FINAL SARA MAMONA.pdf: 1205147 bytes, checksum: 28aac56157850ad49fec25db554eca31 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-02-10 / This study aimed to investigate the professional knowledge required by the licensed teacher, in the context of the initial training of mathematics teachers for their work in the Education of Young and Adults - EJA, as a modality of Basic Education. To do so, some of the specific objectives defined were: to identify the professional knowledge oriented to the EJA present in the Pedagogical Proposal of the Course of Mathematics from the State University of Feira de Santana - UEFS, Teaching Menus and Plans; Identify the necessary knowledge to be built during the initial training for a graduate in mathematics to work in the EJA; Contribute to the understanding and reflection about the necessary knowledge for the initial formation of mathematics teachers to work in the EJA. Even though the modality represents an important demand to be attended in the Teaching Network, there are still many professionals who work in the modality without training in the area. Considering that the exit profile of the graduates should meet the demands of Basic Education and how the EJA constitutes it, it is necessary to return the look to the initial formation of teachers. Mathematics was chosen because it is one of the areas considered as the most difficult by the students. A qualitative approach was chosen, with the perspective of constructing a sensitive understanding of the studied phenomenon from the perceptions brought by the research subjects - undergraduates and teacher-trainers with some experience in the EJA. The used techniques were document analysis, semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. The locus of the research was the Course of Mathematics from UEFS. This work is structured in five topics, including an introduction; the second topic brings a survey of the researches on the same object of this work and considerations referring to the chosen methodological path; the third topic refers to the theoretical framework with two chapters that deal with initial teacher training, mathematical questions for teaching in the EJA and the specificities of the EJA, listed in three different dimensions that are related to the EJA individuals, the pedagogical and political-administrative dimensions. The fourth topic brings the discussions of the results from the analysis of course documents, the speeches of the research subjects and the reflections established with the theoretical framework. Finally, final considerations demonstrate that the teaching and the subjects of the EJA, their realities and specificities, are the relevant sources to be understood during the initial formation of mathematics teachers to act in EJA.

Starting from Foucault's notion of subject, the present work constitutes an investigation of historical-discursive processes that discourses the formation of the student in the Young and Adult Education Program (EJA). To do so, initially, a brief historical-documental overview was given on the education movements for young people and adults in Brazil, reflecting on the constitution of the program in its relation with the public to which it is directed. Subsequently, the process of analysis was constructed based on The Archeology of Knowledge, and it is therefore a careful reading of the possible regularities found in the linguistic materiality of chapter 1 of the Portuguese Language segment of the program's textbook . The identification of possible regularities is followed by a characterization of the surfaces of emergence of possible speeches and, finally, the possibilities and interdictions that delimit the margins of constitution of the student subject of the EJA Program through the exteriorities are demarcated.

To investigate this matter, we have done a survey about this teaching modality, including its historic, political, legal aspects and also aspects as to the educator formation in institutions that qualify for the exercise of docency. We proceed to the establishment of relations between the need of a consistent initial formation about Youth and Adult Education and the implications in the teaching quality, as well as in the permanence of the students at school. We make inquiries on the formation of the professionalism of educators in the teaching practice and because we conceive the educators as reflexive professionals, we consider that the development of their intellectual capabilities and the amplification of their knowledge must be taken into account in the programs of continued education. Taking as reference the concepts of intellectual emancipation and brutalization presented by Ranci?re (2010), we point out the production of scientific knowledge as a possible alternative for the development of the intellectual autonomy of educators, due to the possibility of advancing beyond their knowledge in a practical order. The reflections about the formation of Youth and Adult educators point to the possibility of development of the formative process with regard to the intellectual emancipation, by means of using the space/time destined to continued education, with the restriction though that they be planned with this intention, in a perspective of recognizing and enabling the intellectual capabilities and the knowledge of the educators. We employ the term to revalue, which comes from the philosophy of Nietzsche and we apply it to the context of this teaching modality, with the aim of attributing new values to some of its fundamental aspects and mainly to the role of the educator, due to the relevance of the social function that it develops next to the brazilian youth and adults.

