Metodval i projekteringsfasen : Bostadshus Ljusbojen 1

Eklund, Johan, Larsson, Emil January 2007 (has links)

This major project in Building Engineering has its focus on inquiring into what methods has been used in the planning process of the residential building

Ljusbojen 1. This project has been conducted in cooperation with Kadesjös Ingenjörsbyrå AB, an engineering contractor firm which also acts as the property developer. Initially several different general methods for planning residential buildings have been presented. After the methods from the process of building Ljusbojen 1 has been analyzed compared to the general methods presented in part 1. This shows what the determining factors are during the planning process; factors such as cost, quality, time management, know-how and environmental issues. Ljusbojen 1 has been a good building to study as it has a quite rare architecture and is meant to be perceived as a luxurious resident. The building has been divided into several different parts as this is how they are in the presented in offers, also the different parts are more easily analyzed; the parts are: foundation preparation, framework, exterior, rooming complements and installations. The basis of information has been extracted from relevant literature, planning project reports and in-person interviews. As the scope of this project covers a large field work has been concentrated on the most interesting methods. As a general result it can be determined that the building industry has been pressured to develop and try new methods mainly because of new and daring architectures. However, many existing and well known methods are still in use as the companies know that they work and can offer lower price from these.

Analyse multifractals des signaux géophysiques

Ouadfeul, Sid-Ali 15 January 2006 (has links) (PDF)
Since twenty years wavelet transform was recognized as a privileged tool for analysis of the fractals objects. We exploited the self-similarity of the wavelet transform to detect singularity which is a fractal signal characterization .In a first part, we use the wavelet transform modulus maxima lines (WTMM) as a tool for analysis of synthetics fractals signals. In second part we applied this technique to the data of wells located in the Algerian Sahara, we proposed then an automatic algorithm of segmentation which is applied thereafter to a simple resolution well-logs data another with a high resolution. We demonstrate the potentialities of the method in the segmentation of different geological formations. We finalize this work by planning a multilayer perceptron neuronal machine. We used the precedents results as information able to detect the lithology and the nature of the pores fluid . Keywords: Wavelet transform, WTMM, Segmentation, simple resolution, High resolution.

Södergren, Maria, Dandanell, Sofie January 2008 (has links)

"But one day she met this wonderful boy,he make her smile and believe in her self": : An Investigation into the Construction of Gender in School pupils' essays

Lysén Frej, Ulrika January 2009 (has links)

This essay analysed how gender is established in students’ texts. The aim of the study was to find out if the students in a class in an upper secondary school were able to produce texts where female and male subjects were not influenced by prevailing gender roles. The analysis was based on Halliday’s Functional Grammar Theory. Furthermore, the results are interpreted in the light of the guidelines of the Curriculum and the Education Act. To fulfil the aim of this essay 32 texts were analysed from the extra linguistic factor of gender.

The linguistic factors examined were verbs (dynamic/stative, transitive/intransitive), if the subjects function as actors or not were the factors used to establish if there is a difference between how females and males are represented in the texts. Furthermore the use of adjectives, nouns and predicatives modifying the grammatical subjects were also taken in consideration in the analysis. The hypothesis was based on a previous study made on the teaching book Blueprint A and the results from this current study were compared to the results from that study. The study finds that in the texts examined females are established as more stative than males and because of that it is possible to draw conclusions that the teaching book can influence the student in their writing but also that school not always uphold the goals of the Curriculum and the Education Act in the issue regarding gender equality.

Alsterqvist, William, Skrba, Marie January 2007 (has links)

The new accounting standards IFRS and IAS was implemented in January 2005, the purpose was to harmonize accounting standards world wide. As a result of these new rules the real estate companies are allowed to appraise real estates assets at market value. It has long been debated whether this appraisal fulfils the requirements for relevance, reliability and comparability.

The paper attends to how banks control the information given by the real estate companies in the process of credit granting. As an introduction we describe the purpose of accounting and the problematic´s about appraisals with market values. Further on there is a discussion on which factors are taken into consideration when banks grant credits.

The study is built on interviews at three different commercial banks. At each bank one bank advisor was interviewed, the respondent were given specific questions and at the same time were free to speak openly about the subject.

In conclusion all banks focus on the real estates companies ability to repay the bank credits with revenues from the investment. With the focus on reimbursement banks will minimize the risk of credit losses and thereby decrease the risk of history repeating itself with new bank crisis. Besides the ability to repay credits banks also consider the fact’s, who is leading the company and how this owner has conduct prior businesses. In comparison whit theory and empirics all banks, in there credit granting process, fulfil the requirements for relevance, reliability and comparability. In summary the banks do not consider real estates valued at market prices as a problem in there assessments.

Ragnestam, Maria January 2007 (has links)

The aim of this paper is to perform a comparative study between the photography’s of Leila Khaled and Shirin Neshat in order to observe if the woman are able to recede from an conventional formation to become the bearer of the veil and not only reduced to that which

needs to be concealed. From a feministic perspective I have observed how the symbolic of the veil moulds the woman and how the woman in her context moulds the veil.

