Based on interviews with workers in the adult CAPS and two UBS - with a mental health team and one without this team. The goal was to understand the establishment of hosting into these services, considering the perception of employees and identifying the link and network connection in this process. Was used as a methodological approach to philosophical hermeneutics of Gadamer, to identify which inner elements of the hosting process could be detached from the primate question: how is the mental health service? Proceeded to the analysis of narratives from them and were established three lines of argumentation: link, hosting, and the network connection. The results came in the form of four categories: feeling of lack, mix of models; precedence in hard technologies, and inefficient as to integrality. These findings were compared with other health service: the PSF, and only the category lack could not be checked

The Art of Hosting and Harvesting ».

System Support for Hosting Services on Server ClusterTseng, Chun-wei 22 July 2004 (has links)
Since the speedy popularity of Internet infrastructure and explosive increasing of World Wide Web services, a lot of traditional companies had web-enabled their business over Internet and used WWW as their application platform. Those web services, such as the on-line search, e-learning, e-commence, multimedia, network service, e-government etc., need a stable and powerful web server to support the huge capability.
The web hosting service becomes increasingly important in which the service providers offer system resources to store and to provide Web access to contents from individuals, institutions, and companies, who lack resources or expertise to maintain their Web site. Web server cluster is a popular architecture used by the hosting service providers as a way to create scalable and highly available solutions. However, hosting a variety of contents from different customers on such a distributed server system faces new design and management problems. This dissertation describes the work pursuing for constructing a system to address the challenges of hosting Web content on a server cluster environment.
Based on the achievement of the software-based content-aware distributor, some high repetition and fixity tasks originally treated by software module are delivered to hardware module for speeding up the packet processes and for sharing the loads on the software module. Our software-based distributor is implemented in Linux kernel as a loadable module. A few system calls in user level are built to support the integration of resource management.

Previous issue date: 2009-12-18 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The central theme of this study includes the host as a tool for humanizing health practices, based on results of research conducted at the national level that reflect the changes resulting from its application in various scenarios that shape health services. The host humanizes the practices of care by recognizing the characteristics that permeate the encounter between subjects, and expand access to health services, resulting in resolving care, based on co-responsibility, ethics and relationship. Thus, this study aims to investigate scientific studies published that focus on the central host and humanization in health care, examining the results from research conducted for the humanization of health care. This is a study of integrative literature review, for its implementation was conducted a search in the databases, the Virtual Health Library: LILACS and SciELO databases and portals of theses and dissertations from institutions: USP, UFC, UFPB , and CEBEN CAPES portal. To facilitate data collection were used as descriptors of the words: welcome, welcome, and access, hosting and bonding, comforting and humane, shelter and care. Data collection was performed during February, March, April and May of 2009. The sample consisted of 28 studies, available in full electronically published between 2002 to 2008. Data analysis identified three thematic categories: host, host to host and soft technology and access. Within these categories was possible to view the subcategories: bond, care, humanization, management of care and perception of professionals and users. In this context, the host introduced himself as a great tool that has the potential to transform the care practices that have been developed in health services, however, has been operationalized with difficulties. To become effective they must be worked from the perspective of raising awareness among professionals to recognize it as part of an indivisible whole in their practice of care. It involved the search for partnerships with the community in order to have her as an ally in this construction, a suggestion would be the formation of local health councils, to discuss among other things the construction of the host in health services so that they can act with his whole arsenal resolute.

Maria Goretti Soares Monteiro 25 April 2012 (has links)