The study sought to understand the meanings of schooling for women who return to the school in the course of Education for Young People and Adults, to complete the elementary education of the headquarters of his rural district. The work examines issues related to place of residence (rural areas), deals with gender relations and reflects the conditions of life and work of women surveyed. The education for the people in the field was historically relegated the educational proposals without specificities and originality territorial, facing many times the programs and projects of rapid duration without due attention to the contexts in which they were part. These proposals have not promoted structural changes for the improvement of the quality of life of the people in the field and as a consequence, the banished from school and encouraged them to seek other conditions of life, work and study in the large urban centers. Using a qualitative approach, the methodology of this study, develop ping from their life stories, trying to understand the reality in focus, whereas the representations, the identities constructed and knowledge stemming from the trajectory experienced by women students of Young Adults Education in night shift. The research relied on the collaboration of six women living in surrounding communities of the district, students of the school. The instruments used for data collection were the observation in school, in the communities and households; the comments participants in the classroom, the questionnaires for the characterization of the general profile of the students and the semi-structured interviews with six students. The research reveals the great importance that women attribute to the process of schooling, because for them the conclusion of their studies can provide better employment opportunities, increased self-esteem, respect, appreciation and social recognition. The study also shows that, in the perspective of women, the conclusion of studies allows a better performance in relations developed in the community and society, thus allowing for the same, an effective exercise of citizenship.

It is unquestionable that the dropout in Youth?s and Adult?s Education (EJA) has been considered of significance for social and educational commissions and has instigated discussions in various forums about the future of Brazilian education. After all, a great number of young people and adults who could not attend school at normal age have returned to educational institutions, but many of them end up quitting again. The dropout is one out of the many faces of social exclusion, as the students who have dropped out EJA see themselves excluded from and by the very same society which they should feel themselves part of and participants. By studying the development of Brazilian education history it is observed that since its genesis it has been marked by public actions, procedures and policies that resulted somehow in the process of exclusion that still occurs today with the apparent inequities to which young people are exposed; inequities determined by education, race, income, gender and work. A preliminary diagnosis of school performance in the ambit of the EJA shows that it is particularly disturbing especially the elected methodology and teaching practices for this kind of courses, which makes their readjustment imperative. It is noteworthy that the EJA has its peculiar identity recognized by what it aims to offer, in other words, professional development and raising the educational level of workers who have dropped out school. The possible relevance of these teaching tools will certainly arouse greater interest and ensure the permanence of these students in the classroom, and thus provide their growth, both personal and professional, as well as collaborate to overcome the prejudice about their learning ability. In this sense, once it is observed a significant dropout through documentary research in primary sources of the Federal Institute of Esp?rito Santo Campus Santa Teresa, questionnaires were elaborated and interviews were conducted with teachers and students who were enrolled, had graduated or had dropped out in order to characterize the Course of PROEJA offered by the institution and to identify the possible reasons for dropout in this type of education. The results indicated that there are several causes of dropout, however, some deserve to be underlined: the lack of identification with the professional expertise that has offered limited demand in the labor market, the unpreparedness of teachers to work in this type of education and the difficulties relating to accessibility especially regarding the lack of transportation. Finally, it is concluded that to change this context it becomes necessary to readjust the offering of the Course and make dynamic the pedagogical practice by redirecting the activities proposed for such courses. In addition to reviewing the proposed methodology, it is important to expand the horizons of the professionals involved in the process by providing a better idea about the real needs of students and the course.

Campus-Cod?. Pursuant to Decree 5840 of 13/07/2006, since 2007 the Campus-Cod? has been offering a course in Agribusiness Integrated Technical High School in the Youth and Adult-mode PROEJA, and the teachers giving classes in this type of education are same as mainstream and higher, not that they are prepared to work in adult education. From experience in classroom teaching PROEJA and as supervisor in 2009, it was possible, through reports of teachers in educational meetings, see the methodological difficulties in teaching in the form of adult education. This research aims to examine the practice in teaching the course in Agribusiness Technical High School in the Integrated Mode Youth and Adult Campus-Cod? in the context of public policies in education and initial and continuing training. It is intended to identify the methodological difficulties presented by the faculty and present alternative proposals to the research work as a practice of daily teacher and student as a way to encourage student autonomy in relation to the acquisition of knowledge. The survey was conducted through a qualitative approach, with the subjects involved in research 24 students and six teachers of the course mentioned above, using as instruments of data collection observation in the classroom, questionnaires and interviews.

In order to show how important is the knowledge of geometry for students, we seek to make associations between the geometric knowledge of the students who work in construction, with the use of their concepts and the applicability in the workplace. Thus, interviews were conducted with students of the middle school EJA using geometry in their work activities, to understand their informal knowledge, in order to justify the need for it to be emphasized teaching this important part of mathematics. From these results, we conclude that the formalization of concepts is of paramount importance to the students. Throughout the work we will discuss the mediating role of the teacher in this type of education, as well as the contribution of Ethnomathematics with a view to finding broader aspects that help in teaching and learning processes.

