<p>The global business environment of today requires companies to be flexible, in order to quickly react and respond to the ever-changing market. Business-to-business application integration (B2BAI) can be seen as a tool which enables companies to stay competitive and it is often regarded by the theory as a must for survival in today’s fierce business environment. Eventhough the employment of a B2BAI strategy can generate a lot of advantages and opportunities for companies operating within today’s global business environment, there are still many challenges and problems to overcome in order to have a successful B2BAI solution.</p><p>Based on this we found it highly interesting to see whether the theories positive outlook on B2BAI could be supported by an empirical research. In this essay we have therefore studied and identified the underlying reasons and the contributing factors to why or why not companies choose to integrate externally, from the perspective of IT-consulting agencies. Besides this, a description and an explanation regarding the concepts covered by the field of B2BAI have been made in order to facilitate the understanding for the reader. As our intention primarily was to investigate the reasons behind and the contributing factors to why or why not companies choose to integrate, we chose to make qualitative interviews. This, as we were in need of information which described the course of events and expressed individual opinions, in order to achieve the purpose of the essay. Regarding the selection of research objects for the research, the population consists of all IT-consulting agencies in Sweden. The research has however been delimited to a selection of the population, where the sample consists of three IT-consulting agencies located in Jönköping, with experience of B2BAI.</p><p>One of the most interesting discoveries we have made in this research is that the empirical findings agree with the theory in regards of that globalization is a central factor contributing to why companies chose to invest in B2BAI. However, the respondents do not discuss all the advantages of B2BAI mentioned in the theory and emphasize slightly different underlying reasons for choosing to employ a B2BAI strategy. The most central reason for not choosing to employ a B2BAI strategy was according to the respondents due to the lack of knowledge regarding issues relating to the phenomenon and this have not been discussed in the theoretical framework. The challenges with B2BAI stated in the theory, were on the other hand not regarded as issues contributing to not choosing to implement B2BAI. We are under the impression that the advantages and the oppor-tunities with B2BAI carry more weight then the challenges, as the essays empirical findings indicate that the demand for B2BAI today is high and constantly growing.</p> / <p>Dagens globala affärsvärld kräver att företag ska vara flexibla för att snabbt kunna reagera och anpassa sig till den ständigt föränderliga marknaden. Vad gäller urvalet av undersökningsobjekt består populationen av alla IT-konsultföretag i Sverige. Undersökningen har dock avgränsats till tre IT-konsultföretag belägna i Jönköping med erfarenhet av B2BAI.</p><p>En av de mest intressanta upptäckterna vi har gjort i denna undersökning är att empirin överensstämmer med teorin beträffande att globaliseringen är en central bidragande faktor till varför företag väljer att investera i B2BAI. Respondenterna diskuterar dock inte alla fördelar med B2BAI som omnämns i teorin och framhåller delvis andra underliggande skäl till varför företag väljer att använda an B2BAI strategi. Det mest centrala skälet till varför företag inte väljer att implementera en B2BAI strategi var enligt respondenterna på grund av bristande kunskaper beträffande frågor relaterade till fenomenet och detta har inte diskuterats i det teoretiska ramverket. Utmaningarna med B2BAI omnämnda i teorin ansågs emellertid inte vara bidragande faktorer till att inte välja att implementera B2BAI. Vi har fått intrycket att de fördelar och möjligheter som B2BAI medför är av större vikt för företag än de utmaningar och problem som existerar, då uppsatsens empiriska studie pekar på att efterfrågan för B2BAI är stor idag och kon-stant växande.</p>

由於科技快速進步,企業經營也隨著科技的進步而產生重大變化,不但需求變化快速,企業還要即時快速反應外在環境,於是企業對於資訊系統整合的議題越來越重視,希望將功能導向的系統轉變為流程導向的系統,將資訊有效的整合及標準化,讓企業能快速地與外在環境連結,進而提升整體營運績效。
整合的方法非常的多,大致上可分為四類。目前對於哪一種整合方法是最有效率、效益也無一定論。最主要的原因是不同的整合個案會有不同的整合需求,若只從理論方面來探討資訊系統整合所帶來的效用並無法具體地呈現其價值。
有鑑於此,本研究之目的是希望透過個案單位的作業模型,分析、建構出整合的資料模型。因此,本研究以階段性的方法設計資料整合模型及其運作方法。在第一、二階段當中,先針對個案單位的流程進行系統資料流程塑模及業務流程塑模,再從業務面及系統面找出資訊中斷的地方及因素,並將問題具體地描述出來。在第三階段中,本研究挑選了最適合此個案單位的整合方法,也就是使用資料層級(Data-Level)整合的方法,設計整合的資料模型將資訊流完整的串接起來以支援企業的決策需求。最後一階段則要利用ETL說明整合的系統運作模式,並說明此個案單位使用ETL時,可能會遇到的問題及初步的解決方法。 / Owing to rapid advances in technology, enterprises have a major change of the progress of science and technology. The enterprises not only change rapidly in demand, but also have to response to the external environment rapidly. Hence, enterprise information system integration issues get more attentions. Enterprises hope to improve their systems from function-oriented to process-oriented because the effective integration of information and standardization allows enterprises to quickly link with the external environment and to enhance the overall operating performance.
