<p>The aim of this essay is to find some of the main developing tendencies in the advertisement genre during the period of 1930-2000. The analysis is based on three examples of Gevalia cinema and TV-advertisement. Research findings are the result of using theories from different but relevant sciences, which are media, linguistics and rhetoric. Media studies help to explain the influence of the society and technology development on the advertising business. Linguistics and rhetoric give the main methods and terminology for the basic as well as comparing analyses of the three advertisements in question. Results show unexpectedly homogeneous and strong development tendencies in both the visual product representation and the persuasive ability of the advertisement during the analysed period.</p>

<p>Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka om friluftsliv och skolverksamhet för årskurs 1-6 samverkar med varandra. Fokus har legat på att undersöka om lokala mål för friluftsverksamheten förekommer och om olika skolämnen integreras av friluftsverksamheten i skolan. Skolors omfattning av friluftsverksamhet och lärares utbildning inom friluftsliv eller utomhuspedagogik redovisas även. Metoden som har lett till resultaten är en enkätundersökning som skickades ut till 20 olika kommuner, och urvalet blev 77 svar från lärare verksamma i årskurs 1-6 från 18 kommuner. För att ge rättvisa åt studien rekommenderas att man ser igenom metodbeskrivningen innan man läser resultaten. Vad som framkommer är att ca en tredjedel av lärarna, som undersökningen omfattar, inte vet om de har lokala friluftsmål att arbeta efter och ungefär lika många anger att de inte har några friluftsmål att rätta sig efter. Nästan hälften av de lärare som ansvarar för skolans friluftsverksamhet har inte satt upp några mål för den. Historiskt sett var skolans friluftsverksamhet mycket detaljerat i form om innehåll, medan dagens friluftsliv i skolan har väldigt få mål och riktlinjer. Idrott, NO och matematik är de skolämnen som flitigast blir integrerade i friluftsverksamheten. Omfattningen av skolornas friluftsliv är mycket varierande där skolor på landsbygden har fler friluftsdagar än stadsskolor. Historiskt sett har det skett en förändring då stadsskolor omfattades av fler friluftsdagar än byskolorna. Det har även skett en mindre ökning av friluftsdagar för samtliga skolor än vad som genomfördes på 80-talet.</p>

<p>Det huvudsakliga syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka elevers läsvanor och attityder till skönlitteratur. I min studie, som riktar in sig på elever i årskurs 9, vill jag ta reda på pojkars och flickors läsvanor och attityder och se om det framkommer några skillnader dem emellan. Jag vill få reda på hur mycket eleverna läser och hur mycket tid som ägnas åt läsning i jämförelse med andra aktiviteter. Jag tog del av tidigare forskning inom området och genomförde sedan en enkätundersökning på en skola i en svensk storstad. Min undersökning visar att det är stor skillnad på hur mycket eleverna läser. Det är också skillnad på hur mycket flickor och pojkar läser. Eleverna ägnar relativt lite tid åt att läsa böcker jämfört med vissa andra aktiviteter. Flickor och pojkar ägnar heller inte lika mycket tid åt att läsa böcker.</p>

<p>Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur pedagoger på förskolan resonerar runt sin inomhusmiljö och sitt leksaksinnehav, samt hur barnen inspireras av miljöns uppbyggnad och vilka leksaker barnen intresserar sig mer eller mindre för. De undersökta områdena är inomhusmiljö, barnens lek, leksaksinnehav på fyra förskolor, samt en jämförelse av två traditionellt kommunala förskolor och två förskolor med Waldorfpedagogisk inriktning. Metoden jag har använt är kvalitativa intervjuer med en pedagog från varje förskola, samt observationer av lekmiljöerna. Genom pedagogerna har jag fått information om barnens lek. Mitt resultat är att pedagogerna inreder för att sänka ljudnivån, ha olika vrår för olika aktiviteter och ge barnen utrymme för att få vara ifred. På de kommunala förskolorna har de gott om plats med flera lekrum och många olika leksaker för att det ska finnas något som tilltalar alla barn. Waldorfförskolorna har endast ett litet lekrum med bara några få och enkla leksaker i naturmaterial som ska utveckla barnens fantasi.</p>

<p>The form of my essay is that all human communication, can be seen as a practical knowledge, witch can be trained. I describe how I came in to a pedagogic activity, which is aimed to train people’s communicative ability in their working life and in school. This is made in the form of lectures, seminars and training program. In this essay, I even describe my personally background and what it was, that made me work with people outside the theatre. The theatre that former had been my professional affiliation. The reader is invited to follow me in how I carry out a seminar and to get a picture of how a training program can look like. I describe how some unsuccessful appearance as an actor and as lecturer made me to reflect about what underlying conditions sets the scene for a successful performance. My conclusion is that it has to do with being totally present in the situation.</p><p>I ask myself if it really is possible to work in the manner that I do. At the same time I realize that I have been doing so for the past 10 years. But is this really something for the working life? What use can people have of studies and training in communication? These doubts has followed me in my work ever since I started and was the reason for me to start developing a pedagogical training program in practical communication, based on my knowledge in theatre and studies in communication theories. Over the years I have come across a lot of doubt, showing itself in the way I have been perceived, difficulties to see the value in what I am offering and understanding on what the studies are about and lead to. At the same time I have seen it as my task to explain my standpoint and to learn which methods that work and which that do not.</p><p>I am pursuing a discourse on how theatre method can be linked to communication and explain some of the key parts of my work and how it is taught. This is largely about a work in process, where understanding on what is happening in the different stages of the training is vital. How experience based learning and feelings inflict our way to act and achieve new knowledge. The importance of feelings and what some researchers on the brain have thought and written in this matter has influenced my outlook on science. Finally I write about the connection between empathy and the ethical aspects of communication.</p>

<p>The interest in providing a post 9/11 image of Islam to contrast the media’s frequent focus on its practitioners’ alleged tendencies toward hostility and violence has in Sweden manifested itself (among other things) in an increased range of courses on Islam given by denominational Muslim organizations. In this paper I examine the construction of Islam by two Muslim organizations that offer education in Islam to non-Muslims in the context of the management’s stated goals of the education. My aim is to illustrate how discourses within these organizations are a result of the combination of local and global conditions.</p>

<p>The concern of this essay is to analyze how boxing terminology is used metaphorically in different contexts. The objective is to investigate the targets that these terms as the source domain are most often aimed at, i.e. what is described metaphorically by the use of boxing terms, and to analyze the possible reasons why a particular boxing term is chosen as the source to understand a particular target.</p>
