothèses, elle dresse un panorama des différents aspects de la réception de l’œuvre en question (malentendus, interprétations linguistiques, esthétiques et narratologiques). Ce travail souhaite s’inscrire dans le renouveau critique qui s’est fait jour dans les années soixante. Il étudie les stratégies d’expression et les techniques narratives qui rendraient possible une « langue-image » et une esthétique de la perception phénoménologico-cinématographique. Il consacre une attention particulière à l’usage ramuzien du pronom on ainsi qu’à la mise en œuvre des effets cinématographiques. L’analyse détaillée de ces constantes de l’écriture ramuzienne permettent non seulement de redéfinir les enjeux d’un regard détaché, objectif et de redécouvir le foyer perceptif comme doté de conscience et de cognition, mais aussi de poser une question qui peut paraître bouleversante : l’écriture de cet écrivain vaudois, mettrait-elle en œuvre ce que la création romanesque associée à la mouvance du Nouveau Roman définit et théorise trente ans plus tard ? / The aim of the present thesis is to resituate the work of the Swiss writer Charles Ferdinand Ramuz in the French context in which it was frequently badly received, namely in the contemporary age of its creation. In order to situate the questions and hypotheses, the thesis will provide a panorama of the different aspects of the work’s reception in question (misunderstandings, linguistic, aesthetic and narratological interpretations). This study aims to follow in the lines of the Critical Renewal which appeared in the sixties. It will study the strategies of expression and the narrative techniques that would allow a «language-image» and an aesthetics of the phenomenological-cinematographic perception. It will focus especially on Ramuz’ usage of “on” (we) as well as on the realization of the cinematographic effects. The detailed analysis of these constants in Ramuz’ writing make it possible not only to redefine the challenges of a detached and objective view and to rediscover the perceptive focus as if it was provided with conscience and cognition but also to raise a seemingly upsetting question: may it be possible that the writing of this Vaud writer already accomplishes what the Romanesque creation in association with the movement of the New Novel (Nouveau Roman) defines and theorises thirty years later ?