However, there are many kinds of integrated approaches. At present, there is no substantive conclusion in approaches to integrate efficiently all systems in business. The main reason is that the integration of different cases has different integration requirements. Therefore, it cannot concretely show the value of system integration through the discussion of the theoretical aspects.
In this thesis, this study aims to enhance the operation of a case to model, analyze, and construct an integrated data model. This research has 4 phases to construct integrated data model. In phase 1 and 2, this study builds the case data flow modeling and business process modeling and discovers information gap. In phase 3, the study selects the most suitable method for this case, that is, to use the data level integrated approach to design integrated data model. Finally, using ETL illustrates system operation mode and describes the case which may encounter problems and initial solutions follow in phase 4.

整合性製造管理資訊系統開發之研究祝天雄 Unknown Date (has links)
本論文旨在探討以產品資料標準格式及資訊技術與工具,發展資訊整合模式,其目標是連結電腦輔助設計與電腦輔助製造功能,並結合產品資料管理共用資料庫及型態管理作業,達到同步管理,以實現同步工程作業。資訊整合使自研發、設計、製程規劃、及製造之電腦輔助作業的資料得以連結及共用,形成共通性資訊作業環境,有效提昇產品開發與製造之同步流程管理。為達此一目的,必須以符合國際產品資料表示與交換標準定義整合運作系統所使用的產品共通性資料,以利在電子化環境下,企業體內之上下游廠商可透過此標準定義配合網際網路技術,分享彼此產品資料管理系統中的產品資料,降低資料交換的誤差,並加速產品資料交換的速度。本研究以探討XML及STEP為基礎,首先分析產品生命週期管理之資訊需求,就設計、製程規劃、及製造管理之不同系統,釐清資料管理之資料表達規範,其次以IDEF方法進行產品資料管理之流程分析,並以Zachman資訊系統基礎架構框架各觀點進行資訊需求及架構分析,最後以國防工業體系之中心工廠為例,進行個案實証研究探討資料整合模式與流程分析之可行方法。
研究結果發現,提出三點建議供企業實行資訊整合之參考:
一、 企業流程再造BPR是工作流程、組織結構、資訊技術及工作內容等之合理化與重新設計,使績效大幅改善。
二、 雖有大量投資,但整合後系統的顧客價值不一定增加,例如:業務模式無法吸引更多的客戶時,系統整合後的價值也不一定增加。電腦系統整合的困難度應有企業內充分且全面性溝通的時間。
三、 將所有的資訊應用建置於同一超級資訊平台上作業,很難做到。分散式應用程式讓企業在建置資訊系統時不論在採購上或建置上都更為彈性,企業可依需要不斷的擴充系統,而不需在初期即一次購足。資訊服務網(Web Services)的發展促使企業應用整合EAI技術能滿足此一需求。
本研究係以應用於國防工業體系之中心工廠整合性製造管理資訊系統發展模式為例,國防工業是軍公民營企業合作發展模式,其具有穩定、不易外移、及能帶動相關產業發展之特性,相關產業的資訊整合均面對類似的問題。期能藉由本研究之結果,提供企業進行資訊整合時之參考,使其產品資料能於電子化環境中即時而正確地共用與分享。 / In today’s economy, product lifecycle has been significantly shortened. All manufactures are faced with the challenge of making high quality products within a short product introduction time while reducing costs as low as possible. Product lifecycle management (PLM)is an emerging solution and information integration is a core to address this challenge. Without an efficient methodology to integrate data and processes, PLM would be impossible.
This research explores thus the methodology and IT requirement for the integrated product manufacturing information management system, with the following research goals:
1. To investigate the methodology needed by manufacturing companies to implement the integrated product manufacturing information management system to achieve PLM.
2. To investigate the information integration framework for the integrated product manufacturing information management system.
