Tillämpning av modell för mätning av kvalitetsbristkostnader : Examensarbete om kvalitetsbristkostnader hos CNC Quality AB / Application of a model for measurement of costs of poor quality : A bachelor thesis about costs of poor quality at CNC Quality AB

Lundell Vakkuri, Samuel January 2019 (has links)
The concept of costs of poor quality is about knowing what the lack of quality costs an organization, as well as its effects and causative factors. Measuring costs of poor quality makes it possible to identify improvement opportunities and in the future be able to measure the result with the quality work. This report includes a production technical improvement project by analyzing routines and working methods when measuring costs of poor quality at CNC Quality Karlskoga AB. The purpose of the work is to provide recommendations for how a system for measuring costs of poor quality should be measured in the future in order to continuously establish quality work to maximize profitability. By combining information from previous courses, interviews, literature study and inductive benchmarking study, quality defects could be identified and compiled. Using the cause-effect diagram and tree diagram, cost drivers could be pointed out and causative parameters developed. Many of the costs are not quantifiable and therefore had to be estimated at a standard cost. The results of the report are a solution for being able to measure the most appropriate costs through changes in the procedures for increased control and adjustment work. Two new production groups have been developed and implemented in the business system. With this model the user will in the future be able to handle a continuous and well-arranged quality work that results in better profitability.

Jack och Allt : En idéanalytisk studie av litteraturkritik / Jack and Allt : An idea analytic study of literary criticism

Holmbom, Ida January 2008 (has links)
The aim of this Master's thesis is to study how generational identities are conveyed in the reception of two debut novels, Jack by Ulf Lundell and Allt by Martina Lowden. Both novels have been considered literary and social expressions of their generations. The empirical material consists of 14 reviews in Swedish daily press from the time of publication of Jack and Allt, respectively. The thesis revolves around the following questions: How is the generational identity defined in terms of lifestyle practices, milieus and other social circumstances? To what extent are structured factors such as gender and class considered? How are the critics considering the reflexive project of the self? I base the theoretical framework on Anthony Giddens' theories about identity creation in the late modern society. Idea analysis is used in the classification and analysis of the textual material. The model of analysis is based on factors that by Giddens are considered to affect the identity process. The result of the analysis shows that the generational identities expressed in the two novels appear very different. In the reviews discussing Jack, the identity is based on destructive lifestyle practices and is closely related to the political environment. In the reviews of Allt the identity is connected to a literary main theme that is constructed in relation to mediated influences. The conclusion suggests an increased understanding of the individual identity as a result of a reflexive process. / Uppsatsnivå: D

Hermansson, Johnny January 2009 (has links)
<p>Ulf Lundell is one of the most famous songwriters and authors in Sweden. He has written fifteen works of fiction and they’ve all same theme – a lonely man trying to look into his own past life. They are all built on a character, writing from an I-perspective, having a bit of Lundells own biography in there’s personality.</p><p> The aim of his thesis is to find out how Ulf Lundell presents him self in his fictive characters, and will trace the authors development from a psychological point of view. The theoretic starting points are Lacans Freudian concepts “idealego”, “egoideal” and “the superego”, describing the psychological alteration at the author.                   </p><p>The examination contains an analysis of Lundells novels <em>Jack</em>, <em>En varg söker sin flock</em> and <em>Värmen</em>, and throws light on the relationship between the author and his characters, and how it developes and changes with Lundells literary development.

Malm, David January 2014 (has links)
Holy war against the aberration and the newspaper terrorism Heligt krig mot förvillelsen och tidningsterrorismen   This paper explores Bernhard von Beskow’s (1796-1868) conservative critique of the, for the early 19th century, new dominating voice in public matters namely the liberal press. There are competing narratives about the emerging liberal press and its critics. On the one hand the conservative critics were seen as hopeless reactionaries which acted against freedom of the press, themselves stripped of positive ideals and/or handled with little interest as footnotes in the great story of the liberal victory over its opponents. On the other hand this story has been questioned and an alternative has been presented of how to understand the conservatives and their critique of the press. This other story suggests that the critique was merely a critique of the new type of biased publicists that the liberal press brought about. The older form of newspapers, supposedly defended by the conservatives, were more of organs for the readers and their conversations amongst each other. The readers would send in whatever they had to say and the editor’s duty was to print it. The new type of newspapers, however, spoke in its own name for the people, it wasn’t longer a conversation from person to person. This paper doesn’t fully agree with any of the stories. Instead the paper shows how the conservative von Beskow had positive ideals, that he wasn’t against the freedom of the press as such, and that the conservative strain in von Beskow’s critique was not his will to preserve an older type of press. It was instead his opinion that the liberal press had an abstract understanding of politics and therefore wasn’t rooted in concrete political work, making it nonsense. Therefore the critique was mainly directed against a new and potentially destructive force of the political life of Sweden.