No. of bitstreams: 1 2016 - Fernanda Lessa Pereira.pdf: 5142376 bytes, checksum: f5e9e29e4465c1e4afbbb76f8bae823f (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-12-06 / CAPES / This research is guided through an observed situation that many students from Young and Adults Education (EJA) classes have a limitated dominium of the habilities using of punctuation signals used in the textual productions in a variety of genders. There is as an objetive, by means od the didactic sequencial aplication, make these learners become proficientes in the writing production and in the using of the many diversificated graphic punctuation signals. Itis also intention of this research to discuss about the language teaching in EJA, presenting the teoric structure about textual genders, mainly the midiactic gender of newspaper report, to the aimed-public composed by 161 and 162 classes, belonged to the two last classes from the fundamental teaching in a not seriated way that is offered to young and adults students registeredin EJA modality. The place where this research happened is Leonel de Moura Brizola Ciep, that has as an adress Brasil Avenue, 8.666, most precisally in front of the famous Ramos?s Large Swimming Pool. It was noticed by the reseacher-teacher that these Young and adullts students registered in the both classes have a lot to contribute as protagonists of the newspaper reports that tackeled spot questions, according to their point of views, residents that cohabit and that know as nobody else the problematic that they face in their day-by-day. The aplication of this research becomes relevant for the garantee of a kind of learning that explores the social use of language, contributing to the, in school and extraschool activities, our students could be prepared to make the adapted use of the many types of punctuation signals, with an expected competence of a student that concludes a fundamental teaching. Considering this, as teoric support, the research is based in theoretician such as Dolz, Noverraz e Schneuwly (2004); Kleiman (2006); Soares (2004); Marcuschi (2008, 2010); Loch (2009); Koch (2014); Mollica (2009); Rojo (2012); Freire (1996); Paiva (2009), referred documents, such as PCN (1998; 2001), Curriculars Orientations (2010) and Norteating Documents of PEJA (2016). Somewhere else, it is the punctuation graphic signals apropriation, this research presented the right prescrition to the using of punctuation signals fixxed by the gramaticians Azeredo (2008), Cintra e Cunha (2001). So, it treats about a qualitative research approach with a sociointeracionist focus, allied to an action-research based in Thiollent (2011). In relation to the results of this research by means of newspaper report, it is possible to assert that the choice in teaching ponctuation by means of newspaper report it made the participants councius about the gramatical and textual problems that round their lives and that hinder them of using the so powerful existent tool: the writing. There were productions that have the condiction to become better, but that are effort of the ones that still have the will in learning and having employeement oportunities, that ask a good dominium of writing. Of course, they cannot be compared to a newspaper report model, but they already show that the structure was assimilated, even than they had stayed above of expected. They are, in fact, embrionary texts, that have not comtemplated all the possibilities proposed by the choosen gender, but that urges for a new way of work with classes that compose the so single EJA modality.

Cardoso, C?cera Romana 21 December 2007 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-17T14:36:06Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 CiceraRC.pdf: 295488 bytes, checksum: f585fd9cdb64dd6c5356348468ed6cde (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007-12-21 / For young people and adults that have not yet conquered reading and writing, being literate is the most important thing in life , a dream . Scholarly learning for them is like hegemonic knowledge in contemporary literate society. Thus, for them to get into school is to be able to have such knowledge and, through it, feel inserted into this society. However, along this process of learning, they start to drop out, little by little, statistically increasing the number of people who give up on young people and adult education Eja, as well as slowly reducing the contingent of illiteracy in the country. With this reality as a starting point, we question the concrete and symbolic reasons or motives that lead to a dropping out of the literacy classes at Eja. To do so, we have established, as the object of our study, the feelings of giving up among those involved in young people and adult literacy training. To understand such feelings is our purpose in this investigation. The theory of Social Representations (MOSCOVICI, 1978, 2004) was the theoretical-methodological option for subsidizing data search, analyses and interpretation, making us perceive the significance of the object of this study for these individuals. The gathering of such symbolic content involved the use of semi-structured interviews with eleven drop-outs and ten students who had repeated this modality of teaching in public schools in Natal, RN, during the 2006 school year. From the thematic and categorical analyses (BARDIN, 1977), we identified elements that gave support to some themes. Later, these themes led to three categories, suggesting that feelings associated with dropping out were based on the following: learning difficulties because they did not understand the contents; having their lack of knowledge exposed, thus bringing forth feelings of shame, humiliation, and embarrassment for not knowing how to read and write at a mature age; work, tiredness and sickness. The students who manage to remain in school are those who force themselves to live with the feelings of maladaptation and those who develop a sense of adaptation the other way round to the institution, that is, acceptance of institutional failures and omissions / A condi??o de alfabetizado, para jovens e adultos que ainda n?o conseguem dominar a leitura e a escrita, ? a coisa mais importante da vida , um sonho .