Based on analytic method originated from Zachman Framework, this research conducted a case study on a defense industry. The core of this case study is to identify the Framework provides a means for organizing the models of Enterprise Applications Integration (EAI) into useful categories. Model is composed of multiple modeling methods integrated in a way that is sufficient to describe the system. The main models are:
(1). Information models for the representation of product data are being developed as an international standard (ISO 10303) informally called STEP. STEP (STandard for the Exchange of Product model data) is designed to enable the exchange of product data between heterogeneous computer systems used throughout the product life cycle.
(2). A neutral model of engineering and management data, developed based on the eXtensible Markup Language (XML), can be a standard interchangeable information representation for manufacturing information integration in PLM, and is developed in this research.
(3). During several of the BPR steps, the critical process pieces are identified and designed together using IDEF Models.
A last, with respect to enterprise information technology integration, this research comes to the conclusions as follows:
1. The primary goal of a BPR effort is to document the current and future business process and to ensure stakeholder buy-in and support.
2. Enterprise information integration is still relatively new, and its best practices are not fully disseminated, which helps to explain why Zachman Framework and analysis tools are important.
3. Since the structure of the data changes too rapidly, integration at the physical source level does not work. Web Services provide a distributed computing technology for revealing the business services of applications on the Internet or intranet using standard XML protocols and formats. It enables EAI to be an ongoing process of creating a flexible, standardized enterprise infrastructure that allows new IT-based applications and business processes to be easily and efficiently deployed.

Analyzing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in Open Source ProductsGohar, Adnan January 2010 (has links)
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an architectural paradigm that allows building of infrastructures for diverse application interaction and integration via services across different platforms, domains of technology and locations. SOA differs from traditional architectures, as it focuses on integrating capabilities that are distributed and implemented using a mixture of technologies. SOA provides a set of methodologies and strategies to accomplish interoperability and integration among different technology stacks. Vattenfall is the fifth the largest energy supplier within Europe. Having operational systems in different countries brings the challenge of integrating all these distributed systems and this integration is a vital requirement for Vattenfall. The company is currently using Microsoft proprietary products to achieve integration across different technological platform, but requires a better integration infrastructure which is easily extensible and cost effective. This thesis investigates the impact of implementing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using open source or proprietary software products within Vattenfall, from technological and financial perspectives. For this purpose, different technical and non-technical function blocks are identified which are essential for the implementation of SOA. These function blocks are mapped with SOA solutions provided by Red Hat’s JBoss Open Source SOA Platform and Microsoft’s SOA Platform. After mapping, a vendor specific technical and non-technical comparative analysis is carried out based on the function blocks, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each vendor. Finally, an evaluation scheme is purposed based on the technical comparative analysis of vendors, SOA solution cost and SOA competence required. The results from this evaluation scheme are used to recommend the best solution vendor for Vattenfall Nordic. Moreover, this evaluation scheme can also be used to facilitate management in arriving at an appropriate decision about implementation of SOA, while remaining within their requirements and constraints.

Today, with various technology and business standards, organizations face rapid changes in both internal and external environments. To be able to rapidly respond to such changing environments, integration of software systems has entered among the top priorities of many organizations. However, despite extended use of software integration, methods for estimating the business value of implementing such integration are still missing. Besides presenting a conceptual model to define the benefits of systems integration and related causal relationships, this study proposes a method for measuring such benefits in monetary terms. In particular, we demonstrate how a mathematical programming technique called Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) can be used to evaluate the business value of software integration. Our method is illustrated using data from 12 organizations. The results indicate significant productivity gains by integrating software systems, which represent the value of software integration in organizations.

