Facebook is today the biggest ads platform in the world. This makes it strategi- cally smart for companies to run their ads on the platform. To follow up the result from these ads is an important part for the companies to know if the target audience is the right one. The purpose with this thesis was to investigate if it’s possible for the company Leeroy to develope their own system that follow up ad conversion for Facebook ads. But also investigate how to implement Facebook’s own system and if other systems could be used. From this two purposes a number of goals have been set, which all could be answered. A pilot study resulted in the gathering of information if an own solution could be implemented. The result of this pilot study results in the answer no, an own solution could not be implemented at this state. Through the pilot study a recommended solution could be presented where Facebook’s system is the recommended way to go. This result is based on a system comparison between Facebook and Google Firebase. This recommended solution has resulted in a implementation guide that Leeroy can use to implement Facebook SDK in their application portfolio based on React Native. / Facebook är idag världens största annonsplattform vilket gör det strategiskt smart för företag att annonsera sin produkt eller sina tjänster på plattformen. Att följa upp resultatet av dessa annonser är för företagen en viktig parameter för att veta om den annonserade målgruppen är rätt. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka om ett eget system för mobilapplikationer hos företaget Leeroy kan utvecklas för uppföljning av annonskonverteringar hos Facebook-annonser och hur Facebooks egna system implementeras och om andra system går att använda. Utifrån detta syfte kunde ett antal mål fastställas som alla kunde besvaras. Utifrån en förstudie kunde information insamlas om hurvida en egen lösning går att tillämpa. Vilket resulterat i svaret nej, det är idag inte möjligt att utveckla en egen lösning. Genom förstudiens resultat kan en rekommenderad lösning presenteras där Facebooks system rekommenderas utifrån en jämförelse mellan Facebook och Google Firebase. Denna rekommenderade lösning har resulterat i en implementationsguide som Leeroy kan använda för att implementera Facebook SDK i sin applikationsportfölj baserat på React Native.

<p>The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to analyze if there is a correlation between stock prices and the amount of searches of the companies names on Google. The theories used in the study were Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) and Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH). Regressions analysis is used as the statistical method to see if there is a significant correlation between the stock prices and the amout of searches of the company name on Google. The data used were the rate of return of three companies (ABB, Oriflame and Sandvik) on the Nasdaq OMX Nordic stock market, the rate of return of the Nasdaq OMX Nordic stock market index (OMX Stockholm_PI) and the Google search frequency from Google Trends on each company. Electronic availability of information resources has increasingly become an important part of academic libraries everyday vocation. This is a fact that puts impetus on the libraries to know more about the way in which electronic information is being dispersed and handled. This thesis aims to comparatively evaluate Uppsala university library´s own metadata system Summon with the publicly available equivalent Google scholar. The evaluation is based on Péter Jacsó´s theories on database evaluation which concretely puts focus on Summon and Google scholar via the use and application of ten different criteria. The uses of precision and relevance criteria were also implemented as additional evaluation tools. The results indicate that Google scholar at the moment has to be seen as a necessary complement in retrieving electronic information due to the fact that Summon is not yet fully functioning on all levels. This is a two years master’s thesis in Archive, Library and Museum studies.

Visualisering av statistik är ett tydligt sätt att presentera data som annars kan ses som svår att tyda och analysera. Med hjälp av visualiseringar på webben kan man nå ut till många och det är ett smidigt sätt att ta med sig och dela med sig av information. Denna rapport bygger på ett experiment där olika JavaScriptbibliotek jämförs baserat på tiden det tar att rita ut diagram av olika storlekar och typer. Linjediagram, punktdiagram och stapeldiagram skapas med de olika biblioteken. Vilka bibliotek som jämförs väljs ut utifrån ett antal kriterier och Chart.js, Google Charts och Plotly.js är de som uppfyller alla krav. Undersökningar där utritningstiden mäts genomförs och resultaten visar att Chart.js är snabbast på att rita ut diagram i de flesta mätningarna. Det finns signifikanta skillnader mellan alla diagrammätningar förutom mellan Linjediagram 2 skapat med Chart.js och Linjediagram 2 skapat med Plotly.js samt Plotly.js Stapeldiagram 1 och Plotly.js Stapeldiagram 5. Mätningarna visar också att diagram som baseras på större datamängd, i de flesta fall, också har längre utritningstid än diagram baserade på mindre datamängd.

