Lisandro Silveira Soares 13 July 2015 (has links)
This final paper for the professional Masters program has as its goal to analyze the Christian Ethic and the Business Ethic seeking contributions for the elaboration of a possible Christian Business Ethic. The theme is very current and lacks foundation within standards which consider the issue of social responsibility in the theological area. The methodology used was bibliographic and conceptual research. The results of the research show up based on the consideration of social responsibility from the theological viewpoint and its possible tie to the business world. We conclude considering the possibility of an ethics incarnated in the bosom of business management and of the stakeholders, problematizing the various real difficulties and the normative complexities of an organization which prioritizes the logic of maximizing the profits. Within the distinction between morality and ethics, we fulfill the necessary contributions which permeate possible programs of Christian business ethics, laying out concrete issues such as equitable salary, participation in the decision making, encouragement for organization of play and the prioritization of human dignity.

It is aimed at producing a way to carry out the mediation between what is referred to as the language of marketing (first language) and the language of public relations (second language). A third language is thus created to enhance the body of concepts and procedures of the previous ones and become instrumental in integrating business actions and social responsibility. The assumption is that the first and second languages (both of traditional approach) do not reach the required level of mediation by themselves. One key issue is the elevation of the human being from the role of regular consumer to the one of participant in a relationship. The proposal of a third language is also to build an approach to encourage graduation students of communication, business administration and public relations to go beyond the principles they usually learn. They shall be better able to think in a triad format by means of a set of study vectors, namely binary consciousness in friction, laugh shock, vision of consequence, among others, to deal in a relative way what tends to be generalized. Three commercial campaigns are analyzed by means of these vectors to explain the correlations between what is meant as attitude of mestization on the part of the professional and the integration of ethical, cultural and social responsibility in conjunction with the concepts of consumer-target and publics / O trabalho desenvolve uma proposta de linguagem para as organizações em geral e para o estudante de comunicação em particular.

La Laïcité à l'école : une croyance normative entre éthique de responsabilité et éthique de conviction / Secularism in school : a normative belief between ethics of responsibility and ethics of conviction

Vivarelli, Clémentine 01 April 2014 (has links)
This thesis proposes to analyze the secularism in the school within the framework of a sociology of the values and beliefs. From a qualitative method and comprehensive crossing the compendium of speech of school agents and the observation of everyday situations, it is to interrogate the micro dimension and practice of the phenomenon. In considering the secularism as a normative belief consisting of values relating to freedom, equality, citizenship, to the Republic, to live together, etc. , this work is committed to highlight the semantic content and axiological of different forms of secularism, and to show the philosophical models and policies of society in which they find their anchor. The taking into account of the reports of rationality that school agents maintain with their beliefs, in terms of ethics of responsibility and conviction, provide the keys of explanation and understanding of the social practices of implementation of secularism, to the extent where they reveal constitute guides of the daily action.

Being in Brazil : an autoethnographic account of becoming ethically responsible as a practitioner-researcher in education

Blair, Andrea Jane January 2013 (has links)
This thesis explores an autoethnography which is written in the spirit of ubuntu, with and through others. Viewing this as an ethically responsible methodology for educational research conducted in and between the Global North and the Global South, this autoethnography foregrounds both self and other. The story of a practitioner- researcher unfolds around a move from disillusionment with the examinations factories of the English education system into exploring a human ethic of essential care (Boff, 2005) and a pedagogy of unconditional love (Andreotti, 2011) in a Brazilian non- government organisation. In these shifting contexts, the writer shares a journey of critical reflection (Brookfield, 1995; 2000) on ethical relationships in research and education, deconstructing the hegemonic assumptions underpinning her worldview. Borrowing insight from postmodern philosophy for education and actionable postcolonial theory in education, a journey of (un)learning unfolds as the author grapples with taken-for-granted assumptions about and in the Global South. The aims of the study emerge from a life lived forward (Muncey, 2005) through critical reflection on the ends of education and the role of the practitioner-researcher. As such, the nature of data collection becomes a process of data creation incorporating a rich tapestry of research conversations, images, sounds and other embodied memories. As ethical relations become a central focus of the author’s critical reflection, the author has sought to minimise her inflection on the data and in doing so includes many of the original contributions gifted to her throughout a two year period. Through critical self- scrutiny and reflection the author has been able to examine her own educational and cultural assumptions through a different lens in the Global South. The beauty of this autoethnography lies in exploring the kinds of intercultural spaces the author and others inhabit in twenty-first century research and classrooms.