Diagnostik und Evaluation der Entzündungsschwere chronisch entzündlicher Darmerkrankungen durch MagnetresonanztomographieHerrler, Jörn Heinrich 05 March 2004 (has links)
Für die Therapie chronisch entzündlicher Darmerkrankungen (CED) ist die Diagnostik befallener Darmabschnitte und enteraler Komplikationen ebenso von Bedeutung, wie die Einschätzung der klinischen und endoskopischen Entzündungsaktivität. In einer Studie soll die Wertigkeit der Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) untersucht werden, die Entzündungsaktivität CED anhand visueller Befunde und Komplikationen einzuschätzen. Außerdem soll überprüft werden, ob auf eine Kontrastierung des Darmes zugunsten eines höheren Patientenkomforts und einer schnelleren Untersuchung verzichtet werden kann. 64 Patienten mit bekannter oder vermuteter CED wurden vor und nach intravenöser Gd-DTPA-Injektion mit dem MR-Tomographen untersucht. Während 35 Patienten eine orale und rektale Kontrastierung mit Endoskopielösung erhielten, wurden 31 nicht enteral kontrastiert. 53 der untersuchten Patienten wurden zeitnah koloskopiert. Ein neu entwickelter MR-Aktivitätsindex (MRAI), die Kontrastmittelanreicherung in der Darmwand sowie die gemessenen Darmwanddicken wurden mit klinischen Indizes (CAI, CDAI) und dem Endoskopie-Aktivitätsindex (EAI) korreliert. Weiterhin wurden koronare Bilder aller Patienten bezüglich der Distension des Darmes und der Abgrenzbarkeit der Darmwand begutachtet. Im Vergleich mit dem EAI konnten signifikante Unterschiede für die Verteilung des Darmwand-Enhancements und der gemessenen Darmdicken nachgewiesen werden. Der MRAI zeigte eine Korrelation von Eta = 0,43 mit der klinischen Aktivität. Für Colitis ulcerosa-Patienten konnte ein Eta = 0,64 erstellt werden. Untersuchte, die eine Kontrastierung des Darmes erhielten, wiesen eine exzellente Korrelation (Eta = 0,76) zwischen MRAI und CAI / CDAI auf, während dieser Zusammenhang für Patienten ohne enterale Auffüllung fehlte. Weiterhin konnten signifikante Zusammenhänge zwischen enteraler Kontrastierung und der Distension des Darmes sowie der Abgrenzbarkeit der Darmwand gezeigt werden. Die Arbeit macht deutlich, daß es möglich ist, CED mittels MRT zuverlässig zu diagnostizieren und mit Hilfe des MRAI in ihrer klinischen und endoskopischen Entzündungsaktivität einzuschätzen. Dabei sollte auf die Anwendung eines enteralen Kontrastmittels nicht verzichtet werden. Ein Einsatz der MRT ist somit nicht nur bei der Diagnostik sondern auch zur Verlaufskontrolle der CED sinnvoll. / For the therapy of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), not only the diagnosis of affected bowel segments and enteral complications but also the assessment of the clinical and endoscopic activity is important. The value of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to asses the activity of IBD by visual findings and complications shall be determined by a clinical study. Furthermore shall be tested how the application of enteral contrast media affects patient comfort and examination time. 64 patients with known or supposed IBD were examined by MRI before and after intravenous injection of Gd-DTPA. 35 patients received oral and rectal contrast medium (2,5% mannitol solution) while 31 patients remaining without enteral replenishment. 53 patients underwent colonoscopy.A newly developed MR Activity Index (MRAI), based on visual findings, contrast-enhancement of the bowel wall and measured wall thickness were correlated with clinical (Crohn�s Disease Activity Index, CDAI; Colitis Activity Index, CAI) and endoscopic (Endoscopy Activity Index, EAI) activity. Coronal images of all patients were evaluated referring to bowel distension and demarcation of the bowel wall. The comparision with EAI shows significant differences in the distribution for wall contrast-enhancement and wall thickness. A good correlation is determined between the MRAI and the clinical activity (Eta = 0,43). Considering only patients with Ulcerative Colitis the correlation between MRAI and CAI shows Eta = 0,64. An excellent correlation of Eta = 0,76 between MRAI and CDAI / CAI for all patients with oral and enteral replenishment was found, while there was no correlation in the group, which did not receive mannitol solution. Significant correlations were also seen between the enteral mannitol solution replenishment and bowel distension and demarcation of the bowel wall. MRI shows good accuracy in detecting the changes the of IBD. The new developed MRAI allows an assessment of the activity of IBD. The results demonstrate that oral and enteral contrast media should be applied for MR examination of the abdomen. The utilization of MRI is furthermore useful in the follow up of IBD.

近年來,電信業已由寡占走向了完全競爭市場,伴隨著消費者意識的抬頭,有限的市場大餅,更侷限了用戶數的大躍進,因此各家電信營運商無不卯足全力,專注在提供吸引消費者的產品、資費方案、以及ARPU(Average-Revenue-Per-User)的提昇…等議題上。企業要如何面對競爭慘烈的市場?如何保持內部流程的彈性去因應變化?基於上述事項,如何運用資訊科技來達到企業的目標就更加重要了,而EAI 的功能,提供了企業對應用系統的整合,維持流程的彈性應用,更進而協助企業降低整合風險、節省資訊軟體的開發與維護成本、強化供應商的合作關係,進而產生對企業的效益。
本研究使用個案研討的方式,選定幾項關鍵流程進行深度分析,針對電信業在營運系統上整合的議題作探討,並說明企業整合應用軟體導入所帶來的效益。對於電信產業而言,客戶關係管理系統、帳務系統、開通系統、加值服務應用平台系統…等是整合的開端,亦是重點之所在。經由EAI軟體的導入,提供營運應用系統之間資訊的同步,也相對的提供決策人員反應快速的資訊。