[pt] A crescente urbanização vem gerando grandes e médias cidades, que sem o devido planejamento urbano, enfrentam problemas cotidianos. Dentre esses problemas podem-se destacar aqueles ligados a mobilidade, que mostram que o atual modelo de circulação é caro e impactante. Torna-se assim evidente a necessidade de repensar a mobilidade urbana, incentivando a utilização e evolução de meios de transporte coletivos de qualidade e ambientalmente sustentáveis, contribuindo dessa forma para o desenvolvimento das cidades e para a qualidade de vida de sua população. Uma opção para melhorar a mobilidade é o VLT (Veículo Leve sobre Trilhos) que opera por força da eletricidade, induz a renovação urbana, e atrai usuários de outros transportes coletivos e do transporte individual, contribuindo desta forma para a implantação de uma mobilidade urbana mais sustentável e inclusiva. Deste modo, em 2014 foi iniciado o projeto de implantação de VLT na região central do Rio de Janeiro, e neste trabalho é apresentada a ferramenta de monitoramento de obras criada e utilizada em sua execução. Após análises da ferramenta é possível concluir que este modelo atendeu bem a seus propósitos, principalmente na etapa de planejamento, apresentando um meio de medir o progresso de construção de fácil compreensão, com amplo alcance dentre os gerentes do projeto e online, necessidades crescentes na indústria da construção. Sendo assim, este estudo demonstra um caráter atual, ao tentar desenvolver uma ferramenta que atende a uma demanda na indústria da construção, e inovador já que poucos estudos neste tema foram realizados na construção do VLT. / [en] The increasing urbanization has generated large and medium cities, which without proper urban planning, face daily problems. Among these problems can be detach those linked to mobility, which shows that the current circulation model is expensive and impactful. Becomes evident the need to rethink the urban mobility, encouraging the use and evolution of quality and sustainable means of transportation, thus contributing to the cities development and to the population life quality. An option to improve the mobility is the tramway that operates by electricity force, induces urban renewal, and attracts other collective transportation modes and individual transportation users, thus contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive urban mobility implantation. In this way, in 2014 was started the tramway implantation project in the central zone of Rio de Janeiro, and in this work it is presented a construction work monitoring tool created and used in your execution. After the tool analyses it is possible to conclude that this model served its purposes, mainly in the planning stage, presenting a way to measure the construction progress easy to understand, with wide reach between the project managers and online, construction industry growing needs. Therefore, this study demonstrate itself current, when try to develop a tool that meets a construction industry demand, and innovative since few studies in this theme were realized in the tramway construction.

The thesis is focused on the characteristics of the key features of the operating system Google Chrome OS and on the evaluation of deployment of this operating system in practise. The theoretical part describes the purpose and philosophy of the commercial operating system Google Chrome OS and its relation with Chrome web browser. The connection with open-source projects Chromium and Chromium OS is explained. Details of application development and deployment options, in the form of virtualization and domain administration, are analysed. The practical part applies theoretical knowledge from the development of applications for Chrome OS to create thin client application for remote control of hardware sensor over the internet. This sensor is designed and built on the platform Arduino. The sensor measures the temperature and humidity of the ambient air and remote controls high-voltage switching relays. Communication over TCP/IP uses modern MQTT protocol, for which the server is configured with MQTT Broker Mosquitto.
The next section demonstrates the procedure for building a customized build of Chromium OS from the publicly provided Google source codes. Based on the evaluation of the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, I assess the possibility of deploying the Chrome OS in private and commercial areas.

Previous issue date: 2014-07-03 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The performance and consolidation of Google has been seen as a communication phenomenon of large proportions, achieving a hegemony over other systems of Internet searches, expanding, increasingly, to other markets with a clear domain and control of the processes of information. It is from this focus that the present study aims to examine these dynamics of expansion, control and mastery of information by the company. The acquisition of other companies by Google makes possible the establishment of its hegemony, threatening the liberty and privacy of network user. The main purpose of our research is the investigation of Google‟s actions, their possible implications for the network society and also the risks that their strategies could cause into the collective intelligence. From an exploratory research, we conducted a case study using Google‟s actions as the center of our observations, samples and analysis. This study allowed to identify the need that users have of creating mechanisms of resistance to manipulation and control of information, and indicate three types of opposition to the domination of Google on the Internet. / A atuação e consolidação do Google tem se mostrado como um fenômeno comunicacional de grandes proporções, alcançando uma hegemonia por sobre os demais sistemas de buscas da Internet, que se expande, cada vez mais, para outros mercados com um evidente domínio e controle dos processos de informação. É partindo desse foco que o presente trabalho pretende analisar essas dinâmicas de expansão, controle e domínio da informação pela empresa. A aquisição de outras companhias pelo Google torna possível a instauração de sua hegemonia, ameaçando a liberdade e privacidade dos usuários da rede. O objetivo central de nossa pesquisa é a investigação das ações do Google, suas possíveis implicações para a sociedade em rede e também os riscos que suas estratégias podem causar à inteligência coletiva. Partindo de uma pesquisa exploratória, realizamos um estudo de caso colocando as ações do Google como centro de nossas observações, coletas e análises. Este estudo permitiu verificar a necessidade que os usuários têm de criar mecanismos de resistência à manipulação e o controle da informação, e também apontar três formas de oposição ao domínio da empresa na Internet.

O objetivo geral está em verificar as referidas mudanças na comunicação empresarial, sobretudo na parte mercadológica . A pesquisa gira em torno da descrição das novas formas de comunicação no contexto das organizações, e consequentemente, a avaliação da exposição e monitoramento de informações de seus públicos-alvo. Para tanto, é preciso refletir sobre as alterações sociais e administrativas, bem como a importância da gestão do conhecimento como pilar essencial para esta suposta mudança. A escolha do tema se justifica uma vez que atualizações nas relações de comunicação e marketing surgem, dada a inserção da interatividade propiciada pela internet e o valor dado atualmente à informação. Paralelamente, é importante destacar a questão da vigilância e exposição e sua aplicabilidade no contexto da sociedade e das organizações, observando-as à luz da análise da empresa Google. / The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the changes in the relations of propagation and use of information by the advent of new communication technologies , such as the Internet . The overall objective is to verify those changes in business communication , especially in the marketing part . The research revolves around the description of new forms of communication in the context of organizations, and consequently, exposure assessment and monitoring information of its target audiences. Therefore, it is necessary to think about of the social and administrative changes as well as the importance of information and knowledge as essential pillars for this supposed change . The theme is justified since it updates the relations of communication and marketing arise , given the inclusion of interactivity afforded by the internet and the amount currently given to information. In parallel , it is important to highlight the issue of surveillance and exposure and its applicability in the context of society and organizations , observing them according of the analysis of the Google company.