In the description of the news photography of Khaled and the art photography produced by Neshat the mechanisms that lies as a foundation for the modelling of the portraits becomes

the essays primary entrance. Mechanisms that evolve around the creation of the woman as aconcept, a subject shaped for being looked at and the woman’s self-image through others.

The textual discourse is visually enhanced through a comparative picture material visually enhanced and explained through photographs by the contemporary artist photographers Cindy Sherman, Catherine Opie, Laurie Simmons, Robert Mapplethorpe and Elin Berge. The visual comparative material also interacts with the essays primary picture material and further expresses the oppression of the woman that occurs irrespective of culture through a patriarch cal gender system.

Tanhan, Nagehan, Özer, Beatrix January 2007 (has links)

Earlier this year the Swedish migration board gave a part of their responsibility for the separated children to those municipalities that have signed an agreement with them, so that the children can get the best handling of their matters and also to lift the heavy pressure of the Swedish migration board. Our aim in this paper is to see how this division is made and which areas of responsibility they have. We want to see how this process is being handled in relation to these children’s rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Swedish law. To get the best information possible we used a qualitative method. We have in this study used reports written by voluntary organizations and the Swedish migration board. We have also used a few laws and interviewed people that have a central position in handling separated children. The study has shown that the Swedish migration board and the municipalities do not always fulfill the demands that the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Swedish law require.
/

A study of the teacher’s awareness of gender

Rohyo, Maria, Riccardi, Susanna January 2007 (has links)

The law of 2006 about Equal treatment, has been put in place to stop discrimination of students, example based on their gender. The law has an important function to increase the equality of opportunity between girls and boys in school. Therefore the teacher has an imported roll for raising the equality of opportunity between girls and boys in school. That’s why it’s imported to work gender awareness. The purpose of this paper is to examine the teacher’s awareness of gender. This has been accomplished by describing the teacher’s gender awareness through their teaching. In this study the equity feminism and the gender feminism perspectives will be used to get the two different perspectives way’s to see and apprehend gender. These two different perspectives will be used as our instrument to analyse the teacher’s gender awareness. The methods implemented in this study, are interviews with open questions and a questionnaire. The conclusion shows that the teachers own self understanding about gender awareness is very important in the contributing part in the creation of stereo typical gender rolls, which can prevent the student’s individual progression. From an equity feminism perspective shall the teachers look threw an individual perspective and not from their gender. The teachers shall see similarities between girls and boys, to raise equality of opportunity between girls and boys in school. In comparison to gender feminism doses it exist biological differences between girls and boys. Therefore shall the teachers observe the difference, to raise equality of opportunity between girls and boys in school.

Khezri, Renas January 2008 (has links)

We live in an information society where we are constantly surrounded by the "written" language and therefore the demands on the individuals writing are very high. One of the issues in many schools has been how to motivate the students writing. This undergraduate thesis involves motivation and the purpose this project is to investigate how different teachers motivate their students writing. For this purpose four teachers working at the same school (grade 4-6) were interviewed. Many of the theories from the theoretical section have been used in order to understand and analyse the information gained from the teachers.

Earlier research indicates that lack of motivation blocks learning while other scientists claim that children are seeking creatures by nature and motivation is not necessary. When it comes to writing, research indicates that it is nearly always the teacher who decides what the students should write and how the text should bee. Lpo 94 advocates student influence since education should confirm the students’ demands and conditions.

Judging from the result of the teachers’ interviews one can claim factors as boring writing assignments, unclear instructions, lack of imagination, decreasing reading aloud and too much influence by computers as some of the reasons for lack of motivation concerning students’ writing. This study further indicates that although the teachers working at the same school different strategies are used for motivating students writing. Some of the teachers use pictures in order to expound on their students imagination. Others give a beginning of a text so that the students can build on it and complete the story. A constantly recurring pattern is that the teachers don’t allow their students to decide what to write about in order not to create too much confusion. Many teachers claim that lack of time is also a big problem.
/

Ericson, Lisa January 2008 (has links)

In this study I will analyze how men who buy sex interact with one another on two different Internet communities: “Sekreterarakademin” and “Flashback”. This analysis is carried out in an attempt to challenge the conventional image of the man who pays for sex.

The aim is to examine the role of Internet forums for men who buy sexual services related to cross-border, both in terms of standard borders, gender boundaries, boundaries of sexuality and masculinity. I will also attempt to investigate what opportunities that are available to overrun different borders and how these opportunities affect the conditions of the various players. I will evaluate theories such as homosocialtet, hegemonic masculinity and normalization used by KAST (Köpare Av Sexuella Tjänster, the Swedish public support for clients of sexual services) and which are partially consolidated in studies published by KAST concerning issues related to internet based prostitution.
