Pesquisa do Estado da Bahia - FAPEB / The present study has as main objective the research on educational processes in the Museu Casa do Sert?o, belonging to the Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana, in the analysis of the expository route of guided tours. To this end, we used a process of qualitative research with semi-structured interview, questionnaire, analysis of some documents and some observations from the exhibitions. The theoretical framework is constructed according to Certeau's ideas (1996), Canclini (2013), Albuquerque (2011), Cury (2006) among other authors. The discourse of its creator, Eurico Alves Boaventura, is very present in the exhibition, but it also coexists with some elements of modernity in the use of certain industrialized materials present in some objects. The historical perspective is striking in the exhibition, though the exhibits focus on other issues such as, for example, man's relationship with nature. These discursive elements relate to other discursive productions on the Brazilian Northeast accentuating a cultural repertoire that produces a scenario typically propagated by the media. In addition, there was a didactical trend in your exhibitions, assuming that the most of public of this Museum is scholar.

Potiguar, analyzing and understanding the factors that influence it. The study was based on vulnerability analysis chart developed by Turner et al (2003a) , in which the vulnerability involves not only the exposure to hazards , but also the sensitivity and resilience of the system . Data collection was conducted between the months of May and June, in 2013, through questionnaires with 30 producers in the region. Data were tabulated in spreadsheets and analyzed using descriptive statistics and cluster analysis. High levels of exposure and sensitivity were found, as well as a low level of resilience. The result of the study shows that the system is considered at a high level of vulnerability, but the final average found is located very close to the boundary between low and high, showing that there is still a great opportunity to reverse this situation if necessary changes begin to be made in time. It is necessary to continue studies to monitor developments in this situation of vulnerability, identifying of risk categories for which alternatives are consistent with the real needs of producers, seeking to promote a local socioeconomic development and moving toward sustainability of the whole system in the short, medium and long term.

Introduction: During the aging process, physiological changes occur that lead to a decrease in brain processing speed. In recent years virtual reality (VR) has been increasingly applied in rehabilitation centers, so knowing the influence of VR under brain activity, in these populations is necessary. Within this context, Electroencephalography is considered as one of the main means of capturing brain activity. By obtaining the brain activity, we can study it in several ways, one of them is the study of coherence between pairs of electrodes, allowing to analyze the relations of different brain areas and how they exchange information. Objective: This study aims to investigate the immediate influence of exposure to a balance session in a virtual environment on the coherence between the frontal lobes of young and old adults, measured using Emotiv EPOC. Methodology: A comparative study involving 20 individuals divided into the groups: young (GJ) and elderly (GI). After undergoing an evaluation of the general condition, the necessary support for the gait (FAC) and the cognitive state (MEEM), the participants performed during 4 minutes, the penguin slide game of the balancing category of Nintendo Wii, whose effects on the activity Were collected through COPD. Results: The GJ presented similar inter-hemispheric coherence values in the alpha band and in the beta band in comparison to the GI. Regarding phase coherence, the GI presented an anticipation of the right hemisphere while, the GJ presented of the left hemisphere. Conclusion: Virtual reality seems to stimulate both GJ and GI. However, the GJ presented patterns of activation and phase coherence, which suggest compatibility with prior learning to VR, justifying the differences found in phase coherence between the groups.

Introduction: Brain activity is defined as the propagation of electrical impulses in order to promote a functional integration of the brain. Electroencephalography is one of the techniques that allows brain activity?s monitoring by using non-invasive and wireless interfaces. Studies involving EEG have investigated the relationship between changes in patterns of brain activity and in individual behavior. However, knowledge about brain activity during motor tasks and how this activity is characterized in virtual or real environments is still unclear. Objective: Compare theta, alpha, beta and gamma power in healthy young adults during a lower limb motor task performed in a virtual and real environment. Methodology: Cross-over study in which 10 healthy young adults were subjected to an EEG assessment while performing a one-minute task consisted of going up and down a step in a virtual environment (performed by the virtual game ?Basic step?) and real environment. Wilcoxon and t'Student tests were executed to analyze data. Results: Descriptively, theta and alpha power were higher in real environment while beta and gamma power were higher in virtual environment. Virtual environment caused greater activation of the right hemisphere and anterior-frontal channels bilaterally. Furthermore, in theta frequency, the right occipital region?s activity in real environment was higher than in virtual environment (p <0.05). Conclusion: Theta, alpha, beta and gamma power observed while performing a motor task present variation according to environment in which the individual is being exposed - real or virtual. Thus, we emphasize the implementation of future studies in order to promote basis for clinical decision-making so that the choice of the therapeutic environment (real or virtual) would be according to the brain areas that are in need for activation.