This work aims to demonstrate that sustainability stands as a constitutional principle that is part of the regulatory framework of the constitution, limiting and conditioning spaces of state discretion. Therefore, this work begins arguing the constitutionalization of law, and its consequences to the knowledge of the legal system, such as: the recognition of the normative force of the constitution, which must be permanent and sustainable over time; the centrality of fundamental rights (in its vertical and horizontal effectiveness); and the approach of law with philosophy, where the constitution is perceived as a plexus of values, values which conform stability, dignity and development of the social body. This theoretical framework brings important consequences for the Administrative Law, because in this paradigm, state is seen not only as a large inductor and protagonist of public policies, but primarily also as the great conductor of constitutional design, inducing and encouraging state and private actions in favor of social development, now and in the future. What becomes even more important because future needs protection; claim what is justified based on the responsibility ethics of Hans Jonas, which warns that the indiscriminate use of technology and technique, irrationality of the management of state power and the uncertainty consequences of the changes inflicted on nature, bring a real danger to the continuity of human life on Earth. Thus, based on the paradigm of (perennial) normative force of the constitution and philosophical studies of Hans Jonas, this work defends the recognition of a fundamental right to the future, and more, the recognition of a constitutional principle derived from this fundamental right: the principle of sustainability. At this point, from the recognition of sustainability as a constitutional principle (and as a principle, it must shape the entire application of law), it is shown how this principle interferes with the perception of real public interest, and in this way, how it will be understood as an interest embodied to the constitutional project, in the present and in the future. At this point, any areas of decision-making can only be interpreted / understood from a frame of sustainability, what means a frame which would compel the continued implementation of the constitutional project, and continuous and increased realization of fundamental rights. In this context, it is proposed that legal interpretation is attached with the aforementioned frame, consolidating a hermeneutic with eyes on the future and on the sustainability of the constitutional project, which will restrict the freedom of decision-making action, particularly state discretion, in order to refrain selfish interests and situations of unsustainability; what will have a material impact on the understanding of institutes as existential minimum, reserve of the possible, and social setback prohibition, institutes that must be understood in the light of the sustainability here mentioned.

Politika firemní pohostinnosti ve světle křesťanské etiky / Politics of Corporate Hospitality in Light of Christian Ethics

Havelka, Ondřej January 2018 (has links)
The Diploma Thesis "Corporate Hospitality Policy in the Light of Christian Ethics" deals with the question whether there is a fair form and degree of rationalized corporate hospitality compatible with the bases of both general and Christian ethics. The thesis presents a comprehensive view of a wide range of approaches to corporate hospitality from selfless, over rationalized, up to binding, manipulating and corrupt. Corporate hospitality is a very current, widely used management tool. It can be a gratitude for cooperation, expression of regard and respect for a business partner, or demonstration of openness to future cooperation. However, corporate hospitality need not always be a step toward the other's unsecured space, but on the contrary, the effort to pre-ensure that space, and gain an advantage. Such hospitality can bind or even manipulate a business partner, with the goal of getting a job, insuring co-operation, or facilitating a way to profit. Such hospitality is already on the brink of corruption. An important part of the work is therefore to define corporate hospitality in relation to corruption and a deeper assessment of individual approaches to corporate hospitality. The thesis presents criteria of morally justifiable corporate hospitality and its limits elaborated for a particular...