Strandberg, Per Olof January 2023 (has links)

A Model Based Fault Detection and Diagnosis Strategy for Automotive Alternators

D'Aquila, Nicholas January 2018 (has links)
Faulty manufactured alternators lead to commercial and safety concerns when installed in vehicles. Alternators have a major role in the Electrical Power Generation System (EPGS) of vehicles, and a defective alternator will lead to damaging of the battery and other important electric accessories. Therefore, fault detection and diagnosis of alternators can be implemented to quickly and accurately determine the health of an alternator during end of line testing, and not let faulty components leave the manufacturer. The focus of this research is to develop a Model Based Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) strategy for detecting alternator faults during end of line testing. The proposed solution uses Extended Kalman Smooth Variable Structure Filter (EK-SVSF) to detect common alternator faults. A solution using the Dual Extended Kalman Filter (DEKF) is also discussed. The alternator faults were programmatically simulated on alternator measurements. The experimental results prove that both the EK-SVSF and DEKF strategies were very effective in alternator modeling and detecting open diode faults, shorted diode faults, and stator imbalance faults. / Thesis / Master of Applied Science (MASc)

Integrating Weather Conditions in Truck Route Optimization : Maximizing Utilization and Cost-effectiveness

Stenbratt, Sigrid, Lundell, Paulina January 2023 (has links)
Abstract The focus of the thesis is researching how to optimize a certain route, highlighting theimportance of weather conditions in the context of optimizing truck routes. Additionally, itemphasizes the goals of maximizing human utilization and cost-effectiveness. The project teamconducted a survey on fuel habits, and the results showed that the participating companies lackeda defined strategy for the company's fuel habits or a specific approach for selecting fuelingcompanies. The project team developed an algorithm that assists drivers in selecting the mostoptimized routes while enabling companies to calculate these routes efficiently. Data wascollected on the fuel consumption associated with the loading and unloading of goods. The totalroute cost is calculated using a custom equation that includes the driver´s salary, the employer´ssocial security contribution, the cost of the truck when loading and unloading, and the wear onthe truck. The company naturally expects to generate a profit, and such profit margins may differamong companies. Therefore, the project team excluded this factor from the equation todetermine the route's cost. The findings showed that varying weather conditions did impactconsumption, thereby influencing the final cost. The algorithm that the project team made is asignificant milestone toward the completion of the final product. However, there are still a fewremaining steps to be taken in order to achieve the desired end result and future development.

Liljestrand, Simon, Lundell, Viktor January 2020 (has links)
Crawl spaces in some form have been used as foundations in Sweden for a long time.In the past, it was uninsulated crawl spaces that eventually evolved into insulatedcrawl spaces and open plinth foundations. An increased relative humidity during thesummer is a common problem for crawl spaces that are ventilated with outdoor air. The purpose of the case study is to study an outdoor ventilated structure with wellinsulated floor and ground insulation. The construction is below ground level andthe ventilation takes place via a thin air gap below ground level. The temperatureand relative humidity in the air gap are of interest to determine if there is a risk ofmould growth in the design. A simulation of the heat flow between the building and the ground is carried out inCOMSOL Multiphysics 5.5 to determine the temperature distribution in the design. The temperature distribution is the basis for the determination of relative vaporcontent in the air gap of the structure. The simulation uses climate data for a typicalyear in Gävle. The simulation shows a high temperature in the air gap which gives a relative vaporcontent as a monthly average of 37–77% during a year. The high temperature in theair gap contributes to keeping the structure dry when critical relative humidity, 75–80%, is not exceeded for a longer period of time. The results are surprisingly positive with a low risk of mold growth in the construction. There are many assumptions, in particular, which airflow is found in the airgap. In order to validate the results in the work, measurements should be made onthe two prototype houses that exist.