It contains the doctrine of sensitivity responsible for the intuitions, which rests on the concepts of space and time, and, with this, the tematiza??o of two important questions. For Kant s philosophy in its epistemologic source what s the importance of the concepts of and time? How these concepts of space and time inscribe themselves with such statute as an investigatory task of metaphysics? The specification of the concepts of space and time as ingredients of the theories treated and enrolled in this work are segmented of the Aesthetic transcendental of Kant, and interpreted under Strawson s light. The research is divided in two chapter; first, constituted of two parts, the first part presents an introduction to the Aesthetic transcendental of Kant, to show the doctrine of the sensitivity which is part of with its forms space and time, authentic forms of the intuition. The second chapter, is constituted of four parts, that deal with the interpretation of the austere model of Strawson and related with Kant s transcendental Aesthetic. The conclusion of our work, about the declared objection of Strawson in its austere interpretation that refuses the idea of space and time, even keeping its a priori character, cannot be accepted. The apriority, the intuitivity and the ideality are theories non-separable in a coherent boarding of space and time of Kant s model of epistemology / Este trabalho tem por objetivo fazer uma interpreta??o textual da est?tica transcendental kantiana, a primeira pilastra de sustenta??o da epistemologia de Kant e interpret?-la ? luz de Strawson.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most effective therapeutic approaches for PTSD. Although effective, some patients are refractory to imaginal exposure, a frequently used thecnique in CBT for PTSD, and there is a high dropout rate. In order to increase therapeutic efficacity and treatment adherence, Virtual Reality (VR) devices have been developed since 1990 to be used in Virtual Exposure Therapy (VET). This therapy is a variation of CBT therapeutic interventions that have been showing good outcomes. However, most researches in this area study military populations or victims of terrorist attacks. Few studies have been found in literature review about the treatment of victims of urban violence, a very common type of trauma in developing countries such as Brazil. Still, some occupations are more exposed to violence, as is the case of bank employees. The objective of this study is to evaluate posttraumatic reactions in victims of bank robberies and the efficacy of VET in the treatment of PTSD. This study is composed of (1) an introduction to the main concepts used to develop this research; (2) a theoretical review of the advantages and disadvantages of VET in the treatment of PTSD; (3) an empirical section on an assessment of posttraumatic reactions on bank employees victims of bank robberies who sought psychological care; (3) a presentation of a VET protocol for victims of bank robberies who develop PTSD; (4) an evaluation of the proposed treatment protocol through a case study of a bank employee with PTSD and (5) final considerations of the main findings of this work. The results suggest that bank employee?s victims of robberies who sought psychological care present an elevated percentage of psychiatric disorders. Among them, PTSD is the most frequent. In the case study performed, the VET protocol proved to be efficient, with reduction of posttraumatic, depressive and anxiety symptoms. / The risk of metabolic syndrome can be influenced by inadequate vitamin D levels, and exposure to sunlight is the main external source of vitamin D. This study assessed the influence of environmental, biological and nutritional factors as a function of seasons on the 25OHD status among individuals with metabolic syndrome. A cross-sectional study was developed with 180 adult and elderly individuals of both genders, between 18-80 years of age, with metabolic syndrome according to the National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III (NCEP-ATP III) criteria. The 25OHD concentration was considered dependent variable; the independent variables were age, gender, skin color, use of sunscreen, skin type, sun exposure score, ultraviolet index (UVI), geographic location, season, body mass index (BMI), waist-hip ratio (WHR), waist circumference (WC), parathyroid hormone (PTH) level, total serum calcium level, and diet levels of calcium and vitamin D. The potential predictors for the 25OHD levels were investigated using 16 univariate linear regression models and seven multiple regression models. Measures of association and correlation were established and statistical significance was assumed for P < 0.05 (5%). The 25OHD status differed significantly between winter and summer (P = 0.017). The average 25OHD level was insufficient during the winter (25.89 ? 7.61 ng/mL) and sufficient during the summer (31.81 ? 10.22 ng/mL), with an increase of 5.59 ng/mL in the summer. In the simple linear regression model, 25OHD concentration was significantly associated with the summer season (P = 0.003); the season variable explained 4.2% of the variability in 25OHD concentration. The sun exposure score was significantly associated with 25OHD concentration (P = 0.008), explaining 3.4% of the variability. In the multiple regression model, gender (P = 0.27), WHR (P = 0.27), sun exposure score (P = 0.006), and winter vs. summer (P = 0.004) explained 10.4% of the variation in 25OHD concentration. Men had a 25OHD concentration 3.71 ng/mL higher than that of women. An increase of 1.0 unit in the sun exposure score resulted in an increase of approximately 0.16 ng/mL on 25OHD concentration. WHR showed an inverse association with the 25OHD concentration. The summer season and sun exposure influenced the 25OHD status in individuals with metabolic syndrome living in a region of Brazil with a high ultraviolet radiation index.