Managing Soybean Cyst Nematode by Utilizing Cover Crops and Resistant Sources from Early Maturing Soybean AccessionsAcharya, Krishna January 2020 (has links)
Greenhouse and microplot studies were conducted for understanding the effects of cover crop species/cultivars for hosts and population reduction of soybean cyst nematode (SCN; Heterodera glycines) from the fields of North Dakota. Moreover, early-maturing soybean [Glycine max (L.)] accessions from different countries of origin were screened for resistance against two common SCN populations for finding new sources of resistance. Thirty-eight cover crop species/cultivars were evaluated for their hosting ability of two SCN populations (SCN103 and SCN2W) from two fields of North Dakota in greenhouse experiments. The majority of the tested crops were non-hosts for both SCN populations. However, a few of them, such as Austrian winter pea (Pisum sativum L.), crimson clover (Trifolium incarnatum L. cv. Dixie), crambe (Crambe abyssinica, cv. BelAnn), field pea, cvs. Aragorn and Cooper, hairy vetch (Vicia villosa Roth), turnip (Brassica rapa L. cv. Purple top), and white lupine (Lupinus albus L.) were poor-hosts/hosts of both SCN populations. Furthermore, thirteen of them were tested for the SCN population reduction either or both in the greenhouse and microplot experiments. Out of 13, at least four crops, such as annual ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.), brown mustard (Brassica juncea L. cv. Kodiak), daikon radish (Raphanus sativus L.), and turnip cv. Pointer showed more than 50% population reduction compared with initial population densitiy, consistently in the greenhouse or microplot experiments. The resistance screening of 152 early-maturing soybean accessions showed that a majority of the accessions were susceptible/moderately susceptible to both SCN populations (SCN HG type 0 and 2.5.7), while a few (n=18) showed good resistance responses to both or either of the SCN populations.
The cover crops, which were non-hosts/poor-hosts and have a greater ability for the SCN population reduction have great potential to be included in an integrated SCN management strategy. The novel resistant accessions identified in this study have the potential to be used in soybean breeding for developing SCN-resistant cultivars after confirming their resistance response and identifying the resistance genes/loci. The results obtained from this study helps in developing a sustainable SCN management strategy in the northern Great Plains.

Photovoltaic hosting capacity study for a residential area in Uppsala using a synthetic low voltage networkMbah, Ikenna January 2023 (has links)
With the growing acceptance of photovoltaic (PV) systems globally including Sweden, an increasing number of PV systems has continually been installed all through Sweden. In this study, a selected residential area in Uppsala Sweden is considered as a possible site for PV system installation. Due to the intermittent nature of this energy source and the disturbances it causes to the grid, there is therefore the need to determine the amount of PV that can be accommodated by the already existing grid without any adverse effect to it. This is known as hosting capacity (HC). The HC signifies the level of risks the network operator as well as customers are willing to take with regard to the stability of the grid network. Many possibilities exist by which this can be done which are well discussed later in this report. However, the deterministic method is used in this work. For an effective determination of the HC, the DIgSILENT Power Factory 2021 is used to simulate a synthetic network assumed to be similar to that of the area studied. A parametric analysis is also done to as certain the impact some network variables would have on the limit of PV systems a grid network can accommodate. The results of the study showed that under 0 % penetration, the grid network is stable and no violations witnessed neither from the network with 800 kVA transformer considered as the main network in this study nor that with 500 kVA used for the parametric studies. However, the loadings on the two transformers varied by about 15 %. Integrating PVs into the grid network introduced some level of instability which increases as the size of the PVs increases. This shows the need to peg the PVs’ size to a certain maximum to be able to have control over the grid network. Customers are allowed to install lower sizes but not more than this maximum. The results also showed that changing the transformer size do not affect the nodal voltages nor the cable loadings in the network provided all other parameters remained the same. The only impact is on the transformer loading, with smaller transformers experiencing higher loading condition. This study serves as a basis to determine the initial range of PV sizes customers are allowed to install in the area studied in Uppsala Sweden.

