Impact du changement climatique sur le métabolisme des protéines d’une espèce clé des communautés intertidales, Mytilus edulis (L.) / Impact of global change on protein metabolism homeostasis in an intertidal key species, Mytilus edulis (L.)

Péden, Romain 21 June 2016 (has links)
Intertidal organisms live in a fluctuating environment. The blue mussel Mytilus edulis is a key species of those ecosystems and are largely use as sentinel species. Global warming associated with anthropization will expose mussels to contaminations together with increased temperatures. In addition, more frequent heatwaves are expected. In this work, mussels were collected at two sites depicting contrasted levels of contamination and thermal exposure in microcosm were conducted. Two acclimation scenarios were set up prior to exposure to an identical acute thermal stress. In order to decipher joint effects of acclimation and contamination on protein homeostasis, gill proteome comparisons were performed. High mortality was observed only for mussels collected at the contaminated site and acclimated to current temperatures. Concerning gill proteome analysis, organisms from the pristine site exhibit high abundance of thermal stress proteins. Proteoforms involved in anaerobic metabolism were also up-regulated. Interestingly, mussels acclimated to the higher temperatures show an enhanced response compare to the one acclimated to current temperatures. Concerning mussels from the contaminated site, the response appears more confusing, excepted for heat stress protein response. This may indicate deleterious effects of combined contamination and heat stress. Therefore, organisms acclimated to higher temperature display improved responses. In conclusion, mussels with a clean life history show better physiological abilities than individuals with contaminated life history. Moreover, organisms prepared to heat stress by higher acclimation temperatures also develop a more effective response.

John Bellenden's Chronicles of Scotland : translation and circulation

Harikae, Ryoko January 2010 (has links)
John Bellenden's Chronicles of Scotland (1531-r. 1537) is a humanist Scots translation of Hector Boece's Scotorum Historia (1527). As the first full-scale printed national history in the vernacular, the Chronicles assumed a pivotal role in sixteenth-century Scottish literary culture. Despite its contemporary importance, however, relatively little critical attention has been paid to Bellenden's work itself, primarily due to the misconception that it is a neutral translation of the Scotorum Historia. However, as Bellenden successively revised his text in several stages with stylistical, ideological and material alterations, the Chronicles needs to be evaluated as an individual literary work. The <en>Chronicles reveals much about translation practice, cultural attitudes and book history in early modern Scotland. This thesis situates John Bellenden as a leading vernacular humanist whose concern to heighten the quality of vernacular Scots gave major impetus to the vernacular tradition in Scottish historiography. Chapter 1 shows how Bellenden's overall translation policy is indebted to humanist literary precepts and shows how its embodiment evolves through the course of his revision work. The following three chapters, which deal with Books 1, 12 and 16 of the Chronicles respectively, demonstrate the changing nature of Bellenden's translation and revision practice. A comparative analysis of the first manuscript version, three intermediary manuscript versions and the final printed version exhibits how Bellenden's attitude towards the Chronicles is affected by his ultimate respect for humanistic quality, and his consideration of his patrons and his audience. Chapter 5 examines the contemporary reception of the Chronicles. The conclusion seeks to reevaluate the congruity of the Chronicles with the contemporary cultural milieu and its influence on subsequent historiography and literature within and outwith early modern Scotland.

Hrdelní soudnictví, kriminalita a každodenní život na panství Náchod a v královském městě Nymburce v letech 1513-1620 / Capital jurisdiction, criminality and everyday life on domain of Náchod and in king's town Nymburk between the years 1513-1618

Šmíd, Petr January 2011 (has links)
Capital jurisdiction, criminality and everyday life on domain of Náchod and in king's town Nymburk between the years 1513-1618 In this diploma paper I dealt with criminality and everyday life on the early modern domain of Náchod and in the king's town Nymburk between the years 1513-1620. Firstly I tried to describe how the town councils worked and with which central regulations they operated. Secondly I did the statistic quatification of all criminal delicts which are mentioned in "pitch" or "black" books of Náchod and Nymburk and other materials of court provenance. Then I compared court causes from other "pitch"/ "black" books which were published in the past with material from Náchod's and Nymburk's archive. I managed to use modern historical methods such as microhistory and historical anthropology to show which postures took early modern society to different types of criminal delicts or problematic phenomenona like sexual life before marriage, suicide, rape or witchcraft. In connection with this I tried to clear up why were criminal delicts like infanticide or witchcraft punished with such a brutal death penalty. As well as this I attempted to describe in details the fact that punishment was not irreversible. The town council was very open to requests of mercy especially if a priest or a clerk of local...