The macroinfauna of two sandy beaches were sampled between winter-2005 and summer-2006 during low tide; one beach was protected (Flamengo beach) located in Guanabara bay, and the other was exposed to waves in the oceanic zone (Grumari beach). The hypothesis that the physical characteristics of the beaches determine the difference in composition and relative abundance of the macroinfauna was tested. Flamengo beach was characterized as dissipative and had comparatively higher t?xon richenes and lower biomass, when compared with Grumari beach that was classsified as reflective. In Flamengo beaches, higher abundance was recordded for Enoploides sp, and Emerita brasiliensis, whereas in Grumari beach Sacocirrus sp and E. brasiliensis were the most abundant taxons. The beaches showed highe dissimilarity in composition and relative abundance of the taxons (91.75%). Sacocirrus sp, Enoploides sp, Dispio uncinata, Scolelepis goodbobyi and E. brasiliensis explained 63.70% of the dissimilarity between the two beaches. In both beaches, we observed extratification in occurence and abundance of the macroinfauna in two seasons. Emerita brasiliensis occurred mainly in Grumary beach in the extrate 1 and Sacocirrus sp in extrate 2, while in Flamengo beach E. brasiliensis and Enoploides sp had the highest abundance in extrate 1 and S. goodbody and D. uncinata in extrate 3. The hypothesis that the macrofauna differs among extrate and beaches was accepted and the differences in composition and relative abundance of the macroinfauna were attributed to morphodynamism, althought other environmental factores can be influencing such differences.

This work has as object the elaboration of social environmental indicator of disaster risk that are present in precarious areas of human occupation, related to intense environmental dynamic from the perspective of the studies about the subject in Geography. The District of M?e Luiza in Natal, capital city of Rio Grande do Norte, was defined as the study area. The place was chosen because it presents ?historically- several vulnerability conditions and exposure to disaster risk. After a local social environmental description, two indexes were elaborated: the Social Vulnerability Index (SVI or IVS in Portuguese), based on 17 (seventeen) variables arranged on a questionnaire addressed to the population nucleus of the district, on regular grid (systematic sampling), classified into 5 (five) levels of SV from the weighted average; and the Physical and Natural Exposure to the Mass Movements Index (EMMI or IEMM in Portuguese) which had 16 (sixteen) variables that feature conditions of exposure to the mass movements in the district with classified levels from the weighted average of 1 (one) to 5 (five). The relationship between these two results, specialized in the district map, produced the Social Environmental Vulnerability Index (SEVI or IVSA in Portuguese) of M?e Luiza, also classified into 5 (five) levels, following the Boolean logic correlation for cartographic overlay with use of computer software ArcGIS v.9.3, being named as: Very Low; low; average; high; and Very High Environmental Vulnerability in District. The study is based on the methodology proposed by Guerra et al (2009) for EMMI and by Almeida (2010) for SVI. They were modified and adapted according to the local reality, producing a new methodology in this study area. It was concluded that the neighborhood has most of its area with High and Very High Socio-environmental vulnerability to disasters, defined seven (7) critical areas, with Very High IVSA, and hazards associated with mass movements or flooding. In the end, the main issues that were found, such as generating elements for proposing mitigation measures and/or the proposed interventions were enumerated, related to structural order of vulnerability factors: how low constructive pattern of households; poor urban drainage; Real Estate forsaken in landslide routes; infrastructure ready access roads and slope containment. And social: as a lack of education about environmental risk; income and education of residents; presence of persons with limited mobility and/or those with special needs. This reality highlights the need for urgent action applied to the resolution and/or reduction of these problems, which is focusing the end of this work.
