This document is a theological proposal for evangelization in the contemporary world. The intention is to analyze attitudes and positions of Casaldáliga in the Prelacy and in Latin America, highlighting their evangelization character in light of the papal document. Divided in three chapters, in the first chapter brings out the pre-historic and the history of the Prelacy, divided into five periods. In the second, a summary of Paul VI exhortation is presentation with additional commentaries. The theoretic reference of this thesis, Evangelii Nuntiandi, in third chapter, will be the basis for the analysis of Casaldáliga in the Prelacy and in Latin America. Thus there is dialectic, detailing what justifies or not the evangelizing mission of Casaldáliga. In the conclusion is discussed, based on history, the liberating utopia of the prophet, pastor and saint, Casaldáliga, within the reality of a church that has changed substantially making evangelization more complex.

Pobreza e alianças: análise das relações entre uma comunidade de vida e aliança no Espírito Santo e a cidade de São Paulo / Poverty and alliances: an analysis of the relations between a life and alliance within the Holy Ghost community and the city of São Paulo

Jacinto, Pierina Angélica Soratto 21 February 2011 (has links)
This dissertation examines the mutual construction of religion and the city. More specifically, the analysis is focused in how catholic activities, houses and beliefs conceive and are related to urban spaces and actors, articulating circuits, patches and turfs in São Paulo. On the other hand, this approach also analyses how the city, as a social reality historically constructed, framed formatted the establishment, as well as how it reflects on the catholic activities, houses and beliefs observed. The empirical object of this research consists of a religious organization usually classified as a life and alliance within the Holy Ghost community, called Mercy alliance, anthropologically analyzed by means of the ethnographic theoretical and methodological resource (method). The Mercy Alliance is constituted as a religious actor, which establishes its houses and activities, therefore relating itself to the city, by means of a broad notion of poverty. This Christian notion of poverty is responsible for the making of several alliances, on which the observed community legitimates and supports its actions in different urban domains. Finally, the notion of poverty developed by the Mercy Alliance engenders the demonization of certain urban spaces and actors, classified as poor in a material sense, thus articulating a definition of the city as hell that shall be evangelized by new and different methods.

Aspectos fundamentais da teologia do laicato a partir da exortação apostólica Christifideles Laici

Francisco, Fernando Rodrigues 14 August 2012 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Fernando Rodrigues Francisco.pdf: 1021739 bytes, checksum: ab3bc9c64b9e949ea9a8a297e5f31df9 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-08-14 / This study aims to point out the fundamental elements of the theology of the laity present in the documents of the Magisterium of the Church, in a special way in the apostolic exhortation Christifideles Laici, from the blessed John Paul II. It is known that many of these elements had already been listed by renowned theologians way before the Second Vatican Council. However, it was with the Vatican II that the theology of the laity was consolidated and the laymen began to demand a greater participation in the organization and mission in the Church. In the first chapter we see that this council has established important concepts for understanding the theology of the laity: as 'people of God', 'participation', 'communion', 'common priesthood'. Through baptism all believers are co-responsible in the Church's evangelizing mission. Through this baptism all the faithful are co-responsable in the threefold mission of the church. By this sacrament the laymen faithful become participants of the triple munus of Christ. It is from this participation that spring the fundamental elements that characterize the theology of the laity: leadership, holiness, secular mission, ministries, offices, roles, charisms. The laymen faithful, in communion with the Church, working in the temporal reality and take the Good News of Jesus. In the second chapter we point out the essential elements of the theology of the laity present at apostolic exhortation Christifideles Laici. This post-synodal exhortation stated that the saving mission of the Church is held in the world by all baptized christians. The fundamental new of this exhortation is the act of the laymen in the Church and in the world. The lay aggregation and ecclesial criteria for these forms of associations constitute the heart of Christifideles Laici. In the third chapter we understand that the elements of the theology of the laity, well founded, would be useful not only to substantiate the sacrament of baptism and to solve the pastoral problems of the parishes, but also they would help to clarify the relationship between clergy and laymen, the various ministries and charisms, the various vocations and the sanctification of the laymen in the Church and the world. Finally, we saw the effort that the Church must still be taken in applying the theology of the laity, to be a more effective tool used in the dissemination of Gospel in the world. Much remains to be done for the recognition of the lay ministries and the work together with ordained ministers, however, Christifideles Laici pointed the baptism as a starting for a common mission, since all are members of one body whose head is Christ, into the New Evangelization / Este estudo pretende apontar os elementos fundamentais da teologia do laicato presentes nos documentos do Magistério da Igreja, de forma especial na exortação apostólica Christifideles Laici, do beato João Paulo II.