Fast and Scalable Power System Learning, Analysis, and PlanningTaheri Hosseinabadi, Sayedsina 01 February 2022 (has links)
With the integration of renewable and distributed energy resources (DER) and advances in metering infrastructure, power systems are undergoing rapid modernization that brings forward new challenges and possibilities, which call for more advanced learning, analysis, and planning tools. While there are numerous problems present in the modern power grid, in this work, this work has addressed four of the most prominent challenges and has shown that how the new advances in generation and metering can be leveraged to address the challenges that arose by them. With regards to learning in power systems, we first have tackled power distribution system topology identification, since knowing the topology of the power grid is a crucial piece in any meaningful optimization and control task. The topology identification presented in this work is based on the idea of emph{prob-to-learn}, which is perturbing the power grid with small power injections and using the metered response to learn the topology. By using maximum-likelihood estimation, we were able to formulate the topology identification problem as a mixed-integer linear program. We next have tackled the prominent challenge of finding optimal flexibility of aggregators in distribution systems, which is a crucial step in utilizing the capacity of distributed energy resources as well as flexible loads of the distribution systems and to aid transmission systems to be more efficient and reliable. We have shown that the aggregate flexibility of a group of devices with uncertainties and non-convex models can be captured with a quadratic classifier and using that classifier we can design a virtual battery model that best describes the aggregate flexibility. For power system analysis and planning, we have addressed fast probabilistic hosting capacity analysis (PHCA), which is studying how DERs and the intermittency that they bring to the power system can impact the power grid operation in the long term. We have shown that interconnection studies can be sped up by a factor of 20 without losing any accuracy. By formulating a penalized optimal power flow (OPF), we were able to pose PHCA as an instance of multiparametric programming (MPP), and then leveraged the nice properties of MPP to efficiently solve a large number of OPFs. Regarding planning in power systems, we have tackled the problem of strategic investment in energy markets, in which we have utilized the powerful toolbox of multiparametric programming to develop two algorithms for strategic investment. Our MPP-aided grid search algorithm is useful when the investor is only considering a few locations and our MPP-aided gradient descent algorithm is useful for investing in a large number of locations. We next have presented a data-driven approach in finding the flexibility of aggregators in power systems. Finding aggregate flexibility is an important step in utilizing the full potential of smart and controllable loads in the power grid and it's challenging since an aggregator controls a large group of time-coupled devices that operate with non-convex models and are subject to random externalities. We have shown that the aggregate flexibility can be accurately captured with an ellipsoid and then used Farkas' lemma to fit a maximal volume polytope inside the aforementioned ellipsoid. The numerical test showcases that we can capture 10 times the volume that conventional virtual generator models can capture. / Doctor of Philosophy / With the integration of renewable and distributed energy resources (DER) and advances in metering infrastructure, power systems are undergoing rapid modernization that brings forward new challenges and possibilities, which call for more advanced learning, analysis, and planning tools. O World Café e o aprendizado pelo diálogo: limites e possibilidades de um território de sentidos no processo de formação: \"diagnóstico socioambiental na APA Embu Verde: educação ambiental para a sustentabilidade na bacia do Rio Cotia\", Embu das Artes, SP / The World Café and the learning process through dialogue: limits and possibilities of a territory of meanings at the educational project: APA Embu Verde social and environmental diagnosis: environmental education to sustainability at Cotia river watershed, Embu das Artes, SP, BrazilFernandes, Maria Eugênia Seixas de Arruda Camargo 29 June 2015 (has links)
This research aims to comprehend the process of building a territory of meanings through dialogue within the framework of an environmental education project. We sought to investigate the sense of belonging and connections established between people and the environment at the Embu Verde environmental protected area through a process of dialogue and collective creation for a reading of world (FREIRE, 1996). Situated in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, in the city of Embu das Artes, the APA (Environmental Protected Area) Embu Verde is a conservation unity recently created by a municipal law (n. 108/2008). This research is inserted into a bigger project called APA Embu Verde Social and Environmental Diagnosis, financially supported by FEHIDRO (Water Resources State Fund), which is composed by multiple stakeholders and institutions including the public sector, civil society and University of São Paulo. In this context we used The World Café methodology (BROWN, 2001) which is included at the Art of Hosting approach, a set of innovative methodologies to deal with complex issues. We sought through this study to answer the question: In which way The World Café, as a dialogue method, can contribute to the environmental education process? Through the opportunity of a Capes/Fulbright scholarship we could deeply understand the methodology principles in contact to The World Café Community Foundation. We did 12 interviews with host leaderships who have been using such an approach in various fields in the city of Columbus, Ohio (US) to deal with complex issues in areas like Health, Education, Homelessness, Food Security. The results highlights the strong learning component present in such methodologies and the personal journey of each host as an important part of the process. The theoretical reference has multidisciplinary sources, with the authors working on different fields, like Education and Complexity (FREIRE, MORIN), Environmental Education (SORRENTINO, CARVALHO, SAUVÉ, JACOBI). The analysis of the data was based on hermeneutics, which is a symbolic interpretation with an anthropological approach through an interpretative journey (FERREIRA-SANTOS, 2006) in the field of Anthropology of Education.

Implementation of the Integrated Development Platform (IDP) / Implementation of the Integrated Development Platform (IDP)Dvořák, Petr January 2012 (has links)
The aim of the thesis was to design and develop a unified application for installation and integration of the software management tools into a single comprehensive and functional unit. The application should also allow export of the project metadata via the RESTful API. The goals of the thesis were fulfilled relatively well. A set of installation scripts was created, as well as a functional web application built using the JavaEE platform. The application can be deployed in a small company after performing minor modifications. Less common deployment scenarios for CGI based applications on Apache Tomcat were also examined. Minor enhancements in the open-source project NetBeans were implemented as well. Also, a branded version of Bugzilla was created and deployed in an existing small software company.