Trajetórias de formação de professoras de educação infantil: história oral de vida / Formation paths of chilhood educators: oral history of life

Silva, Talita Dias Miranda e 02 May 2012 (has links)
This study has as objective to understand the formations trajectories of seven childhood educators training paths, through narratives of experiences, teachers involved with a continuous formation proposal during service inspired on the integrative contexts conception. We aim, inside these oral reports of lifes memories, to realize the process of formation owned by these professionals who work . To reach that objective we have used the Oral History of Life and the biography approach to unveiling the formation and professional history of childhood educators who work, bringing to light meanings, chooses, challenges faced at formations trajectories and their profession while they are experiencing teacher identity building processes. Thus, we have had the following guiding questions: Which circumstances have had propitiated the reach for formations processes? Which are the meanings attributed to childhood educators? We aim is to cope with the discussions related to life history theme and teachers formation about theories defended by authors such as Novoa, Pineau, Josso, Day, Tardif, Catani e Souza, comprehending the experiences paths, revealing the formatives processes of personal and professional development. With the result of this research, we hope to contribute to evidence the meanings of childhood educators formations trajectories, once the use of biography approach constitute an essential component to revel inside routes the experiences of learning, devices, rituals, identity former habitus. The study also aim to collaborate with discussions related to history of life and Oral History thematic and to delineate theses questions about teachers education within childhood educators, understanding that the routes and experiences explicit and revel the formations processes of personal and professional development.

Aspectos da formação da identidade do migrante: pedagogia da escolha, imaginário e sociedade / Aspects of migrants identity training : pedagogy of choice, imaginary and society

Giraldes, Antônio Roberto 09 May 2016 (has links)
The theories about identity, much more than tread on a place of methods that, throught the times, refuse to be renewed, become a web, observant mandalas, criteria and perceptions varied themselves and between the object in question, in an fleeting construct, however, extremely fascinating for researcher, who is an eternal seeker of the human identity and seeker from itself. The objective of this work is to establish a discussion about the ways in which this identities path can be contemplated, relating it to the migrants and to how they use their experiences to recreate their direction in the world and, consequently, their identities. Therefore, departing from EDGAR MORIN and his conception of complex reason, an interlacing among some fields of knowledge was made: a focus on culture and society (CASTELLS, BAUMAN and HALL), as well imaginary anthropology and anthropological path (BACHELARD, DURAND and MAFFESOLI). In this interlacing, we articulated stereotyped concepts, arquetipia, otherness and alienation, linking them to globalization, the late modernity, the pedagogy of choice and love fati (NIETZCHE). The subjects participants of process are migrants that, departing from various communicative forms linked to them life stories (RUBIO), make up, each one their identity. In these stories, great possibilities of epistemological meetings were observed, such between anthropology of the imaginary and sociological theories, as if the bridges between knowledge, by arising, bringed news paths for our understanding about identities: collective, individual, social or imaginary. In addition, migration is noted as bridge and discovery perceptions about identity, path on which late modernity spends itself, referring to the cultures mosaic illuminated for globalization, understood both as cause and consequence of those social phenomena: the migrant / wanderer and his life stories illustrate and contemplate truths and repertoires very important to an human existential accomplishment face of late modernity.

It looks into the paths taken and the practices carried out by ten educators from the Superior Institute- Uniarax? - Centro Universit?rio do Planalto de Arax? (MG), restoring the different ways and the significance of self-construction and pedagogic practices in the qualification of future educators. The choice was for the qualitative research and for the methodology of oral History of life, a challenge for the historians who decide to use it. We highlighted the social-economic constitution of the subjects as an essential aspect in the search for the understanding of human subjectivity. More important than the interview technique was the search for the sensibility to comprehend the interviewees feelings and their importance in the process of self-construction as well as their educational actions. The paths taken, the ways and the meaning of the researched subjects revealed that people are not born teachers, but become teachers through several facts, life experiences, and sharing of experiences that constitute and institute them. People are teachers/professors and even in doubts, facing difficulties and re-arranging paths, education is seen as a means of change and one of the mediations for social transformation.