Vieira, Beatriz Trezzi 10 September 2013 (has links)
This study aims to profile the radio news programs and examine how journalism is produced and aired by Rádio Aparecida AM and Rádio Canção Nova AM, two of the most influential Catholic broadcasters in the country. Once those responsible for the radio stations seek to evangelize through their programming, including the journalistic activity, the intrinsic characteristics to the news of these radios, which represent a significant number of stations in Brazil, were observed. Through the analysis of the news programs of these two stations, it was possible to see how they are structured in terms of editorial, religious content, sources interviewed and themes that can be considered characteristic of Catholic radio journalism, as shown by the keepers of the radios. Interviews with representatives of the Catholic Church and experts, as well as consultation to bibliographic sources, complement the basis for reflection on journalism produced in a religious context. It has been concluded that the evangelization through the news provides a service to society, as it ensures space for social causes and seeks to promote human values, defend life and fight for justice, also the principles of journalism ethics itself. However, in this activity, it must be strictly observed the set of duties, principles and standards that guide journalistic activity, in the light of social responsibility and public interest, inherent in the granting of public service broadcasting.

On evangelizing an avatar : an empirical exploration of the expression of faith in virtual reality

Schulte, Steffen Michael 11 1900 (has links)
Mission is a central aspect of the Christian faith and much thought is given to the challenge of proclaiming the gospel in a new context or to a different people group (i.e. contextualization). In recent years, a new context has come to the forefront that has been and is being created through technology, namely virtual reality (VR). The purpose of this study is to explore how contextualization, with regards to evangelization, needs to be done in VR. The proposed thesis is that VR provides a new context in which the Christian faith is, or should be, shared in a contextualized way. Although much thought is given to the question of religion in VR, it mostly focuses on the nature of communities online. This study addresses the issue of online evangelization, which has so far received less attention. This doctoral thesis is structured after the empirical-theological praxis cycle of Faix (2007a), and the Policy Delphi Method (PDM) is the research technique used. Through the PDM, a panel of experts from different backgrounds (theologians, sociologists, and practitioners) discussed the various ways in which VR affects evangelization, the way people form their religious identity, and how contextualization could take place. The aim of this research is to contribute to the field of missiology by investigating VR as a new context in which to proclaim the Christian faith. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / D. Le Musée de l'Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal : un outil d'évangélisation

St-Martin, Jonas 08 1900 (has links)
Throughout the ages, the Church has employed the arts. In the middle ages, in particular, the adornments of cathedrals (sculptures, frescoes, stained-glass) were prized not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their didactic potential—concrete techniques for catechizing and evangelizing. The nativity scenes mounted in the Museum of Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal can be viewed from this perspective. Taking into consideration this mission of evangelization incumbent on the Church, along side the emphasis on the visual in present-day culture and society, we intend to take as a starting point the exhibit of creches during the Christmas season 2009 at the Oratory to see how they might contribute to the effort at evangelization and to the enrichment of Christianity and Christians. In the final analysis, the nativity scene is essentially a work of faith, (not only as regards the faith of the artist but also the faith-experience of the person who looks at it) under the category of a devotion to the Holy Family. In world of change, where the visual arts are considered crucial, this method of evangelization is well-suited to the context of de-Christianization and may be considered as complementary to the traditional methods of evangelization based on speech. They are complementary not in the sense of “going from town to town, preaching and announcing the Good News of the Kingdom of God” (Luke 8, 1) to those who have never heard of Christ, but in the sense of stimulating the curiosity of non-Christian viewers, rekindling the interest of those who no longer practice, and supporting and deepening the faith of the devoted. Keywords: Christianity – Church – transmission – evangelization – education in the faith – museum – nativity scenes – Saint Joseph’s Oratory.