It aims to explain the meaning of evaluative action from the perspective interdisciplinary, permeated by the metaphor: the eye of mandala. This is an action research-training, linking practice, theory and values and use of phenomenology to interpret the learning process and professional staff and how it reflects in the teaching activities of educator. It includes interdisciplinary attribute of courage, the description of the history of life, and dialogues produced in GEPI/PUC-SP and GEPI/Jacareí. It understands the investigative sense, according to studies Pineau, from three meanings and training in three movements, linking them to the categories of interdisciplinary of Fazenda. It presents the methodological steps of an interdisciplinary assessment: the perspective of the teacher, who welcomes the errors as a way to build the knowledge and pointing seizures by devolution of the student records early in the search for personal essence. It documents the use of the portfolio and the patchwork of registration and the procedures and structure of student learning, a significant and creative. Walk to the limits imposed by fear, dare to break, strengthening the sense of belonging: the courage to be as a part of an educational community. The memorial and the circular dance training, inter-movement record transmuted into evaluative and formative time for the choice and freedom, an understanding of rhythm and timing system of each one, by understanding their limits, problems and possibilities of being perceived as the territory of sacred form that allows evaluating and assessing trainee / A investigação segue a trilha interdisciplinar proposta por Fazenda, caminha do ator ao autor de uma história vivida: pesquisa o movimento desenhado pelas ações avaliativas na formação docente.

Pereira, Thelma Maria Franco Rabelo Ara?jo 10 October 2005 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-17T15:39:00Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 ThelmaMFRAP.pdf: 574286 bytes, checksum: ed90ec4f6f20b1647f4dadb92a4d5860 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2005-10-10 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / The elderly population growth in Brazil and in the world is an incontestable reality, arising from a significant declining rate in mortality and fertility, resulting from the remarkable improvements in the quality of life of the people. Associated with the introduction of new technologies in the medical area, these issues have been highly contributing for the increase of the population longevity. The numbers of the elderly in Brazil and in the world show female population predominance within the aging segment, a phenomenon known as the feminisation of the old-age . Aging, therefore, is nowadays one of the primary issues and that has been mobilizing the Brazilian s society, since the development raised from this new reality brought with it enormous challenges and complex social implications which are already felt in the daily lives of the societies. My work experience among some age groups has shown that aging is a much differentiated process which has instigated my interest in understanding why aging has to face an overwhelming and painful experience for some people and enriched and full of signification for others. Overviewing, this research aimed to understand the aging development through the analysis of the processes of signification and production of meaning that permeate the aging and the subjective well-being of three aged women participants of the Project Health and Citizenship on Third Age /CEFET-RN, that evidenced attitudes and behaviors concerning the integration and the activity toward the elderly population. The methodological strategy used was History of Life, starting from collecting data based on deep interviews. The analysis of data evidenced that the elderly well-being is a unique and distinct meaningful experience for each person, concerning each story of their lives within differentiated social, cultural, economic context, from this perspective one can demystify the concept of that aging occurs in a homogeneous way for everyone, everywhere and with the same rhythm. The narratives presented in this research showed the human development as being a dialectic, discursive and interactionist process which extends throughout the adult life and continues to the aging life. The guarantee that development and aging are a parallel phenomenon always in interdependence on the preceding phases of live, are corroborated within the studies. This present study confirms that the elderly population can be a phase of growth, personal realization and continued development, without disrespecting the heterogeneous and the subjectivity of the person who ages. Notifying those healthy and well-succeeded aging experiences, this issue has the intention to contribute to demystify the concept of aging as a social problem, illness needed to be treated, and the stereotypy of the elderly being dependent and unproductive / O aumento da popula??o idosa no Brasil e no mundo ? hoje uma realidade incontest?vel, fruto de significativas quedas nas taxas de mortalidade e fecundidade, decorrentes de uma destacada melhoria na qualidade de vida das pessoas.
